Oh, my mouth formed with no sound. My Oni. Anger tended to release him and Felix was my best mate. So yeah, I was pissed. “We need to find that bitch who did this to them.”

She nodded, then sat up, allowing the sheets to settle on my legs. Angelica’s breasts exposed was a very welcoming sight in the morning.

I grinned. “As pissed as I may feel, you are quite the vision to my morning.”

She tilted her head with an appreciative smile. “Thank you.”

“You’re welcome. Now,” sitting up to join her, I stretched and ran my hands through my tousled hair. “What do we know about her?”

She shook her head. “Nothing other than Teach fucking her.”

“Right,” I answered and ran a hand down the scruff that began to grow on my cheeks. “I need to piss and brush my teeth. Would you have an extra toothbrush?”

She nodded. “Sure do. In the bathroom cabinet.” She paused for a moment. “Do you want breakfast?” she asked.

I nodded. “That would be fantastic.”

“Right. Let me take care of me, then I’ll take care of you.”

I smiled. “A guy could get used to this.”

She laughed. “Help yourself to the shower, or anything else in there. What’s mine is yours.”

“I wish I could say the same,” I said between brushes. “Sharing a home with Felix has been easy for the most part. Dude can eat you out of house and home, though, when he gets closer to his change.”

Her eyes lifted to mine and her brows rose in curiosity. “You make it sound as if he has a man-period.” We both laughed. “He lives with you?”

I nodded. “Of course. It would be difficult to have said woman to share if he weren’t there.”

“Oh, right,” she attempted with a humorous laugh. “I didn’t think about that.”

I stepped closer and took her arm. Giving her a gentle tug, I looked into her eyes. “Angelica, are you sure this is something you want? We only come as a pair.”

She nodded. “Yes, I think so.”

I released her and took a step back. “You have time to think it over. Don’t rush this decision.”

“I could say the same to you.”

I grinned. “I’m not rushing. I want you. I have for a very long time.”

Then it was her turn to mouth, Oh.

Chuckling, he said, “Shower first. We’ll talk to Felix about it when we can.”

She nodded and left the room. I smiled and lowered my head. Things were definitely about to change for the better, but first, first we needed to get Felix back. I had a feeling things were going get worse before any of the better decided to give us freedom.

I sighed and walked to the bathroom. As the shower ran, Angelica’s silhouette was framed in the glass shower door. She was so beautiful. Her long blonde hair, creamy skin, beautiful green eyes. Her lips were slightly full, just enough to long for her kiss. Then her legs and that ass, I could bury my face between her thighs for hours. And I had plans to do just that.

  But not quite yet.

  Felix.

  Witch.

  Full moon.

Damn, I wish Jac and Rowan were here. She had connections with her army.

I stopped mid-thought and stood still. This had been the first time I’d thought of her without feeling sorry for myself. She was gone and I was okay with it. I glanced over my shoulder to Angelica and grinned. Yes, this was absolutely happening.

After feasting on eggs, bacon and the like, I handed Angelica a helmet. We rode on my bike back to the club. I had hopes that maybe the pack would have shifted back. That was highly assuming the witch would have granted such a favor.

Luck would have it, though, no. I parked and put down the stand.

“Stay here,” I said and got off. Giving her my helmet, I took in the grounds. “Whatever happens, you yell for me, or take off on the bike. Do you understand?” Meeting her gaze, she nodded nervously.

“You trust me with your bike?”

“I trust you more away from me if something were to happen, say, with a certain demon?”

“Oh,” she whispered, then nodded. “And the pack?”

He grinned. “You got a knife?”

She smiled with a nod. “And my piece.” She pulled out her gun from her behind her.

“Where did you have that hidden?”

She shrugged. “I have a holster that is hidden.”

“I see,” I said with a grin. Leaning into her, I kissed her softly. “Stay here. I mean it.”

She nodded. “I will. I promise.”

“Good girl. I would say yell for me, but…”

She rolled her eyes. “Unlike one of us here, I can yell and control my power.”

I chuckled with a wink. “Good to know.” Pulling out my phone, I pressed a few buttons and brought the phone to my ear. After a few rings, he picked up.

“Hello?” the blood demon, Adam, answered. He was not someone I would consider a friend, but the man had connections. He knew how to find people.

  “Hey, man, it’s Kai.”

“’Sup, dude? How’ve you been?” Adam had been part of Jac’s army when she fought the humans. He stood by our side and proved himself loyal to the cause, but I wouldn’t trust him further than that. Blood demons tended to latch on to their victims, no pun intended. He held onto his former girlfriend for a moment too long. She almost lost her life if it were not for the club stepping in.

Teach had a hard on for Gretchen and hated that she was setup with a blood demon. He took care of her, then soon after, she disappeared.

“Doing good, thanks for asking. Listen, something happened last night.” I went over the details of last night about the witch and her spell.

  “Ahh yeah, freaking cunt, huh?”

“Something like that,” I sighed and peeked around a corner. It was clear. Stepping further around, I hesitated; a panther was down in the distance, most likely sleeping. I suddenly felt grateful the club owned a lot of this land. I never asked what they did out here, but right now, this was good.

“I’ll make a few calls and be in touch,” Adam told me, then hung up.

Putting my phone away, I made my way back to Angelica. She had her gun out, examining it. She had the clip out and was looking it over. She placed it back inside and bumped her palm against it.

“Nothing sexier than a woman with a weapon,” I called.

She looked up with a smile. Blowing fake smoke off the top of it, she put it up behind her. “Oh, mister, will you show me how to shoot?” she asked with a child-like voice.

I chuckled. “I’ll be happy to let you handle my gun, baby.” Leaning in, I kissed her.

She smiled. “When is the full moon?”

  “Tomorrow, I believe.”

She nodded. “Good. We need to prepare for whatever may happen.”

My brows rose. “And you have an idea on what might happen?”

Angelica shook her head no and she lowered her eyes. “I have no idea. But if they were to become human, even for a second, imagine how pissed they’ll be.” She looked up to me. “I would be out for fucking blood, Kai.”

I perked a brow. “Yeah, I got you there. I made a call and am hopeful for a few leads. Hopefully it won’t be long till I hear something.”

She nodded. “Good. Now, take me home?”

  “Umm, sure? Is everything okay?”

“Oh yeah!” she smiled. “If you stay over again, we need a few things. Like clean clothes, bathroom stuff, and toys.”

  Curious, he asked, “Toys?”

She grinned. “Yes. Toys. I enjoy a good masturbation as any girl does, but to have my guy do it for me while I’m tied up? Fuck yes!”

“Oh, I am so in love with this idea,” I said and kissed her. “Fuck, woman, you made my cock hard.” And she did. My mind pictured me holding her body against me while her legs were tied to the side, and Felix devoured her pussy. Fuck yes, that would happen.

I groaned against her lips. “When we get
to your place, I’ll help you get as much of whatever you need to my place.”

She laughed. “What, are you moving me in already? So soon?”

I chuckled. “Not quite, no, but you’ll definitely have some stuff there. I want you there when Felix transitions back, whenever that is,” I said with a sigh.

Her hand touched my cheek and when I looked into her eyes, I saw patience, adoration, longing. I saw myself.

“He will be okay, Kai. I just know it. This is Felix. He’s a fighter. He will get through this and we will get him through it.”

I nodded and pressed my hand to hers, my cheek against her palm. “You’re amazing, woman.” As fast as our whirlwind romance was moving, right now, I didn’t care. She cared about my feelings, about Felix, about all of us. This made me want her that much more. “Let’s get out of here.”

  Chapter 4

  KAI

A day had passed since I had spoken with Adam. A part of me knew I couldn’t trust him, but I had to push that aside. Blood demons were all the same. Considering I was a demon, it felt almost like that saying, pot calling the kettle black. At least I owned up to what I was and did what I could to be ‘good.’ At least as much as I could with my inner demon. However, where Adam was concerned, this was my only lead. I didn’t like it but it was all I had right now.

I took Angelica home last night. She was due to bartend tonight, although I’m not quite positive to who…since it was the club bar, who would she serve? Regardless, she would be there, and I would be by her side. If that witch happened to show up, which would be foolish of her, we had a plan. Well, I did; catch her, torture for information, then death.

I chuckled at my own thoughts. Right, because she’s idiot enough to show back up.

My phone buzzed on the counter. Standing from my couch, I made my way over to it.

“Adam,” I mumbled. Swiping my finger across the screen, the phone opened. Tapping on the messages, his note was quite clear.

Found her. Warehouse on 10th, tonight at 9:00. You know the place. See you there.

Nodding to myself, I then called Angelica. She answered.

  “Hey, doll. Adam found her.”

She sighed into the phone. “Well, this is the best piece of information. Where and when?”

I relayed the time and place. She cleared her throat over the line. “Well, it’s not like anyone will be in tonight. I’m coming with you.”

“I think you should be at the bar, in case someone comes in, anyone.”

The line was silent for a moment. “Who the hell is going to come, Kai? Everyone that would be there is now a fucking pussycat.”

I snorted a chuckle. “If Felix heard you say that—”

She interrupted, “Yeah, yeah, he’d spank me.”

I grinned into the phone. “Yeah, he would while I held you down.”

  “Tease,” she said softly.

“Tell you what,” I started and sat back down on my couch, my hand grasping the wood I sported. The woman brought it out of me simply by hearing her voice. “I’ll have my phone with me. Text me if anyone comes in. No one shows, no one at all, then meet me at the warehouse.” She’d meet me no matter what I said. Only way I could potentially keep her away would be by tying her up. The thought of her tied on my bed made my cock twitch.

“Deal,” she said with a huff. “What are you doing till then?”

“Loading up on weapons.” The line was silent again for a moment. I could just imagine the thoughts in her head.

How do you plan on taking out a witch with a gun?

What if human bullets don’t kill her?

What if they do kill her but she haunts your ass?

“Ask, whatever it is, because I know you’re thinking something,” I told her.

“Well? I suppose my only question is, who gets to pull the trigger?”

I grinned. That’s my girl. “It depends on who is holding the weapon.”

“Well, my weapon,” she began, “wouldn’t exactly be a gun.”

“Right. I’ll call you later. Be ready to go to the bar. I want you there, please understand.”

“I’m not a damsel in fucking distress, Kai. I’d appreciate you not treating me as such.”

I closed my eyes and rested my head back on my couch. “I know, Angelica, I’m sorry, I know. But please, Adam is…he’s not a nice guy. He’s a blood demon.”

“I can handle a blood demon. What I can’t handle is being treated like a fucking pussy.”

I grinned once more. This woman was definitely no pussycat. I needed to give her more credit. “All right. Assuming the bar is empty, meet me at the warehouse.”

“I was going to anyway,” she said and followed it up with a raspberry blow.

  “Nice, baby, real nice.”

She giggled into the phone. “You don’t own me, Kai.”

  “Hmm…I own that ass.”

She laughed harder into the line. “Hardly. You’ll work for this pussy, fucker.”

I chuckled and shook my head. I liked a challenge and she definitely gave it. “Right. See you later, baby.”

“Later, hun.” Angelica hung up. Setting my phone down, I sighed into the air. She was right; I needed her help, as much as I wanted to deny her being there. She’s a fucking banshee. The woman could kill and do away with the spirit of the witch quicker than any of us could make any attempt in doing so.

The night felt heavy with humidity as the threat of rain blew in. My skin felt sticky. The warehouse was dark. It had not been powered in quite some time. Homeless squatters and drug exchanges took place here most nights.

A noise caught my attention and turning around, Adam entered the warehouse. True to his word, the man came with information. He held a folder in his hand as he approached. His pale skin appeared to be luminous in the light that shone in from the outside street lamps. As he met my gaze, his azure eyes glowed. Creepy as fuck.

“Hey, man,” Adam started. “Got your shit. What do you have for it?”

I pulled out a bag and handed it over. Adam took it and opened it, looking inside. “O negative?”

  “Yep. Now, the information?”

Adam handed over the folder, then pulled out a blood bag. He bit into it and sucked the bag dry in a matter of seconds.

  My brow perked. “Thirsty?”

He nodded. “Yeah. Staying clean is tough.”

I shook my head. “Right.” Opening the folder, the information about this witch and her coven…I had no idea what I was walking into. This bitch was a necromancer. Her name was Tabby O’Malley. The image in the folder did not look like who we saw the other night. This woman was actually quite beautiful. Red hair, blue eyes, fair skin with freckles. Definitely not who I saw the other night.

Glancing up to Adam, I asked, “Are you sure you have the right woman? This is not who was in the bar the other night. Who we saw had black hair and her skin was very pale.”

He stepped closer and looked on the paperwork. He then pointed to a spot I obviously missed.

  “Shape shifter?” I asked.

He nodded. “Yeah, you got your hands full, my friend.”

“I may be many things, Adam, but your friend is not one of them.” Closing the envelope, I nodded to him. “Thank you for the information.”

“Hello, boys,” called the voice of Angelica.

I closed my eyes and lowered my head. Fuck, I thought to myself.

“Well, hello, lady luck,” Adam called.

Opening my eyes, I looked to Adam. “You think it, I will release my Oni on your ass and kill you where you stand.”

His brows rose and he took a step back. “I don’t need any trouble, man. I was serious, I’m trying to do good here.” He glanced over to Angelica and smirked. “What’s your name, darling?”

“Fucking bitch. What’s yours?” she said to him and stepped to my side. She linked her hand through my arm and leaned against me. “You good?”

  “For now,” I growled.

Right,” Adam said and nodded. “I’ll umm…I’ll go. Happy witch hunting.” He turned and left the warehouse.

“Good timing,” I told her. “So, no one came in?”

She huffed. “Like I went in. No one will be there.”

“Seriously?” I shook my head. “If they weren’t all panthers right now…”

She finished for me. “What? I’d get fired? They like looking at my ass too much for that.” I shook my head. “So, what did you find out?”

I opened the folder and let her in on the witch being a necromancer and a shape shifter. Angelica looked to me with concern.

“How the fuck do we find someone when we have no idea what they actually look like?”

“I believe this is what she actually looks like. And if I’m correct, we call her by her real name and she’ll be forced to reveal her true nature.”

  “Really? You’re sure about that?”

I shrugged. “Honestly? No, but this is what I’ve learned along life’s path of the supernatural.”

  “Smart ass.”

I chuckled. “Come on, Fucking Bitch. Let’s get out of here.”

She grinned. “You liked that, huh?”

I nodded. “Yes, well played.” As we made our way from the warehouse, I pulled to a stop. “Tomorrow night is the full moon. Are you ready for this?”

  She nodded. “Yeah, why?”

“No, I mean with Felix. Are you ready for this? When he shifts back, assuming he DOES shift back that is, he’ll be out for blood.”

“Of course I’ll be ready. And he won’t be just out for blood. He’ll have a lot of aggression and anger to get out.” She grinned. “Angry sex is fucking hot.”

I chuckled. “Right. Okay then. Let’s go.”

  Chapter 5

  FELIX

The night had come of the full moon. What would happen now that it was here? I’m already a fucking panther. Do I become human? My pack, for the most part, remained together. Our Alpha did good to keep his cool. Our president was a good man, but he was coming to the end of his reign. Would he survive this? Most likely. Would he continue in his role? No idea. Teach was next in line as Vice President, but after bringing this shit upon our pack? Yeah, he’d probably get stripped.
