The sisters stood silent again. The cool breeze rumbled the remaining leaves that covered their shoes. Anna ruffled the leaves off and spoke again.

“I learned a lot from you.”

Gloria turned her head towards Anna, and put her sunglasses on when the sun hit her eyes.

“I learned to really take notice of my other senses when I need to. I will never take that for granted again,” Anna continued.

“You never did,” Gloria quickly responded. “Your senses are always present, but you just relied mainly on what was easy for you, which was sight, and I relied wholeheartedly on the other senses, which was easy for me in order to survive in this world,” Gloria explained.

Anna kept silent and smiled as she watched Gloria brush the leaves off with her cane.
