We leaned on the hood of her car and squished in, smiling and pulling faces as she took several selfies.
She posted one immediately, and my phone buzzed in my pocket with the notification. She’d chosen one where we were all hugging, smiling widely, the sun glinting off our sunglasses. The caption was just one hashtag—#DevilbendDynasty.
I knew in that moment I’d always been a part of them as far as they were concerned. I was finally embracing it.
Donna and Amaya led the way, and Harlow and I hooked arms as we followed. I held my head high and waved to people I knew. I had a feeling it was going to be a good day.
