by Tyla Pallas

Tyla regularly exhibits his paintings worldwide and has built up a formidable art store online. Tyla has to date re-recorded the classic ‘In The Dynamite Jet Saloon’ album to mark the 25th Anniversary of him originally writing the songs “I wanted to re-record the album as if I’d written it only yesterday, but with all I know about life today. It was like stepping back into the saloon bar and having a drink with some old friends – and it’s the only boozer I know where there are no last orders at the bar!” As well as re recording ‘A Graveyard of Empty Bottles’ which has also received rave reveiws for his loving treatment of such a delicate album that was in its day the Dogs biggest seller.

“This was an important album when it first came out and it’s just as important now, perhaps even more so in a world that seems to have turned its back on anything that couldn’t merely be described as ‘product’ and pumped through channels still overseen by faceless corporations to a public that really needs to rediscover its individuality or face losing its soul.’’

-Mark Diggins www.therockpit.net “I think it's love again! Hoist the flags because one of the best records ever released has gone in for a service and Mr T has souped up a near perfect 10" record into a hot rod ride of extended tracks that, once you lift the hood and check out the reworking of these tracks, any sceptics will be able to sit back, relax and sigh with relief as to how they've been lovingly primed and reworked.”

  - Dom Daley www.uberrock.co.uk As well as revisiting his childhood and Dogs days here in this book, Tyla has a new novel in the pipeline entitled Together In Life, Forever In Death, a surreal love story set against a backdrop of murky art dealers and gentlemen thugs.

2011 marked a personal anniversary for Tyla himself – he turned 50 and continues to sail upon the high and stormy seas of Life.
