“We can talk about the takeover in Honolulu later,” he said, stroking the ripe curve of her breast. “But right now I’ve got other things on my mind.”
She widened her eyes innocently. “You always did know how to prioritize.”
“It’s one of the secrets of my success,” Jared said, edging her toward the bed. “What time do the grandparents arrive?”
“For lunch.”
“Then I’ve got two hours to convince you you’re the most irresistible woman this side of the Appalachians.”
“I should think you’ll be able to manage that,” Devon said, trembling from the intensity in his eyes.
“I’m going to do my best,” Jared said.
To the satisfaction of both of them, he succeeded admirably. And if at lunchtime Devon had very rosy cheeks and Jared looked a man deeply in love and thoroughly satiated, Benson and Alicia were both too tactful and too excited about seeing baby Bruce to say a word.
