In the car on the way to the restaurant, Sienna decided to tell Logan about her afternoon.
“I had an unusual lunch today,” she said.
“Oh? In what way?”
“I was reading my book when I noticed some flashes. I thought someone was taking pictures of their family or the scenery. When I looked up, there was a reporter across the street. He was taking pictures of me.”
Logan looked over at her. “Is that all he did?”
She shook her head. “No, he came over and asked some questions. He wanted to know if we were engaged and why I didn’t have on a ring. He asked if I was just after your money or if I loved you.”
A grin twitched the corner of his mouth. “And what did you tell him?”
“That we hadn’t decided on a ring yet,” she answered, being obtuse on purpose.
“That wasn’t what I meant you and you know it. But now that you mention it, we should get the ring part taken care of tonight so that won’t happen again.”
She shook her head. “You don’t have to buy me an engagement ring for a pretend engagement.”
“Yes I do. Otherwise, no one will ever believe it’s real.”
She sighed, admitting defeat… for the moment. “I told him that of course I loved you; that any woman would be lucky to have you and would have to be crazy not to love you.”
He smiled. “I’m glad to hear it.”
On the way to the restaurant, Logan pulled up to a jewelry store. Sienna’s gaze slid to him. He was really going to buy her a ring for a sham of an engagement?
“I meant what I said. You don’t have to buy a ring.”
“Yes I do, now stop arguing and get out of the car.”
Shaking her head in frustration, she got out of the car and followed him into the store. He went straight for the largest diamonds in the place, naturally. Sienna went to the opposite side and looked at smaller, lower quality stones.
He walked up behind her and put his hands on her waist. “What are you doing?”
“Looking at rings,” she said in a tone that said isn’t it obvious?
He shook his head. “I’m not buying you one of those so you’re wasting your time. Come on,” he said with a tug on her hand. He led her to the middle of the diamond counters.
“How about if we compromise? You don’t want the big flashy rings that I keep looking at and I refuse to buy you a low quality one. So what about one in the middle?”
“I guess that would be okay,” she relented.
In the end, Sienna had a two carat emerald cut diamond on a platinum band with small diamond clusters on either side. It was way more ostentatious than she had wanted, but it seemed to be a big deal to Logan.
At the restaurant, they were seated in a small private area where the more well-known clientele had their meals. Sienna glanced around and noticed an actor, a famous writer, and a few other faces that seemed familiar. She felt exceedingly out of place.
Logan reached across the table and took her hand in his. He rubbed his thumb across her knuckles and admired the ring on her finger. Even if it was just for pretend, it still felt remarkable to be engaged to such a wonderful woman. He also noticed the subtle, and not-so-subtle, glances of the other diners in their area. He figured by tomorrow morning the news would be out everywhere – Logan Drake was off the market!
“Are you okay, Sienna?”
“Of course I am.”
He looked at her uncertainly. “You seem a little tense.”
She shrugged her shoulder. “I guess I’m just not used to all of this,” she answered with a nod in the direction of the famous people surrounding them. He may hang around famous people all the time, but she certainly didn’t.
He smiled. “I think that’s what I love about you. Any other woman would be fawning over all the attention she was receiving from so many famous people. But you… you just wish that you were elsewhere, away from their scrutiny.”
“Is that a bad thing?”
Logan shook his head. “Not at all. You’re a breath of fresh air.”
Sienna smiled and relaxed. If Logan Drake could be as laid back as he was, surely some of the other famous people around her were the same. She just had to think of them as every day normal people. Okay, so their version of a normal day was nothing like hers, but it was average for them.

After dinner, Logan drove Sienna back to her place. He walked her to her door and hesitated. He wanted to kiss her goodnight, but she had been so tense all evening he wasn’t sure if his advance would be appreciated.
Sensing his hesitation, Sienna looked up at him. “Would you like to come in for a minute?”
He flashed her a grin and nodded. “I’d like that.”
Following her into the house, he looked around the place. He’d been to her place twice now, but he always found a new discovery when he walked through her home. He hadn’t noticed the small family portrait on the bookshelf before or the fact that the pull cord on her ceiling fan had a crystal rabbit dangling from the end. Every time he was here, he discovered something new about Sienna.
“Would you like something to drink?” she asked, kicking off her shoes and motioning toward the kitchen.
“No, thank you.”
Sienna tilted her head and studied him a moment. Her gaze travelled from his well-groomed hair, across the strong planes of his face, across his broad shoulders and chest, down to his waist. When she noticed the bulge in his pants she blushed.
Feeling brave, she sauntered over to him and placed her hands on his chest. Pushing up on her tip toes, she pressed her lips against his. When she felt his mouth open under hers, she slipped her tongue between his lips to play with his. Her hand slid down his abdomen, paused briefly at the waistband of his pants, and then explored further; her fingers glided over the hard ridge of him, straining against the khakis.
Logan picked her up and carried her to the sofa. Thankfully the blinds had all been drawn so no one could see inside the house. He gently lowered her to her feet and reached for the zipper on the back of her dress. Slowly he lowered the zipper, exposing her creamy back. He pushed the dress off her shoulders and watched it puddle at her feet. His hot gaze took in the lacy white material of her bra and panties. He could see her nipples clearly through the thin fabric, aroused and ready for his touch. His eyes travelled down her soft, silky stomach to her panties. Her red hair was visible through them. He reached out and gently slid his fingers between her legs. The lacy material was wet with her hot moisture.
Sienna unfastened the buttons on Logan’s shirt. Pulling the material free from his pants, she pushed it off his shoulders and onto the floor. Reaching for his belt, she unfastened it and slid it free of the belt loops. As she reached for the button on his pants, she leaned forward and took his nipple into her mouth. As her teeth grazed him, she heard a sharp intake of breath. She felt his dick jump against the fabric of his pants and quickly unzipped them, pushing them down his legs.
She stepped closer, pressing her body to his and she pulled his head down for another kiss. Her hand slipped between their bodies to caress the hard length of him through the silky material of his boxer briefs. She didn’t know what they were made of, but they molded to him, accentuating every ridge, every curve.
Logan reached behind Sienna and unfastened her bra. He pushed it up over her breasts and cupped them with his large hands. His thumbs flicked her nipples, making her gasp with pleasure.
She pulled back and looked up into his eyes. They burned as brightly as hers did with a need stronger than both of them. Her bra slipped free of her body and she felt Logan’s hands on her waist, coaxing her panties down her legs. When she stood before him, naked and desperately wanting him, he turned her to face the sofa.
Leaning close to her ear, he whispered, “Kneel on the sofa and prop your arms up on the back of it.”
She shivered in anticipation of what he was going to do. Climbing onto the sofa as he had instructed, she placed her sha
king hands on the back of it.
Standing behind her, his chest close enough to her back that she could feel the heat rising from his skin, Logan braced a hand alongside hers on the back of the sofa. Whispering in her ear again, he said, “Spread your legs for me.”
The anticipation was about to kill Sienna. She did as he said, spreading her legs the width of the sofa cushion she was kneeling on. She felt his hot mouth trail kisses across the back of her neck and shoulders. His hand branded a fiery trail down her back to her hip. He massaged her hip a moment before sliding his hand behind her. Fingers trailing over her ass, Logan reached between her legs, spreading her.
She was so slick and so hot that he had to fight not to lose control. He wanted to please her before taking his own pleasure. Gently massaging her clit with his fingers, he felt a tremor run through her body.
“Do you like that?” he whispered, his breath tickling her ear and sending more tremors through her.
She nodded, unable to speak her answer.
Removing his hand from the sofa, he palmed her heavy breasts, playing first with one and then the other. His hand slid down her stomach to her now drenched curls. He could tell that she was close to coming and wanted to push her over the edge, help her find her release.
His hand slid between her legs, the fingers playing with her clit slid further back, allowing his other hand to explore that extra sensitive part of her body. As he pinched, flicked and teased her swollen clit, he slid two fingers deep inside of her.
Feeling Logan’s hands pleasuring her from behind and from the front made Sienna see stars. She gripped the sofa even tighter, trying to hold herself upright. Bucking her hips, she felt her orgasm spread through her like fire. As the spasms died down, she felt Logan continue to pump his fingers in and out of her. Without breaking stride, he helped her lie on her back on the sofa. Kneeling between her legs, his tongue flicked over her clit. Still overly sensitive from her orgasm, Sienna gasped and bucked her hips, not sure what she wanted, only that she wanted more, more of Logan.
Logan licked, nipped and sucked her clit until she climaxed again, screaming his name over and over. Sliding his fingers from her body, he pushed his boxers down his legs.
“Why don’t you sit on your knees, facing me,” Logan told her.
Shakily, Sienna climbed to her knees and braced her back against the sofa cushions. Logan lifted her, placing her legs around his waist. In one smooth thrust, he sheathed himself in her completely. She was so hot and so tight; she felt like molten fire and silk. Thrusting slowly in and out of her, Logan groaned with pleasure.
Sienna whimpered and thrust her hips, keeping motion with Logan. She felt enflamed and knew that only Logan could give her what she wanted, what she needed.
Logan thrust into her faster, her slick body giving no resistance as he entered her over and over again. The feel of her satiny skin as he glided into her, her walls clenching down on him, pulling him deeper was enough to drive him mad.
“Logan… harder…” she murmured, wanting all of him, hard and fast.
Gripping her waist in both hands, Logan rammed into her hard and fast. Hearing Sienna’s gasp of pleasure was all he needed… pumping faster and harder he drove both of them over the edge. As Sienna’s climax broke over her, Logan thrust into her one last time, shouting her name with his release.
Lying back on the sofa, Logan pulled Sienna down on top of him. Still joined, he felt Sienna’s muscles clench down on his dick, holding him in place. Smiling into her hair, he hugged her close. She was by far the most amazing woman he’d ever been with.
Chapter Eight
A month later
Sienna nervously paced her bedroom, glancing nervously at the bathroom door. It wasn’t the bathroom itself that her nervous, but what was in the bathroom. She’d realized that morning that her period was over a week late.
She’d been seeing Logan seriously for a month. Their engagement was still pretend, but their time together was special. Or at least it was special to her. She wasn’t entirely sure how Logan felt about any of it. All she knew was that having sex like bunnies and not using a condom was probably not the smartest thing she’d ever done. In her defense, Logan was just too irresistible for his own good. Every time the man was around, she forgot how to think.
Looking at her bedside clock, she realized it was truth time. Bracing herself, she walked into the bathroom and glanced at the little stick on the counter. Two blue lines stared back at her, taunting her, mocking her… Yep, no doubt about it, Sienna Blake was pregnant.
Slumping to the floor, she cradled her head in her hands and groaned. What was she going to do? She couldn’t raise a baby on her own! And what would Logan think? He’d surely go running, screaming, as far from her as possible the moment he found out.
On the bright side, that slightly nauseous feeling she’d been having was now explained. And here she’d been worried that someone had given her a stomach bug! Oh they’d given her a bug alright, just one of the permanent variety.
Getting to her feet, she walked into the living room and picked up the phone. Staring at the numbers, she started to dial Logan’s number, then chickened out and sat the phone back down. She stared at it, knowing she should call him, but too afraid of how he would react.
Deciding to clear her head the best way she knew how (shopping!), she took a shower and put on a comfortable summer dress and sandals. Dabbing on a little lip-gloss and mascara, she grabbed her purse and keys and headed out the door.
After driving around aimlessly, she found herself at one of Logan’s bookstores. Locking her car, she hitched her purse up on her shoulder and walked through the doors into the cool air conditioning. Enjoying the ambience of the place, she walked slowly back to the romance and mystery sections.
Completely engrossed in her task of selecting books, she didn’t realize someone was behind her until she heard a deep voice ask, “May I help you find something?”
Startled, she turned around and found herself face to chest with none other than Logan Drake. Looking up into his smiling eyes, she tried to muster an honest smile.
Realizing something was wrong, he looked at her in concern. “What’s wrong Sienna?”
She shook her head, unable to gather her thoughts enough to make a coherent sentence. What was she going to say? I’m fine, but I’m having your baby? Why did the damn man have to be in this particular bookstore today?
“Come on, let’s go sit down,” he said, leading her to a small sofa along one wall.
Once they were seated, he held her hand in his. He brushed a stray lock of hair back from her face.
“Will you please tell me what’s wrong? I know something’s bothering you, I can tell by the look in your eyes.”
Sienna sighed. “It’s a conversation best held elsewhere,” she said quietly.
Momentarily stunned, Logan raised both eyebrows and didn’t comment for a moment. “Do you want to go get some lunch?”
After a moment’s hesitation, she nodded. “Lunch would be nice.”
Pulling her to her feet, Logan led the way out of the store and down the street to his car. Once Sienna was settled into the seat, he closed the door and walked around to the driver’s side.
Before starting the car, he glanced at her. What could she have to say that required they be alone? Was she breaking up with him? He’d thought things were going well between them. Had she found someone else?
Starting the car, he pulled away from the curb. “Is there any place in particular you’d like to eat?”
She shook her head. “No, but a sandwich sounds nice. So maybe a deli?”
“I think I know just the one.”
A few minutes later they arrived at a small deli with a large patio area. The back corner of the patio was deserted so Logan asked to be seated there. He figured it would give Sienna the privacy she needed for whatever news she had to tell him.
Once their food and beverages had been ordered, he decided to take the bull by
the horns, or in this case, the redhead by the hands.
Gently holding her hands, he looked into her eyes. “There was something you needed to tell me?”
She nodded, miserable and suddenly more nauseous than ever before. She nervously chewed on her lower lip, uncertain what to say. How do you tell a man that you’re only pretending to be engaged to that you’re going to have his baby?
Clearing her throat she decided to take the direct approach. “I’m pregnant.”
Logan stared at her. “You’re pregnant?”
She nodded. “I didn’t do it on purpose,” she assured him.
