Black and White Flowers (The Real SEAL Series Book 1) Page 25

by Rachel Robinson

What and who is left behind in the wake of countless deployments and years of training trips? What does life look like when a SEAL sheds the tough exterior? How does that affect their lives and relationships?

In an attempt to shine an authentic light on the fictional characters I create, I came up with this new series of novels. While their stories are pulled straight out of my imagination, their qualities are genuine. A truthful look at the men we love, and sometimes love to hate. (Sorry, it’s inevitable!) If you’ve followed my novels from the beginning, you know the type of men I like to write. I will never deviate from accuracy. I will write characters that are flawed and cringe worthy. Others will be so perfect it may raise a brow or two. Guess what? Both types exist side by side in this world and in the Teams.

I’ve had close contact with a REAL, live Navy SEAL, not a character in a novel. These stories (all of them) are my cathartic therapy. I share them with you in hopes you will enjoy the ride, or to merely offer another point of view you may have never considered before.

Most authors sprinkle truth into their stories. It makes relatable tales. This series is a touch different, a dash more. I hope the REAL SEAL novels capture your heart the way they thrive in mine. Macs and Teala are up next!

  THANK YOU

Thank you to the countless people who make my stories a reality. To my beta readers who read first-draft chicken scratch, you are super heroes. Julie, for tearing every word to shreds and making me contemplate the inner workings of my character’s brains. My editor, Emily, who has abilities I’m not capable of understanding. Thank you for deleting seven hundred commas in every manuscript.

My kids deserve thanks for accepting less of me to make my dreams a reality. I love you so much my heart almost explodes when I think of you.

Thank you to Critter. For everything you are and everything you are not. My every success is because I have you supporting me (near and far.) Hopefully by the time you’re able to read this we are making-out instead of reading.
