The room was instantly bathed in a soft glow. Enough so she could study him and see the desire for her that shown in his hazel eyes. Her heart pounded. Blood pulsed through her veins spreading warmth and deep yearning. The effects of her essence had faded after their coupling. What remained now were raw emotions. She found she wanted much more from Blake than simply fathering her child.

“Blake do you find me attractive?”

His gaze traveled down. Her skirt was still bunched up around her waist. Her fur covered folds were fully exposed. “All of me Blake. Not just that.”

His head jerked up and focused on her eyes. “Without question. All of you.”

They came together once more, arms wrapped around each other and kissed. Placing her palms on his shoulders, she gently pushed him away, then smoothed her skirt down. “I have a confession to make to you Blake. The females of my species have an ability too…we have the power to make ourselves irresistible to males. It’s how we have managed to propagate our race over the years even though deaths were many. I can exude pheromones at will and wrap them around a male compelling him to have sex with me. This ability is effective on human males too.” She shifted her eyes to the floor and her voice dropped to a whisper, “I used my ability on you. I’m sorry. When we made love, it should have been because you wanted to and not because you were being compelled to do it. I will not do it again. You have every right to hate me for what I’ve done.”

Blake smiled. “So that is what I felt. My other ability is that of empathy. I can sense emotions of those that I touch. I didn’t know what it was, but I could feel your essence surrounding me when we were making love. I could also sense your strong emotions. I’m still feeling them.” Reaching out, he stroked his knuckles across her cheek gently. “You care deeply for me. I’m not under your influence right now so I can say this and be truthful. We may have just met, but I have strong feelings for you too.”

“So what should we do next?” she asked.

“My mind is telling me to leave. What is happening between us is moving too fast. My heart is saying something else entirely.”

Her lips curled. “And which is going to win. Your mind or your heart?”

“You have a bed there in the next room. I think we should avail ourselves of it. This time without any clothes on.” Taking her hand he led the way. “Oh and, Tantara, you’re welcome to surround me with your essence. I like the feeling. Just know I’m not being compelled to make love to you. I’m doing it because I want to.”

  CHAPTER TWENTY TWO

Blake slipped out of bed, dressed and let himself out of the house. Dawn was just starting to brighten the horizon. “I’ll see you next weekend,” Tantara whispered although she knew he wouldn’t hear her words.

Beneath her, the sheets were bunched and crumpled. She lay crossways on the bed with her arms and legs splayed wide. She was too tired and worn to even move. Her clothes and boots were spread around the room where he had tossed them when he undressed her. Last night she had experienced something she hadn’t even known existed. He had brought her to climax so many times she had lost count. Blake’s stamina was amazing. Even now a delicious, wonderful soreness was starting to spread through her core.

A sigh of complete, utter satisfaction tumbled from her lips. Her upper lip curled into a smile. I have to find my blazer and his jacket. They didn’t make the trip when he teleported us. I’m too exhausted to move right now. I’m just going to lay here for a while and savor the memories.

  ***

The five days before the weekend seemed to last forever even though she kept busy and attentive at work. Guilt gnawed at her. She didn’t tell Kat. She was unsure how Kat would react knowing she had seduced her son.

And that was what it was the first time. I seduced him.

She paced the living room Friday night, looking out the windows often and casting glances at the door. Waiting anxiously for his arrival. Blake lived in another town and she had no idea how long it would take to travel between. She just knew she wanted him to hurry.

“You have a message,” the house computer announced, “Shall I read it aloud or would you rather read it on the monitor?”

  “Read it aloud,” she said.

“It’s from Blake,” the computer said. “Something has come up at the plant that requires my attention. Regrettably, I will be unable to make it tonight. I will be there first thing in the morning if that is okay.”

Her heart plummeted to her stomach. She choked out. “Computer send a return message. Tell him I understand. Tell him I will miss him tonight, but will look for him in the morning.”

“Yes, ma’am. It has been sent.”

After spending a long evening watching TV, she went to bed. She tossed and turned restlessly, but finally went to sleep. Early the next morning the house computer woke her.

“Blake asks if you are decent and wish company.”

She glanced down at herself and chuckled. She wasn’t wearing a stitch of clothing. “Computer, tell him that I am decidedly indecent, but will be dressed when he gets here.”

Moments later she received a reply. “Stay indecent, I’ll be right there.”

Shaking her head, Tantara padded to the kitchen and ordered coffee. After glancing out the window, she saw it was just starting to brighten on the horizon, she turned to head for her room. The door announced Blake was there waiting admittance.

Tantara laughed. She wasn’t dressed yet. “Admit,” she said.

The door slid open. Blake stood at the entrance for a moment gawking.

“You said indecent,” she reminded him and smiled.

Crossing the room he swept her into his arms. “I missed you, my beautiful little cat.” He took turns nuzzling her ears and kissing them before kissing her on the mouth.

“I didn’t see you coming or I would have greeted you at the door.”

“You forget. I can teleport. I came here straight from the factory. I’m starved. What’s to eat?”

  “You were there all night?”

  “Yes.”

“I’ll fix breakfast, then you sleep.”

  “Tantara…”

  She cut him off. “Sleep.”

“Yes, ma’am,” he grinned, “So what are your plans for this weekend?”

She gazed up into his eyes. “Besides spending it with you…no plans.”

She guided him to the kitchen table, ordered him some juice, toast and scrambled eggs, then sat across from him. When he finished, she took his hand and guided him into the bedroom. After stripping him, she climbed into bed and motioned him to join her. She cuddled her back to him and a sigh of contentment rolled from her.

Blake brushed his lips over the nape of her neck sending shivers of delight racing through her. His hand smoothed up and down the curves of her sides coming to a stop on her hip bone. “You’re so soft and warm.”

She giggled. “That’s because I’m covered in fur, babe.”

“So smooth. I love the way you feel.”

“I can tell.” She snuggled her butt tighter to his groin.

His hand slipped forward and pressed against her tummy.

“I didn’t get much sleep last night either, Blake. We need to rest. We can make love when we wake. Get some sleep, hon.”

“Okay.” His voice was drowsy. He kissed her neck a few more times, then his hand stopped caressing her stomach. His breathing changed to the slow deep breaths of slumber.

“Computer,” she addressed into the air. “Wake us at noon.”

Her hand covered his on her stomach and she closed her eyes. With Blake cuddled up to her she felt so relaxed, so contented.

I think I’m falling in love with him already. I don’t just want his baby anymore, were her last thoughts.

  ***

“There’s a nice little restaurant I’d like to take y
ou to…” he started when they woke.

“Blake, there’s something I want to ask of you. For now at least, I think we should keep this growing relationship of ours a secret. Especially from your mother. I don’t know if she would approve.”

“I’m not ashamed of my feelings for you. I don’t care if others see us together.”

“Please. I’m not ashamed to be seen with you either, but I feel so guilty about that first night. The first time we…”

“I don’t regret our first time. Nor any time after that.”

  “Please.”

“What you’re asking is going to be very difficult. Have you forgotten who my mother is? She’ll know if we’re seen anywhere in public.”

“Please. I’m begging you. Just until we can figure out how to tell her.” She crawled out of bed and stood looking down at him.

“Fine.” There was disgust in his voice, but he agreed. “There’s this quiet little place I know. It’s by a lake. We can swim and have a picnic. You do swim don’t you? I know Earth cats hate water.”

She snorted. “Yes I swim. My face may look like an Earth cat’s, but I’m not one.” She waved her hand over herself. “Is this the body of an Earth cat?”

Blake climbed to his feet and pulled her into embrace. “You most assuredly don’t have the body of any cat I’ve ever seen. So it’s decided. Do you have a kini?”

  “Kini?”

“Kini is short for bikini. A two piece swim suit.”

“Oh. Yes I think Rayne picked some out for me although they are scandalously brief.”

He winked. “The more scandalous the better in my book.”

Grinning, she slapped him on the arm. “Dial up some wine and something to eat while I change. Oh, and Blake, keep those lustful thoughts of yours in the front of your mind, I may have use for them later.”

He pulled on his clothes and left the room to get a drink. “Tantara,” he hollered at the bedroom where she was changing. “I’ll be right back. I need to teleport to my house and change.”

She stepped to the door and looked out. She had already removed her top. “You make sure you come right back. And Blake, is it possible for you to teleport into my house instead of outside the door?”

“Yes. As long as I have your permission to do so. You need to tell the house computer to grant me access.”

“Computer,” she spoke into the air. “Blake is to have full access inside this house at any time.” She smiled. “Is that sufficient?”

“That will do fine.” He vanished.

Thirty minutes later he returned. Suddenly he was standing in the middle of the living room. His long pants and shirt were gone. He wore an unbuttoned beach shirt and tight swim trunks. In her opinion the trunks he wore showed him off deliciously. In one hand he carried a picnic basket with a folded blanket in the other.

Together they filled the basket with food, utensils and a bottle of wine. “Hold these.” He handed her the basket and blanket then stepped behind her and wrapped his arms around her belly. “Are you ready?”

“I was born ready.” She giggled.

A moment later she was looking out over a beautiful lake. The grassy shore tapered gradually to the water. Trees with large green leaves shaded the open space. Bright sunlight gleamed off the calm water. Taking the blanket from her, he spread it on the ground and set the basket beside it.

“I guess the first thing I need to do is prove to you I’m not afraid of water.” She untied and removed her robe and then the sarong around her waist, tossing them at him.

  ***

He couldn’t resist the wolf whistle that burst from his lips. The tiny triangles of shiny black material covered her nipples and her sex…barely.

“I hope that whistle is a signal of approval.” She grinned.

  “Oh yeah.”

“How deep is the water just off shore?”

“Right in front of us it drops off gradually, but over there,” he pointed to the side where the shore dipped in forming a small cove, “it’s about five feet deep a short distance from shore.”

“Fine.” Turning she raced across the grass toward the deep part. He watched her bare butt and well toned legs. At the shore’s edge she launched into the air and made a graceful dive into the water. When she surfaced, she was about fifteen feet off shore. Swimming back, she came toward him water dripping from her fur. “Satisfied?”

“Babe, there is only a remote resemblance between you and any Earth cat. I would like to say this though, you have the cutest orange and black butt I’ve ever seen.”

She chuckled. “It’s no doubt the only one like that you’ve ever seen. It better be the only bare female butt you ever see again.” She brushed the shirt from his shoulders and pressed her wet fur against him. “And now I think it’s time you got wet.”

She lay on her stomach, sipping a glass of wine. He smoothed his hand over the fur on her back. It was feather soft to the touch. The orange was broken up by haphazard patterns of black stripes like a tigers. His hand moved down and glided over one soft mound.

“The fur on your back is so soft, my beautiful tigress.”

She giggled. “That isn’t my back you’re touching.”

“No, but it’s equally soft and just as fur covered.”

“I’m so happy. Maybe I should purr in contentment like a kitty.”

  He swatted her butt gently.

“Purr, purr. Would you mind untying my top?”

“Why? You don’t tan,” he said, while he undid the bows on her back and around her neck.

She downed her wine in a single gulp and tossed the empty glass to the side. When she rolled to her back, her top remained on the blanket. “No I don’t tan. I have something else in mind.” She held up her hands in supplication. “This tigress needs her tiger to make love to her some more.”

They spent the day, swimming, playing, drinking wine, eating and making love. The sun was dipping down on the western horizon. Rays glistened from the tiny wavelets giving them a golden hue. Gathering their items, she held them close while he teleported them home. The following day they spent hiking through the woods.

Monday it was back to the long work week for both. The following weekend he showed up with an aircar and they spent the entire time flying over Teelan viewing the magnificent sights and exploring.

By the end of the third weekend she knew she was in love with Blake. The way butterflies went mad in her stomach and her heart skipped a beat each time she saw him. Those feelings told her. Even better, she was certain she saw in his eyes, he shared the same feelings.

He often spent weekdays with her now. Sometimes they simply sat curled up in each other’s arms and watched movies or listened to music. Simple things. Things that two people in love do.

She stood from the breakfast table to face him before she left for work. He pulled her into his arms. Looking up at him her eyes shifted to each side gazing into his. “Blake, I’ve fallen in love with you,” she confessed.

He smiled. “Then that makes two of us that are in love.” Cupping her face with his hands, he drew her up on her tiptoes and pressed her lips to his. “Go to work, sweetheart. We’ll talk more about our feelings tonight.”

She floated out the door as if on wings to the waiting ground car.

  ***

Tantara rolled from bed and hurried to the bathroom where she promptly got sick. She didn’t give it much thought. She was trying so many different types of food she had never had before, it was reasonable that some of them would not agree with her. The next day and the day after were a repeat. She didn’t get sick anymore after the fourth day.

She padded back from the bath and looked down at him. Blake was fast asleep the sheet pulled down exposing the top of his cute butt. He spent almost every night here now and the entirety of each weekend. She grazed her hand over her
belly unconsciously and stopped. She rubbed across it once more. Racing back to the bath, she turned sideways and viewed herself in the mirror.

Her stomach was normally flat, but just below her navel, her belly protruded slightly. It was an unmistakable sign. She examined one nipple, yes it was darker black and tender. Lightly scratching her fingernail across its tip, it stiffened immediately. She hadn’t given that much thought. With Blake around, her nipples were hard most of the time.

Well Tantara, you got your wish. The operation was a success. You’re pregnant.

How was she going to tell him? Would he be angry? Should she tell Kat or let him? How was she going to explain she had used Blake to conceive? She was certain Kat would not be happy to learn that news. Whoever told Kat it would have to be soon. She could not hide her condition for long. The gestation period of her race was only four months. She especially couldn’t hide her condition from someone as observant as Kat.

She looked at her baby bump again. Judging from its size and the tenderness of her breasts, she judged she must be a month or even a month and a half along. In a very short time her belly would swell.

No, she had to tell Blake and probably Kat, and the sooner the better. I might as well get it over with.

She slipped on a knee-length skirt and then put on the loosest top she could find. After pulling on a pair of boots, she leaned down, kissed Blake’s ear and then whispered “Honey, I’m leaving for work now. You should get up soon. You have to be to work in a little while too.” Oh and by the way, I’m pregnant, she wanted to add.

  ***

All day long she tried to tell Kat, but each time fear constricted her throat and rendered her speechless. She did not tell Blake that night either. The next morning started much the same, with her wearing a loose fitting top.

They were engaged in an experiment when Kat suddenly stopped. Reaching out, Kat lifted her top in her unabashed manner and spotted the baby bump right away. She cocked an eyebrow.

“Tantara, do you have something to tell me?”

Terror shot through her. At last she found her voice. “The surgery worked. I have conceived.”
