ACKNOWLEDGEMENTS
As always, my beloved husband Rich has been my main supporter, cheering me on when I despair, listening to my ideas even before his morning coffee, and celebrating success with drinks on the deck. I am eternally grateful to you, my beloved.
I am fortunate to be surrounded both locally and online by amazing authors who share the blood, sweat, and tears of our crazy profession. To my CR Sisters, my Crimson Romance family, and especially to my MMRWA Chapter mates, I thank you. A special shout-out to my critique partners, Maris Soule and Diana Stout, and my Monday write-in group, Kate Bode, Patty Seino-Gordon, Diane Flannery, Laurie Kuna, and Loralee Lillibridge, who traveled the journey of this book with me. Thanks to my Plotting Peeps, Anne Stone, Deb Moser, Linda Fletcher, and Sue Glover whose wisdom and wine-sharing offered new ideas—in vino veritas indeed.
A special thanks to H.J. Smith, Luana Russell, and Sara Yoder, who traveled with me during our journeys as teachers and continue to support and encourage me as beta readers, but more importantly, as dear friends.
Finally, my thanks to Julie Sturgeon who, with every stroke of the pen (or stroke of a character in Track Changes), helps me to become a better writer through her insight and expertise. And to all you readers who trust me enough to enter the story my characters and my Muse, Boris, have whispered to me.
About the Author
Author, blogger, poet, and believer in dreams coming true, Elizabeth Meyette has journeyed through a career in education to a career in writing. To coin a friend’s phrase, she’s not retired, she’s “refired” in her career as a writer. Her historical romances, Love’s Destiny, Love’s Spirit, and Love’s Courage are set during the American Revolution. Her mysteries, The Cavanaugh House and Buried Secrets, are set in 1968 in the Finger Lakes region of upstate New York.
Elizabeth and her husband, Rich, enjoy living in west Michigan surrounded by the beauty of the Great Lakes. They made an agreement that she cannot cook on writing days after he endured burnt broccoli and overcooked chicken. Fortunately, Richard is an excellent cook.
She credits her muse, Boris, for keeping the stories coming. When Elizabeth is not working on a novel or poetry, she is busy keeping up with her blog, Meyette’s Musings.
