The king paused and told Iron it is time for the second sentencing. I will sentence you to the dragon’s lair. Norman dragged Iron Steel out of the room after the brief moment of sentencing and, Bedlam said

under his breath, “Now he’s mine!” Bedlam said this with a snicker.

Chapter Nine: The Death of Norman, and the two guards, The Dungeon

After Iron Steel was sentenced to the Dragon’s Lair by King Haggoth, the guard started to drag him down the corridor to the dungeon. The corridor to the dungeon looks like a long hallway that has black and moldy brick. The conditions were very musty in the corridor towards the dungeon. Lining the corridor on the bottom about two feet up from the ground were rings. The rings color was a metallic black and rusted color. The rings were in the corridor on either side was to hold the hostiles before they ended up in the dungeon. The guards would chain the hostiles to the walls, while they’re waiting to be placed in the dungeon.

About Eight feet from the ground were torches. These torches were used to provide light to the guards who would view what was going on inside of the dungeon. Now, as Norman dragged Iron Steel down the dungeon corridor, he (Iron Steel) pretended not to resist.

However, when Norman’s grip on the dragon started to weaken, Iron Steel struck at the perfect time. He started to bite Norman’s metallic uniform and, Iron started to act very animalistic and irrational. Iron Steel said to Norman, “Let me go now!” Norman shouted, “No way!”

Steel said, “Yes!” He reiterated, “Let me go now!”

  Norman said, “No!”

Iron Steel said, “I’d hate to be you right

now!” Norman said, “Why? What are you trying to threaten me?”

Iron Steel said, “No!” However, he was lying. Iron Steel started to bite Norman’s metallic uniform some more. And, Iron Steel made an opening in Norman’s uniform. Iron Steel penetrated Norman’s skin. A sharp dragon tooth entered right through Norman’s skin and flesh.

Iron Steel let go of Norman, and then he bit him again. Except, this second bite would be a bone-crushing bite. Blood started to gush out of Norman’s trapezoid muscle. The scene was a gruesome scene.

  Norman screamed “Guards!”

Two fellow guards started to rush towards the grim scene.

Iron Steel was still near Norman and he was sucking the blood out of Norman’s injury. Now, Iron Steel is turning into a vampire. There were two guards behind Iron Steel and, the guards said, “Halt! What do you think you’re doing?” Iron Steel turned around and was drooling blood. This was a disgusting scene. He said, “I don’t know what you’re looking at.” One of the guards subdued Iron Steel while another one, aided Norman. Norman was limping down the corridor and, as he was limping, a loud thud was heard. Norman fell to the floor.

The guard who came to Norman’s side said, “Stay here. You’ll be safe. I’ll get a doctor who can help you.” A medieval doctor started to run towards the fallen patient. Norman lost a lot of blood. The medieval doctor told Norman, “I am sorry to say, but, you’re not going to make it unfortunately.” Norman could barely speak. His voice was with a whisper, “What do you mean I’m not going to make it?” After Norman asked that question, he fainted. The paranoid guard frantically asked, “Is he dead?”

The paranoid guard reiterated this question to the doctor three times. The doctor told him, “Hold it there!” The guard said, “How can I hold it if he might be dead?” The medieval doctor said, “He might not be dead!” The medieval doctor put his hand around his wrist to check his pulse. The medieval doctor said, “No pulse.” The guard started pacing and breathing heavily. The medieval doctor then checked his heartbeat. After the doctor checked his heartbeat, he didn’t hear a beat. The doctor then told the guard, “no beat.” Then the doctor tried to resuscitate the patient. After the doctor tried to resuscitate his patient approximately two hundred times, the patient was declared deceased. The patient was declared deceased at the approximate time of four o’clock! The doctor told the guard, “I hate to break the news to you, but, your friend Norman has died!” The guard fainted. The doctor carried the deceased body down the main corridor and to the king.

King Haggoth said, “What do you mean he’s dead, who is he?” The doctor said, “That’s Norman!” The king said, “Norman, as in my most trustworthy, chivalrous, daring, courageous, and strong soldier?” The medieval doctor said, “Yes, I am pretty sure!” The king said, “What do you mean, you’re pretty sure?” The medieval doctor said, “Well, about fifteen minutes ago, I received him as a patient. Not a single person made me aware of this person’s identity.” The king said, “You should’ve been aware of this soul’s identity. What are you stupid?” The Doctor said, “Well, I got a Doctorate Degree at the University of Hagelhorf.”

The King replied, “Well, I believe your degree should be revoked at least in this kingdom.” The medieval doctor said in nervousness, “Are you going to revoke my medical license?” The king answered, “No!” The medieval doctor asked, “Why aren’t you going to revoke my license?” The king said, “The reason why I am not going to revoke your license is because of the fact that if I am sick or injured, you will not be able to take care of me. Now, no further questions okay!” The medieval doctor replied, “Okay.” Now, the king said, “Let’s get to the next thing.”

The king called the squire or his trustworthy royal servants.

The squire reported to the king and the king ordered the squire to prepare the deceased soul’s body. The squire took the body to the mortician and the mortician examined the body. After that, the funeral took place of the dead body. A ceremony was held at the castle forecourt, and the king said some kind and remarkable words, “Dearly beloved, we are gathered here today to mourn the loss of a brave, loyal, trustworthy, and chivalrous man. This man died for the protection of this place as well as the protection of other places.

As such, the places that he protected were the Magic Castle, Kinville, and Serfille. He won several battles over in those lands, and thus, those lands became part of the Magic Castle. Now, we are not only here to mourn the death of this kind hearted and strong soul.

However, we are here to celebrate his life. This soul lived a lengthy and happy life. I believe, he deserves a lot of respect and, therefore, we will preserve him in our minds. Now, the next person who will be coming up to read is his brother Waldon.” Waldon walked up and read his own speech, “My bro, teammate, mentor, and Norman, you were the best sibling I had. The best military man that ever worked with me, the best teammate that I ever had, a brilliant mentor in my training for the protection of this domain, and a great mentor in my life. Norman, I miss you.” Waldon finished his speech.

As he walked down from the castle forecourt stage, a tear left his eye. King Haggoth returned to the stage and said, “It is now time to put the soul in the mausoleum.” The mortician, who was present at the funeral removed the body from the casket and put the body in a tomb. He wrapped the body up in cloth and, the body, was placed in a tomb after the body was wrapped in cloth. Everyone who was present at the funeral, serfs, royalty, townspeople, and residents of the Magic Castle walked all the way to the mausoleum.

The mausoleum had the coat of arms hanging from the tomb.

The coat of arms was Norman’s coat of arms. Norman’s coat of arms was a humble plain silver background with a color of green and yellow. The green was a dark green color. The dark green color symbolized the color of agility. Norman was very good at hiding in the swampland surrounding the castle and the yellow symbolizes the fact that he had a heart of gold for the people of the conquered lands and that he was a very strong person.

He was strong like a warrior. The king said before the tomb was placed into the mausoleum even more words about this man’s life, “This coat of arms is to symbolize the achievements of Norman’s life. Norman had the strength of a Lion and had the agility of a snake.

The Yellow straps on the coat of arms show the strength of a Lion that he possesse
d. The dark green color is a symbol to show the fact that he was as slippery as a snake. Also, the yellow represents the heart of gold he had towards the people that he’d conquered. This person was a truly a remarkable gentleman.” The mortician slid the deceased soul in the mausoleum. All of the townspeople had a feast with the king, and the doctor returned to the guard who’d fainted earlier. As the doctor was returning, he stumbled upon a note. The note said,

  Dear Comrade,

I have some very bad news. The dragon has not been subdued and, he’s in a fiery and feisty mood today. He has already killed Norman and now he is trying to go after my fellow guard. If this is Dr. Driek (the medieval doctor) reading this, then you better come over here right now. If you don’t come over here, then, the Magic Castle is going to be taken over by this beastly creature. Whether, you are a serf, member of the Royal Family, Guard, or a resident of the Magic Castle reading this, you should run down the corridor to save the Magic Castle. However, the person who I am addressing this letter to is Dr. Driek.

  Sincerely,

Your fellow comrade, one of the lesser knights at the Magic Castle The future of the Magic Castle rests in Dr. Driek’s hands. Dr.

Driek says to himself “I must run to the scene.” Dr. Driek runs to the scene and another guard gets killed by Iron Steel. Dr. Driek personally witnesses the blood thirsty dragon eating another human being. Iron Steel broke loose of his chains and swooped his paw at the guard who was subduing him.

After that, he gulped the guard. Dr. Driek was horrified at what he had seen. Dr. Driek ran to the alchemy lair to pull up a knockout remedy very quickly. Dr. Driek dashed towards his library and ransacked all of the books that were inside his library of medicines. The knockout medicine he pulled out was Silidron medicine. Silidron medicine is a medicine that puts a living soul to sleep.

Dr. Driek said to the guard, “I need you to throw the jester in the dungeon for me, while I put the medicine in the cup.” The guard ran down the corridor and put Tom Jackson in the dungeon. Tom Jackson started to resist the guard. After five minutes of verbal confrontation, he (Tom Jackson) is thrown in the dungeon. The guard closes the door. Jackson tells the guard, “What the hell is wrong with you? Is there something,” The guard interrupted and said, “No! I’m just simply doing my job!”

The guard started to walk away from Tom Jackson, and then Tom Jackson said, “You didn’t let me finish.” The guard stopped walking, turned around, and walked back to the dungeon where Jackson was being held. The guard said to Jackson, “I don’t know why I should be saying this but, I’m sorry for interrupting you. Now, say whatever the hell you have to say and get it over with.” So Tom Jackson replied, “Thank you! Now, is there something wrong with you because the last I checked, you didn’t have your mind checked?”

The guard said, “I think that there is something wrong with your head. You are twisted, and a fool. You think you can do whatever you want, whenever you want. However, the one who is in charge of you is I. I am in charge of you. Who do you think you are to tell me what to do when I am the one who is in charge of you right now? The guard closed the window on the audacious hostile. Now, the doctor ran down the hallway to secure the crazy dragon. A loud noise was heard. It was the dragon. The dragon Iron Steel.

The ferocious dragon said, “Come to Papa!”

  The dragon

basically said come to get me. What the dragon did not know was something else was coming at him. It was a remedy. As the doctor approached the dragon, the dragon swung his tail at the doctor. Right behind Dr. Driek was the guard. Dr. Driek tossed the potion on the dragon. The potion fell on the floor and the brilliant doctor and the strong guard resiliently bounced away from the potion. Iron Steel said, “What’s that? That smells like dragon food?”

He sniffed the liquid from the potion and fell asleep. The guard and the doctor in a collaborative effort tossed Iron Steel into the dungeon. The guard said to Dr. Driek, “This beast is much worse than the serpents that live adjacent to the Magic Castle. This was the worst creature that I’ve ever witnessed being wrestled, and it is all ‘cause of you that this castle is safe. Congratulations!”

Dr. Driek replied, “You don’t have to congratulate me. I already receive enough adulation as is. Besides, it’s my job and all of the citizen’s jobs to protect this castle. A loud banging noise came from the bottom of the dungeon in the Magic Castle. This noise was Tom Jackson.Tom was banging on the concrete walls and, the guard opened the window of the dungeon entry and said, “What on earth are you doing?”

Jackson answered, “This ain’t over. It ain’t over! I’ll show you who’s boss!” Jackson has a very tough guy personality. Eventually, the guard and Dr. Driek left the dungeon.

Meanwhile, Iron Steel and Tom Jackson are in the dungeon.

The dungeon is not your typical medieval dungeon. This dungeon has only one window that is used as a peeping hole. This window was impossible to get out of for most prisoners, and most of the prisoners were hostiles from wars and people who were belligerent to the king, the squire, or anyone who belonged to the royal house of the Magic Castle. This dungeon was shaped like a cave. There was no concrete.

It was just pure rock. The dungeon was located underneath the Magic Castle. It was guarded by snakes that were rattlers and the king’s dragon.

The king’s dragon Bedlam, the con artist who would pretend to be nice to the king and the people who lived in the Magic Castle, but was nasty to the outsiders. Often, this dungeon would flood. The hostiles were only given one raw steak a day. They were treated like low lives. To King Haggoth, the hostiles were considered nobodies and below the category of animals. The sentence was harsh. Once again, Iron Steel was knocked out unconscious. Night time was falling, and Tom Jackson was calling his friend’s first name only. He started kicking his friend. Not a single response from that stimulus.

The dragon appeared to be sleeping due to Dr. Driek’s knockout method with his potion.

Now Tom Jackson did whatever he could to wake the dragon up. The first thing that he did was call the dragon’s name like he didn’t want to be called. The name that he (Tom Jackson) addressed his friend Iron Steel by was Mr. Steel which he knew would get him going. He kept yelling that name. He yelled that name in his twelve inch ear. That plan didn’t work. The next plan that would work was kicking him. Tom kicked Iron’s eight foot long right leg. He kept kicking it and it started to bruise. The second task didn’t work.

Followed by that, he took a loose stone, and tried to throw it at his friend. He was basically beating his friend involuntarily. This wouldn’t work. Nothing seemed to work. The last thing that Tom Jackson did was start climbing the rocks. The dungeon was a cave, the terrain was very rugged. It was hard to get from one place to another in the dungeon. He started climbing the rugged wall up to the door.

He ran up to the metallic door and started banging on it and screaming, “My friend is unconscious, my friend is unconscious!” A guard came over and opened the slot. The guard said, “What’s wrong?” Tom said, “My friend is unconscious and, I don’t know if he is dead!” The guard said, “Let me send the medical examiner over there!” Dr. Driek came over there. Dr. Driek said, “Your friend is deceased, eh?” Tom said, “I think so. I am not too sure! How did he end up like this?”

Dr. Driek said, “I will be right back with my syringe to find out how this situation happened.” Dr. Driek started climbing up the rocky terrain to go back to his lab, as he really said he was. He shut the dungeon door and walked over to the guard that had tossed Tom into the dungeon. He shut the trap door so that way Tom wouldn’t find out how Iron Steel “fell asleep.” The guard said this, “Well, why don’t you get the syringe like you promised him so that way he would find out how this happened. Immediately, tell him, an alibi. The alibi you will tell him is that he got bitten by the serpents near the castle and that he was poisoned by the filthy, bacteria-infested swampy waters. Now, how does my plan sound?” Dr. Driek said, “It sounds
like a perfect plan.”

An evil snicker left Dr. Driek’s face. Dr. Driek continued, “Now, it’ll be time to execute that plan, of course, after I retrieve the syringe and the needle.” A sinister smile had shown on Dr. Driek’s face. The guard remained in front of the door, and then started to pace back and forth in the corridor. Meanwhile, Dr. Driek walked over to his messy science lab. His science lab featured books thrown on the floor and one of the most crucial books that he had was the Science of Potions and Wizardry, which he stole from Foxworth. Foxworth is the wizard from the Magic Castle who often uses spells to liberate people of their problems.

The other books Dr. Driek had were the Laws of Physics, which was about how simple laws worked like the law of gravity and the law of motion which both methods were invented by Sir Isaac Newton. This was a book that he had retrieved from planet Earth, whilst on his visit to Planet Earth. The next book he had that was torn in half was the guide to the Magic Castle. Lucky for him, this book was buried underneath some of the books. The reason why he ripped the book in half is because he didn’t need the book after residing at the castle for thirty lengthy years.

Dr. Driek ransacked his potion library and, behind the potion library were syringes. These syringes didn’t look like generic syringes. The syringes that Dr. Driek had were very thin and long.

They were not transparent. So, the liquid that would’ve been taken is the liquid from the syringes. The liquid from the syringes would have to be poured out to see what the substance would look like. Because the needles were hidden behind the potion bottles he had to get every potion bottle and gingerly place it on the floor. From there, he turned around and a needle pinched him.
