Finding Mistletoe : Christmas of Love Collaboration Page 3

by AJ Alexander

  “Sorry, Dad,” Misty begins.

“We had a little issue at the restaurant, but I ordered a meat lover’s for you,” I cut her off. “It should be here any minute now.”

“Thanks…” his words trail off, like he’s unsure of what to call me.

“This is Lucas, Dad. He is the one who rented out the manor for the week.” Misty gives me a bright smile and mouths her thanks before turning back to her dad. “It’s started snowing. Can we borrow the Santa Mobile?”

I raise my eyebrow, but she waves away my concern.

“Sure. The keys are on the hook in the back,” he says.

Misty gently kisses dad’s cheek before heading toward the back.

“I know who you are, Lucas. You better treat my little girl like the princess she is.” He looks up from the computer screen, leveling me with a stare. This isn’t Santa, but Misty’s protective father.

“I don’t know what you mean, sir.” I walk around the store, attempting to look anywhere but at him.

“Don’t play dumb with me, boy. I looked at her mother the same way the first time we met. I knew as soon as she smiled at me that I was going to spend the rest of my life with her.” A soft smile crosses his face as he looks back down toward the computer in front of him. “I’ll be sad to see her go, but she is meant for more than this little Christmas town.”

“I’d never hurt her intentionally. You have my word.” I know these are just words to him, but I will prove I’m worth putting his faith in.

“Good. Now that we’ve gotten that out of the way…call me Chris.” He flashes me a quick grin as Misty comes barreling out of the back room.

“Did I miss anything?” she questions as her head swivels back and forth to look at both of us.

“When were you going to tell me your name was Mistletoe?” I change the subject, not wanting to throw her dad under the bus.

“If you were more observant, you would have noticed already.” She taps the name tag on her uniform as she walks right past me. “I need to get back to the shop so my dad can eat his lunch is peace.”

My eyes widen in shock. How the hell did I miss that on her nametag?

“No rush, sweetie. It’s a slow day, I’m going to wait for my pizza to arrive and head home.” Her dad winks at me while she can’t see.

“Let’s get this show on the road,” she says before ducking out the door.

I follow her out the door toward the truck, which seems to have been transported out of a Hallmark movie.

“What do you think? I told you it was a little conspicuous.” Misty gives me a bright smile as she leans against the side of a cherry-red 1957 Chevy fleet side pickup truck with a white top.

As I walk closer to the truck, images of her chocolate-brown hair spread across the white leather seats as I make her mine fill my mind.

Didn’t her father just warn me away from treating his daughter like anything other than a princess? But I can’t help myself.

I notice some mistletoe hanging from the antenna of the truck and get an idea. I stalk toward her, caging her in with my arms.

She stands up straight, looking around nervously. “What are you doing Lucas?”

“Just following tradition,” I mumble before capturing her lips with mine once again.

Unlike last time, Misty wraps her arms around my neck.

“The things I want to do to you, little Mistletoe,” I growl as I nip and suck along the collar of her uniform. “The only thing missing is a flat surface.”

She gives my chest a gentle push, and I take a step back. I should probably apologize for attacking her in the parking lot, but I’m not sorry.

“You’re supposed to kiss someone under the mistletoe, not whenever you see one,” she quips.

I watch as she reaches behind her and opens the door before sliding in.

“Semantics.” I flash her one of my panty-dropping smiles before shutting the door and heading toward the passenger side. Before I open the door, I take a deep breath and adjust the bulge in my pants.

“I would let you drive it, but my dad loves this thing more than me.”

“I sincerely doubt that,” I respond, gently placing my bag on the bed before climbing into the passenger side door with Santa’s Sleigh written on it in calligraphy. I slide across the beautiful white leather seats with red piping and buckle in before turning toward Misty. “There is nothing about you not to love, Misty. This truck is something for your dad to drive. You’re something he will cherish forever.”

We stare at each other for what seems like an eternity.

“If you’re not careful, I may start believing you want something from me other than a place to stay,” Misty responds before turning forward and cranking the engine.

“How do you know I don’t?” I mumble under my breath, hoping the rumble of the engine masks my words.

When she doesn’t respond, I take that as a good sign. We drive the short way to the manor, and Misty points out different tourist-type locations along the way.

I know I should be listening, but my mind drifts back to her words from a few moments ago. I didn’t believe love was in the cards for me, especially with my issues in the media, but meeting her is a breath of fresh air. Misty doesn’t have any expectations. She has no idea what I do for a living or what people have been saying behind my back. All she knows is Lucas, the man, and no one else.

Her voice brings me back to the present. “We’re here.”

I immediately take in my new home away from home. Mistletoe Manor isn’t what I expected to see. In my imagination, it was a small cottage with Internet and maybe a nice tree to sit under. Instead, a sprawling colonial-style home with a grand entrance sits before me.

“Not what you were expecting, is it?” Misty asks as she heads for the front door.

“Not even a little,” I respond before jumping out, grabbing my bag, and following behind her.

She quickly opens the door, bringing a cozy entry into view, and toes off her boots. “Take your boots off. I don’t think you want to step in a puddle of ice later.”

I flash her a bright smile as I head toward the small bench by the stairs. As I sit and begin taking off my boots, she continues.

“All the rooms are upstairs obviously.” She points to a small hallway to the left of the bench. “There is a bathroom here, and through here is a living room and the kitchen.”

I quickly stand and follow her into the living room. The space is decorated minimally, with a few Christmas signs and a decorated tree to the left of the entertainment center, framed by two medium-sized couches.

“It’s nothing too fancy, but you won’t want for anything.” Her cheeks darken once again as she continues into the small galley-style kitchen. “I stocked the fridge with some essentials. There are also a few steaks and chicken breasts in the freezer. I wasn’t sure what you would like to eat, but there is a grocery store in town. If there’s anything else you need, just let me know.”

“There is only one thing I need right now.” I stalk toward her, and she backs away from me until she collides with the small bar.

“What might that be?” Her voice quivers as her pupils dilate.

If I didn’t know better, I’d say Misty is as hungry for me as I am for her.

  “You.”

I capture her mouth. This time, I have her right where I want her, and I’m not letting her get away.

  Chapter 6

  Mistletoe

Lucas suddenly lifts me as if I weigh nothing and places me gently on the bar top. “This is your last chance to run, Mistletoe,” he growls as he nibbles his way down my neck. “I have every intention of making you mine tonight. There will be no going back.”

“You’re practically famous, and I’m a small-town Christmas elf,” I respond as a million other reasons it won’t work between us filter through my mind.

“My job makes me famous, but it’s just a job. It doesn’t define who I am as a person, and it sure as hell doesn
t dictate who I am going to be with.” Lucas leans back slightly and cages me in with his arms. “I have never been one to believe in love at first sight until I walked in and saw you.” He continues to stare deeply into my eyes, searching for something, before he continues. “I know it's crazy, but you are the person I can picture spending the rest of my life with. If you tell me no, I will back off, but I know you want this as much as I do.”

Can I take the chance that Lucas wants me for longer than a one-night stand? That I could have a life with him outside of his quick getaway for the Christmas holiday?

“I-I want you,” I stammer before leaning forward and wrapping my arms around his neck. “Even if it’s just for tonight. I want to be with you.”

Without hesitating, Lucas pulls my hair, causing me to gasp in surprise, and kisses me once again. This kiss feels different from all the others, as if he’s sharing a part of his soul with me and giving me a part of himself that no one has ever had access to. A part he has never shared with another. A gift I will cherish forever.

We break apart, both gasping for air, and I wrap my legs around his waist, pulling closer to him.

“If you aren’t careful, little girl, I may just take you right here on this countertop.”

I run my tongue along the curve of his neck, nipping at his Adam’s apple.

“This is a flat surface,” I whisper into his ear.

He groans as he quickly slides his arm under my leg, hoists me in the air, and bounds toward the front of the house. “It may be a flat surface, but it doesn’t give me enough room to enjoy your body. I plan to devour you whole. There will be no part of your body my lips haven’t touched once I’m finished with you.”

  “Promises, promises,” I respond.

Lucas takes the stairs three at a time, reaching the top quickly. It seems his long legs are good for something other than grabbing rebounds. He turns left at the top of the stairs, stalks into the bedroom, and drops me on the bed before climbing on with me. He quickly reaches into his pocket, grabs his wallet, and pulls out a condom.

“So sure I would fall into bed with you only moments after meeting you, Mr. Barnes?” I scramble to get off the bed. I knew that this was a bad idea from the start, but I let his sweet words cloud my mind.

I don’t get very far before Lucas shoves me back down onto the bed, supporting his weight on his arms. “I never planned for anything, Mistletoe. But I hoped like hell you would see me as something other than what it says in the papers.”

“I don’t read the papers. I don’t know what kind of man you are, Lucas, and that terrifies me.”

Lucas gives me a feather-light kiss before spreading my legs wide enough for him to lie between them. “I promise that I will never hurt you. I promise I have never felt this way for anyone. You, only you, Mistletoe.”

I look for any inkling that he is feeding me a line or just trying to get into my pants, but I come up with nothing.

“What did I tell you about promises?” he says as he lowers his body on top of mine, pressing me deep into the mattress.

“You’re a stickler for promises,” I say breathlessly.

“And I never make a promise I can’t keep, Misty.” Lucas rests his forehead gently against mine as he threads his fingers through my hair. “Can you see yourself with me?”

I close my eyes and savor the moment, knowing that my answer will change the rest of my life.

After taking a deep breath, I gently kiss him and smile. “That sounds good to me.”

He moans loudly before sliding down my body, taking one of my nipples into his mouth through my shirt. My back arches off the bed as he bites down gently, rolling it between his teeth before letting it go with a pop before he continues down my body, nipping at my stomach. He slowly raises my tunic, exposing the soft flesh underneath, while using his other hand to tug my candy cane-striped leggings off in one fluid motion.

Lucas leans back on his heels, staring down at me with a primal desire. I lie still for a few moments and wait for him to say something, anything.

Noticing my discomfort, he climbs off the end of the bed. “I’ve never seen anything more beautiful than you in this very moment.”

“Yeah, an elf costume is really sexy,” I sniffle as I swipe a few tears off my cheek and lift onto my elbows.

“Who knew elves were my thing?” he chuckles as he grabs my ankles and pulls my body to the end of the bed.

I drop flat onto my back, and he swipes his tongue along my slit before latching onto my clit and sucking through the thin material of my panties. I writhe as he slides my panties to the slide and inserts one finger inside me, curling it perfectly to brush against my G-spot. Lucas continues to nibble and lap at my folds as he inserts another finger.

“I never imagined it would feel like this,” I mumble, biting down on my lip attempting to stifle another moan.

“Let me hear you, Misty. I want to know how good I make you feel.”

Giving into his request, I climb higher and higher toward my release. After what seems like a few minutes, my hips lift off the bed involuntary as I scream.

“Okay, I lied. That was the most beautiful thing I’ve ever seen,” Lucas growls, gently pulling his fingers out and shoving them in his mouth, licking them clean with a groan as he stands.

I watch as he quickly unbuckles his pants and shoves them down, along with his boxers.

“You have no idea the things I plan to do to you Mistletoe.” Lucas nudges my knees open wider as he climbs between them, lining his cock up with my entrance.

“I’ve never …” I trail off, not wanting to explain my lack of experience.

Lucas’s eyes widen in understanding, but he recovers quickly and kisses my forehead. “This is the last time I ever want to cause you pain.”

“I know,” I say with conviction.

In one fluid motion, Lucas thrusts forward, and I gasp in surprise.

“Relax, baby,” he whispers as he peppers my face with kisses.

After a few moments, the pain subsides as he rocks gently back and forth inside me.

“So good,” I whisper as I wrap my legs around his waist, pulling him closer and forcing him deeper inside me.

Lucas grips my ass cheeks tightly before thrusting deeper, caressing me in places I never knew existed as he pumps in and out of me, faster and faster

“Yes! Yes!” I scream as he pounds harder and harder.

I grip onto his shoulder and lift my hips meeting his rhythm with my own. My nails dig into his skin, and I rake my fingers down his back.

“I’m close, baby. I won’t last much longer, but I promise to make it up to you later.”

I lock eyes with Lucas as I slide my hand between us and rub my clit slowly, climbing toward another release.

“Come for me, Misty. Come right fucking now!” he commands.

I immediately let out a shrill cry. His hips continue slapping against me before he follows behind me into oblivion, then he slows down his pace, pumping in and out of me to draw out my orgasm. Tiny aftershocks course through my body.

Lucas drops onto his elbows again, resting his forehead on mine and smiling at me. “Was it everything you were expecting?”

“And then some,” I respond, leaning forward and brushing a kiss on his forehead.

We continue to stare at each other before my stomach growls loudly, causing us both to giggle.

“I guess it’s time to feed my girl,” Lucas announces before sliding out of me with a groan and pulling on his boxers. “Good thing you stocked the place. I don’t plan on letting you out of my sight.”

I lie there, hoping to have a few moments to process everything that has happened, but Lucas has other plans. He quickly scoops me up into his arms and carries me into the adjoining bathroom.

Gently setting me on the floor, he reaches down and turns the faucet. “Why don’t you take a bath and relax for a few minutes?”

I wrap my arms around his neck before he can get away. “The
re’s enough room in there for both of us.”

“If I get in there with you, there won’t be very much relaxing going on.”

I smile before leaning down to shut off the water, causing my tunic to raise slightly. “Promises, promises.”

  Chapter 7

  Lucas

I can barely control my breathing as I grip Misty’s waist, pulling her against my cock. There were no expectations coming here today, but now that I have her, I have no intention of letting her go. I know we just met, but I was being honest when I told her I wanted to spend the rest of my life with her. I don’t want to scare her by using those three special words, but I plan to show her how I feel.

I spin her around quickly before capturing her lips. Misty gasps in surprise, and I sweep my tongue inside her mouth. She tastes like a warm sugar cookie, and I can’t get enough of her. If I could keep her in my bed and full of my cum forever, I would die a happy man.

“I guess you’re eager to have another dose of Vitamin D.” I break our kiss, reaching down and pulling her last piece of clothing over her head.

Misty reaches into my boxers and grips my cock, pumping her hand up and down.

“I don’t really know what I’m doing, but I can’t stop thinking about your cock in my mouth,” she whispers as she pulls my ear into her mouth and nibbles gently on it.

I wrap my hand around hers and groan, increasing her grip on me.

As I fight to maintain my control, she drops to her knees and reaches for my boxers. Her eyes light up with mischief as she inches my boxers down my thighs. Unable to resist the image of her lips wrapped around my cock, I make quick work of pulling them down and discarding them on the floor.

Misty slides my cock into her mouth, gagging slightly as it hits the back of her throat. I place my hand on the back of her head as I slowly fuck her mouth. I squeeze my eyes shut, praying to hold off for a little longer.
