Choose Your Shot: An Interactive Erotic Adventure Page 48

“What?” Eli was frowning and she hated to know that she was the reason for it. “You can’t tell me that was enough to do you in. I know you a lot better than that. And I said I was sorry.”

“Trust me, you did and it’s a good thing. You made me come so hard that my brain is still tingling. But you’ve also given me a lot of things to think about. I can’t have rational thoughts while I’m in this place.”

“I didn’t mean to run you off.” He took her hand, stopping her from putting her corset back on. “I’m sorry.”

“No, you didn’t. In fact, I’ve often thought myself what it would be like if we spent some time together outside of the club. I was just too scared to wreck things if we gave it a try.”

“I’m not a scary kind of guy.” He stepped closer, lowering his head until his lips brushed her cheek. “Please stay. I promise we can just talk if that’s what you want to do. I missed you so much, I hate the idea of you leaving already.”

The temptation was there to do what he wanted. She knew it would eventually lead to another round of amazing sex, one she wouldn’t regret even a little. But it would take away her opportunity to think about what she wanted. Who she wanted to spend more time with outside of the club. It wasn’t fair to either of them if she went down this road too soon.

“Eli, you’re awesome and you’ve known me long enough to understand that I need some time to think. My head will get all messed up and I wouldn’t want to shortchange either of us.”

  “It wouldn’t do that—”

“Hon, you don’t know that.” She gave his hand a squeeze before letting it go. “Look, I really am tired. Everything that’s been going on here tonight has put my system into overload. I think I’m going to go home and have a bath.”

He was still frowning, but this time he nodded. “Okay. As long as I didn’t do anything to bring this on. To hurt you.”

“Oh my God, not at all.” She hugged him hard. “If anything, you’ve made me see things in a new light. I can’t tell you how much I appreciate that.”

When she pulled away, she saw that most of the tension had left him. “Well, that’s okay then. I’ll give you a call? Maybe in a day or two so we can talk about this.”

“Sounds good. We can always meet at Pulled Long, then we’re close to here if things go well.” He gave her a wink and suddenly the old Eli was back.

The panic that was threatening to fill her chest receded. “Sounds good. I’ll call you.” Without a second thought, Tegan placed a kiss to his lips. “Good-night, sweetheart.”

  Tegan goes home.

Tegan got to her feet and picked up her leather skirt. “Hon, I think you might have worn me out.”

“What?” Eli was frowning and she hated to know that she was the reason for it. “You can’t tell me that was enough to do you in. I know you a lot better than that. And I said I was sorry.”

Tegan got to her feet and picked up her leather skirt. “I wasn’t expecting that, but I know you didn’t mean it.”

“What?” He was frowning and she hated to know that she was the reason for it. “I know I’m not the only guy who’s after your attentions. I’m sorry if I screwed up, but I’d love to have a chance for more.”

“It’s not that I haven’t thought about you like that before. I have.” She wasn’t about to confess how many dreams that he’d starred in over the years. Eli was hot, but he was also safe. Like a comfortable pair of sneakers that you put on when you wanted to feel good. “But I’m not sure about it.”

But it would take away her opportunity to experiment, to see who she wanted to spend more time with outside of the club. It wasn’t fair to either of them if she went down this road without giving herself an opportunity to see what she really wanted.

“Look, I don’t want to lie to you and say that you’re the only man I’ve ever been into. I like you and, yes, I think there could be something really cool between us. But I need time to find someone who is willing to do things with me beyond the club. This isn’t simply about sex. I’m looking for someone who wants to watch movies with me as much as they want to tie me up and flog me.”

“Okay.” He was still frowning, but this time he nodded. “And you’re not convinced I’m that guy.”

“Are you? Can you stand there and tell me that we know each other well enough and are willing to be exclusive? I’m not sure I can say that, and I wouldn’t want to force you into it either. It needs to be the right decision for both of us.”

Time passed, but instead of things weighing them down, she finally relaxed. Everything was out in the open for him to see. She shouldn’t have been surprised when his frown disappeared, replaced by that mischievous smirk.

“Well, I guess this means I have some thinking to do too.”

“It appears so.” She should have known he would be able to take her freak-out in stride. “How about I give you a call, maybe in a day or two so we can talk? I owe it to both of us to have some time to think things over and not give you a snap decision.”

“Fair enough. We can always meet at Pulled Long, then we’re close to here if things go well.” He gave her a wink and suddenly the old Eli was back.

The panic that was threatening to fill her chest receded. “You are the coolest guy I know. I’ll call you.” Without a second thought, she placed a kiss to his lips. “I’ll see you later.”

“Okay, but, Tegan, I hope you realize that regardless of what happened here tonight, I’m not going to give you up without a fight.”

As she turned to leave, something in her chest warmed. She knew this wouldn’t be the last she’d see of him.

  Tegan goes to the dungeon.
