Hang Em' Up: A Bad Boy Sports Pregnancy Romance Page 12

by Ashley Stewart

His words were always the same, but I saw something in his eyes that I had never seen before…fear. I could sense his racing pulse, his heart pounding, his lips tightened by a sudden distress from what he saw in my eyes. “I think that you should leave before things get nasty.”

He didn’t take his hand off my wrist until I began to pry each finger off of me. He looked at me truly stunned by my behavior. Then he brought his hand around to smack me across the face. I grabbed his wrist before his hand reached its final destination.

I’m leaving, but I’ll be back tonight, and you better be packed and ready to go, or else.” He backed away, shaking his head in almost disbelief at how I had stood up to him. “Don’t even try to pull that crap on me when we get home or you will find yourself in the emergency room,” James mumbled as he continued to back away, not taking his eyes off of me.

I stood there with an intense desire to run headlong at him and attack him with my teeth bared and my fingernails digging into his skin. I’d never stood my ground before. It felt euphoric and once again I felt powerful and sure of myself. “I would suggest that you don’t come back, but I know that you will regardless of the fact that I don’t want you to.”

The ding from over the door brought me back to where I was and I looked around to see that the patrons had stopped eating and were staring at me.

“I saw what happened and I’m guessing he's the reason you came to town." Sharon stood at my shoulder. "If you want to leave, I'll understand, but I don’t think you need to. I’ve never seen a man practically run out that door before. Whatever domestic issues you have, it appears you've gotten past them. Trust your instincts and they'll take you far.” She was telling me everything that I needed to hear but already knew deep down in my heart.

“I don’t know what happened, but for whatever reason, I'm not afraid of him anymore. In fact, if he tries to come back, he'll rue the day that he ever put his hands on me in the first place.” I had my hand balled up into a fist, my fingernails digging into my skin, I was actually causing myself pain, and eliciting a moment of intense joy. Blood began to slide down hand where my fingertips had dug in, and I was tempted to just lick it clean, but instead I went into the bathroom to compose myself and make myself more presentable.

I stood there at the sink staring into the mirror at someone I no longer recognized. I didn't understand any of it, but I was no longer meek and timid. Instead, I was strong and determined. I wasn't going to let anybody keep me down anymore. I knew that James would want to kill me for being disobedient, but I also knew that he would never lay his hands on me again. I looked down to where my hand had been bleeding, only to see a couple of pinpricks and no real damage at all.

  Chapter 7

It was getting near to closing time, and I could almost smell him in the air. I found Dean and we made love all over again. It was getting to the point where I couldn’t go more than 20 minutes without feeling his hands on my body and his lips on mine. We were insatiable and there was no way that I could control it, any more than I could control how I breathed air into my lungs.

“Connie, I want you to know that I will protect you, but I don’t think you need it. From now on, nobody’s going to tell you what to do and if they try, they'll find out in a hurry that you’re not somebody to be messed with. If you do need me, I'll be there, and the rest of us will make sure that this man never bothers you again.”

His hands were on the small of my back and that sensation alone caused my legs to quiver and my knees to almost buckle from the pressure of pleasure.

“I think I love you and I know that might sound strange coming from a man such as me. I do mean it and you could say that that bite cemented itself in my head and in my heart. Inside you is the heart of a lion and I want you to use that and feed on it.”

There was something in the air and I thought it smelled familiar, but I wasn’t quite sure where I had come across it before. “I’m going to finish up cleaning up out there. Why don’t you take out the garbage and then we can go to bed together.” It was like I had known him all my life and our connection went beyond the physical to a whole different level.

“Connie, I think you should take the bull by the horns.”

I felt this rush of lust and I grabbed him by the throat and pushed him up against the wall.

“That’s it, let it out and you’ll be amazed by what you can truly accomplish.”

He didn’t seem to care that I was choking him. I grabbed his apron and threw it on the floor. I went after his white starched shirt and tore it off his body with one quick motion. It lay in ribbons between us, pieces of it still clinging to his beautiful physique. I dropped to the floor, so that I could get at his pants.

“I need you and God damn it, I’m going to have you!” I’d never been so wild and untamed before, and I actually used my teeth to undo his zipper and pull his pants down to his ankles. "This is all mine and from now on nobody is going to have it, but me.” I licked the skin of his shaft and felt as though actually sense what he was feeling. “This is absolutely indescribable. I can’t even begin to explain I'm feeling.” My legs were shivering and trembling to the feel of my own tongue working him over into a frenzy. I devoured that piece of meat and didn’t stop until it was lodged in my throat. I moved my head back and forth, sticking out my tongue and licking at his family jewels at the same time. He was running his hands through my hair as a deep growl came from inside his stomach.

He might’ve been hungry, but I was famished and the only thing that was going to satisfy me was his unique type of loving. He was no longer the one in control and I had him almost to the edge of his own bliss, when I stopped and stood with my hands still wrapped around him. I turned him around and slapped his ass, giving it a nice rosy color, before I turned him back. His cock was so swollen, it couldn’t possibly take much more.

I dragged him by the shaft all the way over to the metal prep table and jumped up to give him room to move in between me. He wasn’t doing this on his own; I had him by the cock, using it as a leash of sorts to pull him into my tightness.

“Yes, Connie, show me the wild animal inside you. Set it free and let it roam with no inhibitions.”

I used my fingers to excite him, running his head up over my clit several times, making me want him almost more than life itself.

Then I buried him within me and held on for the long ride of his manhood until he was all the way in. I grabbed him by the hair and kissed him, pushing my pelvis up against him. He joined me in a cacophony of sexual sounds that spilled from our lips. “Yes, fuck me… Fuck me you nasty bastard. I want it! This is what I’ve been missing all my life. I’ve never had anything like this. I want to consume you and I don’t ever want to be without it.” I growled these statements, spittle coming from my mouth and sweat streaming down between my breasts.

I hadn’t even taken off my clothes. My skirt was raised and my panties were pushed to the side, exactly how he had them earlier with his fingers.

“I’ve been looking for you my whole life, Connie. I guess I’ve been looking in the wrong places and I just had to wait until you walked through that door to know that my soul mate had arrived.”

He was giving me his cock and the friction alone against my thighs was enough to make me scream his name. I drove my teeth into his shoulder, moaned with my eyes closed, as my entire body reacted to the invading presence of his equipment. I’d never squirted before and this was the first time that I felt that I could. Then it happened and I looked down to see that his cock was now soaking wet.

“I want that hot cum… I want you to serve it to me like a good little boy.” I held onto the metal surface of the prep table, bracing myself for his continued onslaught on my open and inviting legs. I felt him getting close and then his eyes went wide as he began to shoot. It was never ending and the heat of his discharge was enough to make me have another orgasm all over his cock. It didn’t end until he finally pulled free with his depleted member still compl
etely saturated in both of our juices.

I reached down and scooped up the last little bit on the tip and then I let him watch me as I sucked it off my finger with more enthusiasm than I had ever had before. There was something happening and my body was different, a fact which became more apparent when I looked into his eyes and saw that they were glowing a brilliant shade of yellow. It vanished just as quickly as it had appeared. It was as though I knew what was happening but at the same time, I didn't know.

I released him and he went over to the two bags of garbage by the back door to take them to the trash bin outside. I took that time to relax. We looked at each other and knew that this was just the beginning of a relationship that had been born out of one night of passion. There was no denying that we had chemistry, but it went beyond that. There was something more between us than just a normal mutual attraction. This was destiny,

He went out the back door with two bags of garbage in his hands. I heard the sound of metal striking metal. There was a loud thump and someone moaned in pain. That same sound of metal hitting metal became more pronounced and I ran outside to find James standing over Dean. He had struck Dean the head with a tire iron and was poised to do it again.

I went completely ballistic, and a fearful roar came from me as I ripped the tire iron away from James. He turned and swung his fist at my face. It was as though it happened in slow motion. I grabbed his fist and squeezed, my blood boiling. My hand transformed from the white porcelain skin an animal's claw, coated with brown fur and sharp nails.

  “What…ahhhh…the fuck are you?”

He went down on his knees in pain as I stood over him, his fist still in my hand, the bones cracking in my grip.

“AGGGGHHHHHH.” His screams were like music to my ears. He scrambled away from me on his hands and knees in the dirt. “Get the fuck away from me…you freak!”

Not only didn’t I get away from him, but I began to stalk him on all fours, my body taking on new life. I heard the sound of cracking bones, but this time it wasn’t coming James.

As I moved across the dirt, I saw my reflection in the metal Dumpster. I was now a Lioness, a white stripe across my back. James stared at me, fear radiating from him in waves. He reached for his keys as he got to his feet and started to run toward his pickup truck. I went after him, but then he stopped, his feet actually sliding in the dirt. Two pairs of eyes peered at him from the darkness. Two more lions emerged, looking very similar to myself.

A scuffling sound made me turn to see another lion standing beside me. We stared into each other's eyes and I knew instinctively that it was Dean. We all attacked at the exact same time. Our group mentality was to tear our victims apart, and that's exactly what we did. It hadn't been raw hamburger in my teeth the other morning; it had been meat from the animal I had devoured along with my pack.

There wasn’t much left of my ex-boyfriend when we were done. We transformed back to our naked human forms. The other two lions were Sharon, the owner of this establishment, and the man who had given me the good-natured swat on the ass for having good coffee.

We didn’t need to talk as the four of us began to pick up the scraps that were left, dumping them into the trash where they belonged. We then went our separate ways, but only until it was time to meet up for the hunt at midnight.

I had become the animal I was always destined to be. At the same time, I discovered a newfound family and the perfect lover, who were always meant to be mine.

  Chapter 1

Bryansville would be the fresh start that Allison needed. Here she could begin a new life. The town was small, but the people were friendly, the atmosphere welcoming. There wasn’t much but a diner, an old gas station and a few small stores. The nearest mall was over an hour’s drive away, so she would have to do most of her shopping online, but there was something inviting about the charm of the town. She had just picked up the keys to the house she was going to be renting and she was hoping this would unlock her future, opening a door to a much-needed new life. The property manager had offered to show her the house before she signed the lease, but she didn’t find it necessary. All she needed was a house in a secluded area, off the beaten path, and looking at the pictures of it online this one appeared to fit the bill perfectly.

As she pulled up to the old white house, after making her way down the long driveway, she couldn’t help but smile, this was exactly what she had hoped for. Sure, the paint was peeling and the bushes were overgrown, but the home was a lot like her; a beautiful mess with a covered past.

“Come on Tiny.” She called her dog, which was anything but small. Tiny was a large German shepherd. Gentle and loyal to Allison, but extremely protective, he would never show the same kindness to anyone who may wish to do her harm. When she found him at a shelter he was just as lonely and desperate as her. Together they had found friendship, a deep bond. Without his companionship she would be alone and broken.

The lock on the door was tricky, but it finally opened to a dusty entrance. Looking around each room she found the same hardwood floors throughout, the walls of the large rooms begging to be painted. This was exactly what she needed, a challenge. She went out to her car and carried in the only three boxes she had from her old life. One box contained clothing, another dishes and other kitchen items, but the last box held pictures of the woman she once was. She had thought about burning them, destroying her past, but it seemed too cruel. Setting the box in a closet, she closed the door behind her and continued into the kitchen.

After unloading her dishes from the box and into the cabinets, she opened the bare refrigerator and realized that she would need to make a run to the store so that she had food to eat. Before leaving she caught her image in the antique mirror hanging next to the front door. Her golden hair had grown fast since her last haircut and was now past her shoulders, her lips were full and her eyes a dark green, she appeared to be the same person she had always been, yet she felt so different now.

“I’ll be back real quick Tiny!” She called out to her canine friend as she grabbed her keys and left her new home.

The town was small, but it did have a grocery store. It wasn’t a large supermarket, but it had the essentials, enough to satisfy her sweet tooth and love for potato chips. As she was checking out she made friendly conversation with the older woman working behind the cash register.

“Are you new to town or just passing through?” The woman asked, her gray hair circling on top of her head like a fluffy cloud.

“Actually, I just moved here. Today.” Allison handed her money to pay for the groceries.

“Well, welcome to Bryransville. My name is Theresa Jackson and if you need anything, you just let me know.”

“Okay, I will. Thanks.” She grabbed her groceries and turned to go. A sign posted on the front door stopped her, caused her to turn back to Theresa. “You know what, maybe you can help me out. I see that you are hiring and I am in need of a job.”

“You want a job, here at the store?” Theresa asked as though she was surprised that Allison would want to work there.

  “Yes.” She said.

“Well, come in Monday around noon and we’ll talk some more.” Theresa smiled.

Allison left and headed back home. The drive was free of traffic, giving her time to think.

Before Bryansville, she had been an administrative assistant with a well-paying job and a promising career ahead of her. She had graduated college about four years ago with a bachelor’s degree, but now that she was here, starting over, well, working as a small-town store clerk would be perfect. All she wanted was a simple life without the chaos that always seemed to follow her.

She turned into her new driveway and reminded herself to paint the old mailbox. The driveway was long, but she liked the privacy it allowed. There was a heavy tree line in front, so no one could see the house from the road. The renting agency had told her that the house came with seven acres, but the nei
ghbors owned hundreds of acres that surrounded her house. The woods behind belonged to them, but she’d been reassured that they didn’t allow hunters on their property, so Tiny would be safe. From the car, she looked at the house and she felt like this would be the perfect place for her new beginning.

After almost dumping her groceries all over, she finally got the key in the door and opened it. Tiny came rushing to greet her, tail wagging thirty miles per hour.

“Hey boy.” She told him. “Come on out.”

He ran from the porch to the green grass and looked totally free as he hurried excitedly through the yard. Allison laughed as he rolled around like a fool on the ground. He seemed to be enjoying his new life as well. Suddenly he stopped moving and raised his ears, alerted to a noise she hadn’t heard, and within seconds he was gone. The big dog took off running to the yard behind the house. Allison chased after him, calling his name and demanding he come back. By the time she made it around the house he was already headed next door, to the old spilt wood fence that separated the property.

“Tiny! Get back here!” She yelled.

The loyal companion had always been rebellious, but he usually listened to Allison when she called. It was so unlike him to run from her. She rushed to catch up. When she finally did he was sitting in front of a man. The man was shirtless and petting Tiny and in return the dog was acting as though he known the stranger forever.

“I am so sorry!” Allison yelled out to the man as she got closer. “He never takes off.”

She got close enough to see the stranger better. He was tall, muscular, and more handsome than any man she had ever laid her eyes on. He was wearing nothing but jeans and boots. His body was large and athletic. His skin was tight and bronzed from the sun. There were scars all over his chest and shoulders, some small and some large. It did not bother Allison, for she too had her own battle wounds.
