“Nearly! A little higher!” She was almost there, Dan stood on tiptoe, and she found the top and tipped her palms over the edge. She shook the sticky juice off into the strange liquid.

“OK.” Dan lowered her down and held her close as she touched the ground.

“You are one hot dude.” She whispered into his chest, clutching him tightly.

Carnea, or Mud as she was known to Dan, had rejoined them and together they watched for any change in Lithia's cylinder. Her eyes were still closed, the perfect lips slightly parted in what should have been a sensual way. She did not appear dead, just in a frozen state. Her large breasts were still and her palms were turned outwards. Her graceful thighs were together, her toes turned inward as she hung there, suspended like a giant doll about to come to life.

The liquid glowed and bubbled slightly as it had done since they entered. Of Dan's semen there was no sign. But something was happening, the liquid was racing with more bubbles now. The embedded jewel-like protrusions on the cheekbones and pubic region of the alien were softly glowing red.

“Yes! It's working,” cried Dan, “Mud, can you check on Gaia?”

As the tall alien raced away, Lithia was coming to life. She was moving her hands and toes, her mouth opening and closing like a fish.

“Is she okay?” Aurelia asked, worried. “Shouldn't there be some kind of waking procedure?”

“There's no time for that now, even if Mud knows how.” Dan was looking around for something to break the glass. “We have to get them out now!”

Lithia's eyes suddenly opened. Her mouth shut tight now as she thrashed her arms and legs back and forth. Her huge blue eyes lighted upon Dan and they saw her pushing on the glass and looking about her desperately.

“Shit.” Dan was frantically searching the rows of cylinders for a tool but there was nothing.

“We have to get them out of the top then!” Cried Dan, as he started climbing the cylinder. He reached the top and dived over the edge, hanging in the liquid by his waist. He yanked Lithia out and into breathable atmosphere. Pulling at the limits of his strength he hauled the prone alien out of the cylinder and paused at the edge.

“Can you catch her?” Dan grunted at Aurelia, who nodded and prepared herself.

Between the two of them they lowered Lithia as gently as they could to the ground, and Aurelia began to try to bring the tall female round. Dan, meanwhile, raced away to find Gaia's chamber and help Mud lift her out. As he approached he could hear the terror in Mud's thoughts and as he rounded a row of cylinders he found Mud standing next to Gaia's cylinder, wringing her hands and moaning.

“Quick! Help me!” Dan cried and vaulted up the cylinders fixings. He dove into the liquid for Gaia had sunk to the bottom, unable to free herself now that her reanimation had taken place. She didn't look well.

Dan hauled her to the surface and then boosted her to the top. He was feeling weak now, and whatever was in the liquid wasn't doing him much good. Mud had climbed up though, and it was she who pulled the stricken alien out of the cylinder, falling down but using her body as a crash mat for her comrade.

Dan jumped weakly out and knelt next to Gaia, hoping they were not too late. Where do you start with an alien, he thought. Pulse? Heartbeat? He laid Gaia on the floor and began mouth to mouth. God she's sexy, Dan thought as he pressed his mouth to her pretty lips.

The alien-hybrid's lungs were very similar to human's, and all of a sudden Dan felt liquid rushing out as she began to cough and heave. Pretty soon he was hauling her along back to find Lithia.

When he had reunited Gaia with her mate Lithia, they were overjoyed. Dan took a moment to get his breath back, he had swallowed some of the liquid in the cylinder and he still didn't feel too good.

“Come on.” Said Aurelia, “We need to find a way off this ship.”

They made their way out of the cryo-chambers and along the corridor, pausing to duck into offshoots if any greys or blues were wandering along. Finally, they reached the area which adjoined the docking station for the extraterrestrial crafts. There was much more activity here, a new shipment of humans were being herded in a trance-like state towards the Breeders halls. Dan shuddered as he remembered his own ordeal in there.

“We need a distraction.” Aurelia mused. “A big one.”

  Dan was eyeing her thoughtfully.

“We have a flock of sheep there. If the sheep start to escape..”

“..then the shepherds are gonna be busy!” Aurelia finished. Lithia caught up with them.

If we can distract the humans maybe they will break free from the drones. It is but a tenuous bond at best. Dan smiled at her.

“Distraction? I reckon that's your forte, ladies!”

“Let's play this one on the hoof, shall we?” Dan started to rise, Aurelia following him.

“Follow my lead!” She said and strode up to the line of humans and aliens streaming from the docking area. Honing straight in on one young male, she ignored the mind of the drone as it tried to penetrate hers. She grabbed the teen by his shoulders and planted a kiss straight on his lips.

“Listen!” She hissed when she had broken free, “Wake up! You need to wake up! Free yourself!”

She moved to the next man and tried the same technique. She could see Gaia and Lithia doing the same, while Mud was following Dan who was sidling towards the entrance of the docking area, heavily fortified with male blue drones.

Gaia was using her mind to penetrate the haze of the humans in their trance and slowly it began to work. Pandemonium began to break out. Lithia was embracing the men and kissing them passionately, a hand cupping their balls as she did so. She's a pro, thought Aurelia.

One by one, the men started to shout and try and flee, the hold on their minds broken by their sudden passionate encounters. The drones began to nervously creep forward to try and quell the rebellion, and Dan seized his chance. Swiftly and ruthlessly he dispatched the nearest guards with a series of hard kicks aimed at their slender chests. Mud followed him. As they got to within reach of an alien ship, he turned and whistled, a piercing note that echoed through the din and clamour of the full-scale rebellion going on before them.

Aurelia grabbed Gaia and Lithia followed, racing towards the docking area.

“Get us inside!” Aurelia pleaded with Lithia. The tall female was operating the controls to a ship's hatch and they found themselves boarding it, sensing elation as their escape solidified before their eyes.

“Is this gonna work?” Dan demanded, and Gaia shot through to the control area, closing the ship's outer wall as she did so.

Hold on tight said Gaia There is no time for antigravity

Deploy said Lithia. The ship rose in place, a powerful thrum beneath their feet. Dan could see the mother ship's docking wall opening and before them suddenly lay the vast emptiness of space.

Aurelia felt a wild thrill lurch through her heart, then suddenly she found herself off her feet as the ship launched without the anti-gravity devices in place. Her head connected with a solid object with a sickening crunch and she felt no more.

Time passed on the ship. A few hours to them, it was days in Earth's' time. Eventually Aurelia came round. She was lying on a bed, resting. Her shipmates all appeared to be intact. She looked about, the walls of the ship set to translucent, she could see darkness punctuated by bright stars. There was no sign of the Sun yet, or planet Earth, for that matter. Strange, how you get used to all this space travel, she thought.

Lithia brought her some liquid to drink, the cinnamon taste travelling down her throat like rain. Gaia had set a course for Earth. She hoped it would work this time, she saw no reason to think it wouldn't, but there was always the threat that the mother ship had sent a Greek gift with them.

As her eyes came into focus she could see Dan's approaching, his worried face creasing into a broad smile. He bent down and kissed her forehead.

“You had me worried, girl!” He smiled, but his eyes belied his casu
alness.

“Don't worry, I'm from country stock.” Aurelia smiled, her head throbbing. “Tough as old nails!”

He leaned forward gently then and kissed her long and slow on the lips. When he had finished, Aurelia felt a hundred times better. She traced a fingernail down his chest. It was going to be a long journey, she thought, perking up a little. Her hands dropped down to Dan's belt and she found her fingers starting to undo it. What to do in all that time, she thought. What to do indeed..
