ABOUT THE AUTHOR
Kristin Thiel lives in Portland, Oregon, where she is a writer and editor of books, articles, and documents for businesses. She has worked on many of the books in the So, You Want to Be A... series, which offers career guidance for kids. She’s the lead writer on a report for her city about funding for high school dropout prevention. Thiel has judged YA book contests and helped start a Kids Voting USA affiliate. She has been a substitute teacher in grades K–12 and managed before-school and afterschool literacy programs for AmeriCorps VISTA. Thiel’s own scientific experiments include finding the best angles to bend her arm for comfortable snuggling for both her and her cat.
