Syn: Sex Is Syn, Love Is Pain Page 17

by J Peach

“Nigga, where the fuck is my car and my damn purse?” I snapped at dude that was with Parker earlier. His head reared back and he looked me over.

“I left that thang back in yo neck of the woods. Can you close the door now?” He didn’t seem fazed by me at all, he even leaned out of the car to spit before leaning back in his seat.

“Y’all, I’m about to go to jail. Don’t worry about me, stay where y’all at.”

“No, Ang—” I hung up the phone, ignoring the girls’ protest.

I turned to the dude that had let me use his phone. “Thank you. Is this your car?” I asked him.

He nodded. “Yeah, that’s me and it’s cool.”

Giving him an apologetic look, I apologized. “I’m so sorry, I really am,” I told him truthfully, feeling slightly bad. But feeling bad wasn’t going to stop me from doing what I planned on doing.

Quickly, I reached into the car and grabbed the chrome handle that was sticking out from beneath the armrest.

With the gun in my hands, I cocked and aimed it.

  Chapter 15

  Angel

“I need to borrow yo car. You get out because I will shoot you.” Dude in the car looked surprised before feeling his self.

“Give me my gotdamn gun,” he snapped, quickly hopping out of the car.

  Damn, he’s big!

“I’ll mail it to you,” I glared hard at him. Ignoring what I said, he walked toward me anyway. Moving back, I shot by his foot. “I swear to God I will shoot yo ass. This time I missed on purpose, next time I won’t.” The look of shock on his face had me almost losing my serious composure.

“Bitch, is you crazy? You gon’ shoot at me in a gas station?” He snapped at me. “You tryna blow us the fuck up!”

He’s seriously gon’ call me a bitch while I got a gun pointed at him?

“Nigga, where the fuck yo gun at?” He asked his friend.

Dude pointed to the car and then looked at me. “Come on, sweetheart, you ain't even gotda do all this.”

“If I wanna get home I do. I'm sorry.” Slowly, I made my way toward the back of the Chevy to walk around it. I had no doubt that if I walked past the big dude that took my car he would have tried to grab me.

“Parker, come get yo damn girl,” dude yelled.

That had me putting more pep in my step as I quickly made my way to the driver side.

I hopped in the driver’s seat and put the car in drive. I started to hit the gas pedal, but the car didn’t move or roar. “What the fuck!” I wasn't thinking clearly, all I wanted to do was get far away from where I was. I hit the steering wheel in frustration before I pressed on the gas again, but nothing happened.

“She about to fuck yo shit up. Baby girl,” dude called, clapping his hands.

  “What?” I snapped at him.

He pointed to the keys. “It ain’t started. Baby, you gotda turn those keys back,” he instructed.

My mouth formed into an O as I realized it wasn’t started. “Thanks, now close the damn door!” As he closed the passenger door, mine came open. I pointed the gun at Parker. “You gonna leave me on the highway! Get yo ass back before I shoot you and enjoy it,” I threatened.

But just like his friend, Parker didn’t seem fazed. “Give me that gotdamn gun! Fuck is wrong with you?” Parker snapped, snatching the gun from my hand so fast I didn’t even see his hand coming. “Don’t you know they got cameras up here and yo stupid ass shooting? Get out the damn car!” He grabbed my arm and pulled me out of the car. He then slid the gun across the hood. “Go get that tape.”

I jerked away from Parker and turned to glare at him. “Don’t be pulling on me after this shit. The whole dancing thing, tell whoever you want but don’t fuck with me no mo! I‘m not about to deal with some psychotic ass nigga,” I snatched the car door open and got in, slamming the door behind me.

“Syn, don't be slamming my damn door,” Parker snapped.

“Fuck you!” I mumbled with an attitude.

“I’ight, I’mma see you niggas in about an hour,” Parker told them before getting in the car. He started it up and pulled off. “Were you really gon’ take Jason’s car?”

Looking at him, I rolled my eyes and turned my attention back out the window.

“So you gon’ ignore me?” He had the nerve to ask.

I didn't respond. Instead, I reached over and turned up the radio. Then I twisted to the side to look out of the window again. Suddenly, Parker jumped lanes and then pulled over to the side of the road.

“You gon’ put me out again?” I asked, opening the door.

“Man, close the damn door. Look, I ain’t with that hitting shit. Believe me, baby girl, I ain’t got no problem putting my hands on no bitch if need be. I’m tryin’ not to do that with you, but I ain’t gon’ be letting that shit slide. I understand you gotda get yo money. I’m the reason you missing out on yo grind so whatever you miss out on today, I’ll give you that then match it.”

A heavy sigh left my mouth and I rolled my eyes. “Parker, I don’t want yo money and don’t get too carried away with that bitch word. Just like you, I don't have no problem getting down with a nigga if need be. And size doesn’t matter.” As the last bit left my mouth, I looked him up and down, letting him know his size didn’t scare me. I’d still throw hands with him.

Parker took his hat off and then rubbed his hand over his head, laughing. “Yo ass gon’ make this shit hard, I can see that now. First, lose that gotdamn attitude, man. You ain’t scaring nobody and you ain’t gon’ do shit. Second, is you hungry? A nigga hungry as fuck.”

I couldn’t even begin to explain why, but a laugh left my mouth at the ending bit. “That’s a fuck’d up apology.”

Parker raised a brow before shaking his head. “What the fuck I’m apologizing for? Shit left both our mouths, so let that shit drop. Here,” he reached in the backseat. His arm came back up and he sat my purse in my lap. “Who’s Leon?”

My head quickly snapped in his direction. “A dude I mess with from time to time. Why?” Parker and I weren’t together so there wasn’t a point in lying.

“He been callin’. You need to kill whatever you got with dude. Let him know whatever thing y’all had going on is over.”

The messed up thing about what he was saying was that he was looking serious as hell. “No. When I’m ready to stop messing with him then I will. But as of right now…I’m not. Parker, don’t try to wave claim where it’s not needed, I’m nobody’s girl for that reason. I do what I want.”

Licking his lips, he glanced at me. “But I’m tryna make you my girl, tho.”

  This nigga is crazy.

It took everything in me not to smile at him as that stupid giddiness formed in the pit of my stomach. “You put me out on a highway, Parker. You left me out there. You didn’t even have the decency to throw me a phone, let alone a dolla. If I did date—which I don’t, I wouldn’t date you.”

Parker looked at me like I was stupid once I finished talking. “Are you fuckin’ stupid? Yo ass gon’ sit in my shit and tell me you ain’t gon’ date me when I gotda take you back to the crib? That’s what you sayin’, right?”

I nodded my head at his statement. “That’s exactly what I’m sayin’. What you gon’ do put me out again? I can catch a bus back home now or call my girls to come get me. It’s nothing.” Pushing the door open, I pointed out. Shid, I had my purse, all was good for me. “Do you want me to get out?”

Parker’s thick pink tongue slithered out and moved over his lips bringing my attention to his full set. “Hm,” he hummed before grabbing himself and squeezing.

My eyes dropped to his hand holding his dick.

“Close the door.” Parker’s talking had my eyes going to his. Our eyes locked for a second before he looked away. He put his hat halfway on the left side of his head, turned the music up, then pulled off with my door still open.

Mentally shaking myself, I hurriedly closed my door and let out a shaky breath as that nervous
feeling started to set once again in the pit of my stomach.

As he drove, I opened my purse, taking out my rattail comb. I then let down the sun visor to fix my hair. After combing through my hair, I took out my light pink lip gloss and applied a coat to my lips, giving them a shine. Rubbing my lips together, I then got my black lip liner and traced the rim of my mouth. Once finished, I closed the sun visor and sat back in my seat. That’s when I started to ramble through my purse to find my phone and call the girls to let them know I was okay.

Just as I pulled up Peaches’ number, my phone started vibrating with Kim’s number flashing across the screen. Turning down the radio, I answered.

“Bitch, I was just about to call y’all. Don’t worry about me, I’m cool.” I informed, but the voice that replied wasn’t the one I was expecting.

“That's good to know. I been callin’ yo ass all morning, where the fuck you at?”

Pulling the phone from my ear, I looked at the screen. Sure enough it was Kim’s number.

“Why are you callin’ me from Kimmy’s phone? If I didn’t answer when you called then that meant I was busy and would’ve called you later,” I snapped at him. I was still kind of pissed about the fact his bitch jumped bad.

“I ain’t tryna argue with you.” The line went silent for a second and I heard a door close in his background. “Can I see you tonight? I been missing you these past few days. You gon’ come spend the night with me?”

Biting the inside of my lip, I rolled my eyes. “Tonight not yo bitch night to stay over? Or is she working late?” The only time I spent the night with Leon was if his bitch worked late or if it wasn’t her day at his place.

“Angie, baby, why you gotda go there? It don’t even matter, I wanna see you. Can I?” Leon asked.

Shaking my head, I let out a breath. “Leon, to be honest, after that shit happened with yo bitch, I don’t even wanna—”

He cut me off by talking over me. “Man, don’t even say that shit, Angel. You ain’t even have to take it there with her, telling her we fuckin’, all that wasn’t even necessary. I would’ve handled her ass for that shit she pulled but yo ass ain’t have to feed into that bullshit,” he stressed.

  Is he fuckin’ serious?

“Me? Nigga, I was walking away and she ran up on me. So what the fuck are you sayin’? I didn’t have to feed into her shit? Leon, boss, you’s a dog ass nigga and I’m not about to deal with you and yo bitches, period. You need to teach yo bitch her place—” I started to fuss at him, forgetting I was even in the car with Parker.

I sometimes zoned out when talking to Leon because it was a never ending cycle with him. Same shit, but a different bitch. It was starting to get stressful and that was crazy because I wasn’t even dating that nigga. Yet I felt like we're in a fuckin’ relationship.

“Jennifer know her place. What we do don’t got shit to do with her, what we do is us. She can’t tell me who I can fuck with and I fuck with you hard. Shit she say won’t change that, this us,” he explained.

Licking my lips, I was shaking my head the entire time he talked. “It ain’t no us, Leon. So don’t even go there, no matter how hard you fuck with me. At the end of the day you still got yo bitch and I’m not about to keep going back and forth with you.”

“What, she got you so scared that you don’t wanna fuck with me?”

I burst out laughing at his question. “Nigga, I fuck’d yo bitch up. You was there so you know this. Yo bitch don’t scare me so get on with that shit. Leon, you wanna keep fuckin’, but you steady getting different bitches. Jennifer ain’t the first bitch we done went through this with, every bitch you get it’s the same thing,” I was tired of being on the same old merry-go-round with him. I paused to shake my head before continuing.

“I done already told you that if you stop coming it ain’t no hard feelings. At the end of the day you still gon’ be my nigga, but the drama you bring ain’t worth it. Especially when the shit getting back to my girls who don’t know we fuckin’. That’s when it’s a big ass problem because now I gotda think of lies to tell them about why I done beat yo bitch ass and I gotda be answering question about us being together. I don’t like lying to them, you know this, so I can’t.”

“Baby, don’t do that, i’ight? Look, meet me at the crib in about two hours and we can talk face to face. What you decide, we’ll do from there.” That nigga thought he was slick. He knew just like I did that when I walked into his house there would be no talking.

“I can’t, I’m not even in town and I won’t be until tomorrow, hopefully. But shid, I’ll get up with you when I can,” I said, crossing my legs as I stared blindly out of the window.

“You ain’t in town? Where the fuck you at? Is you with a nigga? That’s why you ain’t been answering the phone?” Leon snapped into the phone. His voice was so deep and so loud that I had to pull the phone from my ear and even then I still heard him snapping as he yelled about fuckin’ up whatever dude I was with.

Automatically I looked to my left, catching Parker’s eyes.

  Oh, my God!

“Aye, I’mma call you back. I can’t really talk right now.” It was crazy I thought to say that then, when Parker had already heard everything.

“See, this that bullshit I be talkin’ about. Yo ass forever playin’ fuckin’ games. You going out of town with niggas now? Is you fuckin’ him?” My mouth opened then closed. “Angel, is you fuckin’ this nigga?” Leon’s loud voice came through the phone line.

Not being able to stop myself, I laughed. “If I am, so what? Nigga, you got a bitch. You’re not my dude, so it shouldn’t matter who I’m fuckin’,” I said with a shrug.

“Angel, you a dumb ass bitch. Fuck you…” Leon trailed off and I could hear loud knocking in his background.

“Leon, who you on the phone with?” My mouth quickly formed into an O before I slowly mumbled out a ‘wow’.

“Don’t worry about it, I’ll be out in a minute,” Leon responded before I heard a bang like a door was being slammed shut.

“Wow, Leon. Don’t tell me that was yo bitch. Yo bitch is there and you sneak off to call me? What the fuck is wrong with you? Don’t even say my name because I bet that bitch standing at the fuckin’ door listening. You got yo bitch around my girls knowing her ass talks to much! Then you call me while she’s around,” I was dumbfounded. “Why would you even have yo bitch around my people, tho? You real reckless, I swear to God. Bye, Leon.” I was through messing with him. “When I get back, if I wanna talk to you then I’ll call you. Other than that, don’t call me.”

Not waiting on his reply, I hung up, quickly shooting the girls a message letting them know I was good and with Parker. Then I turned off my phone. “Stupid ass mothafucka,” I mumbled to myself, not believing that the nigga had his bitch around my girls.

“That nigga gon’ be a problem, I see that,” Parker suddenly said, making me look at him. “How long you and dude been going at it?”

Shrugging, I thought on it. “A year or two before I started fuckin’ with you. So about nine years, I think. If we move this thing between us outside the club, I hope it ain’t the same bullshit—” I was in the middle of saying, but my words faded as Parker hopped out the car.

  Rude ass nigga.

“You coming? I told you I was hungry.” He closed the door and then started walking to this little rinky dink diner.

Grabbing my stuff, I got out. “You could’ve waited for me,” I called after him.

He stopped and looked at me. “Shid, I was waiting on yo ass while you took yo damn call. I ain’t ‘bout to starve over no kiddy bullshit.”

Smacking my lips, I jumped at him. “Bullshit. You was just being nosy. You wasn’t waiting on me, you were just waiting for my call to end,” I let out a deep sigh. “Look, Parker, I have nothing to hide or lie about. I’mma be real about everything and I expect the same from you. But of course that’s too much to ask of from a nigga because y’all asses always lie.”

  My ha
nd quickly moved away from the diner’s door as it shut, almost catching my fingers in it. I looked at Parker, I was ready to snap at him, but then I went stumbling back. Before I even knew what happened, Parker had pushed me into the brick building. As if knowing what I was thinking, he grabbed my wrists, holding them tight against my chest and squeezing them painfully.

“Don’t go comparing me to those weak ass niggas you fuck with. Just like you, I keeps it a hundred about everything I do. That slick ass mouth of yours gon’ get yo little ass hurt, so watch what the fuck comes out of it when you talkin’ about me.” His face was twisted into a mean mug as he stared down at me.

Angel, breathe... God he is sexy.

“I ain’t gotda watch shit. I say what I want when I wanna. Now let me go, you’re hurting my wrists.” Saying that only made him squeeze harder. So I jerked my wrists back, but he didn’t let go. Closing my eyes, I let out a shaky breath. “Parker, let me go. You’re not scaring me.” Is it crazy that a small part of me doesn’t want him to let go? That small part scared me. “Just simply turning me on something terrible,” that made him laugh and then he let me go.

“I ain’t fuckin’ with you, for real, tho. See that mindset you had when you was dealing with them niggas you’re used to dealing with? Don’t come this way with that same mentality. I ain’t shit like them.” Moving back, he pulled open the door to the diner. “Gon’ head.”

I mumbled a thanks as I walked past him. When I did, he slapped my ass. Before I could turn around and kick his ass, he grabbed me from behind, holding my arms at my side. “That shit hurt, let me go. I’m about to slap the shit outda you.”

Parker laughed while burying his head in my neck. “You ain’t gon’ do shit but what you doing now, talkin’,” he mumbled into my neck before biting into the skin while squeezing my ass.

“Parker, stop.” Laughing, I elbowed him, not really knowing what was funny or why that giddy feeling was waging a war in the pit of my stomach the tighter his arms held me. “Don’t be leaving no marks on me and stop, get yo hand off my ass.” He moved his hand from my butt then brought it around to my waist. Parker then began to lead us toward the back where the bathroom was. “What are you doing? I thought you were hungry”
