HotShot Lawyer: STANDALONE BAD BOY ROMANCE (Bad Boys In Suits Book 1) Page 6

by Helen Vera

Her doe eyes widen and she licks her lips. She clearly wants me. I cross the distance between us and trap her in the chair with my long arms. I flex them for good measure and she digs her nails into the cushion below her. “Are you ready for your punishment?”

She snorts and pretends like she’s not fucking horny for me. My vixen is one fucking cock tease. I move my hand to her right thigh and slide my fingers under the leather fabric. She does nothing to stop me.

Yes baby, that’s my good girl.

I bend down to taste her lips. She melts under my touch and moans into my mouth when my thumb strokes her clit. Her skin is soft and sinful. I pull away abruptly. She clings to my arms like a needy slut, her almond eyes silently beg me to ravish her.

  “Jax..”

  “Tell me you want me.”

She blinks and lets go of my arms. “No. Not before you answer my questions.” She pants.

I groan in frustration and tug on my short hair. I glance at the row of candles to my left and imagine smashing them into pieces. “You drive a hard bargain, Vivian.”

She tugs hard on her leather skirt and crosses her legs. “Stop looking at me like that.”

  “Like what?”

“Like you are about to eat me.” She stutters.

Her sudden bashfulness confuses the hell out of me. “But I do want to fucking eat you.”

“Quit saying stuff like that,” She hides her face behind her notebook.

“Quit telling me what to do,” I warn. “Go ahead, ask your fucking questions before I change my mind.” She sits up straight and flips through her notebook.

She asks me questions about my anger and what triggers it, so I tell her what she wants to hear. Strangely enough, I find it incredibly easy to confide in her. Her voice alone is like an ocean siren. It beckons you and encourages you to spill your guts. I remind myself that I have my own selfish reasons for doing this. I’ve been looking forward to having my wicked way with her for days now. I watch her delicate hands as she writes my answers in her book. She’s so fucking irresistible when she bites her lower lip.

“So, what is your diagnosis, Doc? Am I a lost cause?”

“Of course not.” She replies. “You’re rude, stubborn and cocky is all.”

I stretch my arms on the back of the couch and contemplate what to do with her. “Smart ass.” She crosses her porcelain arms over her chest and I undress her with my eyes. Her tits are perfect. “Now be a good girl and get up.”

She chews on her bottom lip and stands up slowly. Her leather skirt clings to her curves like second skin. I have a feeling she wore it just to tempt me. She is a vixen in disguise.

“Stand in front of your desk and bend over for me.” I palm my cock and watch her do as I say. She looks unsure and timid, but I can tell that she’s loving this as much as I am.

I get up and walk over to her. The sexual tension between us is so thick, you can cut it with a knife. “Spread your legs Babe.” I smack her tight round ass. She gasps and spreads her legs wider.

I feel a small pang of guilt attack my conscience for a split second. It reminds me that I’m using Vivian for my pleasure; a widow who just lost her husband and is in a fragile state of mind. My guilt only fuels my anger, so I step forward and lift up her skirt. She is already wet for me. She wants this as much as I do.

She stretches her upper body on top of the desk, her braid falling to the side. I crouch down behind her and run my hands up and down her smooth legs. She shudders and squirms as I rub the outline of her engorged clit with my thumb. Her panties are in the way, so I yank on the elastic and tear them in half. She yelps in either shock or pain and tries to move, but I pin her to the desk using my free hand.

“If you move one more time, I’ll fucking spank your ass raw.”

I fuck her pussy with my middle finger and stand behind her with one hand on her waist. She keeps her eyes closed as I slide in and out of her, loosening her up. She moans softly, so I introduce another finger into her gushing hole. She’s so wet and ready for my cock, but I choose to get her off using my hands for the time being. A third finger joins the other two. I aim for her g spot this time and she screams into the polished wood. I smirk and keep a steady rhythm going. My hand is now drenched. I can tell that her orgasm is on the way, so I use my left hand to rub her clit. The sensation is too much for her. She tries to wiggle away, but I easily keep her pinned to the table using my hips.

I concentrate on her pleasure and avoid my aching cock. She needs this more than I do. She’s moaning nonstop now. I tap her engorged clit with my thumb and pull my wet fingers out of her pussy long enough to deliver a hard smack to her ass cheek. She cums instantly. Her body shudders violently as I admire the red, angry palm print I left on her milky globe.

She hides her face from me, but I turn her around and lift her up to sit on the desk. Her orgasm still rushes through her system. She tugs on her skirt and avoids looking me in the eye. I raise my cum stained fingers to her swollen lips and make her lick them clean. “Next time, you’ll be tasting my cock.”

The pleasure evaporates from her face and I can tell that she’s beginning to freak out. She pushes me away and walks over to her chair. She smoothes down her skirt and moves to stand behind it. “There won’t be a next time,” Vivian says.

  “Seriously?”

“This is wrong Jax.” She rubs her face tiredly.

A loud knock on the door interrupts us for the second time today. I huff and quickly unlock it. That fucking tanned woman is standing there with the red thermos in her hand. “Perfect fucking timing!” I bark at her before storming out of the office.

  VIVIAN

I hug my steaming coffee mug to my chest as I admire the ocean view. We’re in the Hamptons for the weekend. The weather is cold outside but the scenery is mesmerizing. Sue owns her very own beach property here. I guess being a successful celebrity interior designer has its perks. She bought this house five years ago and renovated it to perfection. The white two-story home is our getaway whenever we need one.

When I called her yesterday and told her I needed some space, she instantly knew what I meant. She told me to pack an overnight bag and leave Lucy with her parents. I know I had to tell her about Jax. The hurricane of emotions he invokes in me can’t be dealt with alone. I need someone to hug me and tell me everything’s going to be alright. Sue’s my person. She’s the yin to my yang and the peanut butter to my jelly.

So here we are, in her home away from home. Her New York apartment is nothing compared to this elegant jewel of real estate. There are barely any walls, so the ocean is visible from all angles. It gives you the feeling of being outdoors without leaving the warm indoors.

  “Honey, I’m home!”

I turn around and smile at Sue who’s carrying takeout bags of all colors, shapes, and sizes. Her freckled cheeks are flushed from the cold and her red curls form a halo around her head. “Wow. Sue. Are you feeding everyone in this neighborhood, including the whales and the dolphins?”

She dumps the bags on the spacious kitchen island and shrugs out of her navy blue coat. I laugh when I discover that she went out in her penguin pajamas. “Nope. I brought enough food for lunch, dinner, and breakfast tomorrow.” She replies. “We need to eat, drink and gossip.”

“Cheers to that,” I say, finishing the rest of my coffee.

She removes the individual takeout boxes from their bags and puts them on the granite island. “So, are you finally going to tell me why you were so freaked out last night?”

I tuck a strand of hair behind my ear and try not to blush. “I was freaking out because...” I close my eyes and decide to rip the truth out of me like a band-aid. “I slept with a patient of mine.”

  There. I said it.

“Holy shit!” Sue exclaims. Her denim blue eyes widen like saucers. “You what?”

“I had sex with Jax Knight.” I cover my face in embarrassment. My mind drifts to our session on Wednesday where his
fingers did wicked, illegal things to me. He must be some sort of incubus because his sexual energy is unbelievable.

“Jax Knight? As in lawyer and notorious bad boy, Jax Knight?” She walks over to me and shakes me by the shoulders. “You fucked Jax Knight?” She repeats his name incredulously for the third time in a row.

“Yes! Okay? I threw my morals and my sanity out the window and fucked him! I’ve been wanting to tell you for weeks now, but I was too ashamed. I still am.”

“Whoa. No wonder you’ve been acting strange lately. I knew something was up. I just knew it!”

I hoist myself up to sit on one of the kitchen stools as she slowly digests my words.

“I need a drink.” She grabs two glasses and fishes out a bottle of scotch from a nearby kitchen cabinet. “Do you need a drink? Of course you need a drink.”

“Sue. You’re repeating your sentences like a malfunctioning robot.”

“Sorry.” She sheepishly smiles. I grab my glass and we both down our drinks at the same time.

Warmth courses through my veins along with the familiar burn of damn good whiskey. I set my glass down on the island and dig into the assortment of boxes. I grab a handful of fries and shove them into my mouth.

Sue smacks my hand and steals the fast food bag from me. “I eat, you talk.” She demands.

I bang my head against the hard granite while Sue keeps throwing French fries at my hair. “Come on, Lady Godiva. Tell me how you ended up fucking the hottest man in New York.”

I take a deep, calming breath and tell her everything.

I even tell her how he bent me over my desk and made me orgasm with his fingers.

“Who are you and what did you do to my best friend?” Sue stares at me in disbelief.

“She seems to have lost her mind because this is so not me, right?”

“Yeah, but if I were in your shoes, and my horrible husband just died, I would have definitely hooked up with a hot beef cake. You need a palate cleanser after Andrew. No offense to the dead or anything, but he was a steaming pile of shit.”

“Yeah. He was.” I nod. “But still, there’s no excuse for sleeping with a patient. I completely and utterly regret it. I even sent Jax to another psychiatrist.”

“Good for you.” Sue pours herself another drink. The wind picks up outside and the gray clouds blend with the ocean.

“My feelings for Jax are beyond complicated. He’s unlike anyone I’ve ever met.”

“Are you sure this is not your vagina talking? Because you look like you’re totally dick-whipped.”

“No. This is more than just physical attraction.” I insist.

“Vivian, for a shrink, you sure are dense.” Sue rolls her eyes at me. “You’ve only been with one man your entire life. You have limited experience when it comes to hooking up and dating in general.”

I pout and cross my arms defensively. “True, but this does not explain the instant chemistry we have. I spent years with Andrew and not once did he make me feel the way Jax does.”

Sue contemplates my words for a few seconds. “Fine. Feelings aside, the man is trouble incarnate. Have you seen his TMZ videos? His short temper is a red flag, Vivian. His reputation is all over the press. He ended up in therapy for a reason.”

“I know, but his anger stems from unresolved childhood issues. It shows in his behavior.”

“Nice. So you basically fucked a guy with mommy and daddy issues.” She teases me. I get out of my chair and chase her around the open kitchen. We act like two immature kids sometimes and that’s why I love her. She sticks her tongue out at me and runs towards the living room.

“You should quit medicine altogether and become a bad boy groupie.”

  “Very funny.”

I laugh for the first time in ages. The sound of my laughter echoes through the crisp white living room. I freeze and cover my mouth with my hands.

“Are you okay?” Sue walks over to the modern fireplace in the center of the room and lights a small fire. She grabs a bag of marshmallows from the kitchen and we sit down and roast them together.

“Yeah. I just want to feel happy again.”

“Oh, Viv. You will.” Sue wraps her free arm around me. “Just stay out of trouble, okay? I hate to say this, but if people found out about Jax Knight, you might have to move to Jupiter to avoid the gossip.”

“Screw them. I swear living in New York is becoming such a pain in the ass.”

“Tell me about it.” She sighs.

We roast our marshmallows and eat them in comfortable silence. I think about her advice, but my inner school girl who has a massive crush on Jax refuses to listen. My heart does this weird flutter when I think of him. Could it really be just lust?

Lightning flashes in the distance. We both sit on the comfy ivory couch facing the floor to ceiling window and watch the thunderstorm unfold.

“Imagine twenty years from now, we’ll be sitting right here and laughing our asses off.”

“About what? Our reckless twenties?” I snort.

“Yep.” She nods and hugs her knees to her chest. “We’ll be the ones giving Lucy love advice. You’ll probably interrogate her boyfriends while I threaten to cut their balls off if they hurt her.”

I smile. I can totally imagine Sue doing that.

  “Life is weird.”

“Yeah. Speaking of Lucy, the two of you should totally move in with me.” She suggests.

“Hun, your house is so not toddler-friendly. Your vintage vases and priceless antiques are enough to open an entire wing at the museum.”

“Says the lady with a thousand teacups.” She nudges my arm playfully.

Sue suddenly gets up and searches for the remote. “How about we Netflix and chill for the day? There are a bunch of new shows I’ve been dying to watch.”

“Sure, but I get full control of the remote.”

  “In your dreams, Doctor Swanson.”

  JAX

The club is on fire tonight.

Felix really knows how to choose his DJs’. The set he’s playing has everybody on the dance floor. I stand and watch the crowd below from the coveted VIP area. The theme for this month is winter is coming in honor of Game of Thrones. My brother went all out for the theme. Small, individual snowflakes hang down from the ceiling like the real deal. The bar looks like it’s made out of a large ice block. A hidden fog machine works its magic behind the bartenders. The big ass aquarium spanning the entire left side features mermaids with realistic tails. They dance underwater like sea sirens.

The waiters and waitresses are dressed like those white walkers on the HBO show. People stop to take selfies with them. The night so far is a success. The line outside is ridiculously long. Everyone wants to spend their Friday night here. I drink my bourbon and spot Felix greeting a group of ladies by the bar. One of them looks incredibly familiar. I notice the way they eye-fuck him as he stands there in black leather pants and a v-neck sweater. I’ve gotta hand it to him, he does pull off this look pretty well.

I sometimes forget that he’s created his own unique brand of bad boy slash entrepreneur. This combination is a pussy magnet. Women flock over to him like bees to honey.

I glance down at my phone. There’s a dozen email notifications and five missed calls from a buddy of mine, but no texts from Vivian. She still refuses to reply to me. I can still taste her on my lips and smell her sweet tight pussy on my fingers. She’s stuck in my head like an unsolved case. I love unsolved cases. I love the challenge. I’m craving her like a drug addict craving a hit.

I notice a couple of ladies trying to catch my eye, but I ignore them and finish my drink. Felix finally shows up at the VIP area holding two whiskey glasses with silver dragons on the rim. He hands me a glass and stands next to me.

  “What fresh hell is this?”

“This is my own take on Hemingway’s favorite drink.” He replies. “I call it dragon blood.”

“Cheers.” We clink our glasses. I take a sip of m
y drink and boy is it strong.

“Jesus, this is some hardcore shit.”

He smirks. “Yep. So, how are things with your shrink?”

“She officially wrote a letter assigning me to another colleague of hers,” I mutter.

“Man, I thought this is what you wanted, why the long face?”

I sigh and glance down at the crowd below. “Things are fucking complicated. I keep on sending her texts, but she acts like I don’t exist beyond her office walls. It’s getting frustrating as fuck.”

Felix turns around to lean on the steel banister. Half the women in the club are lusting after him. And he knows it. “Trust me, she’ll come around. They always do.”
