“It’s her job to play the strict role, little flower. Don’t take it personally.”
“Is everyone here going to be like that?”
“All of the employees have different personalities, just like any other place you would visit.”
“There was another girl back there. She was standing in the corner in just a small white tank top, shoes and knee socks. She was sniffling and she had marks all across her butt. It looked like they were from a belt.”
Rett clicked his tongue. “I guess someone was naughty about her clothing,” he responded casually.
Daisy stopped in her tracks and since he was holding her hand, he stopped too. When her turned to look at her, she was white as a ghost and frozen in place.
“What’s wrong?” He closed the small gap between them and pulled her into his arms. She was stiff and did not return the hug like she had every other time.
“Are other people going to spank me if I’m bad?”
“What?” That took him by surprise. “If I have it my way, little girl, the only person that would ever touch your body besides a doctor, would be me.”
He let that settle in for a second. They had talked so much about the Ranch and how things worked but being there and seeing it all was a very different experience.
“Daisy, some people come here alone and lost, they live here, and they sign up to be punished and chastised by the staff. They are loved and taken care of and given the chance to find safe and loving partners to spend the rest of their lives with. We are here as a couple. You are mine and unless you go out of your way to break rules or treat the Ranch or any of its occupants with disrespect, I am the only person you need to be concerned with, okay?”
The color slowly came back to her face and she blinked for the first time since she’d froze.
“We have talked at length about our time together, right? You have all of the control here,” he continued. “Nothing is going to happen that you have not specifically consented to or even asked for. That's how it will always be between us, honey. You hold all the power. You have the safeword we picked out together and if you ever feel like your wishes are not being honored all you have to do is use it. You know what that is, don’t you?”
She nodded.
“Good girl. If anything happens that you aren’t okay with, say red.” He pulled back from her, holding her at arms’ length so that he could see her face. “Are you better now?”
“I think so.” She gave him a timid smile. “Where are we going next?”
“I thought I would show you our room and we could relax a spell before dinner.”
“Okay.”
“Okay,” he repeated, kissing her head and continuing to the room.
“There aren’t as many people here as I expected.” Daisy made chit-chat as they walked down the long hallway to their room, trying to ignore the growing bundle of nerves in her stomach and her bodies natural fight or flight response.
“We are here a couple days before the Christmas crowd. The day before Christmas Eve through the day after New Years, this place will be bursting at the seams. They are booked solid.”
“Well, that’s exciting.”
“Very. We’re lucky they had room for us.” He winked and took the key out of his pocket. “And looks like this one’s it.”
Daisy stopped a few feet inside and looked around at the ornate room that they would be calling home for the next few days. It was homey and classy and fancy and quaint all at the same time. It was perfect, and she felt instantly calmed. Everywhere she looked, she picked up on the subtle nuances that made this room different from any other hotel room. The biggest being the strategically placed o-rings that could be used to restrain a submissive, and the massive Christmas tree in the corner. Her gaze wandered back and forth between the bed with its rings, and the Christmas tree with its beautiful lights and large glass bulbs, and a pile of brightly wrapped gifts nestled under it. She told herself that they were just for show, but even from here, she could see Rett’s loopy handwriting adorning a tag on a bright red and green box topped with a festive bow. Daisy’s tummy flipped all over the place as she wavered between nervousness and excitement.
“Wow,” was all she could say.
“Is that a good wow?”
“It’s a lot bigger than I thought it would be and I guess I kind of figured it would just look like any other hotel room. I definitely wasn't expecting our very own Christmas tree.”
“Well, this is definitely not your average hotel. And the tree is a special touch. My cousin loves Christmas and he likes to make it special for all the Littles in his care. He put this tree here because he wanted to make sure my Little had an extra special Christmas too.”
Her heart pitter-pattered in her chest at the thought of Rett’s cousin taking the time to make sure she had a nice Christmas. Nobody had ever done that for her before. “It’s amazing!” she gasped softly.
Daisy walked around the room, running her hand over the furniture, taking in every detail of the room. She had only just arrived, and nothing had really happened yet, but she just knew. She knew that this Christmas was going to be extra-special and important, and that she would want to remember every detail of the weekend for as long as she lived.
She could feel Rett’s watchful gaze on her as she moved around the room, but he didn't say anything, just let her explore. She knew he was tracking every move she made. She could feel his gaze burning into her backside and following the sway of her hips. She couldn’t help but put an extra jiggle and bounce in each movement, just to drive him crazy. She walked the full length of the room, until she was standing in front of him once again and couldn’t help the thrill of enjoyment she got when she saw the bulge in the front of his tight jeans. She eyeballed him up and down with a soft hum of approval before continuing her exploration of the room.
Stopping at the bed, she couldn’t help the heated blush that rose to her cheeks as she studied that interesting piece of furniture, taking in all the differences between it and any normal bed. There were o-rings at all different heights on the tall posts. The headboard was equipped with various rings and loops and holes, making it ideal for a large variety of bondage opportunities, and there were rings in the ceiling just above the bed.
Her imagination was running wild with possibility as she turned and looked at him, trying to hide the arousal in her eyes.
“So, there’s only one bed,” she surmised.
“Yes, there is.” He seemed disappointed with the observation. Sleeping arrangements was the one thing they hadn’t discussed. “I can either give you your privacy and crash at Derek’s place or I could sleep over there.” He pointed to the sitting area where there was a small couch. It would not be comfortable to sleep on, but she much knew he would sleep wherever she asked him to. He was a gentleman.
“I would have gotten us separate rooms,” he offered, “but Derek pulled all the strings he could to get this one. There was nothing else available.”
Daisy grinned shyly. “I appreciate that, but I’m okay with sharing. I would be too nervous to sleep alone.”
His smile grew wide, lighting up his face as he approached her. “I’m glad to hear it, little one. I’m very much looking forward to holding you all night long.” He held out his arms and she all but jumped into them. She had been waiting for this.
“That sounds nice.” She sighed and snuggled into his chest. Clutching at her hair, he pulled them onto the bed, positioning her so she was sitting next to him. She clung to him, content to be held in his arms, but still scared to do more than that. She knew he would be okay if all they did all weekend was cuddle and hold hands. He had promised her no pressure or expectations, but deep down, she wanted more than that. He had promised to be patient, but with each and every minute that ticked by with no more than a hug or embrace, she couldn’t help but remind herself that the clock was ticking, and their time together was limited.
Daisy peeked up at him, batting her eyelashes with
contrived innocence as she waited to see what he would do next. Even though she hadn’t given the signal to succumb completely, she was looking to him for guidance. Because, whether she had said it out loud yet or not, he was her Daddy, and guidance was his job.
Chapter Four
“Are you ready for your spanking?” Rett pinched her butt, somehow reaching underneath her to do so, and she squeaked in surprise.
“Right now?” she yelped, pulling out of his embrace.
The answer was yes. And no. And maybe. But most of all, the answer was that it wasn’t up to her. She didn’t want it to be up to her. If it was, she was surely capable of putting it off all weekend, and she didn't want that either.
“Why not?” Rett answered her question with a question, and a knowing smirk. “It will help with your nerves. I know you’re worried about it. I can see it every time you look me in the eye.”
Rats. She hadn’t been hiding her feelings with her silence. She was worried about it, he wasn’t wrong. It was all she’d thought about for weeks. Hell, for the last year they had been talking, she had fantasized about basically nothing but.
But she wasn’t ready, not yet.
“I don’t know,” she hedged, half wanting him to flip her over his knee regardless of what her answer was, and half loving that she knew he wouldn’t. “It’s kinda soon, isn’t it?”
Rett sighed and shook his head as he positioned his hands on her hips and attempted to lift her onto his lap.
She fought him, moving to where he wanted her, while doing her best to keep most of her weight on her own feet. She didn’t want him to feel the full weight of her, not that she didn’t trust his strength, but it would just be embarrassing. He would be able to not only see how heavy she was, but actually feel it, and that just seemed a thousand times worse.
Rett knew what she was doing, and he pulled her completely off her feet. And onto his lap.
“I want to hold you,” he explained, firmly. “If I want to hold you, it means I want all of you, do you understand?” He sounded frustrated and she instantly felt guilty.
“I’m sorry I’m so heavy,” she whispered, lowering her gaze in shame.
“What? Heavy?” To Rett’s credit, he looked genuinely shocked by her apology and description of herself. And then he looked angry. Well, not angry, exactly. More like scarily stern. “Little lady,” he growled. “Your welcome spanking is about to be turned into a naughty girl spanking if I hear one more word of that ridiculousness. You are not heavy. You are perfect, so knock it off. Right now.”
She was sorely tempted to argue, to bring up the fact that she didn't exactly match the pictures she had sent him, and to tell him that she was far too heavy to be perched upon his lap, but a ‘Welcome to the Ranch’ spanking sounded far nicer than a naughty girl spanking. She knew the latter was probably inevitable, but she didn't want one so soon, especially since she’d never had one before. Sure, she had played with others in the past, but nothing recent, especially since she had started gaining weight. After she’d gained that first ten pounds because of her medication, she’d been too self-conscious to go to any more play parties.
That was also when she started spending more time in online forums and met Everett.
Blessing in disguise.
“I’m sorry.” She laid her head in the hollow of his neck. “I’m overwhelmed,” she admitted.
“I know you are, little one. That’s why I said it was time for your spanking. Daddy wants to help ease some of that stress.”
“But I don’t want a spanking,” she lied, rubbing her feet against each other, as she stared down at the floor.
“Lie to me again, I dare you.”
Her head snapped up and she saw the mischievous twinkle in his eye. Hadn’t he gotten the memo that Daddies were not the ones who were supposed to make mischief?
She knew she shouldn’t say it. She tried every which way in her head to spin it so that she could save her butt and still not let him win. But he had dared her. And self preservation or no, she couldn’t turn down a dare.
Then she smiled. She could lie about anything. It didn’t have to be something serious. “The sky is green.”
As she had hoped, Rett burst into laughter. “You, little flower, are going to keep me on my toes, aren’t you?”
“Maybe.”
She loved the way his face lit up when he smiled, and when he laughed it made it hard for her to breathe. She swore he had to be the most perfect man on the planet and by some miracle of miracles, he was hers.
For a couple of days at least.
The thought sobered her, but Rett was still smiling his award-winning smile and her heart was still overflowing from the warmth of it.
“Alright, sassy pants,” he said. “Let's get serious for a second, shall we?”
That was never good. Serious always led to bad things like spanked bottoms or noses stuck in corners. No, serious was just not going to work for her.
Not today, Daddy.
“Good. I have a serious announcement,” she declared, still wearing her sassy pants.
“Oh, do you?”
“Yes, I do.” She cleared her throat and held up one finger like she was about to make a proclamation.
“Well, let’s hear it then.”
“I’m hungry.”
Rett shook his head, a smirk held firmly in place between two dimples. “Well, that is serious.”
“I told you so.”
“I guess we will have to go have something to eat before we finish this conversation then, won’t we? Or, maybe we can finish it in the banquet hall. Do you think the other guests would like to be witness to your first ever spanking from Daddy?”
“You wouldn’t.” She side-eyed him, unsure if he would push her that hard that fast. No, she decided. He was bluffing. He had to be bluffing. Didn’t he?
“Guess you’ll have to find out.” He answered her unspoken question with a mischievous grin. “Come on then, let’s get you fed.” He stood and held his hand out to her. She loved holding his hand, but she was still trying to figure out if this was a trap or not.
“Maybe we could order room service sandwiches?”
“Not on your life, little one. No way. The restaurants here are top notch and I can’t wait to see the pure pleasure on your face as you try the tres leches cake for the first time.”
“Maybe I’m not really that hungry,” she hedged, hopping from one foot to the other. Cake sounded amazing, but she really didn’t need to be eating it.
“So, you lied?” His hands went to his hips and he adopted a more serious tone and look. She didn’t like it. Not at all. She shook her head fast and hard.
“Good then, let’s go. No more stalling.”
She sighed in resolution and took his offered hand.
“Oh, wait one second.” He snapped his fingers and turned to her. “Before we go back downstairs there's one more thing I need to say.”
“Okay?” She paused and waited, eyeing him curiously.
“I dare you to give me your panties.”
Rett could not wipe the smile from his face. She’d thought she was so clever, skirting around his dares, stalling to put off a spanking, and the rest of her naughty shenanigans. He was bound and determined to prove that she had nothing on him. He’d been in the game a long time and he would not be bested by his sassy Little brat. She was on his turf now.
In line at the mexican buffet, he grabbed two plates and attempted to hand one to Daisy.
She shook her head. Her face bright red with embarrassment. “Will you do it, please?” she requested in a small voice.
He looked at the way she was standing and realized her hands had not been fisted at her sides like he’d originally thought. No, she held the bottom hem tightly in her grasp making sure it did not move even a centimeter.
He felt a little bad for how embarrassed she was, but if she was going to work so hard to keep him on his toes, he was going to work to keep her as off balance as possible.
That was when a naughty Little was the most pliant, and he needed her pliant.
“Yes, I will do it. Why don’t you go find us a seat?”
“Thank you.” She sighed in relief and skittered away, keeping her steps tiny and awkward. When she was out of earshot, he chuckled. She was so damn cute. He still had a hard time believing she was really here. After a year of being long-distance, it was weird to be able to touch her, but he loved it and he was going to spend the entire weekend touching her as much as humanly possible and in all the ways.
Recalling her likes and dislikes when it came to food and guessing on some things, he filled both of their plates with the fresh and authentic Mexican fare. Tamales, enchiladas, tacos and burritos of all sorts; the choices were endless and there was not a bad bite in the bunch.
Ranch food was unlike any restaurant or hotel. It was delicious and carefully crafted under the watchful eye of the strict chefs with years of specialized training and experience under their belts. Guests at the Ranch were fed like royalty, and he always craved the food here. He would be making sure to eat every meal while he was visiting.
Plates now full, Rett turned toward the tables and easily found his girl. Her eyes were riveted to him as he strode toward her, and when he smiled at her he could see her visibly relax a bit. It ramped up his pride level that his presence calmed her.
“Hope you’re hungry, little lady.” He winked as he set the full plate in front of her.
“Rett! I can’t eat all that!” she exclaimed; her eyes full of dismay.
“I don’t expect you to eat it all. But you should try as much as possible. The food here is amazing. I only have one requirement. You have to eat at least half your vegetables if you want cake later, so I would make sure you do that before you get too full.”
She loved sweets and he couldn’t wait to feed her the delectable dessert, but he wanted to make sure she ate healthy as well.
“I don’t like onions,” she reminded him, pointing at the offensive slivers of flavor mixed in with meat and peppers inside her fajita on her plate.
