Dream Vampire Page 3

by Hunter, Lauren J.

He stepped close, running his hands over her breasts, pinching her nipples through the soft material. She sighed, her knees loose. Meeting her eyes, he pulled the straps of the dress down over her shoulders and made a growling sound as the material pooled around her feet, leaving her in her red panties.

“Allow me.” He lowered the remaining garment down her legs, then stepped away, easing his gaze slowly along her frame. “Your body is magnificent.”

She shivered again, but not from the cold. Maybe he was using his mind, or maybe it was her imagination, but she could still feel his hands on her. She watched his face, searching for signs that he was creating the sensations—that he was using his vampire abilities on her again. But she really didn’t care. The look on his face took her breath away. He stared at her with such raw desire and longing, it was almost too intimate. Too vulnerable. Surely a gorgeous, worldly creature like Michael could have any woman he wanted.

As was his new habit, he answered her thought. “After so many centuries, having any woman I wanted became meaningless. I’ve been searching for a deeper connection—for a woman who would share my life, as well as my body. A woman who’d love the man I was before I died, in addition to the dark soul I’ve become.”

She frowned. “Do you really believe you’re a dark soul? I remember asking you, when I was small, if being a vampire made you bad and you said ‘no’. You said you were still the ‘delightful fellow’ you’d always been. Have you changed your mind?”

The corners of his mouth raised in a melancholy smile and sadness filmed his eyes. “The longer one is a creature of the night, the easier it is to forget ever having been human. I’ve done some things that would repulse you if you knew about them.” He inched closer. “But I don’t wish to speak of such things tonight. Tonight I want to fill you in every way. I want to taste every aspect of your body, your mind—your soul.”

She froze, suddenly afraid. “You aren’t going to drink my blood, are you?”

He stepped closer and locked his magnetic gaze on hers. “Drinking blood is the most intimate thing I can offer you. It makes the sexual experience ecstatic. When the moment is right, and my cock is buried deep inside you, and you’re screaming your pleasure, I’ll offer you more. The choice will be yours.”

Her breath caught and she shuddered, not sure if it was from fear or excitement. The mental image of him piercing her neck with his fangs as he drove himself into her made her groan with desire. Just an hour ago she’d been sure vampires were fantasy creatures, living only between the covers of books and on movie screens—figments of her over-active imagination. Now she was lusting after the very real one standing in front of her.

She closed the remaining distance between them, ran her hands down his chest, exploring the muscles beneath the silk and the long hair flowing over his shoulders. Noticing that his shirt didn’t have buttons, but was instead tied with several thin straps of soft material, she began loosening them from the neck down. Still gazing into his eyes, she gave a wicked smile. When all the ties were undone, she placed one finger on each shoulder, pushing the fabric down his muscular arms, letting it fall at their feet. The subtle, intoxicating aroma of aroused male flooded her senses and she breathed in the scent of him, rubbing her cheek against his smooth chest. She slowly drew her lips along his skin, capturing a nipple and sucking while he moaned. He clenched his hands in her hair as she flicked her tongue over the sensitive bud. Kissing her way to his other nipple, she pulled as much of him into her mouth as possible, eliciting another groan.

She lifted her head, already missing the connection with his cool skin, and brought her hands to the single button fastening his pants. Shifting her gaze, she watched his face as she released the button, slid the waistband of his pants down his thighs, and grasped the thick cock jutting out from a nest of soft hair. His erection was long and perfect, and she stroked its length, rubbing her thumb over the drop of pre-come glistening at the tiny opening. His eyes were intense upon hers. She was just about to kneel and take his cock into her mouth when she felt a whoosh of air, a sense of motion and found herself lying on her back on a large bed.

Michael stood nude at the end of the bed, his pants and boots somehow discarded, and his erection thick and ready. He appeared otherworldly in the soft light. With his long hair and muscular body, he looked like every vampire hero she’d ever written. Or, rather every hero had looked like him. She understood now. No wonder being with him felt so right—as if the memory of him had been recorded in every cell of her body.

He crawled onto the bed, spread her legs with his hands and knelt between them. “I intend to spend the remaining hours until dawn giving you such pleasure as you’ve never experienced before. I want to know every inch of you. Every hidden delight. There will be many other times for you to devote yourself to my pleasure. Tonight is yours.”

Lowering his head between her legs, he hooked an arm underneath each knee and lifted her legs, spreading them even wider. She felt his warm breath just before his tongue slid along the side of her wet clit. Even that small contact made her cry out, her hips bucking instinctively. He grasped her legs more firmly, and sucked her tender button into his mouth, creating a gentle pressure, as he used his tongue to circle, stimulating pleasure centers she didn’t know she had. Moving in synch with the rhythm of his tongue, she felt herself beginning to build toward orgasm. She grabbed his hair and held him, encouraging him to stroke a particular spot. Just as she was about to come, he nipped her clit with the point of one of his sharp teeth and she gasped, releasing her grip on his hair. The pain had been oddly arousing. Her pussy was so wet from her juices and his mouth, she could feel the moisture dripping down, pooling between the cheeks of her ass.

He raised up, sat back on his heels, and smiled, licking a drop of blood from his lips.

“You taste wonderful—both your pussy and your blood. I look forward to many feasts.” He crawled further up her body until his cock nestled between her lower lips. He raised himself, as if he was doing push-ups, and angled his thickness along her clit, bringing her quickly back to the edge. She grasped his ass in her palms, and held him, thrusting her hips against the movement of his cock. Again, just as she was about to peak, he pulled away, balanced himself over her and lowered his lips to hers. She wound her arms around his neck, tugging him closer, yearning for his weight against her body. Deepening the kiss, their tongues slid over and around each other. Alana tasted the musky essence of her own juices and the softer, coppery taste of her blood in his mouth. To her total amazement, she found it an intoxicating brew.

As they kissed, she began rocking her hips against his, sending a clear message. She raised her lips from his and whispered, “Please, I want you inside me.”

He relaxed his arms, lowering his body to cover hers, and rubbed the head of his cock against her opening. “Do you remember what else you used to tell me when you were a child? What you made me promise?”

What was he asking? She was so aroused, so excited by Michael’s lovemaking that she could barely speak. She was on the verge of the biggest orgasm of her life and she didn’t understand how he could be so calm. How he could just talk about the past. “Oh, stop torturing me and put your cock inside me, dammit! I’m about to go mad.”

He chuckled and slipped a couple of inches of his cock into her slit. “Torturing you, am I? Tell me what you said, and I’ll grant your wish.”

She groaned, whispering, “I said I’d love you forever. I made you promise you’d marry me when I grew up. It was a fairy tale.”

“I’d like to make that fairy tale come true.” He shoved himself into her, causing her to gasp and rake her fingernails down his back. Thrusting deeply, he pumped faster, groaning as the muscles of her vagina contracted around his cock, milking it. He spoke breathlessly, “You’re so wet and hot. So tight. You make me feel alive again. I never dared to dream that this could happen.” And, even as he said the words, she screamed her release and felt the pulsing of the
beginning of his orgasm.

He sucked in a breath, and gazed into her eyes. “I want this to be your choice. Your decision. Will you let me be all that I am with you? Will you give me your blood?”

She didn’t even have to think about it. Nothing about this man felt dark to her. For some reason, she trusted him. She didn’t know if she was bewitched by his vampire powers or by the man himself, but she didn’t care. “Yes. Take my blood. I know you won’t harm me.”

Turning her head to expose the ivory expanse of skin, he kissed her neck. She felt a quick burst of pain and then the most exquisite sensation blossomed from her core. As he sucked on the pulsing vein, he pumped his cock inside her and she felt him building toward release. Unexpectedly, she began to crest again and she met his rhythm with hers. He made a noise low in his throat, and with a final thrust, she came and felt him ejaculate his warm seed. He sucked her neck for a few seconds more, then slid his tongue over the wound. Delicious orgasmic aftershocks vibrated through her body. All she could do was smile.

Lifting his head, he gazed into her eyes, her blood wet on his mouth. “You have surprised me, and I am rarely surprised. At least not in a positive way. After so much time, vampires tend to become jaded and cynical. We focus only on our own desires—our own needs—and never expect to find a human open-minded enough to accept us for what we are. You have taken me into your body and your heart. You’ve given me your life’s essence. Your thoughts and feelings feed me more deeply than any blood ever could. I hadn’t realized how lonely I’ve become. I am lost in you.” He brushed a strand of her dark hair from her cheek

Lowering his head, he licked her lips with the tip of his tongue, then slid it back inside her mouth, pressing his lips against hers in a passionate kiss. Again, she expected the bitter, coppery taste of her blood on his lips to be unpleasant, but instead she found herself wildly aroused. He obviously had a similar reaction, because his cock hardened inside her, and he began thrusting. Their mouths still locked together, she wrapped her legs around his hips to take him deeper and gasped as his thickness pushed in as far as it could go. She contracted her muscles around his slick, hard cock and heard him growl as he pounded into her. The kiss became more passionate as they clung tightly to each other, hips rocking in perfect timing. As if they were one entity, they exploded—the sensations of their orgasms transcending the boundaries of skin. It was impossible to tell which were her physical reactions and which were his. She wondered if the intense feelings were due to Michael being a vampire or to the newly-uncovered feelings she’d carried for him most of her life. He could’ve been reading her thoughts when he spoke of his loneliness. She knew one thing for sure: she couldn’t lose Michael again.

They finally broke their kiss and gazed into each other’s eyes. “No,” he whispered. “You’ll never lose me again. But the dawn approaches, and I must go to my coffin.” He smiled mischievously, apparently having intercepted the chaotic series of thoughts that had burst from her mind when he said the word “coffin.”

“Yes. I do sleep in a coffin. Clichéd as that is. It is simply the easiest way to keep myself safe during the day. But you’ll be pleased to know it is a deluxe model—fully equipped with everything a contemporary vampire might need in order to experience a restful death coma.” He laughed at the surprised look on her face.

Her eyebrows winged up. “Can I see it?”

“You want to view my coffin? Ah, I see that you do. Well, come along, then.” He withdrew his still-hard cock from her and smiled at her pleased reaction to his resilient erection. “You’ll find that vampires make the best lovers. I look forward to giving you further personal demonstrations. Come.” He rolled out of the bed and stood nude, his aroused alabaster body a treat for the eye, and held out a hand for hers, guiding her out of the bed. He pulled the thick comforter off the mattress and draped it around her shoulders, enclosing her inside the warm fabric. “It’s quite chilly down there, and I wouldn’t want you to be uncomfortable. The air temperature doesn’t affect me, but you might find it isn’t very human-friendly.”

She started to have second thoughts about seeing the place her new lover spent his days. “So, uh, what’s down there? Is it a crypt or something? A dungeon? This place is pretty old. Just about anything could be down there.”

He laughed with pure joy, obviously entertained by some of the visuals floating through her imagination.

“I hate to dash your creative expectations, but it really is just an old basement. My coffin is hidden away in its own little window-less room.”

He took her hand and pulled her through the house, moving toward a door at the far end of the kitchen. Opening with the familiar horror-movie creaking sound, the door let in a burst of cold air. “The stairs are in good repair. They’ll hold you safely.”

She put her hands out in front of her to ward off any impending collisions and searched for a handrail. “Hey, not all of us are vampires. I can’t see anything! Can you turn on a light?”

He chuckled. “Sorry. I’m not used to having company. In fact, no one has ever been down here but me. Except, of course, for one unfortunate incident with that unexpected guest, which you don’t need to hear about right now.” As had happened in the bedroom earlier, their approach proved sufficient to ignite the covered candles lining the walls, and as she descended the stairs, she was relieved to see that it was, indeed, just a basement.

He maneuvered them through furniture, dust-covered boxes, draped paintings and other artifacts to a strange-looking door hidden behind an ornate standing mirror. She was temporarily startled to see only her own image in the mirror and not Michael’s, but she decided she’d add that to the list of things to think about later. The door was made of steel or metal, or something that was an obvious mismatch for the ancient house.

Michael punched in some numbers on a nearby keypad and the door opened with a “woosh” sound. He smiled and waved an arm through the air, enticing her to enter what looked like a bank vault.

He smiled. “Yes, after the last unfortunate incident, I felt it necessary to increase my security. Step inside. I want to show you something.”

She pulled the blanket closer, looked around nervously, then indulged his request. He clicked something on the wall and soft light flooded the space as the heavy door closed behind them. In the center of the room, as large as a mid-size car, sat an ornate coffin. She inched over, peered inside and laughed out loud. The red-satin-lined interior contained pillows, soft blankets and books tucked into shelves along one side of the coffin. Personal items were displayed in clear drawers along the other side. She was surprised there wasn’t a television.

“Ah, but there is.” Michael picked up a remote control device and clicked it, causing a platform to rise from the end of the coffin. The platform held a small television and DVD player. “I told you my coffin had everything a contemporary vampire could desire.”

She goggled. “Why is it so big? Where on Earth did you find a coffin this large? Did you have it custom designed?”

“Actually, it seems obesity has become a serious problem with humans these days, and many burial companies offer super-sized coffins. I ordered this one via the Internet.”

She laughed and shook her head, then noticed she wasn’t cold. “Is this room heated? You said you didn’t mind the cold. And why would you need air in here?”

“It’s true that the cold is irrelevant. And I don’t need the air. As a dead man, I’m insensitive to the temperature and almost everything else, but I do enjoy keeping up the illusion of normalcy. Since it makes no difference to me, and I can afford to indulge myself, I like to pretend I’m just a regular guy. I’m sure that seems pitiful.” He turned his gaze to her, actively studying her face to gage her reaction to his confession.

She smiled. “Not pitiful at all. In fact, I like it a lot. You know why?”

He grinned. “I think I’m beginning to catch a glimmer.”

She dropped the blanket, stroked her hand down his
chest and grasped his erection. Still holding his cock, she gently tugged him over to the coffin and stepped in. Lowering her rear end, she smiled. “I’ll bet we have just enough time for one more orgasm before the sun knocks you out. What do you think?”

“I think you read my mind.”

“I used to be quite a wild woman, I’ll have you know.”

  He chuckled, “Indeed?”

“But I have to admit, I never had any of my heroines sleep in the coffin with the dead guy. I’m in unknown territory, here.”

“Well, rest assured I don’t snore.”

She laughed and pulled him down next to her on the cool satin. “Don’t forget to set the alarm clock. I have a hot date with a vampire at sundown.”

“Hot date with a vampire. That sounds like an excellent title for a book.”

  “Or a series...”

  Trick or Treat

Sliding through the darkness, Natasha entered the cold, quiet house. She ran her hand along the side of the wall, found the light switch, clicked it, but nothing happened.

“Hello? Is anybody here?” she shouted.

Her words echoed back to her in the shadowed emptiness. She stood still for a moment, straining to detect any signs of the presence of the man she’d expected to meet there.

He’d sent a note with a black rose attached. Her favorite. Being a punctual sort, she was right on time for what he’d said would be a night she’d never forget.

Pushing her hands out in front of her, she inched forward in the darkness, searching for another room where he might be waiting. She shivered with excitement and fear. The man’s note had been so enticing. Asking her to meet him in an ancient, abandoned house seemed adventurous at first. Now she was anxious. But she had told him she liked surprises. Especially wicked ones.
