He searched her face gravely. “You’ve forgiven me?”
She touched his lips with a forefinger. “Long ago.”
After a long minute, he leaned back, gathering her close again. Anne lay thinking about second chances. They wouldn’t make the same mistakes again. She’d fled to Tallulah with her world in pieces. And from such a disastrous be-ginning, they were both renewed. Buck had found his place at Belle Pointe and she had found so much more.
She glanced at the alarm clock, then reached up to turn his face to hers. “We have ten minutes. Let’s not waste it.”
