Syn: Sex Is Syn, Love Is Pain Page 20

by J Peach

“About a hunnit. This chain alone cost ‘bout seventy-five and I got this same cross and it ran me a good twenty-five maybe thirty thou. Shid, this were yo money went right here,” Mane explained, giving the chain back to Parker.

  “Chris,” was all Parker said.

Chris suddenly rocked the shit out of Riel before he quickly turned around. After he dropped the other two dudes, Chris then came back to Riel, grabbed the back of his neck and slammed his face into the table hard.

I jumped from the impact. At that moment, I wanted to tell Parker I was ready to go, but my voice had left. And all I could do was sit there frozen.

Through the entire thing, Parker was calm as ever. Once Riel’s face smacked hard on our table, Parker finished off his drink and then looked down at Riel.

“You fuck’d up, my nigga. Second chances ain’t shit I give. Niggas stealing from me is something I don’t tolerate. You can’t come back from that shit, my nigga.”

  POW!

“AHHHHHH!” A loud scream left my mouth at the sudden gunshot.

  Chapter 17

  Angel

Parker had pressed his gun to the side of Riel’s head and shot him.

Once that first shot rang out, two more followed. One shot for each of the dudes that had been with Riel.

  Oh, my God.

Riel’s lifeless eyes stared blankly at him for a second before Parker pushed him off of the table and onto the floor.

“Jason, go in the back and get me a rag,” Parker practically ordered and dude quickly went to the back to get what he asked for.

“Baby girl, you i’ight?” Mane reached across the table with a napkin and wiped my cheek.

Grabbing Mane’s wrist, Parker pushed it away from me. “Mane, don’t make me fuck you up,” Parker threatened.

“Chill, she had blood on her cheek. Parker, you know it ain’t shit like that. Shorty look a little freaked, tho. Gon’ get her outda here, we got this,” Mane suggested.

Parker glanced at me before shaking his head. “She’s good. Let’s get this shit cleaned up.” As he said that, Jason returned with a wet rag. Parker then took it and wiped the blood splatter from his hands and arms. He then looked me over, taking hold of my chin and wiped the side of my face.

It took everything in me not to freak out.

“Parker, y’all gon’ get outta here, we got this. We’ll call you when we finish,” Mane once again said, but Parker didn’t look like he was going for it.

“Yeah, gon’, P, get up outda here. Take shorty home and toss her about for a few hours before we meet at the spot,” Chris suggested while picking up Riel’s chain and the backpack. He held it out to Parker. “Here.”

Grabbing my arm, Parker pulled me out of the booth.

I’d seen people shot before, but usually when the shooter was about to shoot you got a sense of warning and you moved the fuck away. What just happened, there were no warning signs. I didn’t even see Parker pull his gun. He shot that boy right in the head carelessly. And my insides were so jittery, I was freaked because Parker shot him while I was beside him.

Between Riel and his dudes, they had two hundred thousand on them. So why not take their money, beat they ass, and let it be that?

“I don’t want that shit, give Stacy fifty and y’all can split the rest,” Parker said, snatching the bag from Chris and tossing it to Mane.

He didn’t even want the money so what was the point of killing Riel?

  This mothafucka is crazy!

Jason and the two dudes that sat with him had moved the bodies in the back somewhere. The only thing left to clean up was the bloody mess. Realizing I was still clenching my gun, I finally put it back into my purse and zipped up my bag.

Mane stood to shake up with Parker and I noticed a crimson red stain on his right outer thigh.

“Oh, my God, you’re bleeding!” Those were the first words to leave my mouth since everything had gone down. I grabbed the rag Parker had and went towards him.

Mane quickly moved back from me. “It’s just a graze, I’m good.”

It looked like more than a graze from the tear in his pants and the nice sized blood stain. With a roll of my eyes, I went to move towards him again, but was suddenly jerked back by my arm.

“What the fuck is you doing?” Parker snapped while snatching the dish rag from me.

“You pull on me again, yo ass gon’ be bleeding. Don’t you see he’s bleeding—” I fussed while staring at Parker like he had lost his mind.

“Shorty, it’s cool. Now would y’all get the fuck up outda here? Chris, bleach this table and burn that mothafucka,” Mane instructed and Chris went on to do what was asked of him.

“Come on.” Parker grabbed my arm again, jerked me to him, and pulled me out of the diner.

Once outside, I snatched away from him and I pushed him in the back. “Would you stop fuckin’ pulling on me! I can walk, damn.”

Parker bit his bottom lip before jerking me back to him, causing a loud squeak of surprise to leave my mouth. “What the fuck I tell you about hitting me? Huh?” He bit into his bottom lip harder before bringing his hand back.

Once I saw his hand rise, I started swinging on him. I had just seen him shoot a man carelessly, so I knew he had no problem knocking me out. I honestly felt that it was best I got my good hits in first before he turned that shit around and beat my ass. I got at least four good hits in before I was grabbed by the throat and roughly slammed on the hood of the car.

Before Parker could do anything, he was pushed away from me.

“P, come on man, damn! Y’all niggas wildin’ out here. Mothafuckas ridin’ by will see y’all stupid asses and call the fuckin’ laws to this bitch. We don’t need that shit here, my nigga,” Chris told Parker.

I was thankful for him at that moment. Hell, I was not anticipating his damn hit. I was feeling that shit and didn’t even get hit.

Chris gave Parker another shove before he turned to me. “Sweetheart, cool that shit you doing. My man have no problem beatin’ yo ass, so chill the fuck out. P, don’t let this bullshit that happened make you fuck shit up with baby here. Now take shorty home, I’ll be through in a minute.” Chris held his hand out towards Parker and surprisingly, what he’d said got to Parker because he grabbed his hand, doing a complicated handshake with him before looking at me.

“Get yo ass in the car,” Parker snapped at me.

From the mean mug on his face and the way his scars scrunched up, I couldn’t help but laugh. To anyone else he probably looked scary as hell, but he was just so gotdamn sexy to me. And his scars just added to his sex appeal.

“Boy, you better leave me alone.” I got off the hood of the car and jumped at him before opening the driver’s door.

“Fuck you think you doing?” He asked me as I went to get in the driver’s seat.

Reaching in my purse, I pulled out my license.

He saw what I was doing and laughed. “Hell n’all! Yo ass crazy, if you think I’m letting you drive my shit for real. Baby girl, I was just bullshittin’.”

“Well, I wasn’t. Now give me yo keys,” I sat in the driver’s seat with the door open and a hand stretched out.

“Damn, shorty, you doing it like that? Shid, I got a matchin’ one at my spot. You sit on my lap and I’ll let you drive it.” Chris offered, licking his lips.

Laughing, I shook my head. I looked at the inside of the car and then bit into my lower lip. Girl or not, Chris was sexy and little niggas didn’t even attract me.

The mug on Parker’s face did it for me. I looked Chris over. “Baby, it depends on how big and thick yo strap is…” Trailing off, I stared at Parker. A laugh filled scream left my mouth when he made a grab for me. I jumped into the car and kicked at him. “Stop! That’s yo friend.”

He then turned toward Chris and jumped at him. Unlike me, when Chris jumped, he swung his left then right fist fast. His right fist missed Parker by an inch.

“Get fuck’d up, Chris. Any other b
itch I’ll pass to you, this one right here, tho, it ain’t gon’ happen, my nigga. Syn, keep smiling and I’mma beat yo ass,” he laughed.

I rolled my eyes at him before looking back at Chris. “Call me, we’ll talk. Parker, stop! I was playing, dang.” I tried closing the door, but his big ass caught it. Ducking down, his upper body hovered over my small frame. “For real, I was just playin’. Gimme kiss,” I puckered my lips.

He laughed before pressing his big ass palm against my face and pushing my head back. “Hell n’all, you good, baby girl.” Parker pulled his face away from mine.

  Damn…

“Nigga get off me, move.” I was kinda mad he didn’t pucker his big ass lips up and kiss me when I’m not even a kisser.

“I’ll kiss you, come here,” Chris called from outside of the car.

Looking over at Parker, I puckered my lips again, laughing. “I got a bitch that would love you, kinda anyways. Parker, move so I can show him a picture,” I pushed at his shoulders but he didn’t move.

He shook his head. “Hell n’all, you tryna get my nigga popped fuckin’ with one of yo crazy ass friends. C, it ain’t even worth it. Lord, they cute as fuck tho’, man, but them babes packing big shit, nigga. One babe pulled an Eagle on my ass. Another had a little bitch and shot at me ‘cause I grabbed Syn arm, fam. Hell n’all. Wait, another had a 9mm and a big ass knife. Lord, I ain’t goin’ back out there by myself. But they some polite ass bitches, tho’, my nigga. Baby that shot at me like oops sorry, I had to look at that babe. Real shit, I was straight ‘bout to blow a hole in that bitch, man. But this little black roach got to pulling on me and shit, crying. Talkin’ ‘bout, Parker, baby please don’t— Stop hitting me, don’t you see us talkin’?” Parker stopped in the middle of his lie to say.

“Nigga, I was not crying. I just said lets go because I did not want to have to shoot you with my bitches is all,” I explained truthfully. My reply had him turning to look at me.

His face scrunched up into a look of confusion. “Yo, she shot at me, tho’, and you was gon’ pop me because I was defending myself? Fuck outda here.”

“Wait. Hold up,” Chris chimed in with a wave of his hands. He grabbed Parker and pulled him away from me. “Now let me make sho I heard this shit right. Baby right here stopped you from offing a bitch?” Chris asked with his arms crossed, a look of disbelief on his face.

Parker got back in the driver’s seat and sat on my lap. “Hell n’all, she ain’t stop shit. I ain’t shoot that bitch because she really looked sorry. Baby looked embarrassed as fuck. Cute, short babe, too. But I think she’s fuckin’ with that nigga Blaze, tho. I was gon’ tell Mane ass ‘bout ol’ girl that pulled them eagles out, but Syn ass talkin’ ‘bout ol’ girl complicated,” he explained.

“Shid, complicated can become uncomplicated with a phone call,” Chris repeated the exact same thing Parker said about Leon.

“C, I said the same shit.” Parker laughed, shaking up with Chris.

I rolled my eyes at the look he gave me. I pushed him before I grabbed his hat off his head and put it on. “Peaches kinda sorta is dating Blaze, but she’s single,” I explained, laughing.

“That don’t make no sense at all,” Parker laughed as he pulled out a cigarette.

“I know, but it kinda work for them. Anyways, Kim complicated as I said and I’m not about to add more on her. But my bitch Missy single. Here go a picture of her.” Grabbing my phone, I pulled up a pic of all of us together. “She’s the one in the white dress.” Parker took the phone from me, looking at the picture.

“That’s ol’ girl with the big ass knife and gun,” he told Chris, handing him my phone. After looking at the picture for a few minutes, he glanced back at me.

“You got some cute ass friends. I’m good, tho, she ain’t my type. That bitch look crazy,” Chris said, handing me my phone back.

I tried to hit him. “Y’all ass using that bitch word a little too loosely when talkin’ about my girls. Parker, get yo big ass off me. My legs done went to sleep.” I pushed Parker in his back and he leaned into me more.

“Y’all asses still out here?” Mane asked, walking to the car.

“I’m trying to go, but Parker won’t give me the keys. How’s your leg?” I looked over at Mane and then down to his leg where the blood had soaked through his pants.

“I’m good, but I’mma need yo little dangerous ass to keep the safety on yo gun next time.” When he said that my eyes went wide.

“Oh, my God! I shot you?” The look he gave me sent whatever sympathy I had for him out the window. He stared at me like I was the dumbest person ever. “Don’t look at me like that, next time I’mma make a point to shoot yo ass in the middle of your thighs instead of grazing it, black fucker.”

Parker broke out laughing at that which had me rolling my eyes and pushing him again. “Why you mad, tho?” He asked, looking back at me over his shoulder. The red angry mark on his face stretched tight from his smile.

I looked away from him in order to hide my smile.

“You ready to roll? Huh?” The moment my mouth opened he started talking again. “Not today, but I promise I’ll let you drive her soon,” he said, getting off me.

Not saying anything, I just nodded as I got out of the car. I mugged Mane hard and then walked to the passenger side.

Mane whispered something to Parker and he nodded his head.

“Aye, I’mma catch up with you niggas in a minute. Give me ‘bout two, maybe three hours and we’ll meet at the spot.” After bumping fists with Mane, he then shook up with Chris before whispering something in his ear.

Then Mane went back inside of the diner.

“I’ight, I got you, Lord. Aye, shorty, don’t fuck my man over, i’ight? I’d hate to have to fuck you up. Pretty or not, I’d beat the fuck outda you.” With a hit to Parker’s fist, Chris turned and ran to an all-white Range Rover.

“He can try to whoop my ass. Nigga, don’t know I shoot. Fuck he thought,” I stated, mad. I didn’t like that Chris left before I could respond.

Parker got in the driver’s seat and pulled off. “Shut the fuck up, yo ass ain’t gon’ shoot nobody.” My glaring face turned towards Parker. My slanted eyes didn’t seem to bother him in the least. “Chris right, tho. Don’t fuck me over, I ain’t too fond of being played with. We either gon’ be a hunnit with each other or…” he kinda paused, seeming stuck on his next words.

I took that moment to finish what I thought he was going to say. “Or we ain’t fuckin’ around?”

He stared at me and his features turned hard. “Shut the fuck up and hell n’all. If you fuck me over I’m gon’ beat the fuck outda yo ass,” he suddenly snapped, making my brows rise.

“Parker, who are you talkin’ to? Baby, you need to chill with that attitude, real shit, because it ain’t gonna get you nowhere. There’s other ways to talk to people, to me. And the way you talkin’ ain’t it. Now when have I ever not been a hundred with you?” I asked him seriously. “I don’t have a reason to lie about shit I do or going to do. There’s no need for me to because I’m a grown ass woman. Truth be told, the only reason I really went along with yo whole blackmail thing is because you a cool ass nigga and because we been messing around for years.”

I looked at him to make sure his ass was paying attention. “I figured we can give this thing a go outside of the club. Now that we are doing this, tho, ain’t nothing really changed. I fuck who I want, when I want. Just like you’re free to do what you want. This ain’t a relationship, we just two grown friends.”

Parker laughed before his features turned serious. His head tilted to the side and he licked his lips. “Friends? Shid, friends don’t pay to fuck. I pay to fuck and chill with you. Yo ass ain’t shit to be honest. You just a semi-high paid prostitute. Prostitute being the nice word I’m using. So miss me with that other bullshit coming out yo mouth. ‘Cause as long as I’m paying, yo ass gon’ be here.”

My mouth was just open, not believing what had just purp
osely slipped through his lips. I couldn’t even begin to explain why, but his words cut so deep it caused an aching feeling to form in my chest. Even though what he said was true, hearing Parker say it to me kinda hurt my feelings and my feelings didn’t get hurt easily. Leon couldn’t even hurt my feelings with some of the harsh shit he spat at me.

“Fuck you! And if I’m so much of a damn prostitute, why you wanna fuck and chill with me? Yo ass still willingly drop yo money to fuck. So you’re the dumb mothafucka who knows he’s being used and still come back. Even though yo dumbass know this about me, you’re the one who wanted to move this outside of the club. Fuck outda here with that prostitute bullshit, don’t try to fuckin’ label me.” I was pissed off. “We don’t even have to do this to be honest.”

Parker hummed as he pulled in front of a two story, grey, brick house. He reached over me to the glove compartment and grabbed a remote. Then he pressed a button that had the garage opening. Parker then hopped out of the car and walked into the garage. Once he was inside, some dude came inside of the garage through a door in the house. He handed Parker a duffle bag and then went back inside. Parker came back out, throwing the bag in the backseat.

Without a word in reply to what I’d said, he pulled away from the house. A sigh left my mouth. I leaned forward and turned up the radio only to have Parker turn it off. Glancing at him, I just rolled my eyes. I chose not to say anything else to him.

  Chapter 18

  Angel

For two hours, I rode quietly in his car as he picked up and dropped off duffle bags. We were now leaving the place where we’d met up with Chris and Parker still hadn’t said anything to me. Well, I wasn’t talking to him either, but the silence was starting to work my damn nerves. I turned in my seat so I was facing him, then I let out a loud sigh that caused him to glance my way.

“You childish as hell,” I told him.

With a raised brow he looked back at me. “How so?”

“Because you are. Why would you call me a prostitute?” I didn’t know why but that bothered the hell out of me. I didn’t want him to look at me as a damn prostitute.
