Drilled

by Cole, Cassie

She gave me a sympathetic smile. “Do you think you can find that evidence?”

“We think so,” I said. “Too many of these accidents happen with contractors at Blackrock drill sites. It happens four times as often as the next closest company in North Dakota. If that’s all random, then that’s one hell of a coincidence.”

“Fair enough.” She captured one of my pawns and then pointed it at me. “No more gloomy subjects. Tell me when you learned to play chess.”

I grinned. “Well, like I said, my dad taught me to play when I was four. I wanted to learn checkers, but he went straight to chess…”

We laughed and exchanged chess-related stories as we continued our game. Lexa had the most amazing smile; she smiled with her entire face, making her eyes and cheeks light up. The kind of smile that was impossible to resist joining.

  Shit. I’ve got it bad.

As the pieces on the board dwindled I realized I’d had a crush on her these few days. It was hard not to, being around someone like her. Someone beautiful and fun and flirty. She leaned forward while considering her next move, which showed off the warm cleavage sticking out the top of her blouse. I wondered if she was doing it intentionally.

I’d been pushing down my crush because we needed to focus on work. But now that Cas had slept with her, and we didn’t need to be careful…

“Might as well trade queens,” she said, sliding hers across the board to take mine. I immediately captured it with my pawn.

“Was hopin’ you’d do that,” I said.

  “Oh?”

  “You’ll see.”

She cocked her head at me and rolled the captured queen between her fingers. It was such a small, innocent move but she made it seem seductive.

I moved my rook out. “Check.”

Her lips tightened in a pout. “Oh.”

  “That’s right.”

“Oh crap.” She touched a pawn, removed her hand, then touched another one. “You’re not leaving me with many options.”

  “Shouldn’t have castled,” I said.

We made three more moves, each one putting her on the defensive. Getting my pieces in position.

“I think I’ve got you beat,” she finally admitted.

“It’s only a matter of time.”

She looked up at me through her curtain of jet black hair. “No use fighting it, then,” she said softly.

Aww, shit. I had it bad.

As we rose from the table and I took her in my arms, I didn’t care.

Letting go of my inhibitions felt like jumping into a warm bath. The rush of surrendering was incredible.

Tex kissed me hard, the kiss I’d been imagining for the past 20 minutes of our chess game. I pressed my body against his and he wrapped his arms around me, hands pulling against my back to keep me close. His body was hot and hard with muscle, and the bulge in his jeans pressed tightly against my crotch.

He was a hell of a good kisser. The right amount of pressure and tongue. I could go on and on doing only that, except he pulled away after a long moment, keeping his face very close to mine. I could see the lust in his dark eyes.

  “Are you sure…”

“Yes,” I hissed, kissing him again and pushing myself into him. Once he’d heard me say it he took over again, whirling me around and pushing me back on the couch. He pulled his shirt over his head, revealing a tall torso of lean muscle, slender in all the right ways. His abs were so defined it was like the shadows were painted on.

I took in the sight of him standing over me, one tattooed arm and long, beautiful body. “Do you want me?” I asked.

  “Yes ma’am.”

My fingers flew to my jeans, unbuttoning and then unzipping. Tex grabbed hold on them and yanked them off my legs, then I raised my ass to remove my lacy panties. The cool air hit my wet sex as I was vulnerable for that brief second, that frozen moment where I was revealing myself to someone new. But I was not afraid—only excited.

Based on how Tex fell on me, so was he.

He covered my vulnerable body with his, kissing my neck and shoulder. I ran my hand over his close-shaved head and pushed him lower until his lips wrapped around my nipple. He sucked hard, sending jolts of intense pleasure through my spine and making me arch my back underneath him. I pressed my full breasts together, which made him suck harder and grab a handful himself, pawing at me with desperation that proved how much he’d wanted me all night.

  I can’t believe I’m doing this.

But I could. It was all I’d thought about since Cas’s text.

“Take me,” I said. If we waited any longer I would die. “I need you.”

“I need you too.” Tex kissed lower, pausing just above my sensitive place before brushing it with his chin in a teasing, torturous way. Then he was standing and pulling off his own pants, revealing a penis that was long and skinny like his body. I reached out and touched it, dragging my fingernails along the underside and across the ridge of his head, which made him shiver.

Tex licked his palm, then rubbed the saliva over his tip to coat it. I held my breath as he leaned forward, planting his tattooed arm on the couch and using the other to guide himself into me.

  Is this really happening?

I moaned as his tip wedged its way into my lips, sliding in with perfect lubrication. He pushed forward until reaching the shaft, where the friction slowed him down. I reached between us and rubbed my fingers on either side of my lips, then used that to coat his shaft.

“I’ve thought about this for days,” Tex said above me. He was looking down and back at my fingers running along his length.

  “Yeah?”

“I didn’t think it would happen,” he said.

“It’s not happening yet,” I teased, pushing my hips up on him a little harder. There was the tiniest flicker of pain as he went deeper, but it was quickly overwritten by every nerve inside my inner walls blossoming like a field of flowers in spring.

“You feel so good,” he said, face full of tension. “You’re. So. Tight.”

“Don’t be gentle.” I leaned up and kissed his neck, then shoved my tongue in his ear, flicking it all around. It must have been the push he needed because suddenly he thrust with his hips hard, burying himself all the way inside of me, deeper than I’d ever felt. The ache of him literally took my breath away; I exhaled every ounce of air in my lungs and melted underneath him.

“How’s that?” he asked with a sly smile.

  “What do you think?”

“I think it’s pretty damn good.”

  “You could say that.”

He stayed all the way inside of me while rotating his hips in a circle; the sensation of the rolling pressure made me sigh back into the couch cushion. With each rotation he came out a little bit before diving back in—not a lot, just a few grains. Soon I was desperate for his love, and leaned my head up to find his lips in another long, passionate kiss.

“Don’t be gentle,” I repeated, unable to handle much more of this torture. “Give it to me.”

  “Yeah?”

  “Oh yeah.”

He pulled his long shaft all the way back and slammed it into me again, rocking my entire body into the couch and pulling a yelp of pleasure from my lips. He arched his eyebrow in a question and I nodded vigorously, and he pulled back and thrust again, slamming into me even harder. Each time I yelped he grinned wider, his own pleasure deepening.

“You’re so tight,” he said, “I won’t last long.”

“Then you’d. Better make. It count,” I said between thrusts.

I threw myself into the motions of his lovemaking, taking in all of him: two arms planted on either side of my body while his chiseled form drilled me like an oil pump, somehow deeper and deeper each time. I didn’t need him to last very long because my own ecstasy was rising quicker than I expected; I touched myself to hurry myself along, rubbing rapidly in a race to climax before he did, another game like our chess match—bu
t hopefully one where we’d both win.

Tex bit his lip with concentration as sweat beaded on his temple. I ran my free hand along his jaw, feeling his bones and flesh beneath my palm, this new man that was deep inside of me and close to climaxing. The lights in my condo grew brighter as I neared my own. I was going to win this race, and unlike my night with Cas there was nobody I needed to be quiet for; I could scream as loudly as I pleased.

“I’m gunna come,” he warned, slowing down for half a second. “Where…”

“Wherever you want,” I said, eager to accept him however he wanted.

“I want to come in your mouth,” he said.

I’d never done that. I’d never had the opportunity. But hearing the words float off his lips filled me with intense pleasure that shot me toward my orgasm like a trebuchet—the idea of a man using me like that, a dirty act which I was eager to experience.

“Okay,” I moaned. “Oh God, oh God…”

He thrust two more times and then pulled out, crawling up on the couch to straddle my face. I grabbed him by the shaft and accepted his meat into my mouth in time to catch the beginning of his orgasm, a hot load in my mouth with the exclamation point of his roaring voice.

All of it threw me into my own climax harder than I expected; I rubbed my clit and then pressed it into my flesh as everything around me dimmed and vibrated. I moaned into Tex’s head as he came and came and came, the act of swallowing his load the exact right amount of dirty to boost my own pleasure as I thrashed and convulsed on the couch underneath him.

“I didn’t expect to get rewarded for losing at chess,” I said as I looked up at him. He rested on one elbow while nuzzling my neck, then looked up at me with his boyish grin.

“Aww, hell. I’m the one who got rewarded.”

  “You sure about that?”

Before he could answer, we heard a scraping noise downstairs. Keys at the front door.

  “Jason!” Tex hissed.

We were like two teenagers whose parents came home before they expected. We leaped up and put our clothes on so fast I nearly got rug burn from my jeans. By the time Jason made his way up the steps I was in the kitchen while Tex was sprawled across the couch.

“Hey,” Jason said with a sigh. His round face was rosy, and not just from the outside chill.

“Hi,” I said as I poured a glass of water.

“Listen…” Jason began. He stayed at the top of the stairs. “I was a real asshole earlier. Work has me stressed and I took it out on you. I’m sorry.”

“It’s alright,” I said. “I understand what you’re going through. I’d be stressed out after what happened too.”

His eyes widened. “Wait. What do you mean?”

“I…” I trailed off. Crap. Was I supposed to keep that a secret?

“I told her,” Tex said, leaving the couch to come to my defense. His zipper was down, and although I tried to get his attention, he was too busy focusing on Jason. “After your outburst, she knew somethin’ was up. So I told her the truth.”

  “Bro…”

“She has no loyalty to Blackrock,” Tex said. “She’ll keep our secret.”

  “Will she?”

  They both turned to me.

“Of course,” I said. “I’m just a temp there.”

“A temp who’s trying to score a more permanent role.”

“That’s true,” I admitted. “But it doesn’t mean I’m going to rat you out.”

“Doesn’t it?” he said. “You’ve got every reason to turn us in, and no reasons to cover for us.”

I’ve got several reasons. But the look on Tex’s face told me not to say anything about what had just happened, or what I’d already done with Cas, so I swallowed my excuse.

“I’m a woman of my word.” I held my head high. “If Blackrock is skirting safety requirements, I want them caught as much as you do.”

“I doubt that,” Jason said, but he nodded. “So will you help us, then?”

  “Help you how?”

“Hey now,” Tex said, putting up a hand. “We’re not going to put Lexa in such a position. Right, Jason?”

He stared his friend down until he finally gave in. I got the impression he was just drunk enough to be softer than normal. “Yeah, you’re right. We wouldn’t do that.”

  “Good,” Tex said.

And then Jason surprised me by spreading his arms and wrapping me in a hug. He pulled me into his chest and held me tight. He smelled like whiskey and cologne.

“I’m sorry,” he said, shockingly vulnerable for a brief moment. “I won’t lash out at you again, or put you in that position.”

“It’s alright,” I whispered back. His embrace was warm and enveloping, like a blanket of comfort. He squeezed me one final time and then pulled away, looking uncomfortable.

“Hey, look on the bright side,” I said. “With Cas and Kai gone, you two can sleep in real beds!”

“I actually don’t mind the blow-up mattress,” Jason said. “But it’ll be nice not sharing a room.”

“You’re actin’ like I snore like Kai,” Tex said.

“No,” Jason said. “But you do wheeze. Like listening to a tiny little train whistle.”

“It’s dry!” Tex protested. “My sinuses are better when the weather warms up…”

I laughed with the two of them, grateful for the distraction from what was really on my mind: the idea of sharing myself with four guys. More so, the fact that I was already halfway there.

And even crazier: how it didn’t scare me one bit. In fact, it excited me.

  Jason

I was a fucken mess. I had been for the past month, and especially for the past few days. It was clear as could be, now. Sometimes a guy just needed a few beers to help him see the light.

I’d been a dick to my closest friends, to the Blackrock employees assisting our audit, and even to Lexa. She especially didn’t deserve it. Not that the others did, but you know. Her least of all.

At least we were making progress. I hoped the info we’d given Cas and Kai helped them track down the contractors who had been at the site the day of the accident. Names and addresses were usually good enough… But you never knew in an industry like this, filled with deceit and lies.

Lexa gulped her glass of water and then excused herself to bed. She gave Tex a look before she did—locking eyes with him a moment longer than was normal. Long enough for my half-drunk brain to make the connection.

As soon as I heard her bedroom door close upstairs, I said, “What did you two do?”

  “What do you mean?”

Tex was never a good liar. It came with the territory of being a compulsive worrier: the moment he said a lie, his mind would grind away at all the ways he could be discovered. I almost felt bad for him. Not that I was a big liar, of course. But sometimes a person needed to be able to hide the truth a little bit.

I fixed my friend and coworker with a blank stare. Within 10 seconds he was melting and confessing everything that had happened. It poured out of him like it had been a burden for weeks rather than minutes.

“Seriously?” I whispered. “Just now, on the couch?”

  “Uh huh.”

“Bro, we have to sit on that couch! And your naked ass was all over it?”

He rubbed the back of his neck. “Well, it was just her naked ass. Mine never touched it.”

I laughed. I couldn’t help it. “At least there’s that. Hers I don’t mind as much.”

  “Amen to that,” Tex said.

I stared at the stairs. Picturing Lexa with Tex, and Cas. The emotions I felt were all jumbled together, too difficult to untangle.

“Think she’ll go for it?” I asked.

“Nah,” Tex quickly said. “She said she thinks you’re ugly as sin.”

  “Bro, that’s not fucken funny.”

  Tex grinned. “Sure it was.”

I punched him in the arm playfully. “As intriguing as all that is, we ought t
o be focusing on Blackrock. Especially now that we’ve had a breakthrough.”

“Potential breakthrough,” Tex said. “If the paper trail on those contractors is fake, then we’re back to square one.”

  “True.”

“And hey,” Tex added. “It’s funny hearing you say we should focus on Blackrock when you were the one saying you wanted to James Bond her. Sleep with her for info.”

“It was a joke,” I grumbled. “And besides, that is focusing on Blackrock. Getting data by any means necessary!”

  “Sure,” Tex said.

He took the bedroom Cas had been sleeping in, which left me Kai’s futon. But it still smelled like the big German, and I didn’t want to disturb Lexa to ask where she kept fresh sheets, so I retired downstairs on the air mattress. I really didn’t mind it. After staying in some of the cheapest, nastiest hotels in the most remote parts of North Dakota, an air mattress wasn’t bad at all.

I dreamed of Lexa. We were in the Blackrock lobby after hours, for some strange reason. Everything was dark and quiet, the only light coming from the nearby buildings reflected through the lobby’s tall windows. She sat on the counter of the front desk, wearing a long green dress that flowed down around her ankles. She smiled and spread her legs, which made the dress hike up to her knees. Inviting me in.

“Jason,” she called from across the room. “Don’t you want me?”

In the strange dreamlike way of moving, I was there in the blink of an eye, and I was suddenly nude. She looked up at me while grabbing my cock and guiding it inside her, and I fit smoothly like a puzzle piece. Like our two parts had always been meant to be together, but had taken this long to find their way to one another.
