Trallis the Warrior and the Sword of Unimaginable Power Page 3

by Jack Thomas

The two swords never even noticed Trallis’ approach. He considered hopping into the nest and grabbing the sword, but then thought better of it. He lowered himself over the ledge and began climbing back down the cliff. Sure, it was a shame to let go of something so valuable, he thought… But possessing the most powerful sword in the world probably wasn’t worth being driven to insanity. No, he decided that it would be best if he just went back to using his old sword.

Eventually the sun hit the mountain and Trallis was left to scale the rest of the cliff whilst bathed in the golden light of a day drawing to its close, all the while pondering on what had surely only been a small taste of what awaited him on this adventure. Certainly this escapade had been a relatively small and not-very-profitable one, but he could tell deep down in that tingly part of him that this adventure would be one for the ages.

At least this whole ordeal ended better than that with the Shield of Unquestionable Glory, he thought.
