“She can handle her brother. It’s just a shame she doesn’t have his support.”

“Your sisters thought it was weird.” Logan kissed the back of Zach’s neck.

The ripple of desire ricocheted through Zach’s body. “I know, but they never tried to shame me about it.”

“With their parents dead, Chris thinks he has to protect her. But he can’t control her or even begin to touch her gifts. So he works the guilt. We have to be strong for her because the family bond isn’t something I want her to break.”

“No, of course not.” Zach didn’t want that either. “I can feel her tension, though. The closer it comes to Samhain, the worse it gets.”

“Maybe we should work extra hard to distract her tonight? She’ll be relaxed and clear for the morning.” Logan ran his hands down Zach’s chest, stomach, to his belt.

“Sounds like a plan.” Zach kissed Logan. He nibbled Logan’s lower lip, encouraging him to open his mouth to take his tongue.

The door opened, then closed. The men grinned.

“Hi, guys,” Nat said, looking at them. “Am I interrupting?”

“Not at all.” Zach slid from Logan’s arms. “We hope you like it.”

She gazed around the room, a smile blossoming on her full lips. “It’s like it was before. Almost exactly. You two did this?”

“We want you to feel at home. It is your home, always. We took the stuff down because it hurt to see it. We missed you so much.” Logan’s gaze was filled with longing and hope as she crossed the room toward them.

She hugged them both tight, then kissed them hard. “Thank you.”

“How was show-and-tell?” Zach asked, figuring he should change the subject before they all broke into tears.

“Interesting. Someone asked if I have any warts, which was funny. Then someone else asked if I was going to hell, and it got a little rowdy, but I handled it. Enough families around here believe in nature and the Goddess being connected to the harvest and all that. It’s a special town.” Her wide smile renewed Zach’s hope.

“Green Leaf just needs smart and strong witches like you to keep the tradition going,” Zach said.

“Subtle.” Logan gave Zach a little punch in the arm.

Zach chuckled. The squabbling days seemed to be behind them.

Nat kicked off her shoes before flopping on the sofa. “Please don’t start any deep conversation now. I’m talked out at a grade-school level.”

“Good, we weren’t really thinking about talking.” Zach reached for Logan’s shirt, then unbuttoned it slowly.

Logan began to help, and soon he was naked. Zach quickly stripped off his own clothing. He knelt down to suck on Logan’s cock before Natalie could jump in.

She eased onto her knees next to him anyway to share the thick, pulsing shaft.

Logan shifted slightly toward Zach, waggling a finger at her. “None for you until you’re naked.”

She stood, then shimmied out of her clothing. Her pale blue bra and matching thong hit the floor. Zach paused to stare. She was a goddess. A body created to tempt and please men. Returning to her previous position, she sucked Logan’s balls until he stepped back.

“We need protection.” Logan sighed. He left the room.

Zach kissed Natalie, enjoying her sweet taste. “He’s horny as hell.”

“And you aren’t?” She stroked his cock.

“I am, and I’m getting my way now.” He slid a hand into her curls, holding her close for a deep, rough kiss.

She moaned and clung to him. The triad was so much better, even sexually. The give-and-take worked so much better with all three in the mix. He’d never be able to explain that to Chris or even his own sisters.

Logan returned with the condoms and lube. He sat on the floor so he could suck Nat’s tits. Zach reached over and stroked Logan’s cock. Zach teased Logan’s member and watched his boyfriend savor the tender flesh of the woman they’d lived without for so long. After a few minutes, Zach slid protection on Logan’s dick, then added lube.

Nat’s eyes met Zach’s. She smiled, obviously knowing where that was going. Logan lay flat on his back next to the sofa so they had something to hold on to for support. Natalie straddled his hips, facing his feet and Zach. Slowly, she eased Logan’s erection into her ass. The gyrations of her body as she stretched herself coaxed a bead of precum from Zach’s cock. Logan spread her cheeks so she could take in more of him.

Nat sank down on the thick cock, taking it far enough to lean back on her hands and tilt her hips forward. Zach buried his face her pussy and tongued down over Logan’s balls as well to tease them both. As Zach lapped at her clit, Nat relaxed and wiggled her hips until she had all of Logan inside of her.

Zach grabbed protection, then slid it in place before he tested her with a finger. Wet and eager, she grabbed his finger.

  “Fuck me,” she moaned.

Her hips lifted slightly. Zach drove into her with a single stroke. He fucked her hard for a few minutes and then paused to enjoy throbbing of Logan’s cock deep inside her. When Logan pulled back, then filled her ass again, Zach matched his timing. They fucked her in unison, thrusting faster and faster, encouraged by her ecstatic moans.

Nat bit her lip as groans and gasps filled the room. Her hips rocked until the men drove harder. She froze, her eyelids fluttering as her head tilted back. Her mouth fell open as the ripples of her orgasm began to take her. She trembled—Zach felt her orgasm from inside her body.

  “She’s coming,” Zach said.

“Hell, yeah. Me too!” Logan shouted.

“Harder,” she panted, her hands gripping the sofa.

Zach fucked her, grabbing her shoulders, pulling her to him for added impact. She shrieked and bucked on the men, but drove herself right down on top of them. She wrapped her arms around Zach’s neck as he filled her, so close to his climax he couldn’t stop.

After another balls-deep filling, he ground into her pussy.

“Oh God!” he screamed, letting the wave of passion take him to climax. His body jerked as he reached out to touch his lovers. They needed to be together forever.

The jolt of pleasure subsided, leaving him ready for a nap, but he slid a hand between them. He wanted to watch her again. He alternately flicked and rubbed her clit.

Her nails dug into his neck as she moaned again. Then Zach rubbed harder until she whimpered for more. Finally, she lost it.

“Please, Zach.” Her body trembled. Her pussy tightened on him one last time.

“You’re so pretty when you come.” Zach kissed her hard.

She slumped back onto Logan, who cupped her breasts and kissed her neck.

“Maybe we should move this to the bedroom?” Logan suggested.

She nodded, obviously tired, but the smile on her face was radiant. Next time she’d have her way. Zach got off on giving her pleasure.

“Can you walk?” Zach asked. He held out a hand to steady her.

She swatted at him but missed. “I’m fine.”

“I may have to carry her,” Logan said with a low, sexy chuckle.

Nat tried to wake up several times on Halloween morning. Her nightmares left her restless as sleep kept pulling her back in. She dreamed nonsense. The headless horseman attacking the school scared her. A creepy old man snatching a child into his home when she came to trick-or-treat was a terrifying sight. All dreams. All fake.

When her eyes finally opened, she sat up slowly. She was alone in the big bed.

She glanced at the clock. It was nearly noon, and still she felt like she needed sleep. But until she meditated, there was no way she could get some peaceful rest. She closed her eyes, rested her palms on her thighs, then reached out with her mind. The town was calm.

But the dark spot was active.

Whenever she tried to pin it down, it jumped, or her visual of the town spun. Was he on the move, or was her brain trying to find something that wasn’t there yet?

  “None of th
at!” Zach said.

Her connection fizzled as she opened her eyes. “What?”

“You don’t meditate there. You need to eat first. Shower.” Logan pointed to the bathroom.

“It’s already noon. Why didn’t you wake me?” she protested, climbing out of bed.

“If you got the right vision while asleep, and we interrupted, we’d be in trouble. This was safe. If you want, we’ll make you a sandwich instead of breakfast stuff. Shower, food, and then you’ll have the strength to do what you need to do. You kicked me twice last night.” Zach playfully rubbed his ribs as if he were critically injured.

“Sorry.” She laughed, then hugged them before making her way to the bathroom.

“Don’t be sorry. I know it’s important to you, but jumping in without taking care of yourself, you’ll end up a mess and not able to help anyone else.” Logan closed the door behind her.

She ran the hot water, then stripped. For several moments she let the hot spray run over and recharge her body. Her stomach rumbled. She was famished. The men were right. If she ignored her body and wore herself down, she’d never have the strength to find the shadowy figure when he came into range.

Lathering and rinsing, she went head to toe thoroughly. Clean and refreshed, she dried off. The smell of eggs wafted from downstairs. So much for a sandwich—any food would do.

She slid on underwear, jeans, and a pink T-shirt. Nat didn’t want to look like the town psychic today. A nip in the air made her grab a red shawl from her closet.

Her path was becoming clearer. The danger emanated from a man, and he was in town. She could feel him. Fear gripped her for a second. Taking a deep breath, she tried to focus on the progress. She needed to find the dark element before he hurt anyone.

She knotted her hair back in a ponytail, then rubbed on some moisturizer. Not bothering with makeup, she headed downstairs and found a feast: eggs, bacon, and pancakes.

“Okay, we thought you might want breakfast. Or we can make you a BLT. The joys and versatility of bacon.” Logan winked at her from the stove.

“You two are amazing.” She hugged them in turn before Logan steered her into a chair.

“Eat. One big plate full before you go and try anything.” Zach set a mug of steaming black coffee in front of her. The white-and-blue mug matched the colors of the country-style kitchen. The tiles still gleamed as brightly as they had when she was a little girl.

Normally the coffee would be her first grab, but her stomach still churned from the nightmares. She went for a piece of buttered toast instead. Her appetite kicked in.

After eating enough for breakfast and a small lunch, she chose juice over coffee to wash it down.

She glanced at the newspaper one of the men had left on the table. Most people would believe her, but if she announced something, it might cause a panic. She’d made sure none of the coven sisters breathed a word. It was only her brother who doubted.

“You left your phone downstairs in the library.” Zach set it on the table.

“Has anyone called? Anyone said anything?” She checked for messages.

“Aunt Lorraine texted me to say she had a dark dream, but she couldn’t pinpoint anything specific.” Logan rubbed her shoulders, his strong hands kneading out the tension, muscle by muscle.

She paused to enjoy the confident touch. “I need to try.”

Zach looked at the clock on the wall. “School isn’t out for a couple of hours. Hopefully, you’ll learn something before the kids start roaming the streets tonight.”

“Assuming the bad guy is after a kid,” Logan said. Nat sighed as his thumb found a particularly sore spot.

Nat took the bottle of water Zach pulled from the fridge and offered her. “It is Halloween, but I can’t assume anything. I’m going in fresh.”

“Good idea!” Dishes clinked as Zach cleared the table.

They were trying so hard to help her. As much as she loved Randy and enjoyed Chicago, she never felt as safe and wanted as she did here.

She walked into the library, then set her shawl on the sofa. This was home and where she wanted to be.

Sitting on the floor, she stretched her back. She closed her eyes, then shook her arms and turned her head to relax more muscles. Quieting her brain about the future and the past, she focused on the present in her sleepy farm town. Samhain was here, and the veil between the living and the dead was thinnest on this day of the year.

“Please, Grammy, help me see it,” she whispered.

Grammy didn’t show up, but Nat felt her close by. Opening her mind, Nat breathed slowly and focused on danger in the town. A male took hold of her view. Suddenly she saw through his eyes. He felt proud as he watched a girl struggle against handcuffs. She was dressed as a witch and very scared. Nat tried to focus on the girl— she was about Laura’s age.

Nat concentrated on finding the girl’s location. Her arms were around a pipe of some sort. It could be any basement. When Nat tried to zero in on a more specific location, she only got the man’s goal to kidnap another little girl.

The vision went black. Nat opened her eyes. One girl was already taken. She jumped up, then ran to the kitchen. Her breath came in gasps as she tried to form words.

“I think she got something,” Logan said to Zach. He set down his coffee and stared intently at Nat.

“More than something. Get the car. We need to go to police station, now.” She snatched her phone off the table, then threw it into her purse.

Logan had the keys. Zach grabbed another bottle of water. On their way, she sat in the back of Logan’s luxury car with the window rolled down. Although the crisp fall air felt good, she concentrated on pinpointing where the sensation of evil was strongest. There was a lot of land in Green Leaf; it could take too long to conduct a traditional search.

She grabbed her phone, then dialed her brother’s number.

“Hi, Nat, we’re being careful and looking for strangers,” Chris said quickly.

“No, don’t hang up. You need to call the school and find out who didn’t show up today. They need to check with the parents to make sure they know their kid is absent. Someone took a little girl,” Nat said firmly.

“Nat, I love you. I know you mean well, but there is no report of a missing child,” he said.

“But one is. She’s dressed as a witch for Halloween. Laura’s age. Make the calls. What does that hurt?” Nat shot back.

“Fine, I’ll call. But I’m not starting a panic.”

“I’ll be there in five minutes,” she replied.

“Don’t come down here,” he said, a clear warning in his tone.

She hung up on him. No way was she letting this slip from priority. If they waited until the parents filed a report, the girl might be dead.

“You want to go by the school? Check on the girls?” Logan asked.

“No, straight to the police station. If we cause a panic, it’ll only make it harder. If the school can verify who wasn’t there, and then sort out who is accounted for at home, we can figure out what’s going on. We don’t know who we’re looking for yet.” Nat hoped the school would retake attendance, just to be sure.

“We’re here,” Zach said, pulling into an empty parking space.

Nat unlatched her seat belt, then exited the car. She walked quickly, refraining from breaking into a run. If she freaked out, others would too. The guys caught up. Zach opened the door for her.

  “Thank you,” she said.

Unlike most days, Nancy was on the phone, taking notes. The mood was tense.

Chris paced the back room. When he spotted her, he motioned them to come back.

“What do you know?” Nat asked, a sick sense of dread pooling in her gut.

“The school checked on all the kids who were called in sick. Two girls came up missing. One stayed home sick. A neighbor was supposed to look in on her. The school called the house, no answer. The parents called the neighbor and then went to check. The girl was gone. The parents should be here soon
.” Chris crumpled up a piece of paper. Clearly frustrated, he flung it in the trash.

“So maybe I’m not so crazy?” Nat asked.

“I never said you were crazy.” He sighed, then pinched the bridge of his nose as he closed his eyes.

“Maybe this guy grabbed another girl. What happened to the second child?”

“We don’t know. She was there on the bus and for attendance. Then she didn’t come back from lunch. I’m having both sets of parents come down to talk to me. You need to be quiet.” He wagged a finger at her.

  “Right.” She rolled her eyes.

“Don’t stir things up until we know what happened,” Chris said.

“I won’t, but don’t ignore that I can help. These aren’t teens ditching school.”

“Where are the girls, then?” he asked, spinning on his heel to face her.

“I didn’t get a location. One, the girl is dressed up like a witch, and she’s handcuffed to a pipe. It looked like an old basement.” She rubbed her temples, hoping for a breakthrough.

“Could be anywhere in town,” Chris said, glancing at a map of the town hanging in a glass case on the wall.

Two couples rushed into the room.

“Where’s our daughter?” Mrs. Smith demanded, her voice high, her gaze frantic.

“Everyone just calm down. The girl that was home sick?”

“That’s us!” One mother stepped forward as her husband tried to comfort her.

“Okay. Mr. and Mrs. Smith, I want you to talk to my sergeant over there.” Chris pointed to the conference room. “Give him whatever information you can. It’s Halloween, and kids do crazy stuff. Could all be a trick. Don’t worry until we check out every possibility.”

The couple followed the other officer.

Mrs. Warner stared at Natalie. Of course, Nat knew them. Tessa and Brad Warner were lifelong residents. They had a daughter about eight years old. “Nat, you know something. Please tell me.”

“Tessa, I don’t know anything for sure, except there’s a dangerous man in town, and he has one girl.” Nat shook her head. “I don’t know who or where, exactly.”
