“This is me,” he grunted while he kept fucking me. “This is what I want.”
“Show me… Show me who you are, Hunter.”
He tightened his hand around my throat slowly. My mouth opened and the breath I had started to disappear. I struggled to breathe. Even my gags were cut off when his grip tightened.
As his hand squeezed, his thrusts got even harder. I reached up and put my hands on his shoulders, digging my nails into his skin as if it would somehow help me.
The look in his eyes was like nothing I’d ever seen. An uncontrollable lust that turned me on even more. The orgasm I had earlier continued to stir inside of me as another one came closer.
Fuck… Oh, fuck…
I could only think it. My mouth hung open but nothing came out. Hunter squeezed my throat before suddenly moving his hand away.
I gasped a deep breath and the air rushed into my lungs. I had only a moment to catch my breath as he suddenly raised me up into his lap.
“Fuck…”
I groaned when he cradled me in his embrace. His cock impaled me. I looked into the eyes I’d seen this entire time.
Bodies sweaty. Breaths deep. Muscles aching. We were both a complete mess as we kept pushing one another. I grinded my hips against him, meeting his thrusts in a loud union of flesh clapping together.
“Let me see the real you, Faye.”
“This is the real me… This is the real me… The me you’ve always fucking wanted…”
He reached around my head and undid the bun my hair was in. My hair fell down and started swaying to the rhythm of his thrusts. Some of the strands fell over my face but I could still see him staring back at me as I rocked myself in his hips.
“I can’t take it,” I sighed. “Hunter…”
“I’m gonna come… I’m gonna fucking come…”
“Come inside of me… Give me your fucking cum… I want it…”
“You want it, Faye?”
“I want it. I want you to fucking come inside of me…”
There it was. That smirk of his. That confident smile that told me he had me right where he wanted me.
He gripped my hair tight in one hand and held me in place as he started driving himself into me so hard and fast that I couldn’t even move.
“Oh, fuck! Hunter!”
My head fell back as he tugged on my hair. My face pointed to the ceiling, my mouth hung open as another orgasm built in my core. I lost control when it slammed into me again.
I shook in Hunter’s embrace. The warm feeling of my climax spread through me again. It felt so wonderful but exhausting all at the same time. I used whatever strength I had left to brace myself.
“Faye…”
He grunted my name as he worked his cock into me like a piston. Suddenly, he stopped. His cock planted inside of me, Hunter trembled violently. His dick pulsed with a thick dose of cum. I tightened around him, squeezing as much out of him as I could. Hunter filled me up with throb after throb of his seed.
The pleasure subsided and my senses returned to me. I was grateful because I imagined my body couldn’t take much more.
I collapsed into his arms. He cradled me, holding me close while I rested my head on his shoulder. We sat in the center of his bed. I enjoyed this moment with Hunter even though I was wet with sweat and my muscles ached.
“Are you sure this is where you want to be?” I whispered.
“I want to be with you. No matter where it is.”
“Just promise me one thing.”
“What’s that?”
“Don’t ever leave me again.”
I looked into his eyes and saw everything we’d been through. All of the years that went by when we were away from each other. I knew he felt the same way I did. Now we were here, together. Nothing could take away what we had now.
“I’m not ever leaving you. Never again.”
Chapter 28
HUNTER
“Now, here’s the thing…”
Sebastian leaned back in his seat, his arms crossed. He was smiling but not because he was in a good mood. The asshole was obviously hiding something.
Roman… Well, he never seemed to smile around me. I figured my explanation could put him in a better mood.
“…When they said 1.2 million, it’s not actually 1.2 million. There’s taxes. And that’s not something I can lie about. This money wasn’t made under the table like I’m sure you fellas are more familiar with. Uncle Sam is gonna take his cut, no matter what.”
“Death and taxes…” Sebastian sighed.
“That leaves me with about half.”
“Six-hundred thousand. If my math is right, 60-percent is about 360,000.”
“That’s about right. But you and I both know I can’t give you guys more than a quarter of a million dollars.”
I couldn’t help but laugh at them. Shit, it was comical just hearing me say it.
“That much money for a 10,000 dollar investment? I mean… Come on!”
I laughed harder and harder the more that I thought about it. Sebastian didn’t seem to be amused though. And Roman… Well, he looked even more pissed.
“That was the deal, Jacobson,” Sebastian said. “Sixty-percent and we save your life.”
“Be honest though,” I said. “You gave me that money but you never expected me to win. It was a small investment. You figured with that little amount of risk for a big payout, it was worth it. I’m the one who put everything on the line.”
“That’s why you get to keep 40-percent of what you made.”
“What part of 1.2 million not being 1.2 million didn’t you understand?”
Roman got up from his seat and pressed his hands down on the table.
“Listen here,” he said. “You made a deal for 60-percent. Period. It wasn’t a matter of how well you did or didn’t do. That was the deal.”
“And now I’m changing it,” I said.
Roman kept glaring at me.
“Calm down,” Sebastian said as he put a hand on Roman. “Jacobson knows better than to try and screw us.”
Roman eventually took his seat. I’d dealt with guys who wanted to kill me before, so seeing an angry biker wasn’t something that was gonna make me uncomfortable.
“I’m a fair man,” I said. “You seem like fair men, too. I’ll tell you what I’m doing with the money. And if you don’t think it’s fair, you can do what you want.”
“Fine,” Sebastian said. “What are you doing?”
“There’s a little girl. Her name is Alice. She’s… a friend of mine. She needed surgery to remove a tumor. Without insurance, those bills are pricey. I’m using the money to get the best medical care possible.”
“Medical care isn’t that expensive.”
“You’re right. Some of the money is going to another friend of mine. Faye. You might’ve seen her here before.”
“The woman you were with. What kinda poor soul would fall for a man like you?”
“Ha!” Roman said suddenly.
Sebastian finally got a chuckle out of his stone-faced buddy. I rolled my eyes and sighed.
“Anyway,” I said. “Faye is gonna use that money to go back to school. Not a bad way to spend a dollar.”
“Keep going,” Sebastian said as he motioned with his hand.
“I had to pay my debt to Takahashi. I gave him a little extra.”
“Extra?”
“Just to make sure that everything is water under the bridge. Besides, you’d agree that it wouldn’t hurt to be on good terms with a Yakuza member. Especially when someone like Alvarez saw your faces in the lot that night. He won’t try anything with someone like Takahashi looming over him.”
“Alice. Faye. Takahashi. If I’m doing the math in my head, there’s still a lot of money left over. Money that you could be using to pay with your half of the deal.”
“That’s right. But I figured I would do something with your half that you should’ve been doing anyway.”
“And what’s
that?”
I paused for a second. Letting the anticipation build made it funnier than it already was. Of course, the two bastards in front of me weren’t smiling about it.
“I donated it,” I said.
“You donated it?” Sebastian said.
“That’s right. I figure if I’m gonna be hanging around Ivory a little longer, I might as well get in good with the townsfolk. A nice, big sum went straight to the Ivory shelter for the homeless. I met a guy from there when I first came to Ivory. I thought I’d help him out.”
Roman sat in his seat, drilling a hole through me with his stare. Sebastian pressed an index finger in his temple like he was trying to figure out what to say.
“All right,” he said. “All of this money you’re throwing around like candy. Is there any leftover?”
“Plenty. With that, we can honor the original deal, 60-40.”
“And how much is that?”
“You’ll get 100 even.”
Sebastian paused before he said anything. He stared at the table like he was thinking hard about it. The two bikers both turned and looked at one another.
“Not bad for a 10,000 dollar investment,” I said. “You just made 10 times what you originally gave me. Or you can kill me and not get a dime.”
They didn’t have a choice. I had them right where I wanted them. As intimidating as they might have been, there was no reason that I wouldn’t be able to get through to them.
“What do you think?” Sebastian said.
“That’ll do a lot for Hades,” Roman said. “Murph would be happy about making that kind of money.”
Sebastian sighed and shook his head at me.
“You bastard.”
I laughed at his comment, knowing that I’d won. Sebastian rolled his eyes at me but there was still a smile on his face. Roman smiled, too, though he still looked like he wanted to kick my ass.
“We got a deal,” Sebastian said.
He held his hand out for me to shake. I held a finger up.
“There’s one other thing,” I said.
“Now what?” Roman said.
I looked at the two men and gave what I was considering a bit more thought. Even though I’d gone over it in my head so many times, I gave myself one last chance to think it through. Looking at the two men before me, I knew that it was the right decision.
“I’ve met a lot of clubs before,” I said. “I’ve been around enough MCs to know what it’s like. You two… You’re something different. You seem to have a little more respect… for everything.”
“We’ve been through a lot,” Sebastian said. “The Devils haven’t been around for a long time but we’re trying to make a name for ourselves. We’re trying to establish a place for us right here in Old Town and the rest of Ivory.”
“I know. That’s why I wanna be a part of it.”
Sebastian arched an eyebrow at me. I kept waiting for him to say something but he didn’t.
“What did you say?” Roman said.
“You heard me,” I replied. “There are only two of you. I figure you could use another man. Patch me in and I’ll rep the Devils the same as you. If I’m gonna live in Ivory, I need someone to watch my back.”
“And why would we need someone like you?” Sebastian said.
“Because I just hustled you out of 200,000 dollars and you took it.”
I grinned as wide as I could. I knew there was nothing they could do about it.
“Roman?” he said.
“Well… Murph would probably like him. You don’t find hustlers like him every day.”
“We don’t just hand the patch out to anybody,” Sebastian said to me. “It’s something special. If you’re a Devil, it means more than a piece of fabric or having a bike or drinking at our clubhouse. We represent something more than I can explain. Are you sure that’s something you’re up to?”
Sebastian gave me more to think about.
I went over everything in my head. All of the memories from years ago I thought I’d buried came back to me.
“When I was younger, I was always looking for a place,” I said. “Some place where I felt like I belong. I left home without telling anybody outside of one person. I’ve been searching for years. Spent some time locked up, too. I never found where I belonged. But this…”
Sebastian and Roman were staring right at me, listening to every single word I was saying. It only made me more confident that I was making the right decision.
“…This right here… I understand what it means. You’re an MC with two members. There’s nothing wrong with that. I figure it’s because you’re picky. That’s a good thing. A thing I wanna be a part of.”
They gave each other one last glance and agreed without saying anything.
“All right,” Sebastian said. “You wanna rep the Devils, rep the Devils—”
“And none of that prospect shit. I’m in. Full patch. No bullshit.”
Sebastian rolled his eyes at me.
“We got a deal, Devil?” I said.
I got up from my seat and stuck my hand out. Sebastian gave me a firm handshake.
“Deal.”
Epilogue 1
HUNTER
A few days later…
The New Devils patch was simple. Just an unassuming devil logo with the words ‘motorcycle club’ emblazoned underneath it. With as many MCs that were in town, it was hard to tell who was riding with you. But I knew that it wouldn’t take me much longer for me to get used to what I was looking at.
I turned the kutte around and looked at the patch in front of it. Underneath it was something else.
“What’s this?” I said.
“What’s what?” Sebastian responded.
“This.”
I pointed at the patch on the chest.
“Joker?” I said.
He and Roman looked at one another. They had these little, sly, annoying smiles on their faces like a couple of schoolgirls.
“It’s your road name,” Sebastian said.
“My road name, huh?” I said.
“That’s right,” Roman said. “You’re a real joker, Joker. Don’t you think it’s fitting?”
“You assholes weren’t gonna ask for my input?”
“You don’t get any input, Joker. You are who you are.”
“Right… And who are you? You don’t got a patch on your chest.”
“That’s because I’m just Roman Rock.”
I turned to the club president, who still had that same smug smile on his face.
“Venom,” I said. “How’d you get a name like that?”
“It’s a long story,” Sebastian replied. “Maybe I’ll tell you about it one day, Joker.”
The two of them laughed at one another. I rolled my eyes and sighed, knowing that there wasn’t anything I could do about it. I let them have their moment while I examined my kutte.
“Hey,” Sebastian said after he finally calmed down. “Listen. I still meant what I said to you the other day. You wear this patch, it means something. You represent something that a lot of men have wanted to wear. It’s special. Wear it with pride. Wear it with honor. You treat it with respect and it’ll do the same for you.”
Sebastian was staring at me with a seriousness that was clear. It reminded me of everything I’d gone through.
I was one of three men in the clubhouse meeting room. All of the shit it took to be here… I wasn’t about to take it for granted.
“This is the responsibility I need,” I said. “For myself. For the people I care about.”
“As long as you wear that and treat it with respect, there’ll always be someone who has your back,” Sebastian said.
I gave him a nod.
“Turn around,” he said.
I turned my back to him and raised my arms up. He put the kutte on me and I turned back to face him. I zipped the vest up and exhaled a deep sigh through my nose.
“You’re patched-in,” he said.
I looked down and exam
ined myself.
“Shit’s strange,” I said. “I’ve seen so many people wearing patches… Never thought I’d wear one myself.”
“Everybody wants to patch in because they think it’s cool,” Roman said. “Assholes trying to show off because it’ll get ‘em some pussy. Go to Finn’s and you’ll see nothin’ but a bunch of big shots who think they’re better than everybody else because some club president wanted to collect some club dues off of him.”
“I still gotta pay club dues?” I said.
Roman and Sebastian rolled their eyes at me.
“The clubhouse makes a lot of money,” Sebastian said as he patted me on the shoulder. “You want a piece of it, you gotta do your part.”
“Clubhouse, huh? I bet you two got more business deals line up. You ain’t a one-percenter unless you got something goin’ on under the table. What’s up?”
They didn’t say anything. I kept waiting before it finally dawned on me.
“Aw, shit,” I muttered. “You guys are legitimate? With the cops in this town, can you imagine the shit you’d get away with? Don’t fuckin’ tell me that—”
“We take business opportunities when they come,” Sebastian cut me off. “Just like when we saved your ass. A guy like you shouldn’t have trouble finding opportunities. Even if it’s just a card game with high-rollers you heard about.”
“You already got enough money to last you a long time,” Roman said. “The MC will get another opportunity before it runs out.”
“Shit… No wonder you two patched me in so fast.”
“We patched you in because you understand how important it is to have someone watch your back,” Sebastian said. “And we always will.”
Sebastian held his hand up to me. I shook it and he brought me in for a tight hug. Roman did the same.
“Welcome aboard,” he said as he patted me on the back.
We walked back into the clubhouse together. Hades wasn’t much to look at but there were still people all over the place.
“Make yourself comfortable,” Sebastian said. “Get used to your surroundings.”
“I’d be a lot more comfortable if you renovated this place,” I said.
