“Well, yes,” Emmett replied and lowered his head for a kiss. “You didn’t think last night was all there was, did you? We intend to keep our women happy over here, you know.”

She raised her eyebrows, moving him openly even as he entered her moist front channel with two fingers. She couldn’t quite hide the jolt of what was presumably pleasure from him, but she seemed intent to oppose him. He smiled to himself. An obedient sub was a very nice thing to have, but a beautiful woman with a mind of her own outside the bedroom and who put up a bit of a struggle before he could tame her was a challenge he found it impossible to resist.

He spread his fingers inside her, stretching her and then slowly fucking her, all the time holding her stunning, green eyes trapped in his gaze. She had a lot to learn yet, but teaching her would be so much fun.

He continued to excite her with slow but sensual movements until she gasped and rocked with him, in the rhythm he dictated.

“Do you want my cock in you?” he asked, still fixing her with his eyes. He loved to talk dirty and hoped that he’d get the chance for a linguistic session with her, just like he frequently did with Shawn, but now wasn’t the time. Now was the time for a far more hands-on approach.

  She nodded.

“Good girl,” he praised automatically. “Shame I never got to fuck your beautiful arse last night, but I knew you weren’t ready for it. I could do it now, you know. Just stick my fingers in and make you get used to it.”

Copper’s face warmed, just as he had expected, so he added, “Tell me, where do you want it—in your front or in your back hole?”

She squirmed, and her eyelids fluttered, but she didn’t look away from him. “Front,” she whispered and bit her lip. The cute blush coloured her cheeks an even darker shade of pink now.

  Emmett smirked. “Say it.”

  Her eyebrows went up. “Huh?”

“Say it. Tell me what you want me to do to you.”

“I want you to…” Her gaze flicked to the side, then she looked at him again. “I want you to fuck me,” she said. Her voice was shaky, but she didn’t evade his gaze again.

  “Master,” Emmett said.

  “Uh, what?”

“Say it, Copper,” he ordered. “Say ‘I want you to fuck my pussy, Master.’”

Her blush intensified. “Um, I thought that was clear.”

Emmett shook his head. “Never assume wishes to be clear, precious. One of the most important things in BDSM is that there have to be rules, and in order to establish those rules, one must learn to express one’s wishes and no-gos clearly.”

“I wasn’t aware this was a BDSM session,” Copper said quietly.

“Copper, I am a Dom. It is part of who I am and an important feature of my personality. Every time you are with me is a BDSM session, because I live the lifestyle and not just play it. If you want to share that with me, you will have to learn the rules and you must stick to them.”

“Okay, I understand that. But what about Shawn?”

  Emmett shrugged. “What about him?”

“Where does he fit into this?”

“Quite simply, Shawn is my sub. He’s also my lover and life partner. We’ve discussed having a ménage relationship before, and he’s open for it. He’s bisexual, just like I am, and I know that he likes you.”

“Are you suggesting all three of us have a relationship together?” She sounded sceptical, but there was also a note of curiosity and maybe even excitement at the thought in her voice.

Emmett nodded. “Yes, in fact I do. It would require some effort, but it could work, and I believe the result would be well worth it. I know Shawn fancies you. You’re just his type, and watching him fuck you last night would have erased any doubts I might have had. The two of you are very compatible on a sexual level, and I believe you would get on well intellectually, too. You’re very much alike, even though Shawn is more settled in his need to submit.”

“That is all very well,” Copper said thoughtfully. “But what about you? You make this sound like it all just depends on whether Shawn and I get along. Wouldn’t you be going to be part of this?”

Leaning down, Emmett pressed a kiss to her forehead. “Of course I would be going to be part of this, silly girl. But there is no need to convince me because I, for my part, am positive that we could make this work, and as far as you’re concerned, I am already smitten. You’re the perfect woman for this.”

“Oh. Well, that, um, is nice to know.”

Copper was flushed a deep red by now. The colour set off her ginger hair wonderfully.

“You don’t have to decide just yet,” Emmett whispered, trailing a line of butterfly kisses from Copper’s chin along her neck, across her collarbone, and then further down, over the swell of her perfect breasts until his lips brushed her taut, little nipple. It perked up as he kissed it, and he flicked it with the tip of his tongue, teasing her. He’d already fallen in love with those gorgeous tits, and cupping them with both hands, the way he did now, filled him with the burning desire to rub, touch, and squeeze. There were some things a male body just couldn’t offer him, and luscious curves were the most vital of them.

Copper fortunately enjoyed his attentions, too. She was ready for him, hooking one long, shapely leg over his hip to invite him in, and he was only too happy to follow her invitation. Her cunt was dripping with her juices, just like the night before, and he entered her as soon as he’d rolled a condom over his cock.

Oh, the feeling of a supple, slick pussy engulfing his erection like a well-fitted sheath would never fail to excite him. He sank into her to the root, savouring those first moments when the sensation was strongest. Resisting the urge to just slam in and fuck that willing body to experience a quick orgasm made for a bittersweet moment of torture, a test of his willpower, but he wanted it to last. And, Dom or not, he was gentleman enough to make it good for his sex partner, too. Ordering an experienced sub like Shawn to suck him off without giving anything in return was one thing, but vaginal or anal penetration should always entail pleasure for all the parties concerned.

This time the act clearly entailed pleasure for Copper. She writhed and moaned underneath him, answering each of his intense thrusts with a snap of her hips as if she wanted to take him in yet deeper. Her responsiveness was adorable, and Emmett longed to make it even better for her. He wanted to hear her orgasmic screams again, the sweet, ecstatic noises she’d made the night before.

Slipping a hand between their bodies, down to that tight, sweaty place where their groins were connected, he carefully felt around until he found the right spot. She gasped and squealed when he tackled her clit straight on. He gathered some more of her wetness, coated the sensitive little bud with it, and rubbed it again. This time his fingers seemed to work magic. He could feel her inner muscles clamping down on him, and the pressure of her thighs to his hips increased as her body prepared itself for the big finale. It was a bit of a challenge, but Emmett had every intention of trying to synchronise their orgasms. Copper’s responsiveness made his task an easy one.

When he felt the characteristic calm settle over her, that distinct silence before the hurricane would break, he allowed his own arousal to take over. He’d got it right to within a few seconds. The contractions of Copper’s cunt muscles when she came triggered Emmett’s orgasm, and the sight of her and the noises she made sent his lust spiralling in mind-blowing heights.

Sated and exhausted, Emmett crashed on top of his lover, burying his nose in her scented but tangled hair. When he’d caught his breath, he whispered into her ear, “Breakfast?”

She chuckled, and he couldn’t help thinking that it was a sound he could definitely get used to, just as he could stand to wake up like this every day. One sub in the kitchen making coffee and one in his bed to take the edge off waking and to set the mood for the day.

  Chapter 6

Shawn had prepared breakfast to the point of perfection. He’d made the special blend of coffee Emmett preferred but that r
equired a careful preparation by hand to reveal its particular, fine aroma. He’d baked the thick, fluffy pancakes Emmett loved and drenched them in maple syrup until they were soaked with the sticky sweetness, saving a small pile for Copper since he didn’t know how she liked them. He’d also cut up several pieces of exotic fruit and had arranged them into little vitamin-loaded, energising heaps of temptation.

Everything was just the way he knew Emmett loved it, and when Emmett and Copper finally emerged from the bedroom, well over an hour after Shawn had left it, one look into his Master’s contented face was enough to tell him that his efforts were appreciated.

But Master Emmett was in a generous mood. “Good boy,” he praised and stopped to give Shawn a gentle but nonetheless possessive kiss. “If you keep going at this rate, I’ll have to set you some new tasks to keep you on your toes and make earning treats a bit harder for you or you’ll end up a very spoiled sub.”

Hiding his delight at the praise, Shawn lowered his head. “Your contentment is the greatest reward I could hope for, Sir,” he said with quiet earnest.

“I know, Shawn, and that is what makes you the wonderful sub you are. But you know me. There should always be room for improvement.” Chuckling, he smacked Shawn’s arse on the way to the breakfast table.

Apparently realising that Copper had been watching their exchange with unconcealed curiosity, he turned to her and smiled. “Don’t worry, precious. The basic rules will be the same for you, but I wouldn’t require the same standard from you as I do from Shawn. At least not in the beginning. But let’s not worry about that now. Enjoy the fantastic creation he has made for us.”

They settled around the table and began to eat. Shawn noticed to his delight that Copper, although she only picked tentatively at her food to start with, soon developed a healthy appetite and even accepted the second helping Emmett offered her.

“Good girl,” Emmett said. “You will have to keep your energy levels up if you want to be a match for the two of us.”

Shawn perked up at the words. He didn’t generally meet his Master’s eye, nor did he question anything Sir decided, but he couldn’t accept this in silence. “Permission to speak freely, Sir?” he asked quietly.

Emmett smiled and nodded. “Of course. My mistake. I should have expected you to wish to discuss this, but I thought it could wait until after breakfast.”

“It can if that is what you want, Sir,” Shawn replied.

“I know, but is it what you want?”

Shawn sighed and took a moment to consider his answer. He knew he was not only allowed to, but expected to speak his mind. Sir didn’t demand blind obedience and always took Shawn’s thoughts and concerns into consideration.

“I know we have talked about it before,” Shawn said slowly. “So it’s not a surprise as such although I do feel a little…I don’t know. Overwhelmed, I think you could call it. I guess I just wasn’t expecting it to really happen, let alone so soon.” Even as he said the words, Shawn realised he didn’t express his feelings very well, but it was too late. The damage was done, and the carefree, positive atmosphere turned into embarrassed silence, hunched shoulders, and downcast eyes on Copper’s side of the table and a carefully taxing, lingering stare from Master Emmett along with a thoughtful expression on his face.

“Does that mean you no longer wish to have a ménage relationship?” Emmett asked, sounding as perfectly calm and composed as if he’d enquired about the weather.

“I haven’t said that.” Shawn shifted on his chair.

“No, I know you haven’t,” Master Emmett said. “But I have asked it, and I’d appreciate it if you answered my question.”

“I just…I’m still willing to give it a try,” Shawn replied reluctantly.

“But? Come on, Shawn, don’t make me fish for every word.”

“I’m worried that it might break us up if we try,” Shawn blurted out. “We’ve only just begun to find our places in this relationship and establish our dynamic. Adding a third now would mean destroying what we’ve built and rearranging everything.”

  “And you don’t want that?”

“I…” Shawn fell silent. How could he admit to his fears without seeming needy and clingy? Sir knew of his insecurities and had so far always made sure not to drag Shawn out of his comfort zone, but then Shawn’s emotional baggage had never been in direct competition to Master’s wishes.

  “Shawn?”

Shawn felt his Master’s gaze upon him, but he couldn’t make himself move.

“Shawn, look at me.” The order was given in a gentle tone, but Shawn recognised the urgency behind it. Raising his head, he looked up and met Master Emmett’s gaze.

“Good boy. Now tell me what you think.”

Shawn fought an internal struggle. Could he confide his fears in his Master, or would that only push the man he loved away?

“I don’t want to lose you, Em,” he choked out. “I couldn’t stand it, not again. I know you’re longing for a woman, but I’m not sure I’ll be able to function in a relationship like that. You’re the most important person in my life, and I don’t want to take the risk of letting anything—or anyone—come between us. Losing you hurts too much.”

Emmett got up and walked around the table then he pulled out the chair next to Shawn’s, turning it so he could sit facing Shawn. He settled and took Shawn’s hands in his. “I love you, Shawn. You know that, and nothing or no one can change that, even though I can’t promise you undying love. No one can. Our lives are a journey. We don’t reach a point and simply stop, and relationships are just like that. We’ve reached a stage where we are happy, and I understand that you don’t want to endanger that, but as long as we love each other and get along, nothing we do will break us up.”

Shawn fought down the stupid tears that stung the backs of his eyes and blocked his throat, and he stuck out his chin defiantly. “How can you say that? It’s happened before.”

“I know, Shawn, but that was different. What happened with Amanda was—”

“Nothing I couldn’t see happen again!” Shawn snapped. “You wanted her, and it made you blind to what we had. You chose her over me, and it wasn’t until she kicked you out that you took me back!”

“That’s not quite right,” Emmett said. Although his tone remained calm, Shawn could tell that the other man was upset by the strained expression in his eyes.

“What isn’t?” Disappointment and jealousy were making it impossible for Shawn to keep himself under control. “That you wanted her more than you did me or that you only got back to me after it was over with her?”

A muscle twitched underneath Emmett’s eye. “Shawn, that’s enough.”

“Oh, is it?” Shawn pushed to his feet so fast he almost knocked over the chair and then glared down at Emmett. “Why? Because you know everything I’m going to say or because you don’t care anyway?”

Emmett rolled his eyes. “Shawn, stop it!”

“Tell me! Do you even really care about me, or was it just the most comfortable option to return to me and pick up where we left off rather than find something new?”

“Bloody hell, Shawn!” Emmett thundered and rose. “You’re a wonderful guy, a fantastic sub, you—”

“Oh, is that it?” Shawn interrupted him, beside himself with rage and hurt. “Of course it is. She wasn’t submissive, and you couldn’t stand it. You need someone to boss around, don’t you? Far more than someone to love.”

The words hung heavy in the silence that followed. Emmett stared at Shawn, motionless except for the heaving of his chest. “I returned to you and begged you to take me back because I love you,” he said at last. “And I still do. It’s true that I need someone to boss around, as you call it. I’m a Dominant. It’s in my nature, just as it is in yours to submit and obey. I’ve told you my view on the topic. Frankly, I don’t understand why you’re kicking such a fuss now, but if everything you just said is true, then maybe I’m just wasting my time trying to talk sense into you. Maybe
you just need some time to yourself. Time and space to think.”

Shawn’s heart sank. He knew exactly what was happening. It was the very thing he’d dreaded all along, the thing he’d dreaded the most. “You’re breaking up with me?” he choked out.

Emmett sighed. “No. No, I’m not breaking up with you. Not over something stupid like this. I just think you need some quiet time, and you shall have it. That’s all.”

Shawn swallowed and squared his shoulders. “Fine. Let’s spend time thinking.”

He heard Emmett shuffle barefoot across the floor. Shawn had sat again, his back turned to Emmett. He couldn’t make himself watch his lover go. Even if it was supposed to be just for a limited time, the sight brought back too many memories. Bad memories. Memories that had nearly sent him into a pit of darkness for eternity. The loud bang when the door fell shut behind Emmett made Shawn flinch, but he refused to look up. How could things have gone so terribly wrong in just a few minutes?

  Chapter 7

“Oh God,” Shawn groaned. “I can’t believe I made him go!”

“Shh. He’s not gone for good. You heard what he said.”

Shawn looked at Copper. She met his gaze with a mixture of embarrassment and sympathy in her beautiful, green eyes.

“I know, but…Fuck, why did I have to throw such a hissy fit? I didn’t even mean most of what I said.”

She tilted her head to the side. “Didn’t you? You sounded like you meant it.” She winced. “I’m sorry. Would you rather I go? I’d just have to get dressed first.”

“No. No, it’s okay. I’m sorry you had to hear all this. I don’t even know why I freaked out like that.”

Copper shrugged. “Because you care about him. It’s human.”

Shawn expelled a long sigh. “Yes, probably, but I wish I were a little less human and more what Sir wants me to be.”

“Hmm. I only just met the two of you, but from what I’ve seen so far, you’re exactly what he wants.”

“Oh, I don’t know. I seem to be so needy. I’m happiest when he looks after me and tells me what to do.”
