Duke of Treason Page 17

by Lisa Torquay

As he opened the door for her, the hearth exhibited a big fire. After stepping inside, she froze, her hand coming to her mouth, astonished.

“I told the carpenter we needed a special device for training.” He said, as he laced her from behind and nibbled her ear.

His caress and the sight of the… device threw her in a cauldron of heat.

In one corner of the armoury lay an angled platform which had the exact size of a bed and was all cushioned.

“Oh, Romulus.” She murmured with undisguised suggestiveness.

“We can have it in the Duchess’ chambers if you think this is too exposed here.” He completed, hands roaming all over her.

She tilted her head back to him. “Oh, frankly, Romulus.” Her arm went backwards around his neck. “We use the dungeons quite often, don’t we?”

“Hm.” He rumbled. “The last time you asked me to chain you to the column, you nearly finished me up, I must say.”

She turned to him, both hands in his hair. “I hope no one heard us.” She smiled seductively. “We were positively out of control.”

He kissed her, becoming hard with the memory. “We leave it here, then?”

“Definitely.” She found his gaze almost green in the fire light. “It has the added advantage of varying places.”

“You are right, of course.” He had guided her there and sprawled her on the ‘device’.

Their ‘training’ lasted the entire night.

  The End

  Author’s Note

Although this book is part of a series, the characters in all three books do not meet. They fought in different fronts and, sometimes, in different wars. It prevented them from ever having contact with each other. Therefore, each book in the series is a standalone. What they do have in common, however, is the fact they went to war and came back changed somehow. Which will guide their actions, their feelings and the way they deal with love. Their stories are intimately related to their being away for years and coming home to lead a life marked by those historical events.

  Dear reader,

I really hope you have enjoyed this book. If you did, would you please post a review on Amazon and/or Goodreads, or on your bookseller of choice? Your opinion will help other readers who like this genre of romance spot it. A couple of lines, no more, stating what you enjoyed about it.

It will be an honour to hear from you.

  Cheers,

  Lisa.
