Again, thank you for reading. From my home by the tempestuous sea to your home, wherever you are in this beautiful world, I send you greetings. Until next time.

I’d like to take a moment to thank Daniel. Dan was helping me to understand a culture I’ve never lived, as well as the Hindu religion. While only touched on in the novel, I wanted to be respectful, without limiting all my characters to people who are exactly like me. While I’ve got a global roll-call of cultures and ethnic variations swimming around in my DNA (surprise!), I yearn to include everyone in the worlds I create. The world is full of interesting, brave, and wonderful people. I want to write them.
Dan was patient, kind, and laughed at me only when necessary. He recommended books for me to read and put up with my endless questions. Sadly, as I was writing this book, Dan lost his battle with cancer. His smiles and good heart have been, and will continue to be, deeply missed.
All errors made must be laid at my door. Most certainly, Dan would have caught them and in his gentle way, explained to me how I was wrong. After he left the world, I simply couldn’t bear to ask another to do what he was doing. I will miss him.
