What to Read After FSOG: The Gemstone Collection (WTRAFSOG Book 9) Page 142

by Kristine Cayne

She tried the cheat code again, this time only boosting Min Connie’s income by twenty dollars. Perhaps she’d find a misplaced bill in a sweater pocket, she mused with a smile.

The smile quickly turned when that move didn’t yield the needed Go! command, either. Connie slapped the desk.

“Damn it!” Her pussy ached for want of a man’s touch, a Min’s touch. Furiously she rubbed her fingers over the crotch of her shorts and grasped at the Love’s DoMINion CD with her free hand. If it appeared she wouldn’t be getting any cock tonight, there was no reason why Min Connie shouldn’t suffer with her.

The module loaded quickly, and Connie’s eyes grew wide as she scrolled the new windows that exploded onscreen. Love’s DoMINion not only offered more options in terms of finding people to date, but present characters now had the opportunity to supplement their plain Min existences with a varied selection of kinky items and clothing.

The temptation to use the cheat code was too much for Connie, and she increased Min Connie’s bank account by another thousand dollars. Let her win another thousand dollars with the same numbers she played, Connie decided. Then Darla would have to believe that the game was enchanted.

The money in place, Connie soon gifted her pet with a sexy new wardrobe and an addition to her house—a fully-equipped BDSM dungeon. That she was able to make such purchases amazed Connie as she browsed the new inventories the expansion pack offered. She checked the box and noticed the tiny warning label on one corner—sale restricted to minors. Good thing, too.

She arranged the racks of whips and restraints with care, and moved the St. Andrew’s Cross to one corner, nudging it to a prominent position. In the middle of the room she positioned an all-purpose table and rack for personal pleasure. Nice.

Connie sighed, feeling a bit jealous of her counterpart. She had nurtured some interest in domination and submission in the past, but never acted upon her desires to dress in leather and wield a whip, and to be whipped. Aaron, for one, would never concede to being restrained or spanked. Perhaps Min Aaron might be more receptive to his neighbor’s new hobby. If not, tough. Connie was at the controls.

With everything in place, Connie resumed action. She clicked on the fast forward option to allow time in the video game to reach the current hour. Connie laughed until her sides hurt watching all of the Mins speed through their day. Min Aaron and Min Suzy ignored each other at a hundred miles an hour, until the female finally threw up her tiny little hands, packed a bag, and zipped offscreen.

Interesting. Connie raised an eyebrow. What had she set in motion with those two, and was it permanent? Perhaps Min Connie could console the dejected fellow with a turn at the rack.

The laughter quietly subsided, however, when the activity at Min Connie’s caught her eye. Her miniature likeness hurried through the morning rituals of breakfast, showering, and teeth brushing, then dashed off screen. She returned momentarily with her arms laden with shopping bags. Connie’s eyes widened as Min Connie shelved her newly bought books and compact discs.

Just as she had this morning.

“Oh, I wonder if Min Darla went shopping with her and bought a Minidress,” she breathed and, cringing, switched to aerial view to spy on Darla’s counterpart. She was so far gone into this game, she doubted anything would shock her at this point.

Min Darla’s house was empty, leaving Connie to assume Min Roy had beaten her to the punch. A few keystrokes later had Connie spying on all of Min City, alive and laughing and carrying on underneath the moonlit, computer generated sky.

She found the two lovebirds seated in a cozy booth in an upscale eatery. Mahogany paneling, a lobster tank, and hanging ferns. Classy. Either Min Roy was doing well on his salary or he knew how to budget.

And Min Darla had on a black dress with strappy heels. Doo doo doo-doo, doo doo doo-doo…

She watched for a few minutes as they chatted and laughed and drank wine. Their garbled small talk remained difficult to decipher, but their animated hand gestures and facial expressions told Connie that their foci were on each other, though the conversation sounded bland. The passing Min might see a couple enamored of each other, but Connie saw something that could easily put her to sleep.

Yes, this was probably how Darla’s actual date was progressing. Well, Darla would thank her later when she realized there was a possibility this game had some bearing on real life.

She took control of Min Darla and executed the flirt command. Min Darla coyly twisted in her seat and peered seductively over her shoulder, furiously batting her tiny eyelashes. Min Roy simply ate it up, and Connie raised the pot with successive commands for compliment, preen, and tease. She imagined the temperature in that little restaurant was starting to heat up a few degrees, judging from Roy’s positive reaction to each. He shook his head, smiling, and gestured to loosen his collar.

Unfortunately, there wasn’t a command that allowed Min Darla to cast off a heel and snake her stocking foot inside Min Roy’s pants leg. Connie had to settle, instead, for steering Min Darla through another round of innuendo before the waiter arrived with the check, which Connie noticed Min Roy wasted no time in paying.

“Enough of this,” Connie grumbled and switched to control Min Roy, surprised to see a new array of commands in his pop-up menu—options she had not seen before. Perhaps these were standard with the Love’s DoMINion expansion pack? As racy as some were, they seemed appropriate.

She punched the invitation home command; Min Darla nodded eagerly. A valet brought the car and the two were off. Connie switched back to Min Acres in time to see Min Roy unlock his door, escort his date inside a spacious foyer, and take her coat.

“No point in any pretense,” Connie murmured. The Min folk seemed like a race that frowned upon wasting time in their Min world. Talk was cheap, and who knew what their jibberish was worth.

Min Roy’s pop-up menu returned with a click of the mouse, and Connie gasped at the new selection of commands.

“Holy…” She fished the box from the garbage can and inspected the rating label again. Restricted it was, but maybe weak-kneed teachers should be added to that list. Min Roy’s options spanned the color spectrum of sexual possibilities, from blue to bluest to flaming red-hot. He could kiss, touch, fondle, caress, nuzzle, suckle, lick … and each action led to another menu of possible body parts for said action. Lips, cheeks, neck, breasts…

Connie’s finger slipped off the mouse. Were you allowed to put that word on a computer game? “Oh, I gotta see this,” she said, and regained control of the mouse.

Min Roy paused, and tilted his head to regard the retiring Min Darla before pulling her into his arms for a passionate kiss. Min Darla responded in kind, stroking his back before firmly grasping his buttocks to hold him close. Soon they were on the living room floor, with Min Darla pinned underneath her host. Connie steered the mouse to execute another command but noticed the Mins seemed to have a handle on what to do. No more guidance was needed.

“Hello.” She raised an eyebrow as their clothes simply vanished. Must be nice to live in a world where things like that could happen. If only other unpleasantness in life could dissolve as quickly, like bills and war and busty secretaries.

Those thoughts, however brief, also vanished and Connie fixed her gaze closer to the screen. She had never fancied herself the voyeur, but what she saw next had her rapt attention.

Foreplay was in full force. Limbs entangled, tiny mouths pursed and kissed and suckled. Hardened nipples were laved and nibbled, taut muscles massaged, and Min Darla’s legs spread apart to allow Min Roy to slither south for a long, loving taste of pussy. Ms. Pac Man never had it like this, Connie knew. She felt her own heart pound as Min Darla writhed into orgasm, double time when Min Roy pulled up her length and entered her.

“Wow!” she exclaimed, her eyes riveted to the scene. That was no miniature erection being pounded into her friend’s counterpart, either! What was the age limit for this game again? This had been shelved next to Harry Potte
r game modules at the store! Any unsuspecting parent could purchase this for a child and be uploading virtual porn into his computer in seconds. Connie reminded herself to shoot off a strongly worded e-mail to the program’s company in the morning.

Now, though, she was too busy watching it herself.

She fingered the rubber nub on the mouse that was normally used to make the screen scroll up and down. That function didn’t work for this program, but only served to keep Connie from slipping her hand under the band of her pajama pants to stroke her clit in time to the activity onscreen. She felt the heat pool into her pussy as she watched and pressed her thighs together in an unsuccessful attempt to quell the growing ache that screamed for release.

The two figures onscreen now switched positions, one that allowed Connie to view a more graphic depiction of their activities. “Good lord!” The anatomical detail in this game was nothing short of amazing. Min Darla positioned herself on all fours, arching her back low and craning her neck to watch Min Roy slide in and out of her pussy. Min Roy’s hips swiveled slowly as if to prolong the sensation for his lover. Around and in gently, then out and back in with a thrust. Connie could feel the vibration all the way into the real world. Deftly she slipped a hand under her pants to stroke her pussy. She sped up the attention to her clit, dipping her middle fingertip into her slick core and playing with her lips.

Damn, why couldn’t she get back into the computer to play? She tried the command module with her free hand, nothing. A dozen different combinations didn’t bring up the word, either. What was she doing wrong this time? Had loading the new Love’s DoMINion module voided Go! for good?

If so, the program’s maker was going to get a very nasty letter.

For now, though, Connie could only stroke hard on her clit as Min Roy reared back with a mighty Min roar. He pulled out in time to spray a bit of cum on Min Darla’s back before she whipped around to take his cock into her mouth and lick him clean.

It was like a train wreck Connie couldn’t turn away from, and at the same time she couldn’t help but feel jealous. Unfortunately for her, it was that sense of want that dulled her own orgasm, and Connie simply sat up with a pout as if nothing had happened.

Seemed everybody was getting some kind of action, even fictional characters, while she was alone in her jammies in Darla’s condo.

She returned to a wider aerial view to check on Min Connie. Yep, alone watching TV in her jammies, feeling sorry for herself. Back at the Min love shack, the tiny lovers kissed and caressed each other, moving in for another round.

Annoyed, Connie saved and quit the program, then moved to the living room sofa to sulk.

She was dozing in front of the Weather Channel around two in the morning when Darla glided through the front door, her hair and makeup disheveled, a look of dreamy ecstasy lighting her otherwise tired face. The commotion she made jolted Connie awake, and she scowled at her friend.

  No. It couldn’t have happened.

Darla’s Cheshire grin, however, told her otherwise.

“You’re welcome,” Connie said before Darla could speak, and she dropped back down into the couch to sleep.

  Chapter Six

  “Coincidence,” Darla insisted.

  “Not,” Connie countered.

Darla scoffed and cleared the breakfast dishes. “You’re insane. You need to get away from that damn computer. Go outside and get some fresh air.”

“Dar, I’m telling you, that game is more than what it seems.” She tapped the table with her butter knife. Shakers and condiment bottles rattled from the force of her frustration. Of course, she didn’t expect Darla to believe her, and she really didn’t know why she had bothered to bring it up. Perhaps it was because Darla was still acting so perky, still reveling in the glow of being made love to by Roy, while Connie was reduced to watching the MINsterpiece Theater version of it.

“I’m going to take those CD-ROMs and give them to the Goodwill,” Darla threatened.

“Who at the Goodwill is going to need computer games?” Connie spat. “You know what kind of computers they have there? Commodores, things that use tape players. They’re lucky they can play Pong on those things.”

Darla shrugged. “Fine. I’ll give them to the kid upstairs. He’s a whiz with computers. Probably could crack all the cheat codes for it. Anything to get it out of your hands and get you acting normal again.”

Connie darted a glance in her direction. She shuddered to think of this game in the hands of a ten-year-old boy. The Mins would all be toting weapons and fighting Hobbits and ogres, most certainly. Bor-ring.

Darla slumped into the chair next to Connie. “I can’t believe how you’re going on about this, hon. And I have to admit it hurts a little.”

  “How so?”

“The way you talk, it’s as if the only reason Roy wanted me was because he was cosmically influenced by you and some stupid game.”

“Oh, Darla, I’m sure it wasn’t like that.” One look at her friend’s crestfallen face, however, told Connie that she had some major damage control on her hands. “Okay, maybe I am losing my mind. Between Aaron, and not being at home, and feeling sorry for myself, I guess maybe I was trying to bring some company to my misery, you know?”

That brought a slight, complacent smile from Darla, an encouraging start, anyway.

“Besides,” Connie added, “I’m sure Roy’s been crazy about you from the start. I mean, he didn’t even wait to get you into the bedroom last night. Just sank right to the living room floor…”

  Darla’s smile froze. “What?”

  “What?” Connie echoed, more confused.

“How did you know we did it on his living room floor?”

“Well…” Connie’s voice faded, and she stopped herself before mentioning the game again. She replayed the events of the morning, her breath leaving her as she realized Darla had volunteered no details of her date beyond mentioning the restaurant and that she and Roy had coupled.

Connie looked at her friend and hoped the lingering afterglow of sex had affected her memory. “Didn’t you tell me that earlier?”

“No.” Darla’s expression was blank. “How else could you have possibly known that?” Darla touched a hand to her throat and turned back to where the computer was.

Oh, dear. Connie knew she had to fix this. “Darla,” she prodded. “You yourself said it was just a stupid game.”

“A stupid game,” Darla repeated, her voice wooden.

“What I did last night had no effect on your date,” Connie said. “Even though your Min character was wearing the same dress you had on, and went to a restaurant that matched what you did describe to me this morning, and I’m just going to shut up now because I can see this is not helping.”

Connie leaped from the table and cinched her robe. She started back toward the office but Darla quick-stepped in front of her.

  “Hey.”

Darla fired up the computer and fished through the plastic bin of CD-ROMs. The look of desperation on her face disturbed Connie, and she wished now she had just kept her mouth shut.

“Dar,” she said, forcefully this time. “You’re worse than me now. Remember, it’s just…”

“I know,” Darla snapped. “I’m just going to prove it to you right now. I’m going to show you that this is just a stupid game.” But as Darla fumbled with the Love’s DoMINion disc with shaking hands, Connie had to wonder if her friend really believed that anymore.

The program loaded in seconds, and Darla immediately switched the point of view to Min Roy, who was sound asleep. She woke him up, steered him to the phone, and executed a command to have him call Min Darla.

Two seconds later, the phone rang. Darla screamed. Connie pressed a hand to her fluttering heart. Both women let two more rings peal before Connie eased over the phone and spied Roy’s number in the Caller ID panel.

“Coincidence?” Connie tried, but Darla’s face was white.

“How can I be so sure now?” Darla asked as t
he phone continued to chirp. “How can I be so sure Roy likes me for me and not because we’re controlling him through some piece of crap computer? I mean, this thing doesn’t even have a Pentium chip, for crying out loud.” Darla slapped the monitor.

  “Darla, don’t do that.”

“Why not? I’ll anger the computer dating gods if I do?” Darla’s voice was a high-pitched whine, overpowering the final ring of the phone. Both women looked at the device, unnerved.

“Call him back. For now, move.” Connie nudged Darla out of the swivel chair and tackled the keyboard.

  “What’re you doing?”

Connie switched the program to another screen and created a new character. “Proving you wrong. Rather, proving myself wrong, once and for all.” Her fingers flew across the keys as a new figure took shape on screen.

“If this program is indeed manipulating real life events, then we should be receiving a visitor very soon.” When the clacking of keys ceased, Connie and Darla were staring at a gorgeous specimen of computerized meat—a long, tall blond with soft blue eyes, chiseled arms and abdomen, and tight jeans showcasing a butt off of which one could bounce quarters. Connie gave him a name—Min Mark—and moved him into the neighborhood.

“Guess what? Min Mark needs to borrow some sugar,” Connie said with a smirk, “and I know exactly who can give it to him, in more ways than one.” Three clicks of the mouse had Min Mark rise from his couch, stride over to Min Darla’s, and ring the doorbell.

Right when the chime of Darla’s own bell reverberated throughout the condo.

  Chapter Seven

Neither woman moved. The bell rang a second time.

“Answer it,” Connie seethed. “It’s your apartment.”

Darla laughed, the sound hollow compared to the gay chime vibrating in the room. “Me? Oh, no, darling. I’m not the one who is going to give this man some shoogah, as you so delicately put it earlier. Besides, I’m not dressed.”
