Hang Em' Up: A Bad Boy Sports Pregnancy Romance Page 94

  “But?” I added.

“But I was wondering if we could lay here together for a while?”

It was a curious request considering how hot and heavy we were just a few minutes ago. I couldn’t say I wasn’t disappointed.

“Of course,” I answered. It would be really nice to have someone else in my apartment.

  He kissed me.

I gave him a peck kiss back and got up to go into the bathroom and get ready for bed. Shutting the door behind me, I placed both hands on the counter and looked at myself in the mirror. It was nice he was being such a gentleman but I wasn’t feeling like being much of a lady right now. I wanted all the sweat and the heat that came with great sex. It had been such a stressful week and I wanted release.

Did I care if I saw him again? I wasn’t sure. He was nice and there was something mysterious about him that triggered my attraction to him, but did I care enough to abstain to fit into the stereotypical mold of being a lady? Not really. Times have changed and although I have been good at staying away from bad boys, there was one in my bed right now that I couldn’t resist.

At the risk of being rejected, I decided just to go for it. I striped down until there was no clothing left on my body.

“I’ll be just a minute,” I yelled to the other room.

  “Okay,” I heard him say.

I jumped in the shower with the plan that I would take the fastest shower in the history of the world, using my bath sponge to clean every area of my body. The soap I used smelled good and lingered on my skin so I didn’t have to complicate things with perfume. Turning the water off, I jumped out of the shower and toweled my body off. I inserted my diaphragm, gave myself one last look in the mirror then opened the door and turned off the bathroom light.

I just stood there holding my breath hoping he wouldn’t reject me.

I felt his eyes roam over my body as he smiled. So far things appeared to be favorable. On the outside it looked like I had a load of confidence, but inside I was as insecure as the next woman who dared to walk out in front of a man naked. He seemed pleased.

He was sitting on my bed. I walked over to him and said nothing. I let his lust do the talking for both of us. He grabbed me around the waist and placed a kiss near my belly button, burying his face in my torso. The heat of his skin burned into me and I was getting wet again. He sat up tall and took one of my nipples into his mouth, flicking it back and forth with his tongue. I let out a low groan of pleasure as I tried to keep my knees from wobbling.

“You are gorgeous,” he said with a mouthful of my tit in his mouth.

I could tell he was hard. He had to be right now. The impatient part of my personality took over and I tried to help him unbuckle his jeans. He stopped me and placed my hands on his shoulders. He unfastened the button to his pants and unzipped them, pulling them down around his knees. He put his hands on my ass and squeezed firmly, lifting me off the ground slightly before setting me down gently on his cock. I felt my skin stretch to accommodate him glad that my previous notion about his size was not false. He was so big that it took me a second to adjust. Fortunately, I was so wet that despite his girth, he slid right into me. I sat on his lap with my legs wrapped around his waist as he sat on the edge of the bed. I wiggled my pelvis around in a circle causing his dick to move back and forth, hitting the deepest spot that would spur on my orgasm.

“Careful, baby. You’re going to make me come too soon.”

His words inflated my ego as I was pretty proud of myself for being able to bring him to climax this soon. I ignored his warning and began bouncing up and down on his slippery wet manhood. He lifted my ass cheeks assisting me in my rhythm and sucked on my tits. I thrust my head backward moving myself back and forth so that his dick could get a nice ride.

The motion was too much for both of us as my body began to twitch and spasm against his cock as he did the same. We let out a loud groan simultaneously as our orgasms fell in sync.

I woke up and rubbed the sleep from my eyes. I looked over and saw her sleeping peacefully on her stomach. That was one of the best sleeps I have had in a while. That was also the best sex I’ve ever had. She was amazing. I had completely pegged her as the innocent flower. I had no idea she could be that assertive.

She knew how to use my cock to get herself off. Her body was unbelievable. My mind filled with flashbacks of the way her tits bounced in front of my face as she rode me. I was getting hard again. Brushing those thoughts out of my mind, I got up and went into the kitchen to start the coffee. I had to spend some time rummaging around to find the coffee and found it in the cabinet.

I pulled it off the shelf and opened the lid when I felt her arms around me as she leaned in to kiss me. I stopped what I was doing, turned around and gave her a hug.

  “Good morning,” she said.

“It certainly is,” I replied placing a kiss on her forehead.

She looked up at me with a renewed heat in her eyes and I knew we were about to fuck again. I loved how ready she was to go at it.

My phone rang interrupting the mood. I walked over to the dining table and fished it out of my jacket pocket. The number on the screen was my boss’ office. I was expected to answer his calls without exception. A thought bothered me as I let it ring. What if he found out that I didn’t kill her? What if he wanted me to come in so he could whack me?

I pushed the green talk button. “Hello?”

She snuggled up to me, playfully licking my earlobe. I smiled but moved to avoid further distraction and to keep her from hearing my boss on the other line.

“You need to come in. The boss has another job for you,” a voice at the other end said.

“Got it. I’ll be there,” I said.

I hung up the phone, turned around and gave Cierra a disappointed look.

“It was work. I’ve got to go,” I told her.

“You don’t want breakfast?” she asked. “I had a very delicious course in mind.” She pointed to her pussy.

“Believe me, I would love to but I can’t. Can I get a rain check?” I asked hoping she would save it for me for later.

“Definitely.” She gave me a hot kiss, her tongue searching my mouth.

  Chapter 9

  Giovanni

The entire way I was concerned. There were plenty of loose lips and spying eyes around town and I wouldn’t be surprised at all if it did get back that I had lied to him and spared the girl.

The thing about the Geremia crime family is that they didn’t want explanations. If they found out that you betrayed them, that was it. You never saw it coming. I could very well be walking into a trap on the premise that I had another job waiting for me.

I parked in the side streets got out of my car and started walking for the club when Sal came out and stopped me.

“They know what you did,” he said.

“What are you talking about?” I asked.

“They know that you spared that girl. You need to get out of town. Now. They’re right inside, you need to leave now.”

  “No kidding?” I asked.

“Yes, so leave.” He hurried me back to my car.

“Thanks, Sal I appreciate it.” I said.

“No problem kid. I’d hate to see you end up like so many of the others. Get out and get as far away from the city as you can right now. Do you hear me?”

“I hear you. I’m on my way,” I said.

I started the car and pulled out hoping that nobody was going to follow me. My first thought was that I needed to get back to Cierra’s and see about her safety. She was home alone and had no idea what was about to go down. I had really screwed things up. Despite my best efforts to try and keep her out of all this, I ended up putting both of our lives in jeopardy.

Aside from having people after us, my biggest problem was going to be convincing Cierra to leave her house and come away with me out of town. I just met her last night. She’s not going to trust me. She was a smart
girl and she knew better, so I wasn’t sure what I was going to do to get her to come with me. I may have to end up kidnapping her for her own good.

Where would we ago? I had been in Miami so long that I had never thought about leaving. I assumed that this was going to be my life. And that’s the way it was. Now I’m faced with having to get her and myself out of this town and most likely the state. Where would we go?

I thought about what she had mentioned wanting to get out of town herself. Didn’t she say something about the Carolinas? Maybe that’s where we’ll go. The least I could do was make this as easy for her as possible, considering my part in all this. On the other hand, I did save her life. Whether she knew it or not.

I couldn’t have her killed. Not after I had gone through so much, damaging my own reputation and ruining my job to save her. I had some money saved up and a bug out bag in case something like this ever happened. So it was going to cost me nothing more than stopping by my house, picking up what I needed and heading on my way.

But for her, who knows how long it was going to take to convince her to come with me.

  Chapter 10

  Giovanni

I stopped by my place, got my bag and left really quickly. When I got to her place, I got out of the car and knocked on her door.

“Hey, you’re back early,” she said.

“Yeah, I know.” I closed the door quickly behind me and locked the deadbolt. “Listen, we can’t talk now we have to get out of town.”

“What are you talking about? I can’t go out of town. I have to work,” she said.

“You hate that job, don’t you? You should live a little. Why don’t you come away with me instead?” I tried to make this sound like a spontaneous vacation, mixing a little charm in with the urgency. There was no need to worry her unnecessarily unless I had to tell her. I wasn’t looking forward to telling her the truth. I knew it would freak her out.

“I’m sorry but I really can’t. My bills are due and I really need to keep working,” she said. “I don’t have a choice.”

I could tell she was confused. I was coming up with this from left field, and from her perspective we just met. In her eyes, it didn’t make sense. It looked like I was moving too fast. She probably saw me as just some guy who got a taste of her and wanted to live a little adventure.

“Look, you have to leave with me right now.”

She looked at me funny, like she didn’t understand what I meant.

“What are you talking about Giovanni? I don’t understand the urgency all of a sudden?”

“We are running out of time. Can you please, just trust me?”

“Trust you? I barely know you. I think you should leave.”

I looked at my watch. I knew that Antonio’s men were on their way. From what I was told, they had been watching me. I had no time to explain to her. I just needed her to do what I asked her to do, and do it quickly.

“Get your stuff and come with me. You don’t have a choice.” I pulled out a duffel bag from inside her closet and started stuffing her clothes inside of it.

“Stop that! What are you doing? Get out!” she screamed.

  Chapter 11

  Cierra

This guy was really freaking me out. I was completely scared and confused. It sounded like he wanted to run off together, but I had responsibilities here at home. Who was going to pay my bills? How was I going to survive? I needed this apartment and I need in my job. I couldn’t risk either of them to go away on some romantic vacation.

But as he continued talk to me, it sounded more urgent than some kind of spontaneous vacation and that bothered me. Why was he in such a hurry? He was giving me very little to go on, and the longer he stood there, trying to get me to go, the more I dug my heels in.

“You’re in big trouble. They’re coming.” His words hit me hard. I froze up and couldn’t move.

“What the hell are you talking about?” I asked.

“Cierra, if you don’t leave with me right now you are going to die. There are men on their way right now to kill us both.”

I put my hands to my mouth and a reactionary gasp escaped my lips. Terror surged through my body as I realized this had to do with the murder I witnessed. I knew it. There was nothing else it could be. I looked down to the floor as the wheels in my mind turned and I was slowly connecting the dots. He was involved.

I realized the man standing in front of me was involved; somehow connected with these murderers. I freaked out and I asked him. “Who are you? Who are you really? Don’t lie to me!”

“Please, you need to move and come with me. I will protect you, but we need to leave right now,” he said.

I heard a car pull up and ran to the front window to see who it was. There were two men parked in the car that looked remarkably like the men who murdered the guy that night.

“It’s too late,” he said. “Is there a back door to this place?”

  “Yes,” I said.

“Good. Let’s get out of here.”

Everything was happening so fast. One second I was getting ready for work the next I was leaving town unsure if I was ever coming back? None of this made any sense. And yet it made perfect sense. I had a feeling I wasn’t going to escape those guys. I was so scared seeing their faces again. Watching them step out of the car and walk toward my house, I decided to trust Giovanni and do as he asked. I grabbed some clothes and put them in my bag and zipped it up. I showed him to the back door.

I had no idea when I would be returning, but I sure as hell didn’t want to stay to find out what they wanted.

  Chapter 12

  Giovanni

I grabbed her hand and pulled her out of her house through the back door. We ran around the corner and into the side of the apartment complex trying to sneak past the men walking up to the apartment. However, they were standing outside blocking our path. There was no way to get past them to get to the car. They had parked right next to it, so I waited watching them.

One of the men knocked on the front door, pulled out his gun and waited for an answer while the second guy went around to the side of the house looking for a window. I knew it was a matter of time before he was going to circle back and find us on the other side. There were no other buildings to hide behind. We were stuck. It was at times like this where you just had to grab your balls and make a move so I gathered a plan in my head.

“Look, when I tell you to, you got to run as fast as you can and get in my car. Do you understand?” I told her.

“Shit!” was all she could say.

  “Do you understand?” I repeated.

  “Yes, I understand.”

  “All right, get ready.”

I watched the men as they walked around the side.

  “Okay, go!”

She took off running toward the car. I followed closely behind her with my gun out. The men must have seen the movement out of the corner of their eyes. They turned around and started shooting at us as we ran to find cover.

I opened the car door and let her get in first following her. I put the keys in the ignition and shifted it into drive while trying to shoot back at them. As I was trying hard to avoid their shots, I tried to make sure she ducked down out of the line of fire. Their vehicle blocked our path so I crashed into it to move it out of the way.

I managed to hit both the men, each with a several bullets to the torso. They dropped fast and lay still.

Cierra was terrified. Her body was on the floor of the car, trembling.

  “Stay down!” I told her.

I took off, relieved at the moment that no one was shooting at us. I knew there were going to be more people coming for us, however, and that we needed to be ready.

  Chapter 13

  Cierra

“What is going on? Who are those men? How did you know them? And why do you have a gun?” I screamed all of these things at once expecting him to answer me.

He was driving fast down the street. I was so terrified of what was going on righ
t now. I had no clue. It was all hitting me out of nowhere.

Giovanni kept his focus on the road. “I have to figure out where I can take you.”

  “Pull over,” I told him.

  “I can’t they’re following us.”

“Pull over right now!” I screamed.

He did as I asked pulling onto the side of the road. He stopped the car and turned off the ignition.

“Tell me what’s going on,” I demanded.

He looked at me calmly. “I am a hitman. I was hired to kill you because of the murder you witnessed.”

  “What?” I asked.

“They aren’t taking any chances that you can identify the men. They are the ones who chased you, do you remember that?

“Yes, of course, I ran for my life. I’ve never been so terrified.”

“Well you should be, they didn’t let it go. They have been planning this.”

I opened the car door and ran as fast as I could. I ran away from him and all of this mess. I couldn’t believe what was happening to me. I was just a nobody. How did all this happen? Why did I get mixed up in this? It wasn’t even my fault. Tears were streaming down my face. I couldn’t stifle the sobs.

Giovanni was behind me. I heard him start the car and put it in drive. He drove up the street to catch me. He sped up and turned the car into my path blocking me off.

“Stop running. There’s nowhere for you to go. You need my help to get out of here,” he said.

“I don’t want your help! I don’t want anybody’s help. I want you to leave me alone stay away from me!” I said.

  Chapter 14

  Giovanni

“I’m not going to hurt you but I need your cooperation if I’m going to help. You’re making this harder than it needs to be.”

“How can I trust you based on what you just told me? You were sent to kill me! And I let you in my bed?”

“Listen, you have no choice. Without my help they will track you down and kill you. The crime boss I work for isn’t going to rest until we’re both dead.”
