He pulled back and whispered close to her ear. “I love you, Irish.”

Kissing him with every inch of her soul, Sinead showed him the depth of her love.

  My angel, Gabriel.

  ACKNOWLEDGEMENTS

I’d like to acknowledge the many people who have been involved in the various stages of writing this book over the past two years. Thanks to the wonderful team at Avon Maze/HarperCollins UK, who liked my story enough to pick it as the winner of the We Heart New Talent contest! My big break!

Massive thanks go to my online writing groups, the Flash Forward writers and The Ink Spot for helping me through my early drafts, offering such great suggestions. You are all amazingly talented and supportive women who taught me so much, and encouraged me when I wanted to chuck my manuscript in the bin. I may not have met you all in real life, since we come from all around the world, but I consider you to be true friends. I’m inspired by you all.

To the equally inspiring members of the Romance Writers of Australia, many of whom are also my friends (or just put up with my rampant fan-girling). Without your enthusiasm, expert writing and publishing knowledge, and the annual conference where I’ve soaked up information like a sponge, I’d still be wallowing in rubbish-first-draft land.

A huge shout-out to my face-to-face writing group, the Melbourne Romance Writers Guild. I joined the group after I’d finished the first draft of this novel, but to those who helped me refine it, and then celebrated my success, thank you so much. Especially Michelle Somers. You rock.

Last but not least, thank you Melissa, whose experiences as a flight attendant inspired the idea for this story, although the story is not actually about you. No, really. Except for the part about always looking glamorous.

  About The Author

Cassandra O’Leary is a writer/corporate wordsmith and communications specialist, avid reader, film and TV fangirl, and admirer of pretty, shiny things. In 2013, Cassandra tackled a long-term goal to get serious about creative writing. She’s now in the process of writing her third full-length novel.

Contemporary romance and romantic comedy are her main genres, but she has a few shorter novellas and other projects on the go, always, probably simultaneously. Cassandra’s short story Chocolate Truffle Kiss was published in a 2015 Melbourne Romance Writers Guild anthology, Sweet and Spicy – a celebration of romance, now available at major e-book retailers.

Cassandra was a 2015 finalist in the Contemporary Series category in the Lone Star writing contest run by the Northwest Houston Romance Writers of America, and a 2014 finalist in the First Kiss contest run by Romance Writers of Australia, of which she’s a proud member. She is also the winner of the We Heart New Talent contest run by Avon Maze/HarperCollins UK.

She is a mother of two gorgeous, high-energy mini ninjas and wife to a spunky superhero. Living in Melbourne, Australia, she’s also travelled the world. If you want to send her to Italy or Spain on any food or wine tasting ‘research’ trips, that would be splendiferous.
