by Lauren Firminger

“I’m not sure but I guess I will find out soon enough.” She nodded and laid her head on my chest. Running my hand up and down her back, I kept her close. What the fuck was going on and why couldn’t he tell me anything yet? I just hoped I wasn’t going to get a phone call to identify a body. I would have to wait and see.

For the moment, all I could do was concentrate on what was right in front of me. And that was Abby, the love of my life, my forever. I never knew I deserved this happy ending. I just hope that we can stay in this bubble for as long as possible. I have a feeling there are murky waters and trouble coming, so I’m going to ride the wave, hold her close and look after what’s mine. Because she is. Mine, and from the way that she’s currently looking at me, I’m hers.

  About the Author

Lauren Firminger has had a love affair for books her whole life. From the fairy tales that were read to her as a young girl to the stories of love and loss that would distract her as a teenager.

It wasn’t until attending her first signing as a reader, in Sydney, that she discovered the world of Indie authors that would ignite her spark of writing once again.

Taking a leap of faith, Lauren published her debut novel, Learning to Fly. From there, the characters continued to speak with her and three years, seven books later, the words continue to flow. From military romance to motorcycle clubs, Lauren tests the boundaries of them all and hides inside the worlds she creates.
