“God, yes.” Myles pushed herself down to have them go deeper. Ty sucked her breast back into his mouth, and she felt her core tighten.
“You’re almost there. I can feel you tightening against my fingers,” Ty said, looking up at her.
“Come, Myles.” Logan sucked at the nape of her neck, and she screamed as her orgasm wracked her body. The visual she had on her mates seemed to go out for a second as she tried focusing her foggy mind back on them.
Ty slid inside her pussy, followed by Logan easing into her ass. The thought of pain didn’t even register in Myles’s mind. Their entrance felt smooth, almost slick inside of her. But she could still feel herself stretching around them. It was heavenly.
Myles wrapped her legs around Ty’s waist, and they seemed to spin in the darkness to a lying-down position. The details weren’t even important to her as she began kissing Ty’s chest.
“You feel so good.” Logan thrust deeper into her ass. She moved her hips and loved the full feeling they gave her.
Pressure gripped her hips from Ty’s hands, and she felt him widen his legs. He lifted his hips and the pace of his thrusts increased. The contrast between her mates’ speeds sent her body into a frenzy of need. Tightening began to take over her core, and she felt herself become extremely wet. Heat engulfed her skin, and Myles dug her nails into Ty as she felt both of her mates’ cocks swell inside of her.
Bright colors flashed. Myles screamed, and she felt her pussy grip around Ty’s cock tightly. As she spasmed between her men, she could hear them moan in release. Her vision was going out again, and she suddenly felt so tired and content that she let it overtake her.

The wind blew up dirt thick into the air as Logan and his group of men climbed through the rocky hills surrounding Whiskey River Ranch. Lightning flashed in the distance, illuminating their path, but only for a second. Eeriness hovered over Logan as he followed one of the intimidating brothers he’d asked Jack about. There was one in each group, and he got the scariest looking brother of them all.
Knox was the one with claw marks he thought had been tattooed on the man’s neck, but they were the real thing. The scars started just below his jawline and disappeared somewhere underneath his shirt. The vibes he sent off were causing Logan’s wolf to become defensive.
“All right, boss. We’ll be able to see the house once we round this turn. You want to take the lead from here.” Although Knox appeared to be helping, he sure did give off the vibe that there was a cliff waiting for him around the bend.
“Thanks, Knox. “ Logan nodded and led the way. He crouched down and eased up behind a boulder. Knox came to rest right next to him. He turned, and even though it was dark, he could see his eyes. “Can I trust you?” he whispered.
The overly muscular man stared at him. “I don’t lie. When I say yes, I mean it.”
Logan paused, confused. “So are you saying yes about me being able to trust you, or are you saying when you say yes, in general?”
Knox stared at him, and then he did something Logan hadn’t expected. He smiled. “Yes, you can trust me. Unless, of course, you break it. Are you planning on doing something?”
This guy…“Of course not. I’m going to be a very good Alpha. The best one I can be.” Logan narrowed his eyes. “Are you going to test me?”
“Do I need to?” Knox turned his head slightly, but Logan could tell he was trying not to smile.
He grabbed the guy’s beefy shoulder. “I like you, Knox. You’re okay.”
Lights flooded the backyard of the main house, and Logan and Knox grew silent, and so did everyone behind them.
“Great!” Samone walked out in a sapphire-blue, silk dress. Her heels, covered in diamonds, clicked against the large wooden deck. She was followed out by three men. Two were dressed in all black and unusually tall. If Logan had to guess, he’d say they were close to seven feet tall. The other was of average height and build.
“Are you sure?” Samone asked skeptically.
Movement from behind Logan had him ripping one of his pack members to the ground. “What are you doing? Do you want to blow our cover? You’re practically standing.”
The guy tilted his head back, still trying to peer over the boulder. “That’s Gary. He’s from Dark Days. I couldn’t get ahold of him to let him know the plan was back on. I think he’s a traitor.”
Logan let the man go and looked at the smaller guy. He did look familiar. “So he doesn’t know we’re here. Perfect.”
Samone grabbed Gary by the collar of the shirt. “I said, are you sure?” She pulled him closer.
“Yes! I’m positive. Jack isn’t Alpha anymore. The new one’s name is Logan. He was a human, but you can’t tell. His wolf is like nothing I’ve ever felt before.”
“Tell me more.” She shook him, but not to the effect Logan thought she wanted to.
“Uh, I don’t know what you want me to tell you. They called off the attack because of what you did to Jack’s sister.” The man’s eyes got big and he smiled. Shit. Logan could feel that something bad was about to happen. He was nothing more than a deer caught in the headlights, and there was anything he could do to get out of the way fast enough.
“Myles…She’s Logan and your guy Ty’s mate.”
Samone’s jaw dropped and she let go of Gary and stepped back. Her small hand came to her mouth.
“Get ready, boss,” Knox whispered. “I have a feeling the shit’s about to hit the fan. You shift the moment I tell you to. Got that?” Knox’s eyes were already clouding over with his wolf. The sound of his voice was more of a growl than anything. Logan could feel his wolf charging at his insides, ready to go.
“I’m ready.” Logan watched Samone scan the area. Her eyes connected with Ty and his group as he stepped into the lighted area of the dirt road. A snarl exploded from her mouth.
“Hey, Samone.” Jack walked into the light of the backyard, just to the right of Logan and his men.
Logan placed his hand on Knox’s shoulder. “Let’s make our appearance now, shall we?” He smiled at what he knew was going to be one of his new friends. “Come on, men.” Logan led the way down the path, and Samone’s eyes went right to him. Something passed through them that Logan couldn’t make out.
“You’re the new Alpha. I can feel it.” Her eyes narrowed, and she lowered to a crouch. The split from her dress exposed her hip, and she slowly unbuckled her heels at the ankle.
“Oh no, doll. Your fight’s not with me.” Logan smiled. “I don’t want your pack. But I do know someone who does.” He pointed to Jack. “You see, although you hurt me and Ty’s mate, and I would have killed you for that alone, my new brother here has a need to prove himself. You see, he wants to be an Alpha again. And what better way than defeating you and taking over everything you have. He’s a good leader. You, dear, are not.” Logan watched as her guards got closer to Samone. He could smell their fear. They didn’t stand a chance.
She snapped her human teeth in his direction. “I’m an excellent leader. Everyone here worships me. You seriously think they’ll want their enemy to lead them?”
“They fear you,” Jack said in disgust. He pulled the shirt over his head and kicked off his boots. “They’ll never have to worry about me gouging their eyes out for the pure pleasure of it.” He removed his pants, and kneeled to the ground, glaring at her.
“You seriously think you can beat me.” Samone laughed. “Let’s find out.”
A howl came from her mouth, and Logan felt his skin prickle. He looked to Knox, who was standing next to him.
“She just called her pack. Best start stripping down if you don’t want to ruin your clothes,” Knox said, quickly. He pulled the shirt over his head and Logan quickly followed. By the time he was stripping off his jeans, wolves started pouring in from the darkness.
When they stopped, Logan paused in shifting.
“What are you doing? Attack, you fools!”
“I told you. They don’t like you. I t
hink they’re ready for a new Alpha. Besides, look at the numbers, Samone. They’re not stupid.” Jack remained as still as a statue. Samone stepped through her two guards. “You think I’m afraid of you?”
“I think you are,” Ty said, smiling. “As a matter of fact, I know you are.”
“You!” Samone beelined for Ty, and Logan kept pace with her. She turned to look at him and stopped. “What, are you going to kill me for attacking him?”
Logan stopped and looked at her. “I won’t fight his battles. I know he can take care of himself. But he’s not yours to fight tonight. If you’re not afraid of Jack, I suggest you turn around and take up that challenge.”
A scream came out of her mouth. As she turned toward Jack, Logan watched her body contort and shift so fast he hardly caught the change. It appeared that one second she was human, the next wolf.
Light fur sped toward Jack. He sprang into action and sprinted toward her. Just when Logan thought he was going to stay human, Jack transformed and slammed into Samone’s wolf. Long claws from her front paw caught him across the face as they hit the ground. Blood soaked into Jack’s dark fur. His tongue reached up and licked the wound.
“She’s fast,” Knox whispered. “But I could take her easily.”
Jack growled and snapped in her direction. Samone stepped to the right and flashed in his direction. A howl escaped her as the dark wolf’s teeth sank into the arm she used to try to claw him with again. She limped to the side, snarling at him. Again, she tried to get close to him. Jack used his neck and slammed her small frame to the ground. He jumped to the side, easily missing the teeth she tried sinking into his fur.
“He’s not even trying very hard.” Logan grabbed his pants and slid them on. Ty must have noticed the same thing, too, because he moved his group of people over and stood next to Logan. “I don’t understand why he’s not finishing her.”
Knox leaned his head closer, looking at both Logan and Ty.
“Jack won’t kill her. That’s not his style. He’ll keep going until she’s finished. My guess is he’ll make her do the walk of shame.”
“Walk of shame?” Logan looked at him, confused.
“Yeah, he’ll make her leave here, on her own two feet. She’ll have to find another pack to take her in.”
“Oh.” Logan watched as time and time again Samone snapped and clawed in his direction. It wasn’t until she dropped to the ground, unmoving, that he watched Jack step back. He changed into human form.
“I think we know who the Alpha is, here, Samone.” Blood ran down his face from the scratches. The bruises were still slightly evident from his and Logan’s fight. Other than that, Jack looked fine.
Jack bent down and slid on his pants. It all happened so fast that Logan couldn’t believe his eyes. Samone’s wolf sprang from the ground, teeth bared. Before Logan could move or yell out to Jack, Knox was gone from his side and his wolf was flying through the air right for the Samone. Only thing was, Jack had been prepared. His human hand grabbed around her fur-covered throat, and he held her up to where her eyes had to connect with his.
“I could kill you right now.”
Logan could see his hand tightening. Her back legs kicked through the air frantically. “But you see, I have better plans for you.” He looked at Knox and then turned to the big man’s brother. “Damien, I hear there’s a dungeon here. How about you take our friend down there to wait for me. It’s time to teach her some respect.” Jack looked around. “Anyone want to point out the way?”
Wolves turned into human form all around. “I will,” more than a few of them said. Logan grabbed Ty’s hand. “How about we get back to our mate? I’m sure David is going crazy with worry over Jack. We should give him a call and let him know we’re on our way.”
“Sounds like a plan to me,” Ty said, tightening his grip.
Logan held in his smile. He hadn’t felt so happy or complete in his whole life. He thought he had when they first bonded, but somehow every day he loved his mates even more. It was amazing how the heart could contain so much emotion.
“Jack, we’re off. You okay here?”
The new Alpha of Whiskey River Ranch threw up his hands. “Look around, brother. I’m in paradise. Got me a new home. I have some amazing new wolves to get to know. I—” The smile fell from Jack’s face as his eyes came to rest on a redheaded woman walking toward the main house. Whatever he was about to say must have vanished because he immediately started walking toward her.
“Jack!”
He turned and looked at Logan, lost. “We’re leaving. You okay?”
“Never better, Lo.” He turned toward her again, but stopped and looked at Logan. “Tell David to get here ASAP. He’s not going to believe this.” Jack shook his head and laughed. “And then there were three,” he said quietly. The cowboy swung his shirt over his head in a circular motion and walked toward the house.
Logan turned to everyone. “Let’s get home, boys. Better get a move on it. We have a hell of a walk back to the cars.” He let go of Ty’s hand and waved as they headed back down the main road. Knox caught up with him. As he went over the past events in his mind, Logan felt himself perfectly content in his own little dream land. He had his mates, his pack, and now his new brother was their neighboring pack’s leader. Logan was pretty sure it didn’t get better than this.
“Logan, can I ask you a question?” Knox’s voice was low as he leaned close.
“Sure, what do you want to know?”
“Well, I’ve been on the road a lot lately, and I’ve been thinking.” Knox shook his head. “No, I have this nagging feeling.” He sighed. “I think I need some time off. You see, I’ve been really wanting to get my hands dirty at the ranch for a while. I’m not sure what I’d do, though.”
Logan’s eyes narrowed. “A nagging feeling, huh?”
“I can’t explain it,” Knox said, quietly. “My instincts are telling me that I need to be there.”
Logan’s mind went back to the night he and his mates were put together. Ty had mentioned following his instincts to the bar, even though he knew he wasn’t supposed to be there. He watched Knox run his fingers through his military-style haircut. The guy did look really stressed. Maybe Logan was wrong.
“I have the perfect job for you.”
“Really?” Knox looked a little surprised. As they walked on the beaten path, around the hill, something about the way things were working out felt right. Logan couldn’t explain it. Instead of questioning himself, he went with what all the wolves seemed to use. His instincts. Logan slapped Knox on the back of the shoulder.
“Yeah. I’ll introduce you to Lewis. He took over my job with the horses. He can break you in.”
By the time they got back to the cars, Ty was waiting for him by the truck. He kissed his mate’s hand and the two of them got in and led the way out. Lights cut through the darkness as they left the outskirts of Whiskey River Ranch. The ride back to the house took forever. Logan could feel his heart pounding as they pulled into the driveway. Just looking at the house, knowing Jack would never be coming back, made butterflies appear in his stomach.
Dark Days Ranch now belonged to him. He was the Alpha, and the leader of so many men and women. People would look up and depend on him for things that he couldn’t even fathom right now. But he knew he was ready. This was what he was meant for. He could feel it deep down in his bones.
The sound of the doors echoed as they left the truck and headed for Myles. David gave a thumbs-up from the living area, but he was deep in conversation on the phone. No doubt with Jack.
Logan walked down the hallway and opened Myles’s door. Ty was right behind him and they quietly came over to the edge of the bed. Her eyes fluttered open and she instantly started crying. Logan lowered his knees to the floor and hugged her.
“It’s done?” She sobbed.
Logan pulled back and smiled. “It’s done, baby. Your brother is the new Alpha of Whiskey River Ranch.”
“I can’t beli
eve it.” She looked at both him and Ty, and turned back to Logan. “And it’s only you now. You’re the Alpha of Dark Days Ranch.”
Ty crawled over to the other side of Myles and held her. “Can you believe it, My? Our Logan is the leader of Dark Days.” Ty laughed. “And so it begins. A new chapter of everyone’s life has just started, and they don’t even know the significance of it yet. You’re going to be such a great leader, Lo. I can feel it.”
“You don’t know how much that means to me.” Logan took in his mates and couldn’t believe the overwhelming amount of love he felt for each of them. He was going to be the best damn Alpha that there ever was. Not only did the pack need a good leader, but the lives of his mates were now in his hands. It was going to be up to him to protect them from enemies and packs trying to take over. And he’d do it, even if it took his life in the long run.
“I love you both. You know that, right?” Logan said the words, meaning them with every ounce of his soul. The two of them were made for him. No one could, or would, ever take their place. As they told him back, he knew he was the luckiest man alive. He climbed into bed and sandwiched Myles in between him and Ty. He did his best to try to keep as much distance as he could from her injuries, but the need to be close to her was all he wanted.
“Our new journey begins in the morning. It’s going to be a bumpy ride. Are you both ready for what the future holds?”
Myles grabbed Logan’s hand. “Fate led us to this moment, Logan. I’m a big believer that everything happens for a reason, and it doesn’t matter if the sky falls. When it settles we will still be standing tall by each other’s sides. There’s nothing we can’t face or overcome as long as we’re together.
“And that’ll be forever,” Ty said, smiling.
Yes. Forever. Logan closed his eyes, feeling whole for the first time in his life. He sure did like the sound of that. And he’d do everything within his power to make sure it happened.
