Cassidy's Resurgence (Satan's Anarchy, #3) Page 3

by Erin Osborne

Before leaving the clubhouse, I send a message to the Prospects letting them know I’ll be taking care of Cassidy’s lunch today. I head to Corrinth’s to grab some burgers, fries, and shakes. Yes, I know it’s going to be hard to get them to Anarchy Ink on my bike, but I’ll figure it out. We’ll have the lunch I know Cassidy loves more than anything.

Corrinth talks to me about the club while I wait for our food. She wants to do something for the town. To let them know we’re still willing to help them out and raise money for repairs that are needed around town that she’s been hearing about from various customers. I’m not sure if we should do a poker run or something else in town to get everyone involved in it.

“Corrinth, I’ll talk to Renegade and see what we can come up with. We’ll make sure we raise enough money to help as many people as possible. You said there are a few families that need help along with a couple of businesses?” I ask, as my lunch gets set on the counter in front of me.

“Yeah. One of the homes needs a new roof. There’s holes and it’s leaking every time it rains. The father of the family is tryin’ to work two jobs just to keep a roof over their heads. The mother is sick and can’t work any longer,” she tells me.

“Okay. I’ll get right on it. Once I go back to the clubhouse after lunch, I’ll talk to Renegade,” I tell Corrinth before giving her a kiss on the cheek.

I hurry up and make my way to the tattoo shop with our lunches in my saddlebags. Cassidy should be hungry by now and I don’t want her to wait to eat. She’s been known to skip meals if she gets busy doing something or her mind wanders and she doesn’t realize what time it is.

Pulling into the back parking lot, I shut my bike down and grab the food and shakes. I managed to make it from the diner to the shop without spilling a single drop of the milkshakes. Bentley is standing at the back door, making sure no one goes in or out that doesn’t belong. Nodding my head to him, I walk inside and see Cassidy helping a customer at the desk.

He’s leaning over her and I can tell she’s uncomfortable. From my vantage point, I’d say he’s trying to intimidate her. Yeah, that’s not going to work for me. So, I walk up to the counter and place the food carriers and cups next to her before leaning over to kiss her on the cheek. The man at the counter immediately backs off and finishes paying off his bill before leaving the shop.

“How you doin’, Cass?” I ask.

“I’m okay.,” she says. “How are you doing by the way?”

“I’m okay. Been workin’ all mornin’. I figured we could just eat here at the shop today. Chains has some business to take care of, so it’s just gonna be me and you. You okay with that?” I ask her, pulling up another chair and crowding her in.

  “Yeah,” she answers, blushing.

I hand over the Styrofoam container holding her cheeseburger and fries. Cassidy opens the lid and a smile brightens her face when she sees what I’ve brought her. When I hand over the milkshake, Cassidy moves closer to me for a split second before she remembers we don’t touch like that. I’ll take it, though. It’s a start in the right direction and I’ll take it.

We eat in silence at Cassidy’s desk. There’s a break room in the back she never uses. She’d rather be where the customers can see her as soon as they walk through the doors. Even if Ink’s told her a million times she doesn’t have to be here for her lunch break.

When we’re done eating, I throw our trash away. I walk back over to Cassidy and grab her hand to pull her up against me.

“Walk me out to my bike?” I ask, wanting her to myself for a minute.

  “I . . .” she starts to say.

“You can leave the counter for a minute. Come on,” I tell her.

Cassidy follows me out, looking back at the counter every few steps. She’s too cute. I keep my body facing hers as I wait to see what she’s going to do. If she leans into me at all, I’m going to kiss her. There’s no stopping it this time.

When it doesn’t look like she’s going to make a move, I let out the breath I was holding and pull her into my body. Hugging her, I take a deep breath of the slight smell of perfume and something unique to Cassidy. I need to let her go or I’m not going to. I’ll take her home and have my way with her. It’s not time for that, though.

“I’ll see you later, Cass,” I tell her.

Cass nods her head and I watch as she walks back into Anarchy Ink. She looks back just before the back-door closes and I’m too far away to be able to see what the look flashing in her eyes is. We’ll definitely be talking about this later on, though. She needs to start opening up to us.

  Chapter Three

  Chains

CASSIDY HAS BEEN working on her self-defense moves for a while now. She picks up the moves like a duck takes to water. I’ve already had to lookup more moves to teach her. So far, there have been eight moves our girl has mastered. I’ve made these moves part of her warm-up routine.

The bear hug attack is one that she hates because someone grabs her from behind, but she still kicks ass at it. It would seem the groin kick is a favorite of hers, if her giggling every time she does it means anything. I try to tell her that she needs to focus and not laugh in case she needs this in real life. I know if she ever uses it, she’ll have to stop and giggle before she can run away.

Today, I’m going to teach her how to get away from someone who has used zip ties on her. She keeps telling me she has to learn how to S.I.N.G. It’s some move she saw on a movie about an FBI agent becoming a beauty queen or some shit. I shake my head at her giggles but secretly, it makes me happy because she’s getting more comfortable with Hawk or I touching her.

She gets this look of determination on her face while she is learning them that’s so fucking adorable. It makes it hard to keep my hands off her as more than a teacher, but this is showing her she can protect herself if she needs to. Let’s face it, no matter how hard we try, history has proven we can’t always be there.

It also makes her get used to us touching her any time we want without causing her pain. She used to flinch any time a male got close to her. Now, most of the brothers don’t startle her just by talking to her. Ink can walk up and give her a hug without her freaking out.

When Hawk or I see him touch her, it makes us growl, which gives her a case of the giggles. We’ll gladly suffer through seeing one of our brothers touch her if it means she’s laughing and happy. There’s no better sound in the world than Cassidy laughing or giggling.

Hawk walks into the basement where Cass is already warmed up. His eyes roam over her body, taking in every sweet curve. The sweat glistening on her skin makes her look even more beautiful, and I’m sure he can’t wait to see her body sweating from the many orgasms we want to give her. I see he has a full bag of zip ties for her to practice with as well as a pair of scissors in case she panics and we need to get them off quickly. Cass is getting better about not panicking when trying new moves.

At first, she would get so upset when she panicked that it would take an hour or two to calm her down. She would worry that Hawk or I would be upset over her having a panic attack. It makes me wanna go find Craig and beat the fuck out of him every time it happens. Thankfully, it’s been happening less and less. But one of these times, I’ll end up losing my cool and go put the asshole who hurt her in the ground.

Cassidy finally notices Hawk and a shy smile covers her face. She blushes as she notices both of us eyeing her. Hawk walks up to her and pulls her into his arms for a hug which she quickly returns.

As she pulls out of his embrace, I walk up and pull her into my own quick hug. She sighs as she hugs me back. Looking down at her, I give a wink and a smile before telling both Hawk and her it’s time to get started. She takes a deep breath, letting me know without words that she is a little bit worried about this lesson.

“Cass, it’ll be okay,” I tell her. “We’re goin’ to go slow. Hawk will be in the ties first so you can see all the moves. Hell, we can keep him in the zip ties if you want.”

&
nbsp; This causes her to giggle which is my intention.

“Why the fuck am I the one who always gets hit or thrown?” Hawk sighs dramatically. He is such a clown sometimes, but it makes our girl settle down a bit so I just roll my eyes and get started. “You’re both so mean to little ol’ me.”

Cass is laughing so hard she has tears rolling down her face. Her beauty takes my breath away. It also gives me the distraction I need to slip the zip ties on Hawk before he sees it coming. Now, he can play his poor baby act. Hawk looks up from his play pout when he feels the zip ties tighten on his wrists. His look of shock makes Cass fall to the ground laughing. It takes several minutes before she can get herself under control.

When she’s ready to watch Hawk escape the ties, he shows her how fast it’s possible to escape them. Her eyes are wide as she watches his powerful display. Stepping back to him, I put another set of zip ties on so he can show her step-by-step how to bust the cuffs.

“Okay, Cass, you wanna watch again or do you wanna try it?” I ask her, knowing she’ll want to try. “There are three ways to escape the ties. We’ll work on one at a time until you feel like you’re comfortable.”

“I wanna try,” Cassidy says with determination in her voice. “Just go slow and stay close, please?”

“Anythin’ you need, babe,” Hawk tells her with a smile. “We’ll get this mastered, and then we’ll hold Chains down and zip tie him!”

“You’re welcome to try,” I say with a smirk on my face. “I’m the teacher, you’re the students, grasshopper.”

I slip the zip ties on Cassidy’s wrists and then stay right in front of her until she gets her breathing calmed down. Once she nods her head, I step back a bit and begin to explain the steps while Hawk shows her how it’s done again.

“Okay, step one,” I begin, telling her in a calm voice so she’s not spooked. “Never panic. That’s what gives the enemy time to do whatever he wants. Use your teeth to tighten the ties as much as you can. Try to get the lock between your hands. It’s much easier to break the ties the tighter they are. Raise your hands above your head and as fast as you can, bring them down to your stomach while makin’ your elbows go out like you’re a chicken tryin’ to fly. The ties should break, but it could take a few tries to get it done.”

I watch with a huge smile on my face as they both do as I instructed. This time, it takes Hawk three tries to get them to bust apart, but the greatest thing is that Cass gets it done on her first attempt. The look of joy and surprise on her face is more than I can take. Without even thinking, I let out a whoop and reach for her.

Lowering my head, I give her a soft kiss on the lips. When I pull back to make sure she’s not scared or mad, I’m faced with a soft look of contentment. Going slowly, so she has time to object, I kiss her again. My tongue traces her lips, tasting the sweetness of her lip gloss. Making note to tell Hawk we need stock in the company that makes that stuff, I feel her lips open for me.

Being the brilliant man that I am, I deepen the kiss, her moans urging me on. Trying not to overwhelm her, I force myself to slowly pull back. Her face is softened with desire, and she moans her regret the kiss is over. I wait to see what happens when she realizes Hawk is just standing there watching us. Not sure exactly how she’ll react, I find myself holding my breath. When she looks up and sees she has both our attention, she smiles even bigger.

“That looked so hot, baby girl,” Hawk tells her with heat in his eyes. “I can’t wait to get my taste of your sexy lips.”

“Please, do what Chains did and just kiss me whenever you feel it’s right,” Cass says with a shy smile. “If I know it’s gonna happen then I’ll worry about it. I want to kiss you too, Hawk. Chains, thank you for teaching me how to do this. Can we try it again?”

“Yes, baby girl,” I tell her. “We can practice until we run out of ties and then go get some more. We want you to feel confident in your abilities.”

“I liked the kiss,” she whispers while walking over to pick up more ties.

My heart stops for a moment and my chest swells with pride as I tell her I liked it too and can’t wait to do it again. This girl is ours and it seems she’s starting to come around to the idea.

We practice about five more times, only calling it quits when I notice her wrists are starting to bruise. I feel guilty I let her go this long. But, the look of pride on her face is well worth bruised wrists, especially if it saves her life.

  Chapter Four

  Cassidy

I’M SO CONFUSED by the attraction I feel for both Hawk and Chains. I’ve never been the girl that likes more than one man at a time. The only man I’ve ever been with is Craig— and we all know that didn’t end well.

There’s one person I can call to find out how to handle this growing attraction; my cousin Darcy. She’s with Crash and Trojan from the Wild Kings MC in Dander Falls. I can talk to her and find out what to do about my feelings. Especially after all the bullshit I went through with Craig. Hell, maybe she can talk to me about how to handle the situation with my parents.

It hurts as much today as it did four years ago, knowing my parents won’t have anything to do with me because of Craig’s lies and bullshit. But, I never thought my parents would truly believe I was a drug addict and a sex addict. I’m not sure exactly what all Craig told them, but it was enough to ensure they wouldn’t ever have anything to do with me again.

This shit needs to end. I’m over Craig still controlling my life and making me second-guess every single decision I make. So, I pick up my phone and call the one person who’s always had my back. My cousin Darcy. She’ll know what to do in both situations.

Darcy is my favorite person in the world. She’s clumsy as hell, and always finds herself in some interesting situations. I can’t tell you how many times she’s found herself face down in Wood’s lap. Wood is another member of the Wild Kings MC her men belong to. That poor man has almost died on more than one occasion because of my cousin. And these things just happen to her.

“Hello?” Darcy asks, answering the phone.

“Hey Darcy. I need to talk to you,” I tell her.

“What’s going on? Are you okay?” she asks, immediately on alert.

“I’m okay. Now. I want to talk to you about a few things though. Can we talk now?” I ask her, sitting down on my bed.

“Why don’t we get together for lunch? It’s been way too long since I’ve seen you,” she says.

“I’d love that. I just have to make sure one of the guys can bring me there. When do you want to meet?” I ask my cousin.

“Why not today? I don’t have much going on and I’m sure Crash won’t mind following me there. He wants to get out of the house.”

“Okay. I’ll get a hold of Hawk or Chains and see if they can follow me. Let me know when and where,” I say before hanging up.

Hawk is here somewhere. So, I go in search of him. I hope he’s not still sleeping because the guys have been out around the clock. They go in separate shifts and I’m not sure if this is about Craig or something else. I get they won’t tell me and I’m fine with that. Hell, I don’t want to know what they get up to if I’m not involved in it.

I knock on Hawk’s bedroom door and wait to see if he’ll answer. I’m not prepared when he flings the door open and is standing in front of me with nothing more than a pair of boxers covering his body. They’re not doing anything to hide the hard-on he’s got right now.

“Oh, um, I’m sorry to bother you, Hawk,” I say, feeling the blush cover my face.

“You’re not botherin’ me, Cass. Did you need somethin’?” he asks, completely ignoring the problem he seems to have right now.

“Yeah. My cousin wants to meet for lunch today and I was wonderin’ if someone could follow me there? Her man will be there too because he’s also in an MC,” I tell him.

I’m trying not to get distracted by his naked chest and the small trail of hair I see leading down underneath his boxers. He’s one of the hottest men I’ve ev
er seen, along with Chains, and it can be overwhelming sometimes. Especially knowing there’s some sort of connection or attraction between us.

“Who’s your cousin? What MC is her man in?” he asks, getting suspicious.

“My cousin’s name is Darcy. Her men belong to the Wild Kings MC,” I tell him, knowing Slim’s club knows their club very well.

“Oh. Yeah, I can take you. What time?” he asks, trying to stifle a yawn.

“She’s going to let me know in a little bit.”

“Okay. If I’m sleepin’ just wake me up,” he says before I turn and leave him to get back to sleep.

Hawk and I are on our way to meet Darcy. She decided to come here and meet up at Corrinth’s diner. Corrinth is Renegade and Psycho’s mom. I’ve been to the diner once or twice, but I love the food and I know the guys always go there. We pull in and I immediately spot my cousin standing with her man. They’re embracing and I turn away to give them a minute before I get out of my car and let her know I’m here.

“Cassidy, I’m so happy to see you,” she says, once she pulls away from the man in front of her.

I’m not sure what his name is, but he’s huge. This man stands over six-foot-tall and is built like a tank. The one thing sticking out to me is the love and adoration I see shining from his eyes when he looks at my cousin. It’s like she’s the center of his entire universe. That’s the way I want Hawk and Chains to look at me.

“Cassidy, this is Crash. Crash, this is my cousin Cassidy,” she says.

“Nice to meet you Crash. Hawk, this is my cousin Darcy and I guess Crash.”

“Thanks for lettin’ us meet here,” Crash says, holding out his hand to Hawk.

I’m not sure what that’s about, but it’s got to be a biker thing. Maybe because Satan’s Anarchy is in Shadowville and he’s here visiting. I’m not sure. But I’m not about to ask. Crash kind of intimidates me.
