“What do you think, Anthony?” Gabe asked. “Should we make our little submissive come? I’d say she’s earned an orgasm.”

Gabriel smiled as Audrey’s eyes popped up with excitement. She behaved and kept her mouth on him, but she nodded as she sucked him.

Oh yeah, his girl had a bit of brat in her.

Anthony shifted and began rubbing her clit. Audrey was forced forward, further down on Gabriel’s cock, and he knew he was done for.

“Audrey, baby, come for us,” he murmured. That was all the encouragement Audrey needed. Gabriel gripped her hair, forcing her head back a little so he could see her eyes as she came.

Watching her gorgeous self come undone sent him over the edge as well, and he exploded in her mouth.

He had never been so sated.

Anthony followed close behind the two of them and then they all lay on the carpet together with Audrey in the center.

“That was intense,” she murmured, cuddling closer to them. Gabriel and Anthony rolled so her back was to Gabriel’s front and her chest was to Anthony’s. Oh, she fit so perfectly between them. This was just what they’d been waiting for and it was just as wonderful as they hoped it would be.

“That was perfect, little human,” Anthony kissed her forehead. “What do you think, Gabe? Are you ready for round two?”

Gabriel chuckled. He wasn’t exactly a young dragon anymore, but Audrey brought the beast out in him.

“Soon,” he said. “That was so hot, baby. I’m going to remember this night forever.”

Audrey smiled. She looked from one man to the other, and without another word, they both kissed her cheeks, sealing her between them.

She had their hearts: now and forever.

  One month later

When Anthony and Gabriel led Audrey into The Dungeon, she didn’t know what to expect. She wore a thin, floor-length black gown and her hair was up in a loose chignon. They had chosen her attire and even picked out her makeup. Though her first instinct was to ignore them, she had to admit that they had great taste.

She felt like a dragon queen.

The crowds parted as they led her through the reverently silent dungeon to a place of honor on the main stage. As soon as they climbed the steps, she realized what they had done. She looked around at the room and saw it.

  Her work.

“I thought it was fitting,” Anthony whispered.

The back wall of The Dungeon was lined with black-and-white photographs Ashley had taken and painstakingly edited. There were photos of Gabriel and Anthony in various stages of undress. There was one of Gabriel with his wings out. There were even several boudoir shots she had taken of Janae as a gift for Emerson.

“We got their permission,” Gabriel whispered. “And several club members have requested that you take pictures of them, too. When you do, provided you want the task, we’ll fill the rest of the walls with your art.”

Her eyes tears up. “You shouldn’t have,” she whispered. Waves of belonging filled her. She was finally home. She was finally where she belonged. In between these two men, she had found a family that understood and accepted her even when she was wrong, even when she made mistakes, even when she was dumb.

“And now,” Anthony said, his voice loud enough to be heard over the crowd. “It’s time for the ceremony.”

She knew what they were going to do. She had read about it many times. They were going to collar her. They were going to mate her. They were going to promise to be hers for all of eternity.

In some circles, collaring a sub was seen as even more permanent and life-altering than getting married. Audrey couldn’t believe it was finally happening to her.

“Please kneel,” Anthony said to Audrey, and she dropped to her knees. She didn’t bow her head, though. It might not be proper, but she was much too excited. She looked out at the crowd and smiled brightly. Several dragonmen clapped. A couple of human women cheered.

She saw Jasmine and Victoria in the front row, smiling at her. Somewhere, Lindsey was in the crowd, as well. Even Theodore would be here tonight with his mate, excited to see Audrey truly accept her men.

“Audrey,” Gabriel spoke first, and she turned to him. “I promise to love you. I promise to cherish you. I promise to delight in you. You make me want to be a better man. You make me feel like I’m flying all of the time, like there’s nothing between me and the rest of the world. You make me feel invincible. I want to make you feel the exact same way. Please, will you accept this token of my love?”

She nodded as he held out a beautiful silver cuff. So it wasn’t a collaring ceremony. It was a cuffing ceremony. It was just as well. She had two wonderful men to love her. Wasn’t it fitting that she would have two beautiful cuffs to reflect that adoration? She watched Gabriel attach the silver to her arm and she spotted several sapphires that sparkled in the dim light.

She knew it was his birthstone. How thoughtful.

Audrey turned to Anthony, who also held a silver cuff in his hand.

“There is nothing more important to me in this world than family,” he said. “Audrey, you are my family. With you by my side, there’s nothing I cannot do. With this cuff, I promise to love you. I promise to cherish you. I promise to care for you with all the love of a husband to his wife, with all of the love of a Dominant to his submissive. With this cuff, will you take me as yours?”

“I will,” she whispered, and Anthony gently attached the cuff to her wrist. His had rubies in it. She looked at her sparkling wrists which now let the whole club know exactly which dragonmen she belonged to, and her heart soared.

“I don’t have anything to give you,” she whispered suddenly.

“You’ve given us the best gift of all,” Anthony said. “Your love.”

She stood then and the crowd cheered as both men came forward to kiss the beautiful submissive. Gabriel kissed her first, then Anthony.

“I might not have anything physical to hand you right now,” Audrey whispered. Though the crowd was once again silent, she wasn’t sure if they could hear her. “But I will give you my submission, my love, and my heart. I will do my best to be honest and truthful with you in all things. I will be loyal. I will be passionate. I will be good to you and I will love you for all of my days.”

Once again, the men took turns kissing her, letting her know they accepted her vows with love.

She knew what was coming next before Anthony even said a word. This was the part she was nervous about, the part she wanted to negotiate.

“It’s tradition for us to consummate our relationship after the exchange of vows,” he told her.

“In front of everyone?” She whispered.

“Yes,” his eyes flashed, revealing his dragon side for just a moment. “In front of everyone.”

“But, Anthony,” she said, managing to keep her face straight. This was the Ace up her sleeve. It wasn’t that she didn’t want to have sex in front of a crowd, but there was someone specific she didn’t want to have sex in front of tonight. She had a feeling Anthony would feel the same way. “Your mother is here.”

“WHAT?!” The dragonman roared and whipped his head around to the crowd. Sure enough, in the back row, his mother was standing in her Sunday best, holding what was definitely an alcoholic beverage. She waved one gloved hand up in the air at her son.

“Congratulations, dear! I wouldn’t miss this for the world!”

Anthony frowned at Audrey. “You invited her, didn’t you?”

She nodded, shyly. “I thought tonight might be the night. I didn’t want her to miss her only son’s collaring ceremony.”

He sighed. “You told my mother about my sex club.”

“Well, to be fair, one of her bridge partners told her about it last year. I just told her the location.”

“You know she’s never going to let me live this down, right?”

  “I know.”

She snuggled against him, knowing he wasn’t really mad, knowing there was n
othing she could do to ruin that perfect moment they shared.

Gabriel joined in their embrace and Audrey’s little family was complete.

Penny Alchemy stared at the group of dragons who were playing at The Dungeon. Everyone looked happy. Everyone looked content. Everyone looked excited to be there but her.

Why had she even come? To see what the fuss was about? To explore her darker side? To see if what happened in her romance novels was something that could happen to her?

She pushed her hair back and fidgeted with her corset and panties. Yes, she was out in the middle of the forest in the basement of a mansion and she was in freaking panties.

Emerson and Janae turned back to where she was hesitantly loitering by the entrance.

“Penny, are you sure you’re okay?” Janae asked softly, reaching for her friend. Janae was so thoughtful. She was always looking after other people. Penny knew this was one of the first times Janae had been out of the house since she had given birth to their son, Weston. She didn’t want to be the reason Janae wasn’t able to unwind or relax.

“I’m okay,” she said. “I just need a second. Can I have a minute to myself? I’ll meet you inside.”

Emerson’s eyes narrowed. “Penny, we explained the rules. You’re an uncollared sub. You can’t be alone at the club tonight.”

“Just for a moment, please?” She was so bad at this D/s stuff. “I promise not to let any big, bad dragons take advantage of me. I’m just a bit nervous and want to do some deep breathing techniques before I hyperventilate. It’s a bit embarrassing to do in front of people.” She was such a nerd, but it wasn’t a lie.

Emerson’s look suddenly turned tender. “Take all the time you need, Penny. We’ll be at the bar. Come straight to me when you come inside, okay? No talking to other dragonmen. Those boys are only after one thing.” He winked, then looped his arm through Janae’s and disappeared inside the darkened club.

Penny released a breath she didn’t know she had been holding and let herself lean back against the wall. What was she even doing here? She didn’t belong in a place like this. Penny was just a small-town girl at heart and here she was, trying to play with the big kids.

They had already missed the surprise cuffing ceremony because Penny had freaked out with question after question at home. She felt awful for making them late to the party. This was Emerson’s scene. These were his people. And her? She was just the dorky office manager who always had her nose stuck in a book.

She took a few deep breaths and stared at the door. She could do this. All she had to do was take one little tiny step forward, and then another, and then another. Before she knew it, she’d be inside.

“First time?” She turned her head at the voice. A man leaned against the wall. He was hidden in the shadows, but she’d know that voice anywhere.

“Miles?” She squeaked out. “You’re back?” Her heart leapt into her throat, threatening to choke her. Her stomach went crazy, but not with butterflies. No, these were more like young dragons who had just learned to shift.

He stepped forward and strode toward her. Miles was taller than she remembered and more muscular. He’d been gone for so long that his boyish innocence had faded and was replaced with a hardened exterior.

Penny wasn’t sure what she was going to do with this man who looked like he was about to eat her up, but she didn’t have to decide.

Before she could move, Miles grabbed her and pulled her against his hard body, then kissed her deeply. His tongue swept over her lips, then plunged inside her mouth. Penny didn’t have a chance to respond. All she could do was go with this. Miles had come back and he was here and so was she and they were kissing and outside of a sex club, too. Her mind spun and churned at a thousand miles an hour, but then he gripped her harder and her mind blanked.

She melted against his body and forgot everything she had been thinking, every question that had rushed through her head. Why was he back? How long had he been back for? Was he married? Where had he gone? She hadn’t seen him in years. Why had he returned now?

All of those thoughts vanished as his kiss overtook her.

“Dammit,” Emerson said from behind her. Penny managed to pull away from Miles long enough to turn around and see the clan leader frowning in the doorway. “I told you the boys here are only after one thing.”

“What are you doing here?” Penny managed to breathe out. Miles Ellwood had just returned from the end of the world and had kissed her. Her first night at The Dungeon, Dragon Isle’s hottest and only sex club, and Miles had freaking kissed her.

“It’s a long story,” he said.

“One we’re all very interested in hearing, I’m sure,” Emerson growled from the doorway. He had escorted both Penelope and his wife, Janae, to the club that night, and was more than a little displeased at catching Miles hands all over Penelope. “Unfortunately, Penelope has a prior commitment.”

  “Emerson, it’s-“

“No,” Emerson interrupted. “Am I or am I not your Dom for the evening?” He stalked over and towered over her.

“I, um, I…” she looked from Emerson to Miles and back again. Two strong, Dominant males and they both had eyes on her.

“You either say your safe word and leave the club now,” Emerson told her firmly, “Or you come with me.”

“It’s okay,” Miles said. He reached out and traced her chin with a finger. “We can catch up later.” His eyes were full of promise. She was transfixed as she watched him, feeling him touch her, wanting more.

Penelope didn’t have a chance to speak because with that, Emerson picked her up and carried her through the doors into the club.

  What was she doing?

  What was she thinking?

Kissing Miles? After all this time? Was that really a good idea?

Not that he’d given her much of a choice, Penny silently reasoned with herself. The music in the club pounded in her ears as Emerson carried her to the center of the room. Unceremoniously, he dropped her down in front of Janae.

“What happened?” Janae asked. Penny noticed she was handcuffed to a chair.

“Why are you handcuffed?” Penny shrieked, reaching for her friend’s arm, but Janae just laughed.

“Like he’s going to leave a sub alone in the middle of a sex dungeon. Girl, come on.”

Penny frowned, but Janae was unhurt and undamaged. She had a lot to learn about this place, she realized. Maybe she didn’t fit in here, either. She looked around the room warily, wondering why she thought it would be a good idea to come.

Because you’ve been stuck inside the world of dirty romance forever, she silently thought. Because you wanted to actually have an adventure instead of moping over the boy who got away.

  “Drink?” Emerson asked.

  “Yes, please,” Penelope sai
d. “Anything is fine.”

“Fine,” Emerson said. He produced another set of handcuffs and quickly hooked Penelope to the same chair as Janae.

“Hey,” she started to protest, but stopped when Emerson raised an eyebrow.

“Want to try again?” He asked, not unkindly.

She gulped. They had talked about this. Penelope wasn’t a submissive. She never had been. She had never tried any of this dirty, naughty, wonderful stuff before.

Now she was being swept away in a world of lust, temptation, and excitement, and she was a little afraid she might drown.

She glanced down at the handcuffs, then back up at Emerson.

“Thank you,” she said quietly. “For keeping me safe, Sir.”

The words came out quietly, but Emerson nodded. Penelope wondered if he was going to tease her for calling him “Sir” here, but he didn’t. If anything, he seemed relieved she hadn’t argued with him. Even though Penelope wasn’t active in the lifestyle, she knew she was required to obey BDSM protocols while in the dungeon.

And part of that meant being polite to the Doms and Dommes because she herself was visiting as a sub.

Even if she wasn’t really a sub at heart.

She didn’t have to be submissive, she reasoned. Not everyone fit into a tidy little box of “sub” or “Dom.” Some people were just kinky, just curious. Maybe that was her. That could definitely be her.

Penelope stood next to Janae and glanced out over the room. Men and women filled the space. There was a commitment ceremony that night. Audrey had professed her undying love for two dragonmen: Gabriel and Anthony. Anthony owned The Dungeon and was an active member. Penelope sometimes did freelance work for him. She was happy he’d found a mate. She was happy he’d found someone who kept him safe and calm and relaxed.
