The Wedding Planner Page 17

“You know I had this night planned out to the last detail before you came to my shop and said you would give us a chance.” I look over at him, as he looks out to the sea. “I was going to find you sitting on the beach and I was going to ask you out, just like you said after the wedding.” Ocean stops and turns me to face him. “But I’m so happy I didn’t have to wait until today to ask you out. I still want to go ahead with the date I planned, so here it is,” Ocean turns me around and I’m left speechless.

I walk over to the fire pit and the blanket set up with a nice meal. “Ocean this is… I have no words.” I lean into Ocean as he starts kissing my neck. “I love you.”

“I love you too, Miss Cox. I can’t ask you out on a date so I thought I would ask another question.” I can feel my heart beating harder. “I love you, you know I do, but before we take the step you are thinking about, I was thinking of something else. Something that might be scaring me a lot more than getting married. Emma Cox, will you move in with me?”

I burst out laughing. “You know Ocean, I was thinking something else there for a moment.” I turn to face him and give him a long kiss.

“You don’t want to get married? Is it me?”

"God no, I just don't think we are there yet. But to answer your question, I would love to move in with you." Ocean picks me up and I wrap my legs around his waist as I deepen our kiss.

“The moment we get back, you’re packing your stuff,” Ocean slowly kneels down still with my legs wrapped around him. “I know we both like the adventurous things, but sex on the beach is something I might have to say no to.” Ocean gives me a wink and I burst out laughing.

“Sorry to disappoint you, but I think I have to agree with you there.” Ocean sits up and passes me a glass of champagne.

“I thought we could celebrate us,” he says tapping his glass with mine.

"To us." How could anyone say no to this? This would have been an amazing first date. One thing is for sure, there is not one part of my life with Ocean I would change. This was all perfect and I can't wait to see what our life has in store for us.

  Chapter 22

  Ocean

  One month later

“Boss, that new client is here about the cake order.” I look up at Isla. “They said they need three different cakes for one day.” I’m trying to get a peek at this couple through the circle window of the doors.

"I will be right out." Work is crazy at the moment. I was hoping it would slow down so that I could help Emma with her office. It's opening tomorrow and she has worked so hard on it. I got the guys to help when they could for me. I've been here every day before the staff gets in and I'm the last one to leave. Most days Emma is here with our dinner as I'm still decorating a cake for the weekend.

I wanted to be there for her as she has been here for me. I didn't think that girl could get any better but I was very wrong. We fit like a jigsaw puzzle. Every piece we find of each other fits in the right place.

Walking out to the front of the shop, I look at the couple, and I already know what cake they want. I’m just not sure why they need three cakes. “Hello and welcome to Rivers Cakes. My name is Ocean, how can I help you?” I ask as I shake their hands. Pointing to the table I ask, “Should we take a seat?” We walk over to a table by the window.

"Hello, I'm Mary and this is my fiancé, Bob," Mary sits down at the table with Bob.

“Nice to meet you. How is it that I can help you?”

" We know this is short notice as it's only seven weeks away, but we're getting married on Halloween and we were wondering if you could squeeze in a cake order. We want three cakes." They both look at each other. Now I love a good cake design, but doing three, plus the cakes I already have might be hard even for me.

“Let me just have a look at my planner to see if I can fit you guys in. Do you guys have a wedding planner you’re working with?” I ask. Dating Emma has taught me, if there is a planner involved, I need to talk to them. They won’t want a cake that doesn’t fit the theme they have planned.

"No, we couldn't find a planner that was interested in anything that we wanted. The vision is a little more out there than your typical wedding." I can't help but laugh because they do look a little outside the box. I mean I have done Halloween cakes, but never a wedding/halloween cake so this should be fun for me.

"Well, my girlfriend is a wedding planner and she loves planning, shall I say, different weddings. She likes the challenge," I tell them both and Mary seems happy about that.

  “Really, what's her name?”

"You know, there’s something about you two that I like. Let me send her a text to see if she was still going to meet me for lunch. If she wants, then I will tell her to come over here and you guys can discuss it with her." I have no idea what it is about them, but I feel good around them.

“Great, thank you. Would you both be up to doing it with such short notice?” Mary asks.

“Like I said, she does like a challenge.” I open my planner up to see if I can fit them all in. “When would you like the other two cakes?”

“Two will be a week before the wedding, and then the wedding cake,” Bob tells me as I flick through the pages.

"So, it looks like I can make the cakes for you. Do you have any ideas of what you guys would like or would you let me come up with a few designs, then you two can see what you like." I write their names into the planner.

“No, we don't really have any ideas. If you could come up with a few things that would be brilliant and we can go from there.” I give them a smile then start writing a few things down about some ideas. I have an idea I think they might like.

"I have an idea; obviously you don't want the normal bride and groom cakes, and you want the cakes before the wedding to be a little smaller. So, for the bride cake I was thinking of doing a two-tier and have skulls all the way around it." I do a quick drawing of it then pass the paper over to them.

“This is amazing. I’ve always wanted something like this,” Mary gives the paper to Bob.

"For the wedding and groom cake give me a few days to come up with a design then I will email everything over to you, and you can let me know what you like," I tell them. My phone beeps and I see Emma's name appear. I open the message. "And looks like my girlfriend is free to come and talk to you. She will be about twenty minutes." I send her a quick message back.

“Great, I hope she can help me. Doing everything myself can get a little stressful,” Mary looks at her watch.

"And she's taking it all out on me," Bob adds, and I start laughing out loud. Mary gives him an evil look of shut your mouth.

"If you want you can wait here, have some coffee. When Emma comes, she can get started with you guys." I stand up ready to get back to the cake I had started this morning.

“We might go for a walk and be back later.” I shake both their hands and walk into the back area. “We got a Halloween wedding,” I tell Jake. He loves making cakes that are different, and I know he will make and design whatever I draw up.

“Nice, I want a challenge,” he says as he throws an icing ball at me.

"Well, you're going to get one." Looking at the birthday cake in front of me, I get things started so that I can finish this off today. It might be another late night. I don't want to come into the shop tomorrow, so I need to get it finished. I want to be with Emma for her opening tomorrow.

"So, how is living with Emma? Do you remember to put the toilet seat down?" Jake asks. He's been making the odd comment to me here and there, but I can't blame him. When he moved in with his girlfriend, I was making these same jokes to him.

"I've forgotten a few times, but nothing like having makeup sex first thing in the morning," I tell him. It's just not the makeup sex I love about Emma living with me. It’s sex whenever we get the chance, waking up with the most beautiful girl in the world, breakfast in bed, movie night, and the fact we both laugh at the same stupid things make it so much better for us. The other day we both laughed for t
wenty minutes about the toilet paper debate, does it go over or under? We both sit there just laughing about why we were right about it.

“Got to love some morning sex,” Jake puts his fist out for me to bump and I do. I mean I’m living the life. I’m happy to be living. “You are so taken with her. I can already see it, married this time next year.”

“I would love to, but at the moment neither one of us has wedding on the mind, she plans so many. I know she has a wedding planned for herself, so we need some money for that. Money we don’t have just yet,” I tell him.

I would have asked her to marry me the moment she agreed to be my girlfriend. I’ve known Emma was the one for me straight away, but we both need to take things one step at a time. And with her opening the new office and saving for a house, a wedding might just have to wait.

“Yeah, they aren’t cheap. You might want to start getting some more business through the doors,” Jake looks behind us as Emma walks through the door.

“We can just about do the cakes we have on the books, and you know me, I don’t want to hire more staff,” I tell him and give Emma a kiss as she stands next to me. “Hello buttercup.”

“Hey handsome, what are you talking about?” Emma pulls a plate closer to her and sticks her finger into the icing.

“Nothing, Jake is finding it hard to keep up with the cakes we have booked.” I look up at him as he sticks his middle finger up at me, making Emma laugh.

"I think you know you need to work harder," Emma tells him as she pulls my sketch pad closer to her. "These look really good, but my only thought is, Jake is right, you're fully booked until next year. How are you going to fit this wedding in?"

“It will be one night that I will have to work late on it, promise,” I look over to her. “It’s one night and extra money coming in, so why not?”

“You know what you’re doing,” Emma takes some more of the icing into her mouth.

"The couple should be back in a bit so you can talk to them out front if you want. Jake said he will close up for me so I can check out the office before everyone else." I lean down to give her another kiss.

"Great, as you've not seen it since it's been finished," she gives me a smile. I've hated that I haven't had the chance to go there, but Emma understood why. The day I did have some time, she told me to wait until the last parts were done so I could see the finished office. Every decision she put into the office, she would talk to me about, from the color of the walls to the desk that she would sit at. She kept me in the loop.

“The guys are still coming tomorrow. What time did you tell everyone to be there?”

“About six, so I have the day to set up the drinks, food and have my books nicely set up.” I can hear the nervousness in her voice. It’s a big day for her.

Wiping my hands on my apron, I give Jake a small nod telling him to leave the room for a moment. The other two staff leave and I turn to Emma. "Buttercup, everything will be fine. You are going to have an amazing day. You will see so many couples walk through your door and take your card for when their big day comes." I place my hands on her hips as I stand in front of her. "You've worked hard for this. It's one of the reasons I love you. You never give up, and you work your sexy ass off."

“And that’s why I love you, you work hard and you push me to work hard too. I think we make the best team around.” She gives me a smile and a kiss.

  “You bet we do.”

Standing with Blake and Marc, I watch Emma talking to the guests. I have to say Emma did a fantastic job with this place. Everything about it shouts brilliant wedding planner. She has already got two bookings for next year and Cassie's friend has booked her in but no date. She has been dating this guy for four years and she’s still waiting for him to pop the question. I'm just happy this has helped Emma get a few more bookings and on top of that she has new contracts for flowers, if Tanya can't help, hotels and venue places. The only people she won't take new contracts with is cake designers. All her wedding cakes will only come from me. God, I love this girl.

She even got the couple for the Halloween wedding. They both have so many ideas for what to do. Emma, in the end, told them to come to the office on Monday so that they can sit and talk about it all.

"You guys still coming to the club later?" Blake asks as I see Tanya, Amie and Pete walking over to us.

"I think Emma and I will call it a night after this. I think she needs a night to chill," I tell him, giving the girls a hug. We all agreed that tonight there would be no pranks. The girls haven't been too bad, they got me back for the glitter bombs, but I still have my big plan for them. I just have to wait for the right moment. Marc has told me that when we do this prank, we will have to watch out for retaliation. But I like not knowing what they will do. I even find it all funny now. Emma scares me sometimes. I never really know which team she’s on, mine or theirs, as she gives me a few ideas sometimes, but then I think she gives them ideas too.

“We are all up for it.” I look over at Amie as she talks to Pete. “Emma is going to be so much more relaxed when this is all over.” We all look over at Emma as she starts talking to someone else.

“She sure is. Good thing I’m the best boyfriend around and have a nice meal planned for her at home.”

“Shut up, you really do think too much of yourself,” Tanya pushes me to the side making me burst out laughing.

"I told you I don't think I am, I know I am," I always say it in front of her just to wind her up. Whenever I do something sweet for Emma, she will make a joke about it or say something about me being the perfect boyfriend.

I see Emma walking over to us and I wrap my arm around her shoulder. "A good night?" I ask.

"I'm so tired now," she says as she wraps her arms around my waist. "I just have to clean up, and then I'm ready for bed." Emma takes the wine glass from Tanya. "Thank you so much for all your help. There is no way I could have gotten this place ready in time."

“Does this mean whenever we get married, you’ll plan the wedding for free?” Amie asks while looking over at Pete. He just ignores us and drinks his wine.

“I will plan your wedding for free,” Emma tells her.

I look over to the side as I see Emma’s dad walking over to us. He has been a huge support for Emma. The moment she told him about her plans, he has been helping her so much.

“Hi Dad,” Emma moves over to him and gives him a hug then moves back over to me.

“Hey sweetie pie, you've done an amazing job here. I’m so proud of you,” Mr. Cox looks over at me, then back to Emma. “And I think it's time you lock up and get some beauty sleep, even though you’re always beautiful.” He leans over to her and kisses her head.

"Thanks, Dad. I'm taking a long weekend before the madness begins on Monday," Emma leans her head on my chest, she is tired.

I give her dad a handshake as he says bye to Emma. “We will help you clean up….” Amie starts but is cut off.

"No, no, no, no…" Emma points to them all. "You guys have helped so much. Go out. Enjoy your night, have fun. Ocean and I will sort this out." She looks up at me with sleepy eyes.

“I think you need to sleep, buttercup,” I get the gang together as they say bye to Emma and lock up. “How about we just pick up the big stuff and leave all the little stuff for tomorrow,” I look at Emma as she falls on the small couch on the side of the room.

Walking over to her, I kneel down next to her. "I agree with you, and I will get up to help." I give her a small nod knowing very well that she is not about to get up.

Walking around the office, I pick up the big mess so that it won’t take too long in the morning. As I walk back to Emma, I stand there smiling as she is fast asleep on the couch.

This year is going to be not just exciting for her, but also busy. I’ll be here to support and help her every step of the way.

  Epilogue

  Ocean

I kissed her with ferocity, taking her mouth with a burning possession, ta
sting her sweetness with deep, languid licks. She whimpered. The vibration sizzled straight through me and stiffened my already hard cock. Pressing my hardness against the firm, her bottom. Being in Emma’s presence keeps my hunger for her eternally burning, never fully extinguished. She has stolen my heart and I know I would never get it back, and I would never want it back.

“Good morning, Ocean,” she coos, twining her hand around my neck.

“Good morning, buttercup,” I smile and lean in to whisper in her ear, “I’m so hard for you.”

“Good job, I’m wet for you.” Emma starts laughing.

Her breath is slow and steady, her nipples stiffen, magnifying the fullness of her ample curves. She is just stunning.

A lazy half-smile spreads across her face, a look that I’m very used to seeing from her now, she wants me to tear off all her clothes and ravage her body. Good job she only sleeps in her underwear. I trace my fingers along her skin until my fingertips met a peaked nipple. She melts into me, pressing her warm, curvy ass against my hard-on, she is a tease.

I press my cock against her bottom and kiss her, my tongue blazing a trail from her ear to her jaw, and finally to her hot lips.

She slides her hands along the muscles of my chest and our breath grew rapid and pressured as our tongues dance with one another’s mouths. I catch her lower lip between my teeth making her moan softly. Pushing myself upright, I sweep the covers aside and outline a path from her breast to her hip. Moving her gently onto her back and press her knees apart so I could rub her clit over her panties, noting the growing wetness of the fabric. I do love how I can still make her feel this hot.

Cheeks flush, her eyes bright, she watches as I lower myself to her full breast. Her expression displays the raw, savage effect I have on her, and I love it. She never hides it, never hides her fierce hunger for me.
