Finding Charity: Red Devils M.C. Page 8

Tick came in two hours later, he glared at the kitchen table she’d set for him and Max. Max wasn’t happy that she was going on a date tonight either. She felt like the two of them were giving her the cold shoulder. Unwilling to wait another minute, she told him she was going upstairs to get ready. He really glared at her then. She didn’t give a damn. The man was acting like he owned her, but he was the one who’d said this was just a bit of fun.

She headed upstairs. She spent about thirty minutes figuring out what to wear. Settling out a yellow sundress, and some sling back heels. She headed into the shower still nervous about telling Travis about her fling with Tick.

Tick watched as Charity left the kitchen headed up stairs to get ready for her date, which she hadn’t canceled. It didn’t matter, he wasn’t going to allow her to go out with that prat. He wasn’t getting anywhere near her. What the hell was she thinking?

She wasn’t going out with that man again. The idea of that dickheads hands on her soft skin made him feel homicidal. He didn’t understand his possessiveness. It didn’t make sense that he was getting nuts over her wanting to go out with another man. Was it that he was hard all day until he walked into his room and stripped her each night, or was it just a normal male territorial thing?

Was it that he liked the way she seemed to smooth out their lives. He liked coming home to find a meal cooked and later after she read to Max, that he was able to take her to his room and strip her naked. He didn’t even consider that he could find another house mouse and be done with Charity’s brand of trouble. That wasn’t even an option. Even though he wasn’t in a relationship with her the sex was fantastic. Didn’t she know how rare explosive chemistry like theirs was?

His decision made he looked at Max who’d just finished eating. “You want to stay over at Connor’s tonight.”

“Sure,” Max said before he ran off to his room to get his overnight bag.

Tick waited, then he walked Max over to Maria’s before heading back to the house. Maria and Colt had agreed that Max could stay with them tonight. So there wouldn’t be any interruptions to what he had planned. He walked up the stairs headed to the guest bathroom. He walked in without knocking. Charity was just stepping out of the shower. She wrapped a towel around herself.

“What are you doing in here?” She asked breathlessly. She was done, ha. She was so horny he could almost feel it. She looked at him with wide eyes. Her little nipples poked at the towel, making his cock twitch. They were far from done.

Charity knew that she was in trouble when she stepped out of the shower to find Tick in the bathroom. She knew that he didn’t want her to go out on this date, but she needed to protect her heart before she fell hopelessly in love with the man, and he broke her.

“You’re not going out with that dickhead,” He held out his cell phone. “Call him and tell him.” He demanded.

“Tick, I told you we have to end this. It isn’t going anywhere and I need to see if dating Travis will turn into something more. This…you and me it was a mistake. Go see a sweetbutt if you’re horny, one woman is just as good as another. I will not call him.” Charity told him.

Tick was livid. He was not happy that she was calling the last two weeks a mistake. He was so angry he had to take several calming breaths before speaking. When he finally managed it was between clenched teeth.

“Call him, now.” His voice vibrated with his anger. Charity didn’t reach for the phone making his head almost explode from the rage he felt. His. She was his.

Charity was shocked at how angry he was over her going out with Travis. Wasn’t he the one who’d sat her down and explained that they were casual so that she didn’t ‘Get confused about their relationship’, she thought.

“You’ll call him Charity, or I will. You’re not going out with that dickhead tonight, or any night in the near future.” Tick roared at her.

“You can’t say we’re casual then freak out when I end it. You also can’t insist that I can’t see other men. This is no longer working for me. We are not dating, Tick. Hell, I’m not even sure what the hell we were, but I do know this. I’m done. And tonight I’m going out with Travis. Now ge-…” Charity’s tirade was cut off by Tick scooping her onto his shoulder without another word.

His hand smacking her ass, hard.

Making her yelp. “What the hell are you doing, Tick? Max is downstairs.”

“No, he’s not. I took him over to Colt’s, he’s staying the night. I’m the only man who’s going to be taking care of your needs, and if we need to be dating in order for you not to go out with the dickhead. Then fine we’re fucking dating, and it’s definitely fucking exclusive.” Tick set her down in his room near the bed.

“You’ve lost your fucking mind, Tick.” She screamed at him. Then he reached out snatching the towel off her. Then he held the phone out to her.

“Last chance, baby girl. Call him, or I will take care of it my way.” Tick’s voice was heavy with warning.

Charity ignored it. “No I will not call him. You’re the one who said this wasn’t a relationship!” She yelled her hands on her hips, her breath sawing in and out of her lungs.

The bastard better get the fuck over himself. She moved towards the towel he’d thrown on the bed. “Go find a sweetbutt to handle your cock. I don’t want the damned thing anymore!” She roared.

“Fuck that, baby girl. You want it so bad you can barely stand it.” He growled, the anger that filled him at her insistence that she was done with him, made him feel a little unhinged. He slammed his mouth over hers. His tongue invaded her mouth taking over. His hands tilted her head for better access. She fought him, her hands slamming into his chest, pushing at him.

After a moment though her hands were clutching at his shoulders instead. She was making those soft mewling sounds she always made when he touched her, making him harder than he was already. His hands began sliding over her body, cupping her tight ass, caressing her breasts, sliding across her soft belly. He wanted to own her.

Charity tried to resist his forceful assault on her mouth. It only took a moment for her brain to become fogged with passion, and she clutched him to her unable to help herself. She wasn’t done with him. No matter how she’d tried to delude herself, she still wanted him for as long as she could get him. Moaning, she allowed him to caress her. She was such a pushover when it came to him, she thought wearily. She wanted to protest, only the man melted her insides.

Tick moved his hands away from her body to remove his clothes. He needed to be inside her now, his brain roared. He didn’t care what she thought, she wasn’t going anywhere near that prat again. If he had to meet the man at the door buck naked to get his point across he would. His hands ripped his cut and shirt off. He pushed pants down kicking them off before laying back on the bed with her beneath him. She was moaning, her body arching into him.

His hands moved to position himself at her entrance. She was running her hands over his chest, her fingers pinching his nipples as her mouth caressed his neck. Fuck that felt good, he thought, his hands cupping her breasts, his own mouth taking a tight peak in, sucking it. He’d never really liked women playing with his nipples, but there was something about the way Charity did that move that set his dick on fire. He thrust his harden cock into her with a roar. Groaning as he began to take her in hard driving strokes.

His mouth still kissing over her breast and up to her mouth. He was like a wild animal, slamming his body into hers. She wiggled and moaned as he thrust her hands clutching his shoulders as he took her. She moaned, then climaxed around his invading member. He placed his finger at her clit working it gently as he thrust into her. She came a second time, her body gripping his. He didn’t stop working her into another frenzy, and by the time he finally roared her name as his own orgasm over took him she was completely limp from her own pleasure.

He slowly pulled himself free from her limp body. He lay beside her, with her head on his shoulder. She was asleep only moments later, making a de
ep satisfaction fill him. He lay there thinking. He should really get up and call that dickhead and tell him that he wouldn’t be taking his woman out tonight. She was too worn out from all the orgasms he’d given her, but then he thought of a better way to drive the point home that Charity belonged to him now. Smiling, he kissed his woman’s forehead before he got up, pulling on some sweat pants and went downstairs to wait.

  Chapter 13

Tick smiled grimly when he heard the knock on his door. He walked towards the door opening it to see Travis standing there. The man looked a bit startled to see him instead of Charity standing in his doorway.

“Is Charity not ready yet?” The man asked looking a bit puzzled.

“She’s not going out with you tonight. Or any night for that matter.” He told the man grimly.

“That so?” Travis said, his eyes narrowing. He took in Tick’s lack of shirt, and the sweat pants he wore.

“Yep.” Tick told him meeting his eyes squarely.

“I think that’s her choice, and I’m not leaving till I hear that from her.” Travis told him, glaring.

The little prat, Tick thought, wanting to strangle the bastard.

“No,” He said through gritted teeth. “She’s asleep upstairs in my bed. She’s a bit exhausted.” He smiled at the man. He understood, Tick could tell by the way his fists clenched, and his eyes became stormy.

“Tick, you shouldn’t have let me fall asleep. Did you call Travis or do I…“ Charity walked into the living room wearing only his shirt, her hair mussed from their recent activity, and her legs bare.

Making his chest grow heavy with glee that she’d just brought his point home with the man still standing in the doorway, and anger that the other man was seeing this view of her sweet body, which was barely hidden by the attire.

“You didn’t call him?” She demanded.

“I figured this would make my point much better than telling him to fuck off would.” Tick told her.

“You absolute bastard!” She bellowed at him. “There was no reason to hurt him by forcing him to see what we’ve been doing behind his back. You really are an asshole. This was just fucking mean, and it’s not just to Travis either. You know that this was something I was upset over doing to him. We’d already talked about it. Congratulations asshat. You’ve finally done what no other man on this earth has ever done. You’ve made me feel like a whor…” Charity was interrupted by both men who spoke at once.

“Stop, Charity. It’s okay sweetheart.” Travis said at the same time Tick said “I didn’t mean to hurt you, Charity. I didn’t think you’d be awake.”

Tick knew he’d fucked up when he saw the tears in her eyes. They didn’t fall, but they made him feel about an inch tall. Fuck, he was an asshole. He should have just called the prat.

“Charity, I’m assuming this is what you were going to talk to me about?” Travis asked.

“Yes, I’m sorry that this is how you found out. This wasn’t supposed to happen, but it just did. I really am…”

“Stop, apologizing, damn it.” Tick growled, she was making him feel even worse over this scene.

“It’s okay. I get it. There’s just one little thing I need to do before I leave you two alone.” Travis said.

Then he shocked Charity as his fist slammed hard into Tick’s jaw. Tick stumbled before he rightened himself.

“One I’ll give you, but any more and this will not end well for you.” Tick growled.

Travis snorted, “Whatever, dickhead. Just know that if you hurt her I will be back to finish you off. Now fix this bullshit.” Then the man turned and walked away, shutting the door behind him. Tick had to respect the man for that little scene, he thought rubbing his jaw. He’d deserved that. He turned looking at Charity.

She looked back at him for several moments before she asked, “Are you okay?”

That surprised him. She was asking him if he was okay? That should be his line. He walked towards her, but stopped when she took a step back from him.

“I’m sorry, baby girl.” Tick whispered.

“That’s not good enough, Tick. We’ll talk about this another day, I’m tired.” Then she turned and walked back up the stairs. He followed her, after locking up. When he didn’t find her in his bed he went to the guest room trying the door to find it locked. He sighed, yeah he’d royally fucked this one up, he thought, heading into his room after deciding to let her have tonight stew. When all he really wanted to do was break down the door and hold her.

It had been four days since the Travis fiasco and she still hadn’t forgiven Tick. He’d been groveling constantly for the first two days then he’d left stating he had some out of town business to attend to, but that she’d better be over this by then. It had pissed her off at the time, but she was realizing that she didn’t really want to be mad at him anymore. She was weak when it came to Tick and that really made her mad. The man was insufferable, but her heart was begging her to forgive him. She sighed, as she walked Max and Connor over to Colt and Maria’s.

She remembered the conversation from yesterday that she and Max had before dinner.

“Are you still mad at dad?” Max had asked, looking up at her.

“Not really. I was for a little while.” Charity had told him.

“Good. He can be mean sometimes, but he still likes you a lot.” The boy told her earnestly.

Then he’d gotten distracted by his cartoons. She sighed. Entering the house after the boys walking to the kitchen looking for Maria. She found her at the kitchen table going over some accounting. Charity itched to see what she was doing. She’d actually missed doing the books for the Boom, Boom Room and Flesh.

“Hey, I brought Connor home.” She told the other woman.

Maria looked up smiling. “Oh, Thanks. Is Max staying with us tonight?”

“Yeah if you’re still okay with him being here.” Charity told her.

“Sure, it’s no problem. I just wish that doing these books was as easy as handling the boys was.” Maria sighed glaring down at the books.

  “What’s wrong?” Charity asked.

“Nothing really. They just won’t balance and I can’t seem to find the mistake.” She shook her head. Then continued. “There’s a thousand credits coming up missing and I can’t find the mistake. I’m beginning to think there isn’t one. Which worries me.” Getting up the woman walked to the counter pouring some tea. She offered Charity some, but she refused.

“May I?” Charity asked indicating the books.

“Be my guest.” Maria replied, sipping her tea.

It took about fifteen minutes for her to find the mistake. “Ah…see here you forgot this lumber order.” She told the other woman, pointing out the error in the ledger.

“What? Damn, you’re right. Why didn’t I see that I’ve been pouring over these things for four hours. Then you walk in and find it in fifteen minutes. I hate these damned accounts, but Colt has a lot on his plate and this is something I can do to help.” Maria grumbled.

“Don’t be so hard on yourself. I’ve always been good at accounting.” Charity told her smiling.

“Books? For the club you mean?” Maria asked a pensive look on her face.

“Yes, I used to do the books for the Boom, Boom Room and Flesh, the tattoo parlor.”

“Really? You were allowed to work at the Boom, Boom Room?” Maria asked her voice revealed her surprise.

“Yeah it was a surprise to me too. At the time I think that Trick was at his wits end. He didn’t know what the hell to do with me. I was a bit like Max, honestly. I was nineteen at the time. The Boom, Boom Room was Bone’s idea. It worked.” She laughed.

“I bet. Colt wouldn’t let me within a thousand feet of that strip club.” Maria laughed.

“I bet not,” Charity said chuckling. “Most old men don’t want their old ladies anywhere near horny men. It makes them all a bit crazy when another man is near their woman.”

“You have no idea.” Maria told her sipping her tea ag
ain, smiling fondly. Charity was sure she was thinking of Colt, her old man.

“Did you really lead Tick on a merry chase all over Bandit territory?” She suddenly asked.

“Yes.” Charity replied a little proudly. She knew she was good at disappearing. Being a former escape planner for Katie over the years had paid off.

“Good. That man needs to have his world shaken up. Ever since Vivi passed he’s been living a half-life.”

“Yeah, he really loved her. It has been hard for him and Max.” Charity felt her heart squeeze as she thought of the man’s devotion to his dead wife.

“I guess so. Frankly, it surprised me. Not that I didn’t think he loved her. They just seemed at odds most of the time. She was always the life of the party, and he was content to just sit back and watch.” Maria puzzled.

“Opposites attract, I guess.” Charity mused, her heart still aching.

“Yeah, I guess you’re right. He seems more content now though, with you.” Charity looked at her sharply.

“What do you mean?” She asked the other woman.

“I don’t know. With Vivi he always seem to be on edge. Like he was always waiting on the other shoe to drop, I guess. Only with you he just seems calm.”

Charity felt like a rock was in the pit of her stomach. She knew that the other woman didn’t realize it, but she’d just confirmed Charity’s fear. She’d practically told her that Tick didn’t care about her. He was just enjoying fucking her, which meant really that almost any woman would do for him. She was fooling herself to think any different, even after that scene with Travis. That was likely just Tick being an alpha male who didn’t want anyone pissing in his sandbox.
