“If you wanna keep getting this good dick, you better keep your damn mouth shut and act right.” He said going in as deep as he could. She moaned from extreme pleasure.

  “I will.” She whispered.

“I didn’t hear you.” He stated pulling his dick out of her and holding it. He watched her sexy naked body lay there begging for more.

“I will.” She said repeatedly pulling him back on top of her. Rico smiled and eased back into her warm inviting pussy continuing to touch base with her juicy walls. Monica gripped the mid section of his back taking in a deep breath while holding tight and enjoyed the ride.

Rico felt good that he was finally in control of the infamous Miss Monica Hunter. She succumbed to his every command and happily accepted everything that he was offering her. It’s a shame that good sex had to be the key that would keep her in check.

Monty looked over at the time. It was three in the morning and he knew that it was time for him to go. Damn, time flies when you’re having fun. He thought. He’d just finished round two with MiKayla and hated to leave her like that. She’d put on a seductive show, bought him a nice birthday cake, and gave him some the best thrills he’d ever had. He got up out of bed and began to put his clothes on. He looked at MiKayla. She had dozed off to sleep. She looked beautiful laying there. He hated it, but he knew he had to wake her up to let her know that he was leaving. Once he was dressed he placed a gentle peck on her lips and she opened her eyes.

“Are you gone baby?” She asked, softly licking her lips and rubbing her eyes as she was trying to wake her up.

“Don’t move, babe. Get you some sleep and I’m gonna lock up behind me.” He stated and leaned down to kiss her on the forehead. “I truly enjoyed myself. You know how to show your man a good time.”

“You make it real easy.” MiKayla replied in sleepy tone while yawning. “Happy Birthday baby and a Happy New Year,” she said. She pulled the covers up around her neck. “I love you.”

“I love you, too.” Monty replied. He’d never told her that he loved her, but he thought that it was time that she knew exactly how he felt about her. She smiled at him because she’d been waiting to hear those words for a while now. He smiled back at her and walked out of the room.

“I’ll call you later.” He said aloud so she could hear him as he walked down her long hallway. He walked out of the door and locked it behind him as got in his Tahoe to head over to Candy’s house.

  Chapter Twenty-five

Catherine sat on a bar stool pulled up to her granite counter top. She felt the blessings shining through the window that was above her kitchen sink. From her seat she could still view the snow flurries blowing in the wind as she looked around her large decorated kitchen. Joe held the refrigerator door open waiting for his cue to remove another item. The Blair Underwood look-a-like turned around and looked at her. He smiled as she smiled back. She loved to look in his handsome face and was very thrilled to have him be there with her on such a special occasion. She’d been calling off items on her things to cook list as Joe pulled the items out one by one. She sighed, as she looked at all the food that he had removed.

“Honey, do you think that this is going to be enough?” Catherine asked. Joe looked over on the counter realizing how much food there would be to prepare.

“Doll, what do you think?” Joe asked. “Let me hear the list again.” He said while shutting the refrigerator door. Catherine looked at the top of the list. She had the menu all laid out for the day’s dinner. She began to read off of the list.

“I’m cooking,” she paused clearing her throat and smiled. “My bad… we’re cooking collard greens with pork tails, homemade dressing, macaroni and cheese, black eyed peas with rice, and peach cobbler. Don’t forget that the ham is in the oven and it should be ready soon. I can already smell it.” Joe shook his head in agreement.

“It smells good, too.” He said. Catherine looked over on the counter beside her. “We also have this 11” x 15” birthday cake for Monty. That boy loves cake.” Joe walked over and kissed her on the lips.

“So what time will everyone arrive?” Joe asked.

“I don’t know. I spoke with Mona and Candy earlier. I told them both to be here by noon. I need them to help me as much as they can, because this is a big dinner. Everyone else knows that dinner will be served around 3:30 or 4:00. You know black people ain’t ever on time.” They both laughed. “Mama Mack, Rico’s mom, is also coming early to help prep the food before I start cooking. She should be here shortly.”

“Oh, okay so all I really need to do is fry the turkey then, right?” Joe asked.

“Yeah, and keep me company until they arrive.” Catherine stated.

“I have no problem with that at all.” Joe said. He gave Catherine a light peck on the lips. “You really make me happy. You know that don’t you?”

“Yes I do and you make me feel the same way.” Catherine responded with a smile. They embraced and shared a passionate kiss.

“Good Morning, Birthday Boy.” Candy said as Monty walked into the kitchen where she was preparing bottles of milk for MJ. “Happy New Year, baby.” She walked over and hugged him around his neck.

“Thanks baby and Happy New Year to you, too.” He gently kissed her. He looked over at the clock. “Where are you heading to at 10:30 in the morning?” He asked. He looked over on the counter top at MJ who was peacefully sleeping and strapped inside of his car seat.

“I told you when you came in this morning that I was going over to your mom’s house to help her get things ready for dinner today. Did you forget?” Candy asked while placing the baby bottles inside the bottle holder pockets on MJ’s baby bag.

“Yeah, I guess I did forget.” Monty replied.

“You were so out of it this morning when you got here that you fell asleep right away. You and the guys must’ve really partied hard last night.” She stated as she heated up his food in the microwave. Monty looked at her and smiled. He then kissed MJ on the forehead and sat down at the kitchen table.

“Yeah, I think we partied a little too hard.” He responded.

“So, what did y’all do?” Candy asked as she removed the plate of eggs, grits, bacon, and toast that she cooked for him earlier. She sat the plate of hot food in front of him.

“Thank you, babe. This food really looks good.” He smiled mixing his grits and eggs together.

“Well,” Candy said waiting for a response to her question.

“I’m sorry baby. You threw me off when you put this breakfast in front of me.” Monty took a bite of his toast. “We went downtown to Fantasies, first. The strip show wasn’t all that, to be honest.” Candy smiled, because she did figure that they would be going to look at some naked ass. She was just glad that his dick wasn’t lying in between it.

“And, what did y’all do after that? I know y’all didn’t stay in the strip club long if the show wasn’t all that.” She mocked.

“Naw, we left after about an hour and headed to Club Dream.” He said as he ate his breakfast. He was hoping that Rico had the same story down packed and wouldn’t fuck it up by saying something different. Candy sat a glass of orange juice beside Monty’s plate. He immediately picked up the glass and drank from it. He was stalling for time as he continued to talk about the night he had. “It wasn’t really shit going on at the club either, but I wasn’t leaving there to go anywhere else. So, we ordered bottles of Grey Goose and got our drink on. I ain’t gone lie… I can still feel it this morning.” Candy shook her head. She was satisfied with his story and she knew he had to be drunk by the way his head hit the pillow and his eyes never opened.

“Well, I’m glad you had fun. I thought we were gonna get down when you got here, but after you fell asleep so fast I didn’t wanna bother you.” She laughed.

“Don’t worry about that. You know I got you. We might even go back in the bathroom at Mama’s later. That was some good shit last night.” They laughed. Candy grabbed MJ’s b
ag and her purse.

“You’re silly.” She commented. “I’m driving your vehicle, because it’s parked inside the garage and your gifts are in there. You can open them at your mom’s house.

“That’s cool.” He gestured for her to come over to him.

“What’s up babe,” she said while walking over to him and standing in front of him. He grabbed her around the waist.

“You know I love you and my lil man more than you could ever imagine and I can’t see living my life without you and him in it.” He kissed her on the lips. “I know I’ve done some fucked up shit in the past, but I promise that you’ve always been number one and no other chick could ever take your place. Please believe me when I say that.” He sincerely said. Candy smiled and hugged him tight around his neck. “I love you.” He commented

“I know you do baby and I love you too. I pray that this year brings us happiness and prosperity as we’re building our life together.” She kissed him. “Now, grab your baby and walk us out to the car because I can feel it getting hot in here and I’ll never make it to your mom’s house on time.” He laughed slapping her on the butt as she turned to walk out.

“You’re right about that.” He commented. She opened the door which led out into the garage. She opened up the passenger back door of the Tahoe for Monty to strap MJ’s car seat in. When he finished he closed the door behind him. He embraced her as they hugged.

“What time are you coming over?” She asked.

“Rico and I are coming together. He should be here in ‘bout an hour. We’re going to shoot a few games of pool and then we’re coming. I can’t wait. I know Mama and Mama Mack are throwing down.” He said opening up the driver door for her. “You’re gonna miss the surprise I had for you, because you’re leaving so early.” He stated.

  “What surprise?” She asked.

“Don’t worry about it. I’ll stick around until they’re delivered and you’ll see them when you come back later.” Candy smiled so big. She already knew what he had for her and she loved every time a nice vase of flowers were delivered to her house. It made her feel appreciated and loved.

“Awww, you’ve got to be the best boyfriend in the world.”

“Yeah well, what can I say?” They laughed.

“Well, be careful in this weather and call me when you get yourself situated. I love you.” Candy got inside the car.

“You be careful, too and I love you more. Tell Mama I’m coming in a little bit.” He closed the door behind her. Candy let up the garage, started up the Tahoe, and backed out to leave. Monty walked back inside the house and checked his phone. He’d gotten a text message from MiKayla saying that she needed to see him ASAP. He was a little confused knowing that he’d told her that he would call her when he got the chance, but figured he’d just stop by quickly once Rico made it there. He wanted to see her anyway and this would give him a reason to.

  __________

Rico put the dirty dishes into the dishwasher. He’d gotten up early and cooked breakfast for Mona. He felt guilty about being with Monica, but enjoyed every bit of it. His thoughts kept reflecting back to how good Monica made him feel, but he knew he couldn’t let those thoughts get him into trouble with Mona so he tried desperately not to think about it anymore. Once the few dishes were loaded inside the dishwasher he turned to find Mona standing there with her arms folded.

“Hey baby, what’s up?” He asked. “Why are you looking so mean?”

“Your baby mama is calling you.” She said. She held out his cell phone. Rico swallowed hard. Oh shit, he quickly thought.

“I didn’t even hear it ringing.” He said clearing his throat.

“That’s because your phone is still on vibrate.” She replied. “No telling what the hell she wants.” She rolled her eyes. “She just gets under my skin.” Rico quickly reached for his phone. Mona walked over by the sofa and picked up her Louis Vuitton bag. “I’m ‘bout to head on over to Mama’s house. Candy should be leaving her house as well to meet me there.”

“Well, be careful driving over there and I’ll be there once Monty and I finish running around.” Rico kissed her on the lips. He didn’t want to make it seem as if he was anxious for her to leave so he could call Monica back and ask her why the hell she was calling him like that.

“Okay, I’ll drive safe, but before I leave call your baby mama back, because I’m curious to know what she wants.” Rico held his composure even though he was nervous as hell. He didn’t want the time he spent with Monica to blow up in his face. He slowly looked at his phone and scrolled down to her name and pressed the send key. He put the phone up to his ear while Mona looked at him. The sweat beads began to form on his forehead. He figured that if she didn’t answer by the third ring that he would hang up. Mona surprised him by what she would do next. She took the phone from him and put the call on speaker phone. Rico could feel a lump growing in his throat.

Dayum! He thought. What the hell is she up to and why is she pulling this shit today out of all days? He wondered as the phone’s loud ringing made his heart beat faster. Just as he thought it was about to go to voicemail, Monica answered. Mona held the phone up in between her and Rico. She raised her eyebrows for him to say something.

“Hey Monica, what’s up?” He asked, not batting an eye. “You called me?”

“Hey Rico,” she pleasantly said as the faint sounds of Aiden’s cooing in the background could be heard over the phone. “Yeah, I called you a little while ago.” Rico’s knees felt like they were buckling. He could already picture Mona’s fist punching him in the face the minute Monica put him on Front Street. “I want to start the New Year off right. I don’t want any more tension or conflict between us.” Monica softly said.

Mona stood there with a raised eyebrow and a hand on her hip. Yeah right, she thought.

“Sounds good to me,” Rico replied. “So what did you have in mind?” Rico asked almost holding his breath.

“You and Mona can pick up Aiden and spend the New Year with him and y’all can drop him off later this evening.” Monica said. Rico’s face lit up. Mona could tell how excited he was to be able to spend time with his son.

“Monica, you know I would love to spend the day with my boy. I appreciate that.” Mona handed him the phone. “I’ll be over there to pick him up in a couple of hours.” Rico said.

“Okay, that’s cool and he’ll be ready.” Monica said. “Oh and by the way Happy New Year to you and Mona. I’ll see ya when you get here.” She hung up the phone.

Mona looked a bit shocked by Monica’s new attitude. “Well, let’s hope that she is willing to keep this new attitude of hers.” She said as she kissed Rico. “I can’t believe it. Maybe she’s coming to her senses. You think?” She asked. I highly doubt it, she thought.

“I don’t know, babe. It would be nice and less complicated if she was.” Mona grabbed her keys.

“Babe, drive my car. You know I need to put some air in your back tires.” Rico suggested.

“I forgot babe.” Mona smiled and put her keys down while grabbing his car keys. “I can’t wait to see lil Aiden with his cute self.” She commented. Rico walked her out to the car. He was relieved and it felt good to have Monica on board without all the drama.

“Yeah, I’m happy about that, too. I’m not picking him up until I’m on the way over to your mama’s.” He said.

“Okay, baby and beware of the wicked witch. It almost seems like her attitude is too good to be true.” Mona stated.

“Don’t you worry, babe. I know Monica.” He replied and shut the car door once Mona was safely buckled inside. He turned around to walk inside the house with a smile on his face. Monica was already proving herself and he was really feeling it.

MiKayla sat on the panel of her bay window watching the snow as it began to fall heavier. It was very pretty and white outside. She wished that Monty was her man only, but knew that Candy and MJ came before her. She felt bad about choosing to be in a relatio
nship with him, but Monty made her feel good when she was with him and that’s the only feeling she cared to have. She began to feel queasy, because she also knew that the news she had to tell him would make or break what they shared.

She patiently sat in the window and waited for Monty to stop by. It had been almost two hours since she’d hung up with him and he had told her that he was on the way over once Rico made it there. She was anxious and excited as she waited. She’d gotten in too deep to turn back now. She didn’t know what to do and one thing for sure is that she didn’t want to lose him. She walked to her refrigerator as she opened it up and got out a bottle of water. She drank a little bit of it and picked up the white stick that she’d peed on earlier to see if she was really pregnant. Sure enough it still bared the big blue plus sign indicating what she was hoping it would read. She paced the kitchen floor shaking the stick lightly in her hand. She kept thinking of ways that she could tell Monty that she was going to have his baby. Her heart felt heavy but in a good way. She felt she had a second chance to be a parent and she wasn’t letting anyone or anything ruin her chance of motherhood this time around. She sat back down on the panel inside the bay window and held the white stick up to her eyes to take another peek at it like the dark blue plus sign was going to mysteriously disappear.

“It’s not changing, K.” She said aloud. As she turned to look back out the window, she could clearly see the black BMW 750 coming around the corner. Its glossy paint and shiny 22 inch rims glistened in the snowfall. Her heart dropped. She was stuck, hearing the music boom louder as the car pulled up in her driveway. Her butt felt glued to the panel, but she knew she had to make herself get up before Monty walked in. She heard his key unlock the door and she quickly stood to her feet, sliding the pregnancy stick in her pocket.
