“Come on, there is more,” he said grabbing her hands. They walked around the entire building before going into her office. When she got to the office door, Tracy stood back, and she rubbed her hand across her nameplate. When he opened the door, she almost had a heart attack when everyone yelled surprise.

“Oh, my God,” she said and started to cry. She was overwhelmed and couldn’t believe that she finally had her own agency. They popped open a bottle of champagne and filled everyone’s glass. They had to open more than one bottle because everyone was there including November’s parents.

“I’d like to make a toast to the most brilliant, talented, and beautiful woman I know,” Tracy said. “Mrs. November Shareese Stone. I’m so proud of you, baby, and I wish you more success than your opponent Kendell Gordon, who’s going to be needing a job when you blow every other advertising company in Chicago out of the water,” he said, joking, and they all laughed. “I’m a better man today because of you. Congratulations, my love,” he said, and everybody clinked their glasses.

  “Speech, speech, speech,” everyone yelled.

“Wow, y’all. I wasn’t prepared for this, and I . . . I can’t began to say how happy this makes me. I am so blessed to have family and friends to love me so much and be there for me like everyone has. Jonathan and Kendell, thank y’all so much for putting up with me when I was stressing out of my mind with business and my personal issues. Y’all been there for me, and I wanna say thanks, guys. Thanks to my parents for just encouraging me when I thought no one cared. And, April, you’ve been wonderful to me keeping my kids when I had to run all over the place. Tracy, I know we’ve had it rough, but I’m glad that we are where we are today, and that’s together. I’ve learned that we can accomplish anything as long as we are together.

“To my new staff, I look forward to working with you guys, and we are gonna kick some butt; however, Kendell, don’t worry, because we may be the last two agencies standing,” she said and winked at him. “I just want everyone to know that this is just the beginning of the best days of my life and I am so happy to be able to share this with you. Again, thank you, everyone,” she managed to say without crying.

They ate, drank, and acted as if they were in a club celebrating. After everyone was gone and the place was all cleaned up, Tracy locked the door after the cleaning crew and catering service.

November exhaled. “Wow, what a day,” she said.

  “Yep, but a good one.”

  “You can say that again.”

“So, how do you feel, Mrs. Stone?” he asked pulling her into his embrace.

“Like I’m the luckiest woman on earth. I mean, everything I wanted and dreamt of is now reality.”

“Well, good things take time, and all I see in your future are good things.”

“Oh, really? How can you be so sure?”

“First, because you are an extraordinary woman. You are a good mother and a perfect wife. Nothing but good things are in store for you, and I’m going to be right there with you all the way. I got your back one hundred and ten percent.”

“Well, my dear, I plan to hold you to that,” she said, and they kissed.

“Now that we are all alone, Mrs. Stone, how about we break in this here office like we broke in our new house?”

“Oh, yes, that’s what I’m talking about,” she said, and they made love in every room in the building.

On their way home, they exchanged glances and knew that, from that moment on, they were unbreakable and there was absolutely nothing they couldn’t survive. Love cured it all.
