by Summer Rose
I made a pot of coffee and turned on the shower. I told Tina to make herself at home and to make me a cup of coffee once it finished brewing. She never responded, and I thought that maybe she had passed out. I went to the bathroom and slipped out of my clothes. As I pulled the shower curtain open, I screamed.
Tina was in the shower. I had no idea how she made it up the stairs to the bathroom.
“You scared the hell out of me!” I shrieked.
“I’m sorry. I thought you heard me say I was getting in too,” she claimed.
“No, I didn’t. I-I thought you had passed out or something”, I stammered.
“Well, are you going to join me or what?” She stepped back so I could get in.
Chapter 8
Education of Graduation
My time to graduate was coming soon. I didn’t know how I had managed working in the club and going to school for the last few months. The time had gone by so fast and I still had preparations to make for testing once I completed my course. I needed to take my pre-test exam and study for my State exams. I had been so caught up with Tina and working that I had completely forgotten that I would be finished in four months. Now it was down to my final month and I was in a daze. I hauled ass to school, running late - again.
I rushed to get a cup of coffee and headed to class.
Leah ran down the hall screaming, “Wait up girl!”
“Hey, ma?” I said, smiling at her.
“How’ve you been stranger? What’s up with you? It’s like we don’t see each other or hang out anymore for lunch.” She frowned.
“I know. I’ve just been busy trying to get things ready for my graduation.” I lied.
I couldn’t tell Leah the truth that I have been busy with Tina, and had been having lunch with her almost every day.
Every since the night Tina and I went to Club Fantasy things weren’t the same. We became different friends in a matter of hours. We could no longer fight the temptation. We wanted each other and had for a long time. After that night, there was no turning back. It wasn’t a planned thing, but we both had the same feelings about each other. When she invited me to get in the shower with her that night, it was magical!
I was drunk, but instantly sobered up once I got in the shower. I wanted to be fully aware of what was going on.
I didn’t say anything when I got in. I didn’t have to. Tina started rubbing soap on my body as if that was something we did on a regular basis. She bathed me thoroughly and kissed me on my shoulder before kissing me softly on the lips. We wanted each other and not just for sex.
I thought about my thoughts of her being a passionate lover. She was everything I had thought she’d be, but never thought we would be here in a relationship.
We started living together about a week after our affair. She didn’t hesitate to move in, and I wanted her to. She gave up her apartment before her lease was even up. She didn’t care. She could make up the money in the club the next day.
I had a three-bedroom house and plenty of floor space for the both of us. Things were working out perfectly between us. We lived just like a married couple.
We worked three to five days a week at the club, cooked dinner, and did all the things a married couple would do and more.
I went to school full time and still found time to hang out with my friends and have time to myself. Life was good and I thought it would only get better.
“Are you psyched up about graduating?” Leah asked, blowing a bubble with her gum.
“I guess so. I want to have a little get-together or something and celebrate in style.”
“I’ll be there!” she invited herself. “Can I bring my man?”
“Umm, whatever.”
I didn’t know what to say. I hadn’t had anyone around since Tina and I got together. Not anyone straight anyway.
“Let me know all the details once you plan everything.”
I hesitated, but agreed. “Okay, I will.”
“What do you want for your graduation gift?”
“Surprise me,” I said batting my eyelashes. “A lady loves surprises.”
“Okay sweetie, I will get you something nice. You’ll like it,” she promised and started to walk away.
“I’m sure I will.” I said smiling.
It’ll probably be a dildo or something like that knowing Leah.
She stopped and turned to face me.
“Have you gotten laid recently or something?”
“What?” I was shocked, yet blushing. “Why would you ask me that?”
“Girl, you must have, because you’ve been so happy go lucky and spaced out! I know the signs of sex! Good sex, too! Who is he? Do I know him?”
“No, I don’t think so,” I assured her. “It’s nobody. I have to get to class and so do you.”
“Ok, I’ll leave, but I know you got some.” She spun around to do ‘the butt’ dance.
“Nina got some boooty!”
“You are sick!” I yelled.
However, she was right. She had the wrong gender, but she was right.
I got to work and took a sigh of relief that I made it on time. I didn’t have time to be fined for being late. My phone rang just as I stepped into the dressing room. It was in my bag and I didn’t even bother answering it. I figured it was one of the girls either seeing if I was at work or going to work.
I will call whoever it is later
I was running late and tired. I hadn’t slept that much since Tina moved in.
What the hell?
My phone was blowing up.
It had better be something important! I grabbed my phone. It was Tina. “Hey baby.”
“Where are you?” she sounded upset.
“I’m at work. Why?”
I was concerned that she wasn’t there.
“Your girl decided to confront me!” she shouted. “Who?”
“Cookie!” she screamed.
I was confused. “Cookie?”
I hadn’t seen her since the night she came by Panties with roses. I never told her she was forgiven or anything.
I just let it go because I was not interested in her. I was spending time with Tina and didn’t care if I saw Cookie or not. Preferably not.
“Baby, please calm down. I don’t know what’s going on but…”
“You need to get over here now!” she demanded, “because she’s saying some things that don’t add up and we need to get this shit straight!”
“Tina, I’m at work, I can’t just leave.”
She was quiet for a minute. “Have you put your name on the list yet?”
“No, but…”
“Well then you can leave. Come over here, now!”
Damn!
“Where are you?” I snapped.
“I came over to Bottoms to meet up with Pretty. I told you she would be starting at Panties and she wanted to come with me tonight.”
“Okay I’m on my way.”
I hung up the phone and put my head down on the table. I had to get my thoughts together before I went to meet Tina. I wondered what Cookie could have said to her and why she would do that.
Damn, I don’t need this shit before work!
I grabbed my stuff and headed for the door. “Why are you leaving Lush? Toni, a night dancer asked. It’s going to be a good night, baby.”
“I don’t think so, not for me.” I responded. “I’ll see you guys tomorrow.”
I made it to Bottoms in about ten minutes doing 80 mph.
I parked my car in front of the club and ran inside.
When I got to the dressing room, Cookie looked up and smiled. “What’s up Luscious?”
“Don’t what’s up me!” I snapped. “Where’s Tina?”
“Who?” she asked confused. “Passion!”
“Oh, she’s in the restroom,” she said smiling. “She’ll be back.”
“What the hell is going on? What did you say to her?”
“I just told her that...”
“She told me
that if it weren’t for me that you two would be together!”
Tina walked back in and stood next to me.
“No, that’s not true.” I assured Tina. “Cookie, why did you say that to her and why are you getting shit started?”
Cookie stood up, turned around, and pointed at Tina.
“If she would’ve backed off, you and I would be together now! Don’t try to deny it Luscious!”
“Deny what?” I snapped. “I never told you I wanted to be with you. What are you talking about?”
“Your body told me you wanted me!” she licked her fingers and smiled at Tina.
Tina jumped at Cookie. “This bitch is asking for it!”
I grabbed Tina before she could hit Cookie.
“Calm down baby.”
“Neither me nor my body told you anything! You know what happened, Cookie, and now you’re trying to hurt my girl. Why in the hell should I forgive you?”
“Forgive her!” Tina shouted. “Forgive her for what?”
“I told you when she came to Panties that night with the roses, she apologized. She asked me to forgive her for what happened at that bachelor party.”
“Yea, but you never called me back! You just acted like I didn’t exist and kicked me to the curb!” Cookie wailed. “I have feelings for you and you act like I’m not shit!”
“Cookie, that’s not a reason to get some shit started between Passion and me.”
“I’m sorry Nina, I’m sorry to you too, Passion. Please forgive me,” she pleaded.
“Whatever!” Passion yelled. “You just stay the hell out of my face!”
I didn’t say anything to Cookie; I just stared at her for a minute and walked off. I couldn’t believe she did this dumb shit. I was pissed off that I took off work for it.
I didn’t know women behaved like this with other women.
I kind of understood what guys went through when women tripped the hell out. I was new at this, so it was a shock to the system for me.
All of this was a shock in a way, because dating a woman was new for me.
I never thought I would be a lesbian; it wasn’t something I had planned or anything. I don’t think anyone sits down and plans this sort of thing. I never even thought I could have an attraction for another female, but I did and the outcome of it all was a lot of drama.
Lesson #4
Be careful not to involve business with pleasure.
I was happy with Tina. I knew she felt the same, but we couldn’t share our feelings with everyone like we wanted to.
We wanted to shout it to the world and tell all of our friends and family, but most people didn’t accept homosexuality. Therefore, we had to keep it hush and be careful of our actions in public.
I caught up with Tina to find out if she were okay and to let her know I was going back to work. After all this shit, I wanted to dominate some poor guy and take all his money.
When I found her, she was sitting at the table with Pretty.
“Hey ma.” Pretty hugged me and offered me a seat next to Tina.
“Are you alright, sweetie?” I kissed her hand repeatedly. I felt like I was guilty of something.
The crazy part of it was that I kind of liked the thought of two women fighting over me. I had to admit to myself that I did still find Cookie attractive. I still had an attraction to her for several reasons. I just didn’t like the way things went down at the party.
She was a good lover and she did things to me that Tina didn’t do or know how to do. However, I loved Tina and didn’t want to mess it up for Cookie.
“I’m okay, are you leaving?”
“Yeah baby. I’m going to make some money after this drama. Are you going to work or home?”
“I’m going home; I’m too irritated to work,” she moaned.
“Is there anything you need me to do?” I was hoping she said ‘no’.
“Yes, Nina. I need to know the truth. Is there anything else I should know about you and Cookie?” she looked at me, then Pretty.
“Uh, maybe I should leave you two alone to talk.” Pretty got up to leave, but Tina asked her to stay.
“Pretty and I were just talking. We agree that it seems like there’s something more between you and Cookie for her to start something with me.
Pretty looked down and didn’t say a word. She knew I was about to snap if she did. She was sweet, but I couldn’t tell if she was for me or against me.
“Pretty, you’re the one that warned me about her.” I pointed out. “Why would you think there’s anything more between us?”
I was hurt that she was in Tina’s ear.
She shook her head, “I just don’t understand why you went with her after I warned you.”
“I didn’t know things would go down like that. You were never specific about your warning.” I snapped.
“If you would have said, ‘don’t do a party with her’ I never would have.”
I wasn’t blaming Pretty for what happened. I was pissed that she would tell Tina that she thought more was going on just because I went with Cookie despite her warnings. That she was never clear about in the first place.
“Look, I’ve told you the truth. If you don’t believe it, then I’m sorry. Do whatcha gotta do,” I told Tina.
I started to walk away. I was getting pissed off all over again that I was called away from work for this non-sense.
“Wait!” Tina called. “I believe you, baby.”
“Me too, baby”, Pretty laughed as she put her arms around us.
I was glad we could all laugh about things and move on.
Just then, the waitress came over with drinks and told us that the tab had been paid. She didn’t say from whom, though I had a feeling I knew who the drinks were from, but I didn’t say anything.
Tina held up her glass to propose a toast.
“To my baby, and my friend, let’s go to Panties and make this damn money! Fuck that dumb shit with that broad!”
“Here, here.” I looked over at the bar. Cookie was standing there with a drink in her hand. She raised her glass and winked at me.
“Thank you,” I mouthed and finished my drink. I knew she had sent the drinks over. I didn’t tell Tina or Pretty. I didn’t want to ignite that fire. I was just happy that the drama was over.
Chapter 9
Too Many Women
While on my way home from work, my phone rang.
Damn, I hope it’s not anymore stupid shit with Cookie’s ass.
I went back to work after I left Bottoms, but didn’t stay until closing as I normally would.
Passion and Pretty worked too, so that made the night go by faster. Pretty auditioned, and was hired on the spot. Pretty was gorgeous, so I knew she would get hired. The men loved her too. Hell, they loved us all especially when we did our threesome act on stage.
Three beautiful women making out was a dream to men. The women that came in the club to watch really enjoyed the show, too.
I must admit. When we did the act together, I wasn’t acting. I enjoyed being with Passion and
Pretty. I had a feeling that Pretty enjoyed it a little too much too.
I answered after the third ring, “Hello?”
“Hola, mami!” a familiar voice sang.
It was Sundae. She was at work and wanted to know what I was doing.
“I just left work. I’m on my way home.” I moaned. I told her about the bullshit that went down with Cookie and how it messed up my hustle mode. I did okay, but could’ve done a whole lot better. Being with women was starting to take its toll on me.
“That bitch is a trip, girl.” Sundae laughed.
Although you have to admit, she has great taste. “Luscious, you are a beautiful woman. You can’t blame her for wanting you.”
That really didn’t help, but I appreciated the compliment. “Thank you. When are you getting off?”
“I’m working until closing,” she sighed. “Come up here and hang out with me.”
“I could use a d
rink, but I need to get home and wait for Tina. She was still a little bothered about Cookie’s drama.”
“Can’t you just come for a minute or so, please?” She whined.
It was hard for me to say no to such an offer. Sundae was an attractive woman and I loved the way she asked for what she wanted.
If I went to the club to see her, Tina would think something was up because of the night we met her. Sundae was on me, hard. I wanted her too, but didn’t pursue it. Tina and I weren’t even together then, but I liked her too.
I decided to go to the club. After all, I wasn’t married.
“Okay, I’ll be there in fifteen minutes.” “Ok baby. See you then. Bye.”
Sundae sounded so sweet and like so much fun. Even though it was my second time seeing her, I was excited.
She was a lot of fun that night and after the drama I encountered with Cookie and Tina earlier, I needed some tenderness.
I turned up my music and listened to Jodeci’s “Freak Me Baby.” As I drove to the club, I thought of how my life had changed. I went from being single, without a care in the world, to dating a woman. I had to check in with what I did, who I did it with, and when I decided to do it.
I had to explain things I did in my past, which didn’t have a damn thing to do with my present or future.
What am I doing? Was I complaining? I was happy with Tina, but things were getting too serious and complicated. I was beginning to question if I made the right decision of letting her move in.
I made it to Club Fantasy and turned my phone off. I walked in the club and was immediately greeted by one of the girls.
“Hey sweetie, I see you’re back” she smiled. “Yea, how are you?”
I didn’t even know who she was, but she was cute so it really didn’t matter.
“I’m Delicious, aren’t you Luscious?” “I bet you are, and yes I am.” I said.
I was looking at her like a meal I wanted to devour.
“Whoa! Am I interrupting?” Sundae asked with raised eyebrows and a smirk on her face.
“Hey baby, no you’re not interrupting.” I hugged her and asked her to get me a drink.
