Her body must have sagged, for Tom got real close to her ear. “You’re not ready.”

Before she had a chance to respond about having sex in her rear end, he moved his big cock downward, seating himself all the way to the end of her pussy. Snake was never this big, nor was Ed or Harold. Good Lord, the man was hung well. Instead of Tom thrusting in her as she expected, he remained still and wrapped his hands over her tits.

“I love these.” He pressed the tips between his thumb and forefinger and squeezed. The pressure built, but so did the heat.

Justin moved into her sight and her eyes widened at his enormous cock, which she swore had grown twenty percent in a matter of seconds. He grabbed his cock and dangled it within an inch of her mouth. “Open up for me, honey.”

Now she understood why Tom wanted her in this position. Her dream was coming true. How many nights had she thought of taking Justin in her mouth and treating him to her form of love? Since his cock sat too low to reach, she adjusted by leaning forward on her hands, eye level to his purpling dick. “Oh, my.”

That movement allowed Tom to move down her wet channel more than she believed possible. She contracted her walls to hold him tight.

  “You’re killing me, darlin’.”

Good. His hands slid down to her hips, and he guided her back and forth, creating delicious friction against her walls. Now it was he who was killing her.

Wild waves of excitement caused her juices to flow even more. Just when she thought it couldn’t get better, Justin took over rubbing her tits and exciting the hardened crests. She opened her mouth and swallowed his tip. His breath caught. She wished she could have used her hands to knead his flesh, but she had to hold herself up somehow.

Tom would pump fast, and just when the fire lit up her body, he’d stop until she climbed off her plateau of ecstasy. Why was he tormenting her?

“I need to come.” She tried not to whine.

  “Not yet.”

  No? “Why?”

“Darlin’, we want you to hold on, to really want us.” Tom increased his speed, thank God.

She did want them, but at the moment Justin’s cock was in her mouth, preventing her from responding. Justin’s hands left her tits. He dragged them over her back until he spread open her butt cheeks and ran a thumb over her widened hole. Her puckered ring tightened, and she clamped her butt together.

“Relax.” Tom pressed his cheek to her back as he continued to massage her rear and pump into her.

The two men finally seemed to get on the same rhythm page. Truly a great moment in her life, and one she would never forget.

Both increased their speed and sparks of desire ignited every nerve. Waves of passion drenched her, taking her higher until her orgasm claimed her.

  “Mmmm.”

She swore Tom’s hot cum shot up her pussy just as Justin released his load in her mouth. She swallowed every drop then licked him as clean as she could. White pearls kept oozing out of the slit, and she repeated her lapping motion.

Justin grabbed her head and pressed his fingers into her scalp. “What you do to me.”

Tom’s head fell on her back, and he held her tight as if he never wanted to let her go. Justin finally withdrew. A few remaining drops glistened on the head, but she knew more would come if she tried to suck him dry.

Justin got off the bed and returned a moment later with a wet towel. “I’ll let you do the honors, buddy.”

Tom pulled out and rolled her over. His wet cock was only slightly deflated. “Darlin’, that was more amazing than I ever could imagine.” He ripped off the condom and tossed it in the wastebasket next to the bed.

She took the towel from him, and wrapping the cloth around his cock, pulled upward, wiping him clean. She swore he got harder from her touch. Next, she dragged the other end over her pussy that was now sore, but in a good way.

She’d been about to clean Justin when someone’s cell on the dresser rang. Both men looked in the direction of the noise, but Justin answered it.

“Sheriff Bradford.” Disappointment flashed across his face more than concern. “Thanks. We’ll be right there.”

He replaced the cell on the dresser. “Get dressed, folks. It’s showtime.”

  Chapter Seven

Once they dressed and Justin tossed their dirty dishes in the sink, they headed back to town.

“So what happened?” They’d rushed her out so fast, she hadn’t had time to ask. Maybe someone had captured Snake.

“That was Detective Chris Mancy from the Bozeman PD on the phone. He called about the Tony Deluza trial. Seems Destiny Jones will be arriving in town to testify against Deluza, and the detective asked if we could provide the protection since she’s from here.”

Lydia had heard of that name. “Wasn’t he the guy who killed his bookie?”

“I’m afraid so. Destiny was at the wrong place at the wrong time and witnessed the whole thing. Deluza saw her and tried to shut her up.”

“I can’t imagine the terror. It’s bad enough that Snake hates me. If I’d seen him kill someone, I’m sure he’d find me, bodyguards or not.”

Tom reached from the backseat and placed a hand on her shoulder. “Don’t worry. You’re safe with us.”

“I might be, but poor Destiny, what she’s gone through.”

Justin turned onto the main road leading into town. “Once she testifies, she’ll be safe. That scumbag will be found guilty, and Destiny can come back home.”

“Is Tom going to be her bodyguard until the trial’s over?” She prayed not. Destiny was cute, young, and single.

  “Yes.”

Damn. His job would be to protect Destiny, a deserving woman, but Lydia didn’t like that he’d have to be by the woman’s side day after day. She hadn’t seen the woman in over a year and a half. If she remembered right, she used to teach first grade. “How long will you be gone?” She didn’t want to whine. Tom didn’t belong to her.

“Won’t know until I get there.”

Yes, they’d had amazing sex, but she knew from experience that sex alone did not keep a man around for long. She thought they had a connection, but now she wondered if it had been wishful thinking.

Back at the station, Tom gathered a few files and left, giving her a brief kiss. It was almost as if he’d dismissed her and was moving on to sexy Destiny. The euphoria she’d experienced an hour before was gone. Depression edged its way under her skin.

Justin said he, too, needed to do his rounds.

She didn’t want to be left out. “I’m going to see if Luke can use me at work. With Ed and Harold out of the way, I think I’ll be safe.”

“Promise me if either of your bosses are gone, you’ll come right back.”

  That made sense. “Sure.”

While she wasn’t really in the mood to be perky and serve customers, it was a lot better than sitting on a bed in a room where she’d held Tom. After donning her uniform, she went next door to work.

One of her bosses was behind the bar. “Are you sure you’re okay?”

“I’m fine. Harold and Ed are locked up and no one’s seen Snake. Besides, I need the money.”

For the next two hours, she kept busy chatting with the customers and giving them the best service she knew how. Her heart wasn’t into it today, but she thought she did a good job disguising her malaise.

A really loud motorcycle sounded outside. She looked up to see Jake Stafford, stud extraordinaire. He’d hooked up with actor Steven Seagal, who lived on a large ranch nearby, and had gone Hollywood. She wondered what the hometown boy was doing back in town.

He strode in, wearing all black, looking like he owned the place. Sex rolled off him in waves. Three of the tables looked up and stared, jaws loose, as if the pope had arrived. Pulease, people. He’s just Jake.

Jake’s arrogance turned her off. She loved real men, with real commitments. Like Justin. Like Tom.

His gaze swept the room and landed on her. He grinned. Yes, she’d dated him before h
e became famous, but that must have been a few years ago. She was the one who ended it. He was too full of himself. Then he’d gotten the movie offer and left town.

Jake pulled up a seat, propped his feet up on the chair next to him, and waved her over. The other server was nowhere to be seen, so she pulled out her pad and came over. “Hi, Jake. How’s it going?”

“Great. Got another gig in LA. The movie will take close to a year to make, so I wanted to come back and see Mom.”

Okay, he did have some redeeming qualities. “What can I get you?”

“Coffee, black.” His gaze went from her face to between her legs and back. “Anything else good?”

He didn’t stand a chance. “We have a new cook that makes a mean chocolate mousse cake.”

  “Give me two slices.”

She got his order and made sure to check on all the other customers before returning to his table with his drink, cake, and check.

He ate the two pieces in no time. After draining the coffee, he stood. “Be good.” Given she was halfway across the room, he had to shout. “You know where I’ll be for a few days.” His smile was his offer.

Not wanting to encourage him, she brought the reverend another cup of tea. Out of the corner of her eye, she spotted a hundred-dollar tip on the table Jake just vacated. Her stomach twisted. She couldn’t take that kind of money, even if Jake made a ton of it. He was standing next to his cycle, putting on his helmet. She picked up the bill and raced outside.

“Jake, I think you made a mistake.” She waved the money and shivered from the cold.

  “Not a mistake. It was a thank-you.”

No, it was payment in advance for services he wanted her to perform. Fat chance of that happening. Before she could tell him to fuck off, he pulled her tight against his chest and kissed her. His warm lips were soft yet demanding. Tom’s and Justin’s faces flashed in her mind, and she pushed the newcomer away. Out of the corner of her eye, Justin’s cruiser passed by. Shit. Shit. Shit.

She refused to look at Jake. “I gotta go.”

  “Look me up.”

She gave a quick glance, smiled, and rushed inside. Positive that Justin had seen her, she debated going next door to explain how he’d caught her in the arms of another man. But if he’d been on the phone or was thinking of something else, he might not have noticed.

  * * * *

Justin slammed on his brakes, stopping the car with a jerk. He wanted to punch out Jake Stafford. Instead, he jumped out of the cruiser and, as calmly as he could, walked up the stairs, forcing down the bile filling his throat. He would not give her the satisfaction of showing how disappointed he was in her.

What the hell had his woman been doing in Jake’s arms? Either she wanted to be there, or Jake had liked what he’d seen and stolen the kiss. It was difficult to think the kiss was completely unwelcome since Lydia had raced outside after him, not the other way around.

“Something wrong, Sheriff?” Connie took off her headphones and spun her chair to face him.

  “No.”

  “Could have fooled me.”

Connie was too perceptive. “Jake Stafford’s in town.”

Her eyes lit up. “Really? Where?”

“He’s just leaving Mountain View.” Or maybe he’d just pulled in, though Justin had seen the man put on his helmet before Lydia rushed out.

A roar of an engine shot past. Her shoulders sagged. “Guess he’s gone.”

“I’m sure he’ll be around for a few days. He’s pretty good about checking on his mom when he comes to town.” That’s all the man better be doing if he wanted his face to remain Hollywood pretty.

He debated heading over next door for a cup of coffee, but he wasn’t sure he could keep the scowl off his face.

Another call came in to the switchboard.

“I’ll send the sheriff over now.”

She turned around. “Mary Murphy is in need of your assistance. Seems her Peeping Tom is back.”

That would be Mort Hanlon. Old guy wanted Mary something bad, but he didn’t have the courage to ask her out. In a way, Justin was happy for the distraction. Lydia would be getting off work soon, and right now he wasn’t fit company.

  * * * *

Lydia stayed later than her usual shift, not wanting to run into Justin just yet. She’d seen his cruiser leave a few minutes after he arrived. What was that about? She could only hope another call had come in that would take him hours to deal with.

Connie left around six, so Lydia busied herself cleaning the tables until about half past. Once she believed the coast was clear, she dashed from the Mountain View to the sheriff’s office. At the top of the stairs sat a wicker basket covered with a linen cloth. She looked around to see if the delivery person was anywhere near. Her first thought was some nice lady had left food for Pleasure’s heartthrobs, but there was no odor coming from the basket. For a split second, she wondered if it might be some kind of trap.

“I won’t know until I look.” She lifted the basket and swore something wiggled inside.

A cold breeze forced her into the empty station. Good. Apparently, Justin had moved Ed to the cells down the hall. He’d told her the prisoner didn’t need to be privy to what went on at the station.

She placed the bundle on Tom’s desk, lifted the cloth, and sucked in a breath. “Oh, my. You are too cute.”

Six adorable baby kittens squirmed in the basket. They looked up at her and meowed. She picked up one furry bundle and cuddled it to her chest. While they were still warm, she wondered if they’d been fed. “Where did you come from?” At least she didn’t expect an answer.

No note was attached to the basket. Hmm. She carried the black cat with the white diamond on his forehead over to the refrigerator, hoping to find some milk. No luck there.

She’d have to get some, as well as some canned food. Putting the kitten back in the basket, she fondled the hundred-dollar bill in her pocket and knew how she’d spend her ill-gotten gain.

Across the street, the small grocery had all that she needed, plus a few catnip toys for the kittens to play with. With her purchases in hand, she stepped outside in time to see Justin return.

Fine. She’d act like she hadn’t seen him drive by while Jake was stealing a kiss from her. If Justin questioned her about why she was in the man’s arms, she’d tell him the truth. She’d already lost hope of Tom ever wanting her after he spent a few days with perfect Destiny, but Justin still might be interested.

When she strode into the station, all hell had broken loose. Oh, my goodness.

The kittens had gotten out of the basket and were all over the room. Justin was standing on a chair, trying to coax a gray kitty from the ledge that rimmed the ceiling. How the cat had gotten up there was anyone’s guess.

He finally grabbed the furry beast. After he placed her in the basket, a beige-and-white cat ducked under Tom’s desk. Justin got on his knees and reached down.

  “Come here, you scoundrel.”

She said nothing since he hadn’t noticed her yet.

“Come here, kitty, kitty.” He must have thought changing his tone would work.

Eventually, he snagged the little darling. The minute he placed the kitten in the basket, another one would disappear. Her giggles must have alerted him that he had company. When he turned around, his pursed lips and furrowed brows made her break into laughter. Was it really funny? Probably not, but seeing him so flustered tickled her.

“Where did these cats come from?” His gaze bounced all over the room.

“I don’t know. I found them on the doorstep.” She set down her purchases.

  “We need to catch them.”

“Okay.” She stood there smiling at the most handsome man in the world.

  “Well, move.”

Oh, boy, he wasn’t good with animals. “If you chase them, they’ll run.”

Calmly, she unpacked her goodies. Placing three bowls on the floor, she poured in some milk. Next she picked up an old newspaper fro
m the trash and scooped out some cat food on the paper. In no time, all six kittens were eating quietly below Tom’s desk.

“Well, I’ll be. You’re a regular cat whisperer.” He cocked a brow. “You do know we can’t keep them here?”

“I know, but it might take some time to find them homes.”

Tension rippled in his shoulders. “Speaking of home, I see Jake came back today, hopefully just for a visit.”

That was a bad segue, but she was glad to get the topic out in the open. “About that kiss. I didn’t give it to him. He took it.”

Justin’s jaw tightened. “Then why did you run outside after him?”

Was he jealous? He had to be if he was practically breathing smoke through his nose. “If you must know, he left me a hundred-dollar tip. I wanted to give it back. That’s when he kissed me.”

“Don’t you think he wanted something in return for the money?”

“Yes, but he isn’t getting it. I even told him so.”

His breaths evened out. “What did you do with the money?”

She waved a hand over the cat food.

He smiled and opened his arms. She jumped into his embrace. He gave the best hug a girl could ever want.

He stepped back and held her at arm’s length. “I have a great idea. I bet Mary Murphy would love a cat, and I can think of another young boy who would take one, too.”

“You’re willing to help me? That would be awesome.” Last time she’d had a litter to find homes for, it had taken her days. She doubted the city of Pleasure would appreciate her keeping six kittens in her small police-station room any more than Justin would want the little creatures getting into stuff.

They gathered the kittens and put them in a tall-sided paper box so they wouldn’t climb out. She repacked the dry food, along with the toys, and headed out. This felt like another adventure with Justin—one of many, she hoped.

Mary seemed overwhelmed at the idea she could pick a kitten. “This is your second trip today, Sheriff, and now you bring me a kitten. Oh, my.” She clasped a hand to her chest. “After Blacky died, I wasn’t sure I wanted another cat.” The old lady picked up Lydia’s favorite kitty. “She’s lovely.”
