The Baker Gets His Man

“Come on, Race. Take what you want. I’ll return the favor later.”

Race needed no further encouragement; he thrust back into Jacob, his rhythm harder and harsher than before now that Jacob had given him permission to pursue his own pleasure. Jacob whispered dirty encouragement the entire time, little teasing phrases and commands that he barely realized he’d said as he floated in a haze of satisfied want.

He felt it when the pleasure crested and broke over Race as well, felt it when he thrust deep and his back bowed as he held himself still deep inside of Jacob. Race went boneless behind him after a few more moments, and a deep sigh ripped itself from him to waft across the skin of Jacob’s neck. They lay like that for a while, Race gently stroking Jacob’s hip with his fingertips as their chests rose and fell together. The silence between them was pleasant and comfortable, and Jacob was almost asleep when Race spoke.

“You’re so good at ruining my plans, Jacob. But I think I’d like to get used to it.” Jacob was alert after that, the haze of sleep that had drifted over him lifting instantly.

“Would you really? Like to get used to it, that is?” Jacob tensed as soon as the words were out, but then he steeled his resolve and pressed on. “I’m not going to let you get away with that running away shit again, Race. This time you’re either going to be upfront about what you want from me or I’m going to hunt you down and make you tell me.” Jacob was serious. He’d respect whatever answer Race gave him, would respect his decision when it came to whatever it was that was going on between them, but he wouldn’t let Race ignore him like he did before. He wouldn’t sit around and pine for an answer again.

“If you’re really going to give me a chance to make up for being an asshole earlier then you don’t have anything to worry about. If this is you seriously letting me into your life and not just a one off then I’m not going to mess it up again like that. I’ll be here in the morning, and as often as you’ll let me afterwards. You’re going to have to beat me off with a stick.”

Jacob laughed, the sound still husky with fulfilled want and exhaustion, but it also rang with delight. He was happy, couldn’t actually remember when he’d been happier. Race was with him, was interested in him, and wanted to give the thing between them the chance to grow and mature, to maybe become something great.

“I play for keeps, Jacob, and I’ve wanted to keep you since the day we met.” Race pressed a sweet kiss to his ear, and his long arms tightened around Jacob’s waist.

“Me too, Race. Me too.” He looked forward to finding out what else Race wanted to do to him in great detail. He had more than a few ideas he was sure they had in common.

It’d be fun to find out.
