  “There’s the stud.”

He looked up to see Melissa standing in the doorway. She’d folded her arms. Being an in-service day, the staff were permitted to wear whatever they wanted. The clingy T-shirt showcased her curves and gave him the sexy outline of her body.

“Something came in my mailbox today.” She waved a cardboard box in her hands. “I don’t suppose you know anything about this?”

He grinned. “Me?” So playing innocent wasn’t his strongest suit. Oh well. “Why would I send something to you here?”

“Because you know I’m nosy and would find it at the apartment.” She closed his classroom door, then stalked across the room toward him. Fire lit in her eyes and she clutched the box in white-knuckled hands.

Adam propped his feet on the edge of his desk. Having her move in with him had been a stroke of genius. One less apartment to pay for. The cat worked out well as a guard animal. Guarding them from what, he wasn’t sure. Plus the easy access to Melissa suited him perfectly. No need to plan when to play. All he had to do was ask.

“I’m dying here.” She moved his feet long enough to squeeze between him and the desk, then sat on the chipped particle board. “The ladies in the office were stunned. They wanted to know what was in here. I swore I couldn’t tell them in case…”

“I would never have something for that sent here.” Hell no. If he bought her something for their games, he’d buy it online and have it sent to the apartment. Better yet, he’d pick it out himself at the adult store an hour away. “Well? What is it?”

Melissa jabbed one of his pens in the tape holding the box shut. Within seconds, she tore the packaging away from the present. She held up the item, a framed bit of poetry.

Adam held his breath. He’d never written poetry in his life. Hopefully she would like it.

Melissa read the words out loud.

“Written in the wind, Written in the stars,

I know my heart, I know my soul,

No one completes me like you

No one understands me the way you do

We were written together and together we will be

  Forever you and me.”

She clutched the frame to her chest. “Adam.” Melissa stared at him. She opened her mouth and closed it, but no words came out.

Adam allowed himself to breathe, but kept up his guard. Did she like it? Hate it?

“This is the sweetest thing I’ve ever read.” She nudged his feet to the floor and plopped on his lap. “You wrote this?”

“From my heart.” He draped his arm around her waist. “Like it?”

“I love it.” She kissed him hard on the mouth. “I love you.” She rested her forehead on his. “We’re free to go as soon as we get the grades put in the computer.”

“Oh?” Someone forgot to give him that memo.

“Uh-huh and I’ve got a new dress to show you.” She rubbed her jean-covered pussy against the growing bulge in his pants. “Do you want to see my new dress and feel my appreciation for this poem?”

“I do.” He wanted to see and taste every inch of her delectable body all afternoon long. Hell, he might even spend all night pleasing the woman he craved.

  “Let’s go home.”

He patted her ass. He’d never get tired of Melissa. He loved her kinks, her nuances and the way she made him feel. They were definitely written together forever.

  About Wendi Zwaduk

Like spicy romance? So do I! Come along on this journey with me.

I’ve always dreamt of writing the stories in my head. Tall, dark and handsome heroes are my favorites, as long as they have independent women keeping them in line. I love playing with words and letting the characters run wild. Ohio farmland, dirt racing, animals and second chance romance all feature prominently in my books. I’ve got a fetish for faded concert tees, loud music and Jeeps.
