“It will in time,” Jelina explained. “It will serve as a conduit, an avatar, but you will need to protect it and help it first. There may be people on Earth that do not believe in such a holy child. The child will be born on Earth, but connected directly to Spirit. It will become enlightened in its own time and will bring the Earth people to a higher place.”
Jelina paused then looked at Joshua and Layia. “We will still need your help with the initial energy bridge. We will need to bond with you, Joshua, to make the transition. Layia, you will ground Joshua with the earth energies so that we can then ascend without energy loss. When the child is safely in the womb of its earthly mother, then you will need to nurture it with our energy from the spirit world. You too, Joshua, will be a conduit to our realm.”
“And who will be the earthly mother of this child?” Layia asked curiously.
“We have chosen wisely. A great woman, who is wise and can handle this special gift,” Lillian said. “In time, this will be revealed. Soon the process will begin. This is a most fragile time. You need to focus your energies on the highest vibration. Do you understand?”
Layia acknowledged Lillian. Joshua understood, but looked confused. “And what do we do now? Do we return to Earth? Can I not stay here with you to help bridge the energy?”
“Joshua, we know you feel connected to this realm, but we need you to return to Earth,” Jelina said. “But be prepared. Let go of your anger and frustration. Start to focus on the higher vibrations. Reveal the truth. Start to heal and forgive your Elders. You will need to be an open vessel when we call for you. It will begin soon. It is time for us to go and regain our energy for the process. We will see you soon. Farewell, my Earth travelers.”
The two energies smiled at them as they quickly changed form. They merged with the larger energy source and slowly disappeared. Joshua still had many more questions, but they would have to wait. He closed his eyes and tried to stay calm. Layia was by his side, helping him keep stable. Joshua is indeed a channel for this task, she thought to herself, but I need to keep his emotions stable. Joshua and Layia, overwhelmed with all of these events, entered the vortex with Forena and made their way back to Earth. The time of ascension would come soon. They would need to prepare.
Chapter 31
The Confession
The two travelers were safely transported back through the portal and arrived in time for a Joint Council meeting at the University. No one knew what they had done and they would keep some of it secret until they felt it was time to reveal all. Marti, Tara and the others had kept their travels quiet. After returning from the Earth Council, Michael and Tythia had called the meeting. Jasmine and Talis had arrived a few hours earlier and had been alerted to the meeting as well.
The Council convened in the large meeting hall where Joshua had first met with the mystics. It was a particularly hot day, although a slight breeze was blowing through the large open windows. The expansive view of the University campus revealed a calm scene as the parties made their way into the meeting. This was a hastily arranged gathering, slightly disorganized, and only a handful of the members were present. They had not been alerted quickly enough, but many would be present on the virtual net. The meeting would also be broadcast publically.
The net was an important tool of communication and had been refined over the last few decades. People could tune in and interact directly in meetings, discussions, ceremonies, and just about all public gatherings. Privacy was honored, of course, but overall it was an open and transparent society. Computer technology had advanced to create a free virtual net that everyone could tap into. Electronic communication devices were also available free for all to use. Everyone had access and could give input when desired. This helped tremendously with open communication, equality and freedom. People communicated with one another and with their leaders, and the leaders listened. This was simply the way of their society. This meeting would be open to all. There was no holding back.
Michael and Tythia looked nervously at the young members that were there. Michael held a small folder tightly in his hand. They smiled at Talis. For a slight moment he wanted to look away, but he directed a nod of acknowledgement and a slight smile at them. Jasmine saw his effort and gently squeezed his hand.
“Be compassionate with them,” she whispered.
“I will.”
Talis looked over at Joshua and Layia. Joshua briefly looked at him, but seemed distant. They had not had a chance to talk since their travels.
Helena started the meeting with a short prayer and then spoke to the small group gathered there. “My friends. We must not be afraid of our challenges. We must open up and heal our wounds. Be honest and look deeply at ourselves. There is no shame. There is no guilt. We gave those things up long ago when the old destructive paradigm died. We must remember that we are part of the larger energy force that makes up our world and our universe. We have a say in our world in the way we feel, believe and act. Today we are here to be honest with one another and to start healing our collective soul.”
Tythia started the discussion, wanting to make her truth known. “Michael and I have gathered you all here to confess to hiding the truth. As Elders and children of the revolution, we tried to protect our society in the way we thought best. We believed so much—and still believe—in what we have accomplished. We have built a beautiful system. And now we must rise to a new level of understanding and healing.” She hesitated before continuing, looking at Michael, then at Talis.
“Talis, we have taken something from you. And we did it to protect you. I am sorry.” She took the folder from Michael’s hands and handed it to Talis. “This was part of your grandfather’s journals.”
Startled by the sudden announcement Talis accepted the folder and opened it slowly. The group was silent, allowing him to read. After several minutes tears slowly came to his eyes.
No one knew what to say except Michael and Tythia. “It was not your grandfather’s fault, Talis; it was all of ours. We all walked away, thinking that their sacrifice was the only way.”
“How did he do this?” Talis said in a whisper, as he could barely speak. Jasmine was close by his side. She had also read the missing pages. They both were stunned. They didn’t know what to think. Was this the secret?
Talis read aloud to the group the journal entry his grandfather had made some 61 years ago.
August 12th, 2034 – I had to make the decision. I locked the doors to the sanctuary and did not allow the mystics to leave. No one was allowed to help them. We could not take the chance. The cities were becoming more chaotic. We did not know what would happen if they broke the trance. I could tell they were in flux, that their bodies were slowly disappearing. I could have stopped it all and saved them, but I did nothing except turn away. Did I do the right thing? Divine Spirit, what did I do? She looked me in the eyes as she disappeared into the unknown. I will never forget her love. My Lillian.
Talis affirmed to the group what needed to be said. “It was my grandfather, Markus Dueter. He let Lillian and the others go. He knew they would disappear.”
The room was quiet again for several minutes. Jasmine held Talis tight. He was crying openly. Is this what Grandfather had wanted me to know? he thought to himself.
Michael spoke directly to Talis. “Forgive me, my son. I should have told you. I should have told the truth. We were blind with our ideals and vision.”
Talis was too shocked to acknowledge him. He wanted to hide right now and was silent.
Joshua was hesitant to speak up. He didn’t know if what he would reveal would help or hurt his friend. “For what it’s worth, my friend, remember that Lillian has forgiven your grandfather and the others. They understood what needed to be done.”
“But why was it hidden for so long?” Talis asked angrily. He looked at Michael and Tythia. “Why did you not tell us?”
Tythia tried her best to answer the complex question. “We were not sure what we had done until after it had ended. The
uprising was still occurring. The energy field was failing. The mystics were our hope. When they disappeared, we held the secret from many so that the revolution would continue. Our uprising was about changing the system and dismantling the old destructive paradigm. We knew we still had a chance if we did not give up.”
“So you believed that your continued efforts would ultimately change the system?”
“We believed in the power of a higher vibration. When the mystics disappeared, we still believed.” Michael answered with humbleness, trying to explain what had happened. “Yet we had to focus on what we could do ourselves, without them. Each one of us had the power within ourselves to change the system. We felt it was important to believe in our new world and act upon that belief. If you imagine a stable world, it is more likely to happen. What you think and feel does manifest. Your cells change with this belief. When a million souls believe in the same vision, the power of their collective energy transforms those around them. And with that energy, we acted. We needed to change our system by what we did on the physical level. With the initial help of the mystics, we had a chance. Now it was our turn. By changing the old institutions and the financial system, and by caring once again for the earth, we changed the world. Our peaceful society that is now set in place reflects our deep belief and our action. The mystics and the high vibration that they hold is important, but it is a combination of earth and spirit that make our world. It is love-in-action. “
Michael paused for a moment then looked at Talis. “You understand this, don’t you Talis? Love-in-action? When we reflect that strong belief in our heart and mind, our body and cells follow suit. It was essential, therefore, to still have hope and believe in our world with or without the power of the mystics. This was the foundation from which we built our new world. We may have not been honest about what went on, but we were sincere in our desire for positive change.”
After a quiet moment Layia gracefully added to this thought. “The lost mystics told us that we were not prepared for the truth earlier. That the belief in our uprising had to stay stable even after they disappeared, and that the people did indeed have to keep hope alive and believe in themselves and in their own energy. We have had to evolve as a people to understand their role and understand that their sacrifice was necessary for our growth. They told us that our cells had to first adapt to the peaceful ways of our new culture and our hearts had to open to be able to grasp such a truth and forgive. Otherwise the changes might not have occurred.”
“So they also knew this secret?” Jasmine asked as she held tight to Talis. “They hid it from our visions so that we could not see?”
Joshua acknowledged her directly. “Yes, they understood that what was done was for the greater good. They accepted their role in the journey and assisted with energy from their new realm.”
“So are we talking about faith then?” Talis asked again strongly.
“Faith that we could change the system, you mean, without the mystics help?” Tythia asked him.
“Yes,” Talis replied. “You had to have faith that your collective energy would indeed be strong enough to succeed in the uprising. Without the belief in your own abilities and energy, you would have failed.”
“That is what we had to believe to succeed,” Tythia answered. “Many of the powerful mystics were gone. We had to believe in our own energy and a higher power to succeed. Each person needed to have faith that they made a difference. And we had to act on this belief with conscious action. Not just belief, but actual system change. This was part of the revolution. Many of us still believe in this important balance. Our society is based on this. It is what makes us what we are today.”
Marti reminded them on a scientific level that this was correct. “The human body can raise consciousness because we are energy. We are part of the larger quantum field. Each person affects this energy field. And the earth is also part of this energy. The earth is a living system of which we are a part. Everyone is correct; we are both earth and spirit. As a unified group, we can overcome challenges on the physical level and change the world. We are a living proof of this. This is our way.”
“And what of the mystics now?” Talis asked slowly regaining his composure, but wanting to understand more. “Do you not believe that their energy is keeping us stable?”
Michael and Tythia glanced at each other. Michael tried to answer. “I have much respect for the mystics, the ones here and the ones in the other realm.” He looked at Helena, Jasmine and the other seers present. “Yet there are some still that believe that our energy is sufficient. That we do not need assistance. It goes back to our belief that we just explained.”
“Have we not given you assistance over the years here at the University?” Jasmine asked them with slight irritation.
“Forgive me, my dear Jasmine,” Michael said softly. “I appreciate all that you do. You do help us stay connected to spirit. You are wise teachers. We are grateful for your contributions to our world. Yet there are some that do not want us to connect with the lost mystics. They fear that this bridge is not natural and we are not prepared for it. That it is dangerous for all that we have accomplished.”
“I honor your perspective, but how can you say this when the lost mystics may indeed have been the ones that saved us?” Jasmine asked again strongly.
Just then a large explosion was heard on the edge of the University. It startled the meeting and everyone rushed out to the balcony.
“It’s the portal!” Tara shouted to the others. “There has been an explosion and it’s on fire!”
The group stood still. They could not believe what was happening. Was their world falling apart? The large glass building was shattered and slowly falling down as smoke and fire filled the sky. The portal had been destroyed.
“Mother Earth, spirits of the universe, help us,” Helena prayed aloud.
“Did you and your believers do this?” Joshua shouted angrily at Michael and Tythia.
They were taken aback. Michael answered directly and sincerely. “No, my son, this is not our way.”
“And the portal sabotage originally? Is this the same group?” Joshua asked an open question to the group.
“I have a feeling I know the answer,” Tythia said, looking at the burning horizon.
“Do we not need the portal for the ascension of the mystics and for the child?” Layia cried out.
“What child?” Talis asked anxiously. He had had a few too many surprises today. The group stared at Layia. She was hesitant to speak first looking to Joshua. “I’m sorry,” she said to him.
Joshua took a few deep breaths then looked at all in the group. “Lillian is carrying a child. It is a child conceived on Earth by her and Markus. It holds the collective wisdom of all the mystics. It needs to return to us to be born an Earth child. It is this that will eventually bring us stability.”
The stillness was tense, the silence deafening. The group looked toward the burning building. Their hopes were shattered, the pain deep, yet they knew they needed to move forward to survive.
Chapter 32
The Secret Revealed
Joshua had wanted to keep quiet about the miracle child of Lillian and Markus. He wasn’t sure who he could trust and was unclear as to what was actually going to happen. After the confession at the meeting, though, and the destruction of the portal, he needed the help of several allies to come up with a solution to the ascension of the mystics and transfer of this special child.
Many in the group stayed close to the University, waiting for some answers. Marti and several others surveyed the damage to the portal building. It had been totally destroyed. Property destruction of this type was a rarity; acts such as these were no longer part of their culture. Yet someone had seen the need to stop what they were doing with the portal. It was obvious to everyone that they had something important to say. No one was quite sure what had happened at the portal until they received a communication through the net. This was shared publically.
We are called the “Earth Way.” The destruction of the portal was meant to prevent Earth people from reaching out to the other dimensions unnaturally. We feel that we on Earth can handle our own issues and do not want the mixed energy of the mystics to interfere. We believe in our own destiny as it stands. We welcome the mystics on Earth to assist in the growth of our society, but we are not ready to risk all that we have built on this planet.
“What do they want?” Jasmine asked as Talis and several others were waiting near the Council chambers.
“They want us to fulfill our own destiny,” Tythia explained.
“And is that what you believe?”
“I’m not sure anymore,” Tythia said as she looked out at the burned-out shell of the portal. “I certainly believe that we create our own destiny by our belief and by the efforts we make, but I also have strong kinship with the spirit world. I believe in peace and balance. And now the child; never before have we had such an issue.”
“And do you think we can reach out to the Earth Way?” Joshua inquired.
“Do we have time?” Talis asked.
Tythia turned to the group. “It is my turn to help now. I believe I can reach out and will attempt to talk with them. I have an idea that just might work. I shall return as soon as I can.” She left the group hurriedly as she knew there was little time.
Helena walked into the room where the group was gathered. During her quiet time, she had heard the conversation.
“Friends, this is a time to believe in the sincerity of the mystics. As Elders, we will have time to find peace with the people that oppose our connection with Lillian. But my intuition is we need to assist with the ascension and bring this divine child to Earth.”
Layia raised the question. “And how will we do this without the portal? We can enter our trance state to communicate, but this transfer will take a more powerful connection.”
