"Gabriel won't be back for a while. His control slipped, which caused him to lose Cassiel and Mitchell. Gabriel will have to rebuild his magical powers, but with Cassiel on a different plane, his abilities will be weaker."

"And Mitchell? Bryn, he's a loose cannon."

I know Mitchell and he won't harm me."

  "I hope you're right."

  Epilogue

  Aylin

I stood beside the wreckage and stared at my baby, the beautiful black beast damaged in the collision. She was fixable, and I would spend every free moment on repairs. But what about me?

My pain was fading, but I still couldn't believe how close I had come to dying. Blood had seeped from my wounds, and my body ached to be released from the pain. I watched as Bryn stitched me back to life. It was like an out-of-body experience.

  And then there was light.

  Relief.

  And Connor's loving touch.

"Aylin!" Connor shouted, bringing me back to the present.

"What?" I rubbed my burning wrist.

"I said, are you ready to go?"

Was I ready to go with him? I looked down at the luminescent imprint – a crescent moon. I tucked my hand in my jacket pocket and walked toward my soul mate.

When I got closer, Connor opened the door to his Hummer. No crescent moon illuminated his wrist.

  He wasn't bonded.

  Author Note

Thank you so much for reading Bryn and Liam's story. I fell in love with the philosophy of a soulbond — a connection so strong that nothing can break it. I'm hoping you'll continue the journey with me through Aylin and Connor's story.

Coming Soon — Aylin and Connor's Story in The Half Moon.
