I wasn’t certain whether that was meant as a joke or not, and as the Misses Bates could very well stumble over a body in their garden, or from the way Robbie was looking at the hitching post, behind the shrubbery by the Fellcroft, I hurried to get Milly into the carriage and on our way to London before anything else interesting could happen in Bath.
