Chris released Gram and beamed at her. She wiped her eyes and said, “I have so much to tell you.”
Gram patted Chris’s arm. “Never you mind. We have all kinds of time for that now.” She reached for Mary Jo and pulled her close in a hug.
Chris wrapped her arms around the two of them. “I love you both so much,” she said. Her soul had found peace at last.

About the Author
Laurie Salzler holds a degree in Natural Resources Conservation and Outdoor Recreation. She has worked with and around animals all her life, including several years in the equine industry at training and breeding facilities in New York, Pennsylvania, and Michigan. She is an avid outdoor enthusiast, whose activities include horseback riding, hiking, snowshoeing, dog sledding, and photography. One of her favorite activities is walking with her pack of canines. Laurie lives in western New York with her partner and their five dogs, four horses, and numerous other critters.
A Kiss Before Dawn is her first novel, and she is currently hard at work on several more stories.
