Julianne leaned in and whispered that she was now a card-carrying member of the Royale Island Yacht Club.
“I knew it!” Trisha shouted at the top of her lungs.
“You absolutely cannot tell anybody. Under penalty of death, you got that?”
“I’m sworn to secrecy.”
“This has been without a doubt the strangest thing to ever happen to me.”
“One of the best though, right?”
“Oh…my…God.”
“Okay, you can’t make me wait anymore. How has your life changed? You need to tell me now.”
“Should we order food?” replied Julianne. “It’s a long story.”
Trisha hung onto every last one of Julianne’s words with baited breath. She started from the beginning and left no detail buried in mystery. At the end of Julianne’s odyssey, Trisha responded with an enthusiastic round of applause.
“So what happened next?” Trisha pleaded. “You called him, right?”
“Relax,” replied Julianne. “The story’s not over yet.”
“What do you mean it’s not over yet? Why not?”
Just then, that same limousine pulled up outside of the Ridgewood Ale House.
“I got a date tonight.”
And just like that, Julianne’s world had changed. Her new Sugar Daddy was coming to pick her up for the next of many hot dates. She never had to go back to her lousy job ever again and was able to enjoy life to the fullest, both emotionally and physically.
