The Beast 4: Soul Tripping Page 4

“Always.” Nathan’s cock jumped against his stomach as Guillermo slicked the lubricant down his own shaft.

“Then hang on,” Guillermo said, kneeling on the floor in front of him.

“Hang…” Nathan didn’t get the rest of the question out because Gui grabbed him and pulled his lower body off the chair then looped Nathan’s legs over his shoulders.

Deftly, Gui’s fingers worked the oily substance from his hands around Nathan’s anus, his mouth closing over Nathan’s cock in the process. Nathan’s lips formed an “O” as he grabbed the back of the chair and held on.

The tip of Guillermo’s index finger slipped past the first muscular ring, eliciting a small moan from Nathan. He worked it around slowly, stretching and preparing Nathan while his tongue licked and curled around the head of his young lover’s shaft.

Leaning forward, Guillermo pushed Nathan’s legs higher and guided his cock to the primed channel. Unsure of how he managed it, Nathan nearly came as Guillermo entered him while maintaining his mouth on Nathan’s hard length.

“Holy shit,” he mumbled as Guillermo pushed deeper, just past the pleasure spot within Nathan’s canal, and withdrew, sucking and licking with the same lazy rhythm.

He felt the surge before it hit as a spark rolled up his cock and popped onto Gui’s lips. Gui growled with passion as he began to nibble and tease Nathan’s cock with more vigor, while pumping his lower body in smooth strokes.

Nathan wanted the sensation of being fucked and sucked at the same time to last, but his cock had other ideas. “Shit, I’m going to come.”

An intense shock ran through his body as the orgasm tore through him and a roar ripped from his throat. Guillermo swallowed his fluid, taking him completely into his mouth before sliding his lips up and off Nathan, straightening his back and pulling Nathan’s lower body against him in pulsing thrusts.

Gui whispered fiercely, passionately, “Te amo, mi amor. Quiero estar contigo. I only want to be with you. Quiero estar contigo para siempre. Forever…” His words trailed off as he gasped and his body convulsed forward, driving himself deeper into Nathan, shuddering with ecstasy.

Nathan’s legs slid down to the floor when Guillermo collapsed against him. They stayed like that for a couple of minutes, neither one of them willing to move. He could feel Guillermo’s cock soften and withdraw from within him, and even that brought him pleasure. “You are incredible.”

“Gracias, amante.” He crawled up Nathan’s chest and planted a kiss at the dip between his collarbones. “I do not want you to forget it.”

In that moment, Nathan realized Guillermo’s insecurity. What had Gui said while they were making love? I only want to be with you. He put on a bold face of bravado, but inside he worried just like anyone else, and Nathan understood Guillermo worried most about losing him. He ran his fingers through Gui’s coarse black hair. “I could never forget.”

Awakening at dusk, Tyr reached out for his master. Instead he found Nadine, her body cool, soft, and feminine. Her fingernails scraped against his thigh, sending a shiver through his stomach, his cock hardening as her lips pressed against his neck.

“Evening, lover,” she purred, her voice dancing along his skin.

  “Evening.”

They’d been sharing the same bed for months, Nadine spending most of her late nights at his apartment. She was fiery and feisty, like no other woman he’d ever known, living or otherwise, someone he could count on in bed and in battle. Damn close to perfect. The reason for the “close” was that she could be cold, distant. He never quite knew how to read her.

After spending seven hundred years sharing thoughts and emotions with his previous master, even as twisted as Min had been, it had been comforting to know where he stood. And sex with Nathan… he moaned as Nadine pulled on his sac. Well, Nathan wanted him as a lover, a friend, not just a toy or a plaything, or someone to blindly do his bidding. It was what attracted Tyr most to the young vampire.

Nadine squeezed his shaft and Tyr’s mind flashed to Nathan licking and sucking his cock in the living room of the new house. Did that really happen? Bits and pieces of memory came back to him, but he questioned whether they were real or not. He could feel Nathan and Guillermo having sex, enjoying each other, but more than that, loving each other. He wanted what they had, but with his own mate.

“Where’s your mind at, lover?” Nadine cooed.

“I…” He gazed at Nadine and wondered, Would she be hurt if I left? Or would she just be angry that she’d lost her flavor of the moment?

A lazy smile played upon her red bow lips, her lavender eyes dancing with mischief. “You…” Her fingers did a slow walk up his chest and neck, before her index finger landed on his lower lip and tugged. “Kiss me.”

He leaned in and pressed his mouth against hers. It was tempting to stay, tempting to have someone in his life, even if that person could never return the feelings he felt. But it wasn’t enough. Not this time.

  “I want you to --”

Tyr cut her words off with a chaste kiss. “I have to go.”

Her eyes went wide in disbelief, then grew cold with anger. “What?”

“I’ve had meaningless before, Nadine. I don’t want that anymore.”

“Is this about Nathan?” Nadine’s voice was filled with rage.

“Yes.” Not in the way she thought though. Nathan had showed him that he was worth loving. A twinge of pain rolled through his stomach. Pushing it aside, he glanced back at Nadine before leaving the room. “I’m sorry.”

  Chapter 5

Anna had locked herself in the small room with all the monitors for the entire day and her stomach growled in protest.

“Calm down, baby. We’ll eat when Daddy says it’s okay to come out.” Although, she was beginning to wonder if “Daddy” had forgotten about her. Her belly had grown two inches since the week before, and she’d gained fifteen pounds. She’d had an ultra-sound at her last visit, and everything had been normal for five months, then all of sudden, BAM, she looked like she was much farther along. Not only that, but she’d started getting images, almost panicked, from the baby.

“What’s going on with you, little one?” There was a kick in response. For the hundredth time since she’d locked herself in the room, she glanced at the monitors. Four people, three men and a woman, had parked out by the front gate in a silver BMW nearly an hour earlier. Since it had still been daylight, Anna hadn’t worried about them being the vampires who were trying to kill them, and besides, none of them were pasty white. But the fact that they just sat there made her a bit nervous. It could have been that they all looked like they were extras on a Conan the Barbarian film. Even the woman looked like she was on steroids. A total Amazon.

Anna, wrapped up in watching the four strangers, nearly fell out of the swiveling chair when she heard the door handle rattle.

“Who’s there?” Her voice quivered, less steady than she’d hoped.

  “Anna?” A woman’s voice.

  “Yes. Who are you?”

“It’s Nadine. I need to get in the security office.”

Okay, she’d heard about Nadine. Nadine was one of the good guys, kind of. She walked to the door and slowly unlatched the lock and turned the handle. A woman wearing a yellow vinyl cat suit with matching spiked boots strolled in, her face full of practiced confidence. Her red hair hung loose around her shoulders and down her back. Anna pushed down a twinge of jealousy as she took in the shapely and skinny figure.

Nadine rushed past her, brushing her arm against Anna’s, and a strong wave of anger, hurt and betrayal passed from Nadine to her. She watched as the thin woman plopped down in the chair.

  “Warm.”

  “Hmmm?”

“The seat. It’s warm. Nice. Now scram. I’ve got work to do.”

Okay, so that was a little intimidating. “Are you all right?”

Shrugging, Nadine pointed to the door. “Close it on your way out.”

“No, really.” Anna couldn’t help but press. “Did someone do something to hurt you?”

The redhead scoffed. “Hurt me. You must be kidding.”

“Uh, no. Not really.” Her eyes narrowed. “Do you know there are four people in a silver car outside the gate? They’ve been there for about an hour.”

Raising an eyebrow, Nadine peered at the monitor. “They’re expected.” She pushed a button and the gate opened. The car started and drove past the gate toward the house.

“May I ask who they are?”

  Nadine shrugged. “Dinner.”

  “Dinner? Like take out…”

  Nadine bared a fang. “Dinner.”

Anna’s hand went to her mouth. “Oh.” She could feel the bile rise in the back of her throat. Nadine smiled as Anna turned and fled the room looking for the nearest toilet to throw up in.

“The Unrein and his offspring must be destroyed!” the leader of the Brotherhood, Wilhelm Stivers, shouted to the small crowd of vampires in the basement of the split-level house on Paseo Drive. There were a few mumbles of agreement and one or two shouts to take up the cause.

A lone hand went up in the back of the room. “Excuse me. Sir? Can we keep the meeting down a little? My parents are sleeping and they’d have a shit-fit if they found out I was having a party down here.”

Tommy Brown, new vampire and loyal member to the cause, worked as a lab technician at Research Medical Center. He’d been in charge of the paternity test proving beyond a doubt that Nathan Greer was indeed the father of Anna Murphy’s child. He’d contacted the Brotherhood of Truth on the Internet after reading their website. He liked being a vampire. Before he’d been brought over, Tommy had been invisible, a skinny nerd with glasses and a bad case of acne. The acne went away and his eyesight became 20/20 after turning, and although he was still skinny, being a vampire gave him a confidence he’d never felt before. He was actually getting laid for once in his life! And Tommy Brown didn’t want any Unrein ruining it for him.

“This is not a party!” Wilhelm screamed. Tommy cringed as the sound echoed off the basement walls and the six vampires he’d invited grew quiet, as they waited expectantly for the sound of footsteps coming toward the basement. Living with his parents remained economical, especially with the rise in gas prices, and he didn’t make much as a lab tech.

When Tommy was certain his parents were still sleeping, he added gently, “I hear you, brother. What I mean is, I have to live here. So, can we be a little less, you know, loud.”

Wilhelm started to shake, his pasty face quivering with excitement, but he lowered his voice and told the new followers of the cause his plans for Nathan Greer.

“…and we have a guest house out back for when you have the baby,” Nathan said to Anna as they passed through the library. He put his hand on his stomach, trying to wish away the nausea he’d been feeling since he’d come downstairs. “Anyways, I think you should stay in the house until after this whole BOT thing is over with. It’ll make me feel better. They seemed pretty determined and fairly nuts.”

Anna nodded, then, “Oosh!” Her palms flattened against her rounded belly. “The baby kicked. Man, he’s going to be a soccer player.”

  “Can I feel?”

Smiling, Anna reached for his hand and placed it on her stomach. “Of course you can.”

Nathan felt a hard bump, like a small ball pressing on the inside of a balloon. It rolled across the inner surface nearly two inches. “Wow. That’s our kid.”

“Yes, it is.” All clichés aside, Anna really did glow with her pregnancy. Even with her face nearly moon-shaped with weight, she looked beautiful.

“By the way, Guillermo ordered some furniture and it will be arriving tomorrow. They said they’d be here around six, but sometimes movers come early. So, just in case we aren’t awake when they show up, I wanted you to know. Make sure you let Harry, Charles, Diane, and Leo handle the delivery.”

  “And they would be?”

“The four who showed up earlier. They’re a few of Guillermo’s human bouncers from the bar. We’ve asked them to stay, to help guard the place during the day.”

“Oh.” Anna’s face contorted in revulsion. “Dinner.”

  “What?”

“Never mind.” She rubbed her arms. “Uh, Nathan. I know you don’t like her much, but I’m worried about Nadine.”

  “Worried about that bitch?”

Slapping him on the shoulder, Anna chided, “Don’t call her that. I know she looks hard on the outside, but I got a glimpse of her insides tonight, and she is really hurting.”

“I hope they didn’t ruin the floor.”

“You know what I mean. I don’t know why I can read vamps all of a sudden, but the point is, I can. Something has happened to really upset her. I got the feeling she is heartbroken.”

Nathan scowled. “I can’t see anything penetrating that heart of hers except an ice pick.”

“Well, I’m telling you right now, Nathaniel Greer, that woman is in pain. And I got the distinct impression it was over something you did.”

“Oh crap.” Had Tyr told Nadine about what had happened between them? Nathan didn’t think so. Nadine would have come completely unglued had that been the case. “I’ll talk to Gui. He’s the only one, other than Tyr, who can have a civil conversation with her.”

“Yes,” Anna agreed. “She does seem difficult to talk with.”

  Nathan snorted. “Yeah, difficult.”

  Chapter 6

Nadine paced the security room. “What the hell am I doing here? Guillermo doesn’t need me. Tyr doesn’t want me. And Nathan Greer can go straight to hell for all I care!”

She kicked the wall, burying her six-inch spiked heel into the sheetrock. “Damn it!” Pulling her thigh, trying to dislodge her foot, Nadine fell flat on her ass with a shriek. “That’s it! I’ve had it.”

Giving up the idea of ever having Guillermo back in her bed had been hard enough, but Nathan had gone too far this time. With Tyrsgard Madds, she had found somebody she actually enjoyed being around. Hell, she’d even changed the way she dressed for him. She looked over her vinyl cat suit. Sort of. For the last three months, she’d been happy, really happy. And to find out that another man she cared about preferred Nathan to her, well, that was more than she could take.

“What does Greer have that I don’t?” Other than the obvious. Vampires didn’t fall under the same sexuality guidelines that mortals did. Nadine had slept with women in the past, but she liked to fuck men. There was something powerful in the action that appealed to all aspects of her being. Since she’d started dating Tyr, though, something else had happened to Nadine. She didn’t feel quite so lonely or isolated. Even when she’d been regular with Guillermo, she never felt like he was there. Not completely. Not the way he was with Nathan.

Plopping down in the swivel chair, Nadine grimaced. Is this going to be the way it always is? Playing second fiddle to the doc? Regardless of the outcome with the Brotherhood, Nadine decided, she would leave Kansas City and go back to California when this was all over.

“Hello,” a voice squawked over the intercom. Nadine glanced at the front gate monitor. Two elderly ladies and an older man were crammed into the front of a white Mercury Sable. “Hello. Is there anybody there?”

What the hell? It’s like the granny brigade out there. Nadine pushed a button. “I think you have the wrong house.”

“Uh, I think my Nathan lives here with his… err… friend,” the driver said.

The man sitting in the middle added, “I think they call them partners, Nan.”

The one nearest the passenger door jumped in. “No, no, Alfred. It’s life-partner.”

“Oh, whatever,” the driver quipped, frustration written on her face. “That nice Mexican boy he sees called me and told me that they just bought this house. So, I’m pretty sure this is the right one.”

Nadine snorted. “This should be good.” She pushed th
e intercom button again. “I’m opening the gate.”

“Thank you,” they said in unison, waving at the monitor.

Scooting back in her chair, Nadine put her feet up on the desk. “No, thank you.” Anything to make Nathan’s night a little more uncomfortable.

  * * *

Nathan could hear Anna rustling around in the kitchen. The woman had bought out the grocery store and stocked the cabinets and fridge like she was preparing for the end of the world. His own hunger clenched at his stomach as he searched the house for Guillermo. The master vampire wasn’t indoors, so Nathan went outside to the backyard and found him sitting at the edge of the heated pool, swishing a toe in the water.

As Nathan came up behind Gui, he noticed the vampire was wearing a Speedo. And while it should have been funny, the sight was anything but. Guillermo looked like he was born to swim the English Channel, tall and leanly muscled, with narrow hips and well developed arms.

“You found me.” Guillermo smiled, but it couldn’t cover the worry on his brow.

  “You look good.”

“Oh, these.” Guillermo pointed to his tight briefs. “I wanted to swim, but since Anna is here, I chose to be modest.”

“Good plan. I’d hate for her to go into labor because she saw you naked.” Nathan rolled up his pant legs and sat next to Gui, placing his feet in the water as well. He smoothed his fingers across his lover’s back. “Warm.”

“Yes. It is a heated pool.”

“I wasn’t talking about the water.” Guillermo’s skin was flushed with a fresh feeding, and Nathan’s own hunger rose.

“Are you looking for a snack, Nathaniel? Or a full meal?”

“How could I want anything less than the whole package from you?”

“You used to find me repulsive.”

“I never found you repulsive.” He kissed Guillermo’s neck. “I found myself repulsive when I couldn’t accept what I was. I still struggle a bit with the whole vampire thing, but because of you I’m more content than I could have ever imagined.”
