Damn, he was gorgeous with lips parted and hooded eyes locked with hers.

The sounds of her sucking collided with his throaty grunts bringing her close to climaxing.

David pulled out and let out an audible groan. Taking her by the hands, he lifted Genise to stand and went down to his knees. “Turnabout is fair play,” he said looking up at her rounded eyes.

“I can’t possibly take it right now,” Genise told him, her voice trembling, already on the edge of climaxing.

“I want to taste you. Devour you.” He ripped the panties from her body and tossed them over his shoulder. As much as the action was a turn on, she took a second to grieve the death of a pricey La Perla garment.

All thought was lost, however, when he pushed her legs apart and his hot mouth covered her sex. He licked at her, the quick motions making her quiver without control.

Finally, she couldn’t take it. She raked her fingers into his thick, silky hair and pushed herself against his mouth. David sucked in her center until she shook so hard all Genise could do was cry out as a climax hit with so much force her legs gave out.

Somehow, he held her up while he continued to suckle and lick, while she floated only to begin the climb again.

They fell onto the bed in a tangle of limbs, grabbing, touching, pulling at the other, and not seeming to get close enough. The feel of his body against hers only made her want him more. “I want you David,” Genise grunted out the words in between “ahhs” as he took, once again, to her breasts, moving from one to the other. “Please.”

He lifted up and looked down on her. “I can’t wait, either.”

“Condom?” She looked to his nightstand, her mind instantly going to the conversation days ago with Vane. “And whatever else you need.”

He frowned. “I can sense you’re not fertile. Shifters don’t carry deceases. But I will use one to make you at ease.”

David reached to the night table and pulled the foil package from a slender drawer. He tore it open with his teeth and sheathed himself while she watched, enthralled at the how graceful he moved even now, his formidable chest lifting and lowering with each rapid breath.

“Lay back and open for me beauty,” he instructed and moved between her legs. “Hold your breasts, fondle them.”

The man became dominant in an instant, seeming to sense how much she wanted him to be.

Genise complied, she pushed her breasts up with her palms and flicked at her nipples with the tips of her fingernails. The eroticism of his watching made her want to pull her legs closed and squirm.

With his fingers, he ran a lazy trail from between her breasts down her stomach stopping when reaching her sex. Then, with both hands, splayed her open wider.

Her entire body was out of control at this point. She wanted him so much it hurt physically. Instead of taking her as she expected, he continued to watch her, his gaze moving from the juncture between her legs to her hands at her breasts.

“Genise, you have no idea how long I’ve wanted to see you like this.” He pushed a finger down the middle of her sex into her and she gasped at the relief, but at the same time needing more.

His finger slid in and out while she lifted up to meet the thrusts. It was not enough. Not nearly what she needed. “You! I need you to do me now.”

The corner of his lips curved. “I am doing you.”

“You know what I mean.” She let out a grunt when he slipped a second finger in. “No. I want your… You…” she couldn’t continue when his thumb strummed over her swollen nub. “Ah!”

“That’s it, Genise, come again.” He watched her become undone. Her legs quivering as he continued the delicious assault. It didn’t take long at all for her to cry out, losing control as he sunk his fingers into her.

In a daze, she watched as he climbed over her. She reached for him and brought his mouth to hers. He kissed her gently at first, and then deepened the kiss, his lips traveling from one side of her mouth to the other. Nipping, biting and sucking her mouth until finally pushing his hot tongue past her parted lips.

Finally, he plunged fully into her pliant body, the thickness of him expanding her walls and filling Genise completely.

She couldn’t breathe at never being with someone so large. Her body adjusted as David patiently waited, not moving, seeming to understand he needed to allow her to adapt to his girth.

Genise tugged at his hips, signaling the need for him to move. He pulled out just enough before delving back into her. Both cried out, the friction of his movements sending them to a frenzy.

What seemed like hours later, she cradled him against her, enjoying the feel of his slick, sweaty body sliding against hers. They were both covered in sweat, didn’t speak, but remained joined, neither seeming to want to break the bonding of the moment. Romantic is what she’d describe it as.

The sun was almost down, the faint shadows of it gave the room an eerie, yet arresting, glow. As the lovers held on to each other desperate not to stop feeling, touching, the faint breeze of reality swept across the bed.

He kissed her. Genise wondered what to do. Should she leave and return to her bed? When he rolled away to remove the condom and clean up, she caressed his back. “That was amazing.”

After a deep breath, he rolled back to her. “More than that.” He pulled her against him and lifted a blanket over them. “I feel honored that you would give yourself to me. Stay with me here. Do you want to?”

“I was hoping you’d ask.” She smiled against his mouth and kissed him softly. “I do want to stay here with you.”

She slid her hand down his flat stomach and found his erection. The reminder of what Sally warned. So it was true. Genise curled her fingers around him and stroked him, watching him close his eyes and dig his head back into the pillow.

It wasn’t too much longer before she couldn’t take it anymore, needed him again and she straddled him. David took her by the hips, lifted her with ease and impaled her onto his hard rod. Genise trembled, not sure how she could withstand how deep he hit inside, but she adjusted, spread her legs wider and placed her palms onto his chest. Lifting and lowering, she rode him while he fondled her breasts, his eyes boring into hers with intensity. “Come with me.”

She liked how he talked in bed. The deep accented words like music and she constricted around him, milking his hardness with her walls, unable to stop from crying out.

Genise grabbed the headboard and continued to slide up and down his body. He seemed to get even harder as she labored to hold the rhythm. The sounds of flesh against flesh along with his husky, throaty sounds pushed her over the edge. David held her as she collapsed over him, a shaky mess of molten bones and skin.

A trickle of sunlight through a crack in the curtains woke her. It fell over them announcing the beginning of a new day. Every part of her was instantly aware of David.

Turned toward her, he continued to slumber, his handsome face relaxed, his arm protectively over her.

She studied his face. The visage she’d seen on so many magazines and video interviews. None of them did any justice to what she saw at the moment. In sleep, he looked younger. The ever present scowl was gone and his brows were relaxed. And those lips, luscious as ever, parted to allow for soft breaths.

Would he act the same after waking? She hoped he’d not break her heart by pretending things remained only business between them.

Then again, how many times had this very scene happened for him? Surely he was practiced in the casual sex department and would ensure she understood not to expect anything from him.

She’d have to play it according. Would not act the part of scorned woman. If he let things continue as if nothing so personal had happened between them, she would be the perfect, loving, demonstrative girlfriend in public, return to New York and once there in private, she’d take time off to allow her broken heart to heal.

Genise let out a soft sigh as his eyes opened and met hers.

  His arm snaked
tighter around her waist and pulled her close.

  “I want you.”

His cell phone chimed interrupting them. David scowled at the display and then tapped a few keys before turning to her. “I have to see my pack leader. I’ll be back in less than an hour and then we’ll go out like I promised.”

After a lingering kiss, he slipped from the bed.

  Chapter Six

Evan Wolfe sat back on the couch, ill-concealed annoyance showed in the tapping of his fingers on the leather. “What do you mean you won’t mate?” He glared at David.

“You don’t have a choice in the matter. As your pack leader, I have made the decision.”

Instead of bowing his head to show respect, David rolled his shoulders and met Evan’s narrowed eyes. “I have never been a true part of the UK pack. Every time I’ve attending pack runs or other activities, you ensure to remind me not to expect any privileges. You repeated several times I’d never be mated to a pack female. Why this now?”

The pack leader looked to the other two wolves in the room. “We’ve come upon an interesting situation. A new female came to our territory. Her father joined the pack recently and demands the daughter be mated only to a prominent wolf. You were specifically named.”

He could not turn it down. Somehow, he’d put it off until he could find a way to convince Genise to marry him. It was the only way to escape being mated by force.

Any other time he would have agreed without hesitation. After all, wolves mated for life, they would bond. The marriage to a she-wolf would be good, physically. Whether love came into the equation, however, was always a gamble.

“I need time.” He looked around the room noting the other wolves bristled with annoyance at who they considered an outsider being given the privilege. His refusal would not be ill received by them. At the same time, his lack of readily accepting marked him as an ingrate.

His pack leader seemed to relax, but only a bit. “Yeah. Fine, go ahead and take some time.” He motioned dismissal with his right hand. “Don’t take too long. I need an answer soon.”

  “A couple months.”

  “A couple weeks.”

Shit, how could he possibly ensure Genise was in love with him and willing to mate in that short period of time? The attraction between them was tangible, but that didn’t mean she would love him.

As much as he respected the traditions of his kind, he wanted the dream. He’d already achieved recognition in his career, had more money than he’d ever need and didn’t want for anything. Now that he’d finally come to a decision of who to spend the rest of his life with, it seemed he may have waited too long.

Leaving the pack compound, David was finally able to lower his shoulders and relax. A pack environment should be a safe haven for him, not a place to be on his guard. Cautious of him is how he’d describe his pack mates. They didn’t trust him, while at the same time none had ever openly challenged him.

Suddenly, a realization that he’d never be a true member of the UK pack unless he made more of an effort struck. If he’d misread Genise and she turned him down, he would still refuse mating. It wasn’t fair to his pack mates who’d been loyal to the leader. He’d approach one of them, Cohan perhaps, and suggest he bid to mate the female. Cohan was a prominent businessman. Wealthy and successful.

No matter what the outcome with Genise, David would find a mate on his own and it would be a woman of his choosing.

David and Genise strolled down the street, having somehow managed to evade paparazzi for most of the morning.

Unable to believe her luck at spending an entire day alone with the famous man, Genise leaned against his shoulder and smiled. He snapped a selfie of them with his phone.

In his own home turf, David Wolfe was carefree and talkative, proudly showing her the different sights.

With a baseball cap and sunglasses, he did a good job of keeping most attention away although women still took more than one look at the gorgeous male.

Hand in hand, they walked into a café and he ordered lattes for them while she grabbed a booth along a side wall near a corner where they could look out the window.

The day went too fast. She wasn’t ready to return to the hectic scene Paris promised to be. Once again be at Margo’s mercy and under her constant scrutiny.

David slid into the booth across from her. “You’re pensive.”

“Yes, I’m enjoying the day and have to admit, I’m a bit sad to leave and go to Paris. Sounds strange to say it.”

He nodded, assuming a contemplative expression. “It will be quite busy. At times very overwhelming, but it’s also fun and it’s my world, where I feel at home now.”

“So you don’t feel at home here?” she asked motioning out the window towards the street.

“Yes, very much so. What I mean is the runway, fashion and all that, is my work. I am just as comfortable there. I hope you come to like it.”

Why would it matter if she did or not? “I think it will be fun. I’m excited to get first looks at next season’s fashions. Will they allow me to take pictures to send to Sally?”

“Yes you can. I’m certain you will enjoy it a good bit.” He leaned back as a server placed cups in front of them and then studied her, his eyes half-closed. “You will sleep in my bed every night.”

A tingle traveled through her and her lips twitched with restrained delight. “Yes sir.”

He chuckled and brought the coffee to his lips just as his phone rang. From his side of the conversation, she knew it was Margo. David listened more than spoke before finally ending the call. “Margo will be here in a couple of hours.”

“Why?” The question flew from her mouth before she could stop it. “What I mean to ask is if something is wrong.”

“No, but she’s got a potential lead on a huge promotion with a fragrance company. I am not really interested, so she’s coming to convince me.” He seemed impatient for Genise to finish her coffee, no sooner did she put her cup down than he took her hand. “Let’s go home. The rest of the tour about town will have to wait.”

They walked back and she pulled at his hand. “Why are we walking so fast? I can hardly keep up.”

“You’ll find out soon enough.” They turned a corner and dodged behind his building. He seemed tense while fidgeting with the key.

The door closed behind her and Genise found herself pressed back against it, her legs wound around David’s waist as he cupped her bottom and pulled her against his hardness. “I need you.”

“Yes.” Genise didn’t wait for him to fully put her down and she began to undress. By the time they reached his bedroom, both were nude.

She rounded the bed and opened the top drawer of his night table looking for a condom.

Taking a condom, she turned to him. “Come here, David.”

He neared and she sheathed him with swift moves, enjoying how his hips pushed forward into her hand as she did so. “Lay back,” he instructed.

On top of the bedding, she lay with her legs over the edge. He picked them up and put both over his shoulders before plunging fully into her.

“Oh!” Genise cried out and let out a second cry when he pulled out only to thrust into her again.

“Damn you feel perfect. Meant to be mine.”

He set a fast tempo in and out of her while bucked up to meet his thrusts. The motions were intoxicating and so damn erotic, she could only shake at the brink of losing all control. Finally, he pulled both of her hands to hold them over her head. She was unable to function anymore and screamed out his name as he followed suit before collapsing over her.

“They are offering an obscene amount of money. They’ll provide a flat in New York City for six weeks along with a driver and car. What more can you ask for?” Margo crossed her long legs studying David while Genise watched the scene play out.

They’d showered and managed to split a sandwich before Margo’s arrival. If the woman suspected they’d been intimat
e, she didn’t show it. But then again, she’d never paid Genise much attention, always focusing solely on her client.

David refilled their wine glasses, winking at Genise when filling hers. Margo let out a loud sigh. “I need a reply, David.”

“I’ll do it. But nothing else until after summer. I plan to take a full two months off before the fall fashion events begin. I’ve got a full calendar for the rest of the year.”

“Your career…” Margo began only to stop when David held up a hand.

“My career has never been better. I can retire at any time. I don’t need the money.”

Margo’s gaze swept to Genise. The woman’s eyes narrowed as if seeing something. “Very well. Would you like to have dinner with me, David?”

It was an obvious exclusion, not that Genise cared. The less she saw of the woman, the better.

“No. I am taking these two days off and plan to spend the time here at home. Once we get to Paris, then you and I will have plenty of time for professional dinners and such.” He didn’t mince words. Genise tried not to wince at the obvious line drawn. Their relationship was purely business.

Realization seemed to dawn. Margo gaze went between them, but she was smart enough not to comment. Instead, with a shaky hand she placed her wine glass on the tabletop. “Very well then. I best be on my way. We meet with the Ralph Lauren people the day after tomorrow. See that you arrive at three o’clock sharp.”

The clip clop of her heels on the wooden floor faded as David walked her to the doorway. Margo turned at the door to look at Genise. “Your friend, Sally I believe, set up an interview with a morning show. See that she doesn’t have any private information about David.”

  Everything changed at that point.

David went directly to his office after Margo left and she remained in the sitting room, the magazine she’d been reading on the floor. Why would Sally have an interview without telling her?

Shit, now David probably thought she was using him to promote her business. Of course, it was a silent understanding that in being seen with him in public, her business would profit from it, but she would not directly promote during this time. It would be a blatant ploy.
